Very nice hotel for a weekend stay. Clean rooms, friendly staff and convenient location to the interstate.

Great hotel with affordable price. Kids loved the indoor pool even while the effects of SANDY roared outside :-)

For some reason our GPS directed us off an exit about 6 miles south of the hotel. We followed this long back road that at times was paralel with rt.81 but it was dark and really in a desolate back road. We could not imagine that there would be a hotel back along this lonely road. Then 6 miles or so later we came up on this oasis of hotels, what a relief. We were very pleased with the hotel and the next morning noticed there was an exit right at that location, so we blamed the 6 mile backroad trip on our GPS. The bathroom was brand new very modern. We found the room clean and comfortable. We'd stay their again if the occassion arose.

Convenient location - close to I-81 just a few miles south of Christiansburg / Virginia Tech. Hotel is quiet and comfortable and the staff I encountered were outstanding and very helpful/friendly. Only downside was my non-smoking room was relatively close to the smoking rooms at the end of the hall, and there must have been some heavy smokers staying there because the smell was noticeable in the hallway - but not in my room, thankfully. Would absolutely stay again.

I stayed at this Hampton Inn for one night while attending the NASCAR race in Bristol, TN. I was allowed to check in early by the very professional and curteous staff. The room was better than I expected. Very comfortable and modern, including a mini-fridge -- an item that I have found to be very convenient but not always included. I would definitely stay again.

Just an overnight stop by. Ceiling stained from leak. Bathtub bottom not clean--otherwise fine.

Good experience overall. Hotel is adjacent to I 81 but not overwhelled with road noise. I did see much in the way of food options but it was a planned late night stop along the interstate. The staff were all very nice. The room had a stale smell that did clear up with running the AC and the faucet was loose in the bathroom. Overall I would return there if I had a need to be in the area.

Friendly staff. Clean, comfortable room. Decent breakfast. Small dining area, so tables filled up fast.

Clean and in good condition. Great location near to interstate but not too near to be noisy. 4 miles from Claytor Lake, and a lot less stressful that camping!

Hotel was clean and quiet. GPS does not give you the correct location when you put the address in. Needs to be corrected. Hotel was aware of this situation.

We prefer and choose to stay in Hampton Inn's. This one does not reach the bar. Room was very musty smelling and I would give the cleanliness a 7 out of 10. Breakfast was not as good as others we have stayed in. Also observed a guest complaining about kids running down the halls. Clerk advised the guest there was no quiet policy to her knowledge. Upon asking to speak to the manager the clerk was much more willing to try and solve the problem. Not to dump on the entire chain, but this one, this past weekend, was a bit short of expectations.

The room was very clean and quite comfortable. A good place for the rates, which were not really all that high. The one thing I didn't want was a cheap rate and have a cheap looking room. The Hampton Inn wasn't dirt cheap, which is why I chose it, although it wasn't very costly either. Simply great value for a very good price!

We stayed at this hotel, since it was the closest available. There were others closer to the University, but we did not want to pay an exorbitant amount or stay at a roach motel. So, we opted to stay at this hotel, and we were only about a half hour away from the stadium. Overall, we were pleased with all aspects of the hotel. We were on the first floor, and I was concerned it would have been noisy due to traffic up and down the hallway. It was quiet enough that we slept right through it, or maybe we were just that tired. There was a continental breakfast included with the stay, and it was plenty to satisfy our needs. Basic breakfast foods - fruits, muffins, cereal, yogurt, waffles, danishes, sausage, and french toast sticks. The second morning, I went down and had breakfast while I was waiting for my buddy to wake up. I was hungry and the food hit the spot that morning. So, I went down for a second full trip, after he finally got his lazy bum out of bed. I would personally stay at this specific hotel again, and I would recommend it to anyone who has business, vacation, or other travel plans in the New River Valley area of Virginia.

Great accomodation. Heated indoor pool was nice. Good exercise room (small w/typical equipment). Staff was friendly and responsive, though very "down home" casual, everything was as it should be. A bit hard to find the entry drive way, but easy to spot from the road. Nice "hot" continental breakfast.
