Cotton Exchange Hotel Downtown - ניו אורלינס

We arrived very late due to flight canceled but the desk clerk was great and helped us and made us feel welcomed. The breakfast was excellent and lots of choices. The elevator was a problem as only one was working .We enjoyed daisy dukes open 24 hrs. the food was great. The room was clean and maid service was done daily.The location was great and the rate was fair.

The staff is awesome! Very friendly and helpful. You can't beat the location! I will being staying there again when I go back to New Orleans!

Great hotel and location for the money.

Nice Hotel and a good price. Staff was nice and the room was comfortable. Bathroom is small and the hotel is older but is vert convenient to the French Quarter. I would stay her again.

We stayed in the hotel for a total of 4 days. The room is standard, nothing to speak of, bathroom quite small, clean.. Front desk staff are friendly and accomodating (except for one, it might also be cultural). I needed my boarding pass printed and staff cheerfully offered to do it in their computer. Housekeeping are meticulous about cleaning the room. Complimentary breakfast awesome with some healthy items - plenty, never ran out. Valet staff are respectful and prompt. How I wish their gym is bigger with more equipments like exercise for arms, legs. I don't mind staying there again.

Location was the best...2 blocks to Bourban Street. Hotel stay included a free continental breakfast which was just the right amount. Rooms clean and beds ok. Pillows were the worst ever. Little hard squares. Problem getting hot water fast...you had to run for awhile to get it. I would stay there again.

We didn't have any hot water issues, everything about the hotel was fine, not fancy, but met our needs. Breakfast was good, location was great. Only complaint is that the elevator was slow. For the price it was great.

Good value for the money, staff very friendly and helpful.

Hotel was clean. Had endless hot water for showers each day. Was walking distance to many downtown attractions. Will stay again.

I stayed at this hotel, with great trepidations after the abundance of negative reviews. Mind you, this is a DISCOUNT hotel; this means, "bare-bones". If you're searching for a clean, safe hotel, then stay here. If you want elaborate amenities, look elsewhere! You get what you pay for.

I recently stayed at the Cotton Exchange and had a wonderful visit. I read a lot of the reviews and was nervous about staying here, but I had no problems. The people at the desk were friendly and helpful if I needed directions. My room was clean, comfortable and I had hot water. Location was perfect for getting to Bourbon Street or Lafayette Park. I would definitely stay here again.

Microwave with huge dent - did not seem safe. No water pressure in shower. Sheets had holes. Bed not made but every other day. Towels threadbare and scratchy. Tiny CRT tevision. Furniture wobbly. By 'historic', I think they mean 'ancient and in poor repair'. Bellman and front desk staff were pleasant and helpful.

The room was not done the following day. Went down to say something and they said that it would be taken care of. Left for the afternoon, came back and still n ot cleaned. Went down again and they said that all the staff went home. Really disappointed

TOILET HAD A RING AROUND IT.HAD,NT BEEN CLEANED IN A WHILE.ROOMS WERE BOARDERLINE DIRTY.PARKING TERRIBLE.BELL MAN WOULD,NT ALLOW PARKING IN FRONT TO CHECK IN.

We came over for Jazz Fest and the Cotton Exchange was in a wonderful location, great atmosphere & will definitely stay again! Of course my boys loved the breakfast and rooftop pool!

The valet guy was a little rude, but everything else about the hotel was awesome. The continental breakfast was delicious! They didn't just have cold foods like cereal, et...They had waffles, sausage, bacon, eggs, and other choices. The location was VERY close to bourbon street! Would stay here again!

A plate of hamburgers in the microwave upon arrival, phone didn't work, sporadic hot water in shower,Dereck,the valet/bellman was wonderful,front desk ladies very unconcerned with complaints.Bed was clean and comfortable, rug not vaccummed.Location was perfect, close to everything, but too pricey for dirt.No amenities to speak of.

The hotel was neither the best nor the worst that was expected but centrally-located, between the quarters and convention center, and relatively inexpensive. The room was clean but not spotless and suffered cool water showers in the morning. A breakfast bar was included but minimally equipped and maintained, nourishing but no frills. While well-situated and reasonably priced, there are tradeoffs in service and quality.

There was plenty of hot water when we stayed here. I had read several reviews from the past about not having enough hot water. We got to breakfast about 30 minutes before it was scheduled to end and there was no food left. The swimming pool was about the size of a large closet. Staff was very nice and friendly.

This hotel is in a great location. You can easily walk to Bourbon Street and most of the other attractions in the French Quarter from it, and the trolley stops right outside so you can ride all the way down St. Charles if you want. The rooms aren't anything to write home about, standard hotel fare, and the service and amenities aren't great, but we didn't spend much time in our room anyway. I did appreciate the complimentary wifi though.

Pros: 1) bed comfy, 2 chairs & table made room. 2) Only a 2 block walk to the French Quarter. 3) Great breakfast: the usual muffins and pastries, fresh fruit, but also bacon or sausage, fruit, waffles, cereal, hard boiled eggs. PS. elevators worked fine. CONS: 1) In our 5th floor room there was no hot water 3 of our 5 days. It took over 10 minutes for water to get tepid. After 3 complaints to front desk the afternoon desk person sent a maintenance man up to the room and we had hot water for that night and the next morning. Then the 10 minute wait again, tho this time water finally got hot. 2) Carpets were vacuumed, but in dire need of cleaning. Bathroom very small. Tub was clean, but stained. 3) Trolley line goes by, and our room was pretty noisy. 4) Rate was twice the normal rate because of French Quarter Fest -

Hotels was great. Walking distance to Boubon, right on Street Car route if you want to hop down to the Garden District. Hotel was packed the weekend we stayed, but rooms were nice and quiet. Front desk had no personality but bellman was New Orleans knowledgable and very helpful.

if you are 18 years old or in a frat, this might be the place for you to stay, although I have no idea how you would be able to afford it.

The hotel is like any other standard "chain" hotel's decor & breakfast variety but the beauty of this place is it's location. If you're not trying to be in the middle of the Burbon Street experience & you would rather have something more tamed that is less expensive, this is the place for you. Just be careful on Canal Street (which is 1 block away) at night.

Loved this place...the staff is so attentive. The hotel has been renovated and it's so clean everywhere. You will be closed to the French Quater...just two blocks from Bourbon street

Room nice location perfect! Staff friendly. Price reasonable. Would stay there again!

convenient to French quarter, clean and reasonable good price for location.

Location was very good, Staff was very nice and helpful. Breakfast was excellent, when the food was actually available - run outs were frequent. However the mattresses should have been replaced in 1980 - both had ruts in the middle. You had to hang onto the edge to prevent rolling into the middle. Beware the Cable Cars if your room faces the street. They run from 6:15 AM to close to 12 MN and are very, very noisy. No business center to print airline tickets. Limited luggage storage space, but staff worked with us to accomodate 8 bags for our party of four. I won't be back.

I enjoyed the atmosphere of NO! A lot of music, great food, nice buildings. Hotel could be better maintained, but location paid for everything

Not a bad place to stay. Good location. Stains on carpets in the room. Beds sag in the middle. out of date TV's.
