You know the saying...but this time what you get is worth more than the bargain price you pay to stay there. If what you want is a simple stay at a safe, convenient location, this hotel is a bargain. No frills, but nothing bad either.

Good price. Good location. Typical two star motel.

the place is old but the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. the staff was friendly. the coffee is really good.close to the opry and opry mills mall. not really walking distance though.

they were more worried about answering the phone than taking care of the customer in front of them. Very rude staff

After staying at the Gaylord for 3 days for a chess tournament, I gave my wallet a break and switched to the Fidler's Inn for one night at half the price. The cab ride between the two properties is less than $5, and the adjacent Cracker Barrel Restaurant had excellent food at very reasonable prices. The hotel is somewhat worn and certainly not upscale, reminding me of 1970s motels, but it was clean and the staff efficient and helpful. The phone in my room didn't work, and they replaced it within 20 minutes at 10 p.m. The bed was comfortable and I had no problem with noise, but that could probably be a problem at times. I will stay here again.

Just what we anticipated. The hotel was the cheapest and most convenient in the area. Very clean but needs maintenence work. Some of our trim was coming off the interior doors and the shower was clean but not working well the first night. The bed, again was clean, but missing the trim around the bottom so it looked as though it was held up with 2 x 6's. Not very "pretty" but certainly in the BEST location! And you get what you pay for. Friendly staff, friendly room cleaning staff as well. Walking distance to most of the area attractions (downtown Nashville is a 5 min drive) Tour buses leave directly from this hotel and many restaurant/ bars/ museums steps from your door. Would definitley stay again, you cant be the price!

The sheets were blood stained but hotel service was prompt in changing them at phone call request. There was no microwave or refrigerator in the room, which comes faily standard at most hotels. That was a huge disappointment. The tub/shower was clean and the water pressure and temperature was excellent. On the morning of leaving, while using the hair dryer, a breaker was thrown, causing all plug ins to not work on one side of room. At check out, it still hadn't been fixed.

It was a room. That's about all I can say. Needed new carpet and a good scrubbing. Not the cleanest place to stay at.

really enjoyed it. We went to the Grand Ole Opry. The hotel drove a van and took us to the show and came back afterward and drove us back to the hotel. Every one we came in contact with were great.The only thing , the shower was not the greatest, but it was a big hotel and lots of people bathing at the same time I am sure. We would stay there again if we go back to Nashville . It was close to several attractions and resturants.

I was there last weekend with some friends. Although we would have preferred to stay downtown, but NCAA was in town and nothing avaible. We booked at Fiddler's Inn and were pleasantly surprised. Although a little outdate, it was comfortable and staff was very pleasant. We had access to multiple dining choices within walking distance. The shuttle to downtown was available every hour. They could bump it up a notch on the continental breakfast. I would definitely stay there again.

The hotel is located across from the Grand Ole Opry and in the same parking lot as the Texas Troubador Theatre and other interesting places. The hotel is pretty run down: our floor wasnt level and the ceiling looked like it was falling apart but it was clean and a decent price for what you get. We were able to walk to a couple different restaurants (The Nashville Palace and Caney Fork are 2 we ate at and were very good!) If you weigh the pros and cons it is a good place to stay if you dont plan to spend the day in your hotel room and just want a place to shower and sleep. We would stay again!

Hot water came and went, dated interior. Too good a location to not be invested in.

The front of the a/c unit in the bedroom was falling off... And also the shower was horrible it constantly went from cold to hot.... Wouldn't recommend staying there even if you plan on doing nothing but sleeping.....

Booked for 2 days but didnt even stay 1! The hotel is like a 20-30 min drive from downtown via the expressway. The attractions nearby are nothing spactacular. The wax museum closed a few years ago! Arrived at hotel to drop of belongings before heading tI downtown area, room is not close to what is pictured! Very outdated! Can barely close the bathroom door when having to use the toilet because the room is too small....came back from downtown then went to leave again but the door would not lock! Was told the maintenance wouldnt be in until 8am the next day. At first they didnt offer to move us, but after we asked to cancel and packed up our stuff, they offered to....the phone in the room didnt work so I had to use my phone to call and have someone even come and look at the door! It appears as if they also rent out rooms for people to live in...the room next to ours had a senior citizen living it! The man was polite but I felt sooo bad for him having to spend his golden years living in a hotel! Overall, not the worst hotel I've been deceived by online....the room was clean! Other issues are what ruined the stay....

There was water standing in bathtub and they said they would send someone and they never did. We all woke up around four in morning coughing and sneezing. When we checked out, I complained about the bathtub and the front desk woman argued with me that this was a new room and there was no way the bathtub had water standing in it. I was completely unsatisified and will never stay there again. After about two hours of leaving all of us stopped coughing and sneezing. It had to be something in the room.

Suitable for an inexpensive stay. Older facility but clean. Within walking distance of my convention at the Opryland Hotel. Good eating places just steps away.

It was your typical Motel 6 type hotel. Some minor cons, shower had very little pressure and was either too hot or too cold, there was no happy medium, and the coffee pot was broke, we did tell front desk but they didnt replace it. But other than that, it was fine for the price and the location for Opry Land, a huge Pro was they did have a shuttle for downtown Nashville, $10 RT and it ran from 11am-2:30am.

Really happy with our room, clean & close to all the things we were interested in. Very nice employees!

We enjoyed our stay. The place is a little dated but very clean and quiet.

The motel was exactly what we expected. The motel was very convenient to the Grand Ol Opry and had lots of close by shopping and dining options. It was a cheap room in comparison to others in the area we wanted to stay so like I said we got what we paid for. Desk clerk was very helpful. As for nearby dining optons, it sits literally right next door to Cracker Barrel and another restaurant that had good reviews (something fork?...sorry I can't remember the name), just down the street from McDonalds and dining at the Opryland Inn; there were also a couple of bars with live entertainment and ok food right there in walking distance.

Stayed one night and went to the grand ole opry - great location nothing spectacular about the hotel. Service wasn't great at check in- slow. Not great not bad - good for price.

Love the location of this hotel. The rooms are clean and relatively comfortable, but need updating. We stay here after late night Packer playoff games, and will stay here in the future. Hotel has reasonable prices, but needs up dating and a better continental breakfast. overall we are satisfied staying here.

Location worked - you'd think the staff would have been a bit friendlier to maybe compensate for the place being such a dive - but, nope....

my room was next to the breakfast room, so there was a lot of noise starting very early in the morning. sleeping in wasn't much of an option. but it's close to the opryland, and it certainly beats their nightly rate. it was a place to keep my stuff, sleep - and for that it served its purpose.

Been there in last resort, never again. We've spend 1 week in Tennessee. That was from far the worst of all hotel that we've stayed in! Room was a return in the 70... In my parents's room, the bathtub had two holes... yes, 2 holes. We don't know if water was leaking but anyway... That place really need to be freshen up. The comfort was very basic. The walls were so "thin" that we could hear everything that was going on outside. I don't even want to think about what it would be in cold weather. ...I almost forgot, that was also the only place where we didn't get the free breakfast... The place, not that well located in an old room, was to small and when we arrived, almost everything was empty! So we've just turned back and went to eat in town. My advise, drive a bit further and go somewhere else! 10 to 15 minutes of driving will be the best thing for a good night!

Good for a one night stay on the road.

The ironing board was broken. The hot water was sporadic at best, the room smelled dingy, the bath mat was moldy, there was no fridge or microwave, the pillows were thin, the front desk assigned my room to somebody else and that resulted in somebody trying to enter my room quite forcefully and yelling at me through the locked door. When the front desk called to fix the issue, they were not apologetic or courteous, and instead were curt and vague. Also, because the doors open to the outside, I was awoken by neighborhood sounds including drunken yelling, loud cars, and door slamming. I have never had a worse hotel experience. If you are staying here because your conference at the Gaylord is out of rooms... skip the conference.

this was the most convinently located place to stay. I needed to attend a conference at the Gaylord convetion and resort center. This was walking distance from the convention, and walking distance from variety of entertaiments, heart of music, suvenier shops and good food. You do not need a car if stay here, get a lemo or cab to and from the airport you are all set. The best transportation deal is the shuttle for the Gaylord resort which is $20 each way but it comes on the every 30 minutes. You can get a cab for $25.00 as well.

Adequate for our needs, clean, handy and quiet

The hotel was what you paid for. It had a motel feel with the doors on the outside of the room and was not of the highest quality. It wasn't anything nice or special and breakfast wasn't great, but it was clean and what we expected.

OUR STAY WAS GREAT..THE STUFF WERE VERY HELPFUL..THE TOUR WE TOOK..TOMMY WAS GREAT.WILL STAY HERE AGAIN AND RECOMMEND TO OTHERS.

On whole...Nashville was a wonderful experience. The Fiddlers Inn, added to this....a great experience on a tight budget.
