American Host Motel - West Yarmouth

It was the absolute best price over the internet for a one night stay. It was worth the price. Our primary goal was a reasonable overnight room. The be was comfy. And even though we didn't partake,there were some sweets and cereal for breakfasts. Other people gave this place a bad rap. However, they did prepare me to bring my own shampoo.

Was very disapointed, the office personal had no personality what so ever, as far as working with the public, We arrived to find that the jacuzzi was out of order, one thing I was looking forward to. The room was in somewhat decent shape other than the remote for tv was broken, reported it to the office waited 2 hours for someone to check it out, ended up having to change rooms because tv was messed up, the bed had flat rather than a fitted sheet on it, with a mattress protector that was made for a double bed on a king, so only half the mattress was covered, I had thought to bring my own linen which we used on top of bedspread, the pool was clean and relaxing, Over all the ole saying is you get what you pay for, the price was worth the stay.....

I think the cleanliness of the room could have been much better. The room is fine for just an overnighter but not for a weeks vacation. The people in the main office were very pleasant. I was surprised as there was no shampoo in the room as I forget to pack for my trip.

That's all you get so don't expect shampoo, soap or even a coffee maker. Just be fortunate if you get 2 pillows and a mattress. Tub was dirty. A dirty towel left on the bed. Toilet ran all night. Probably wanted to run out of there as well.

It was wonderful to relax on the Cape in a very clean hotel with our dog...

When you are loking for a hotel to stay, and watching picture of this hotel, you think; may be it's ok, looks very nice, my mystake din't see the rate or coments, at the moment when we did arrive. very different, may be they had to updated all the information to the future guests, because was very dessapointed for me and my family. It was no pleasure.

I knew we were in trouble when as we pulled up we saw a man on his knees pulling dust and filth out of a vacuum cleaner more than 30 years old. While they clearly vacuum daily and use strong chemicals to clean daily, it cannot cover up the smell of urine. The rugs are so old that you know no matter what it is filthy, especially with an old ineffective vacuum cleaner. The ONLY thing going for this place is location and price. I thought I was going to gag. Thank God it was only one night. never again. There is also what appears to be Section 8 housing/long term tenants there. Nothing wrong with that but it feels more like low-income housing than a hotel. And for the people who have to live there, I feel really really really bad.

Worst hotel ever it is so run down compared to anywhere else. Spend aome more money and go to a nicer hotel the breakfast is an absolute joke there is mini muffins in a small little room its disguating our room was dirty tv dint work stains on the sheets worst place ever

Dirty ,Wont stay again, checked in at 11pm rug was very dirty asked next morning if they could vacuum was not done. chair had candy all over it

Cool, old-school. Quaint. We had to wait half an hour for our room to be ready when we had a reservation so they knew we were coming way in advance. That was pretty annoying, especially in the evening when you are tired already. Bot otherwise it was good.

Room clean and nice, well maintained. Swipe key kept not working and had to be reconfigured at office regularly, that was pretty annoying but otherwise we were happy. Nice location too.

Okay for the price, I stayed here for one night. They advertise as they have complementary breakfast, but it is pathetic food arranged on tiny table. No place to sit and eat breakfast, you need to carry your breakfast to your room. Provide good wireless internet. Recommend if you are looking for cheap motel for one night.

UPON ARRIVAL THE CLERK DIDNT SEEM TO UNDERSTAND ME. LIKE HE DIDNT SPEAK ENGLISH. WHEN I GOT TO THE ROOM THE TV WAS BROKE, AND THERE WERE NO ASHTRAYS AS IT WAS A SMOKING ROOM. CALLED FRONT DESK TO INFORM THEM OF THE ABOVE. THE CLERK CAME TO THE ROOM AN ASKED MY HUSBAND TO MOVE THE TV FOR HIM TO ANOTHER ROOM. I ASKED AGAIN FOR THE ASHTRAYS I SAID COULD I HAVE TWO HE SAID I HAD TO COME TO THE DESK AND GET IT OR JUST WAIT UNTIL HE BECAME AVAILABLE AT 10:30PM ? HE SENT 1 ASHTRAY I ASKED FOR ANOTHER, THE CLERK ASKED HOW MANY I SAID 1 MORE, THE CLERK SAID THERE WERE NO MORE ?! SO, WHY ASK ME HOW MANY I WANTED ? THE CEILING AROUND ARE DUSTY, ROOM DOOR JAMS ARE FALLING APART, IT HAS BEEN PAINTED IN MAYBE 50 YRS. IF YOU JUST WANT SOME PLACE TO PUT YOUR THINGS AS IN STORAGE OK, BUT NOT A COMFORTABLE STAY. PRICE TOO HIGH FOR LOW QUALITY OF THE ROOM AND SERVICE.

I went for a road trip in New England states, the hotel is the ugliest & yet I paid more than the other hotel. My reservation is for 4 people, yet they charged me extra $10.00 per day per person for my 2 kids. I told them that I reserved for 4 people w/ Hotel.com, The desk guy said that Hotel,com does not know anything & if I want I can go somewhere else, it was eleven o clock at night, no choice I paid the extra $10.00. The only thing that I can say about this 1 star hotel is that it's near to everything, like restaurants, beaches & just a few minutes to Main Hyannis.

Rude staff, loud location, loud guests running around at 3 am...think of it as a trailer park with rude people.

Absolutely gross. After arriving we only stayed because we were going to lose our money. Should be shut down.

My husband and I stayed here for one night, the front desk clerk was very nice and very helpful in giving us tips as to where to eat and where to shop. The room was smoke free and it was very clean. We ended up leaving in the morning to go to New Hampshire and on our way back we decided to stay another night at the same place. I highly recommend this Motel. Two thumbs up for great customer service!

it is very nice hotel

went there for pool and hot tub to have a romantic weekend with my honey but when we went to use the hot tub it was out of order and the pool was freezing. we also had trouble with the doors sticking even when the green light was on....so getting in or out of the room was difficult and annoying. wont be back.

The room was clean, although the carpet felt a bit sticky, wear slippers. As far as the continental breakfast, skip it. It consisted of watered down coffee, some mini muffins and cereal. The microwave was absolutely disgusting! I don't think it has been cleaned in years. The thought of putting anything in there repulsed me. If you are looking for cheap and no frills, this will serve the purpose.

My rating "5" for kindness ,polite and friendly hotel staff.

We were very pleased and surprised by the quality of this hotel. For the price, we had lowered expectations. However, our room was clean and comfortable. The counters and fixtures in the bathroom were high quality. In addition, the staff were friendly, gracious, and helpful. The immediate surrounding area of the hotel was not great, but the location is very convenient. We would stay at this hotel again.

No problems - room was clean, water was hot, TV worked, AC worked, fridge worked, and they even let me trade for a groundfloor room for the same price I had paid, so I didn't have to climb stairs with my bad knees. The pool looked nice, though I did not get a chance to use it. The continental breakfast sounded fine, but I had to leave before they started serving. I would stay there again.

the continental breakfast was a joke. The coffee sucked. There was no 1/2 and 1/2 only milk. 1 kind of cereal and little cinnamon rolls. Yucky. The windows don't lock. The room is not clean. Cheaper is not better.

the room was not clean and needed repairs. There was a hole punched in the bathroom door and smaller holes in the walls. Carpet was worn and filthy. The blanket had cigarette burns in it. The tile in the bathroom was chipped in multile places and there was A LOT of mold on the shower curtain. I have stayed in some dives before, but this one was the worst ever. I would not recommend to a friend, nor would I stay here again. This should have a negative star rating.

Good Motel for the amount that we paid. The main room was ok. The bathroom was very old and not at all up dated.It was way to small and not in good shape. The people who worked at the Motel were very nice. I would recommanded it, but they need ti improved the room a lot.

faute de points de comparaisons difficile de le recommander.la propreté laisse à désirer,( odeur dans la chambre) le menage n'a pas été fait, le petit déjeuner est plus que sommaire mais l'accueil est agréable vraie volonté de faire plaisir au client et un des moins chers.
