Wonderful location with views over river towards Charles Bridge. Great hotel with beautiful natural finishes. Reasonable prices for food & drink around town although best to check menu first as you could be caught out, especially at the airport! Wonderful transport system. Took us 45 mins to get to hotel from airport using 119 bus followed by "A" line metro or no 20 tram. Buy transport ticket from airport bus information desk.

This was a lovely hotel that exceeded our expectations. The location was fantastic being just 200 metres from the Charles Bridge, yet the rooms were very quiet. The free wifi, good breakfast and very helpful staff also made our stay enjoyable. I would highly recommend this hotel.

We spent three nights at this hotel and it was great. The room was large, the bathroom was new and clean. The breakfast was good. The hotel is in a great location. I would stay here again. I went to several other countries on my vacation, and this hotel was the best out of all the ones I stayed.

This was a great hotel, friendly staff. Excellent location right off the Charles bridge. Everything tourist-ey was easily walkable. I would definitely stay here again. My only complaints was the breakfast wasn't good, but it was free so I can't really complain too much, the coffee came out of a machine. A stupid thing to complain about I know. Our room was on the first floor right by the lobby so at times it felt a little noisy but nothing too terrible. Other then those 2 small complaints everything else was excellent, clean, convenient, excellent helpful staff and really nice bathrooms.

Perfectly located at the foot of the Charles bridge in a cobbled courtyard on the river front. Staff were attentive and polite and our room was as requested on the top floor with a view over the tiled rooftops toward the bridge. The room itself had a wooden floor and beamed ceilings adding to the atmosphere The bathroom, although small with only a shower was immaculately clean with plenty of hot water. There were the usual soaps and body lotions, which came in small sachets, Breakfast was fresh and stocked constantly, the waitresses were very efficient, constantly cleaning tables and replenishing breads and pastries. There were hot options as well as a selection of cheeses. juice and coffee came from dispensers. Outside the hotel, there were a few lovely restaurants, cafes and unique shops selling a range of souvinirs and crafts from Prague. I cannot wait to return to Prague and would love to stay at this hotel again. Highly recommended, and much more unique than many other 4* hotels I have stayed at.

Really nothing but positive to say about the hotel and location. Breakfast was a 8-9/10, but everything else was a 10. Would absolutely not hesitate to recommend this hotel

The hotel is situated on the riverbank next to Charles Bridge, entered from a small cobbled tree lined square. A small hotel with rooms facing either the river or the square. There is a small licensed restaurant with vaulted ceiling, for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There are no other communal rooms in the winter, but if the weather is nice, there is an outside area. Breakfast was included and had everything needed for a long day of walking around beautiful Prague. Its essential to take good walking shoes as the entire city is cobbled. Sadly for us, the stay was marred by major building works at the hotel the entire 3 day visit. Walls were being removed, so we had to endure jigger picks, drilling and hammering all day, every day. Not much chance of a nap after lunch! No apology was made. We also ate dinner 2 nights running at the hotel, but the waiter used a calculator to add to the bill. As he mumbled something about tax, we presumed it was the 21% tax, but in fact, he added 10% service charge to the paper receipt for himself. Without realizing, we then gave him a 10% tip on top too. Foodwise, if the menu describes it as pork nuckle with mustard, that is what comes. No garnish, vegetables, sauce etc. Whatever is shown on the menu is the meal that will arrive. Anything extra should be ordered on top. Its an absolutely beautiful city with many jazz and blues clubs. Plan to do a lot of walking!!!

It was awsome, hotel facilities, not fancy at all; but very nice, very clean and wonderful service. Location can be better, close to the turistic places, walking distance to anywere we went, and we walk a lot.

Stayed in late Nov 2012. Excellent location. Just on Kampa Island, which is near the Charles Bridge. Quieter side of town, which is perfect away from crazy tourist crowds in the city centre. Hotel service was great (hotel has 24hr reception). Sheets clean, overall room and bathroom were very clean. My only gripe was that I spotted hair strands on my pillow when I checked-in, so i don't know if the pillow case was washed or not. Toilet rolls were not replaced on the second day, but we just rang reception and within 5 mins, housekeeping provided them. We ate at the hotel restaurant and while the food was good, it is pricey and it took 25 mins before the food was served. The waiter was grumpy also, but we figured he was having a bad day, but the other waitresses were very polite and provided great service. Buffet breakfast that came provided with room booking was quite a nice spread (cold cuts, cheeses, bread, yoghurt, fruits, coffee etc.), it was pretty normal but inconsistent on the quality of food especially the scrambled eggs (good on the first day, runny on the second & third days). Overall though, I would stay here again as it is simply lovely hotel and I can overlook the minor stuff.

I have eaten at their restaurant many times but this was the first time I stayed in the hotel part. The room was spacious and well equipped location good. What could have been better is the breakfast and the night porter. He did not smile once and we had much difficulty in finding their car park which on foot is just around the corner but effectively you need to drive quite a detour to get there. You also need to pay 19 Euro at a other hotel before parking up. So aside these minor problems everything was good and I would stay here again for the price!

Great location, right next to the Chain Bridge, not far from the metro station. Reasonable price. Our best breakfast with wide selections is included. Good wireless internet in the room. Has refrig, coffee pot etc. Except that the bed is a bit too hard.

Could have been better. The room heating was not working very well so we had to get in extra heating as it was very cold. The staff was not very helpful.

Not too big, not too small. A lovely hotel in a great location and friendly staff.

I stayed at the hotel white away for work. I loved the location - very central and convenient. Just off the bridge too so not crowded at all. Loved that. The hotel is beautiful and really well kept with attention to details. What i was really unhappy about is that --as all places in prague-- this hotel was for smokers and not smokers. This meant that at the reception and the cafe, people were smoking. Also, rooms are for smokers and non-smokers and smoke would get into the air con and it would smell of smoke even in non smoking rooms. Really annoying. If the hotel is to charge as much as they do, I think they need to work a bit on their breakfast especially in adding to it fresh juices, fresh coffee and latte or espresso and some more greater variety of fruits and muesli. Just a though.

The hotel is tucked what looks like a private village and the top floor rooms have a view over the river that is amazing. The staff at the hotel couldn't have been better....best service I've had in Europe.

We would thoroughly recommend the Archibold, our room had a fantastic view over the Charles Bridge and river and was very comfortable. As a base for visiting the sites of Prague we think this hotel would be hard to beat - great location, friendly staff, beautiful rooms and breakfast could not be faulted. All in all a fantastic stay and if we visit Prague again we would definately rebook at the Archibold.

Wonderful hotel - great location close to everything but very quiet. Staff was great! Room VERY comfortable - breakfast great. Edward was especially helpful with work calls from the states!

Spent three nights at the hotel along with my mum and sister - we had an excellent visit from start to finish. The staff could not have been more welcoming and the room we were given,no 25, was wonderful with a lovely dining area and lounge area which was completely unexpected! A slight complaint was the lack of any english channels on the tv but this is a small point. Breakfast had a good choice resulting in my mum and sister eating cakes galore ! A brilliant stay and we would all stay again.

First, I love Prague! This time I stayed at the Archibald at the Charles Bridge (careful, there is another Archibald hotel). I had a view of the Bridge from my room. It was one of the best European hotel rooms I've stayed in. The staff was charming and knowledgeable, the included breakfast buffet was delightful, and the location couldn't have been better. Note - there is no elevator, so if you have physical limitations request a room on the 1st floor. I definitely plan go return to Prague and I will stay at this hotel again.

WC too small

The hotel is wonderfully situated adjacent to the major attractions of the city. The hotel is very well maintained and the staff are courteous and friendly. Our only issue for our stay in early September was the absence of air conditioning which would be a real source of discomfort if the weather is good as the room temp will gnerally exceed the outside temperature by a significant amount.

This is one of the nicest hotels I've been to. Its perfectly located at the end of the Charles Bridge ( a footbridge, therefore no noise) on the Lesser Town side. Old town is on the other side of the bridge - a 5 minute walk. Our rooms were spacious and overlooked the Moldau River and Old Town on the opposite bank - beautiful views. The staff are wonderful - professional, knowledgeable and experienced.

Perfect location to see the sites of Prague. The hotel is located at the river with easy access to the Charles Bridge and an easy walk to either side. The hotel was very nice, staff helpful and the breakfast plentiful. A great choice for a first visit to a great city.

The staff was extremely friendly and English-speaking which was helpful. The free breakfast had a lot of options. The hotel is in the perfect location. It's right at the bottom of Charles Bridge - just a quick walk over to Old Town and Josefov and only about 15 minute walk up to The Castle. The street is quiet but full of little restaurants - or you can sit right on the river bank in the beer garden or river seating and enjoy dinner from the hotel restaurant. This is perfect if you want a quaint place to stay that is still very close to all the sights.

The location of the hotel was superb: in a quiet area right below the Charles Bridge. The hotel had a very good restaurant where you could view the bridge and the boats on the Moldau while having dinner. The day clerk was proactive, anticipated your needs and made suggestions. The hotel was air-conditioned, which is not always the case in Europe. There was a nice park nearby to walk my pug. This was a very good stay.

We loved the Archibald at Charles Bridge . Our room was on the top floor and was huge! It was very comfortable and clean and the staff was very accomodating and friendly. The location of the hotel is within walking distance of the main sites in Prague, yet it was very quiet. There is a wonderful restaurant onsite that looks like it was once a wine cellar. We will definitely return here.

Hotellet motsvarar förväntningarna till fullo. Läget är kanon, med ett litet torg på framsidan där man har lite försäljning av vin, korv och äta-på-platsen mat. Hotellet har en mysig liten innergård där man lätt tar sig till den spartanska serveringen mot floden. Frukosten är bra, med bacon, stekta ägg, varm korv, äggröra mm. Att det är ca 100 meter till Karlsbron gör det inte sämre. Vi gillade området Mala Strana mycket, och det är nära även till Stare Mesto, Nove Mesto och Josefov.

Hotel in general was OK but not more. Location is very good right at the Charles Bridge with a very nice view if you get a room facing the river.

Hotellet var en av anledningarna att vi gillade Prag. Det ligger på en lugn återvändsgata utan trafik men bara ett stenkast från Karlsbron. Personalen är mycket trevlig och hjälpsam och alla kan bra engelska. Frukostbuff´en som ingår i priset var ganska generös med ett urval av bröd, frukt, flingor, yoghurtar och mjölk, juicer och diverse tillbehör som kunde variera från dag till dag. Rummen är stora och har kvar lite karaktär även då allt är nyrenoverat, rent och fräscht. Jag skulle rekommendera hotellet till vem som helst som vill ha en bra vistelse i Prag.

It's located in one of the most romantic squeare of Praga. clean and near to the city center

Hade tur och fick ett litet dubbeltrum på vindsvåningen. Allt fungerade bra och det var tyst. Stolarna på rummet låga, men fick en högre när jag talade om mitt önskemål. Läslampor ovanför sängen saknades och det var inte heller möjligt att se på tv liggandes på sängen. Frukostbuffé ok men menyn på kvällarna kunde vara mera internationell, rekommenderar inte deras middagar (Obs. I Prag "grillad" på flera restauranger på engelska blev nog "stekt på pannan" för oss nordbor). Hotellets läge utmärkt och kort promenad till spårvagnshållplatsen. Spårvagnar går till affärsgator och till den riktiga "staden".

O Hotel é excelente, os quartos, o serviço, o restaurante, a localização é o ponto alto em baixo da Ponte Carlos, com os barcos passando na janela de seu quarto, a única ressalva e quanto a qualidade da cortina blackout que permitia a entrada de grande quantidade de luz.

Door de centrale ligging is alles op loopafstand. Beter kun je het niet treffen. Het hotel was net gerenoveerd, dus kamer en de andere ruimtes zagen er perfect uit. Bijzonder aardige receptionist, vriendelijke bediening in het restaurant, waar je ook goed kunt eten. Zeker een aanrader.

Vi var SÅ positivt overrasket over Achibald at the Charles Brigde Hotel. Hotellet har en fuldstændig formiddabel placering lige ved siden af Charles Brigde på "den stille" side af broen, hvilket betyder at hver gang man skal over til byen går på den udsøgt smukke gamle Charles Brigde og efter 5-10 min gågang står midt på gågaden tæt på the Old town Square. Kvareret hvor hotellet ligger er hyggeligt og der er masser af restauranter og cafeer og fordi det ligger så centralt er man i gå afstand til alle de store seværdigheder. Selve hotellet er ualmindeligt hyggeligt og servicen er fantastisk!

Nos encanto haber llegado a este hotel, queda en medio de todo.

Vi var veldig fornøyd. Beliggenhet og pris var veldig bra. Vi hadde kun tre dager og da er det viktig å bo sentralt. Praha var en fin by med hyggelige folk og god service uansett hvor vi var. Hotellet var rent og fint, frokosten var delikat og god.

Hotelli sijaitsi todella hienolla paikalla Kaarlen sillan aivan välittömässä läheisyydessä. Henkilökunnan palvelutaso oli huippuluokkaa ja asenne erittäin ammattimainen sekä ystävällinen. Aamiainen oli myös oikein kattava. Hotellia voi lämpimästi suositella niin loma- kuin työmatkalaisille.

Bien situé sur une petite île calme juste à côté du Pont Charles, bien chauffé en hiver. Excellent petit déjeuner, restaurant que je n'ai pas essayé mais qui semblait très bon. La chambre 1 (et sans doute d'autres) a une belle vue sur la Vltava et le pont.
