This place was clean, good sized rooms, great location. Close to seaworld and 5 mins from the beach! Cocos a walk away from your door step and a gas station less than half. Mile away

We really enjoyed this place. If headed to San Diego area again, would most likely book here!

Found this hotel to be excellent for the price. It had all the basic neceseties we were looking for. Clean, comfortable bed, coffee pot, microwave, and mini firdge. We were there for two nights, and tried the continental breakfast which was so so. Ate out the next day, but other than that, a very good deal and we will be happy to return anytime we need to.

I originally picked this hotel because it was close to the border, was a brand I trusted (Best Western) and came highly recommended based on the reviews. I couldn't be more pleased with my stay. My room was comfortable and spacious. There was a little sitting area by the door with a loveseat and coffee table, then the bed and a very small area for a sink, microwave, and minifridge, then behind that was the bathroom and some closet space/storage. The facility has a pool but I didn't have a chance to try it out. Free wi-fi is available but I couldn't figure out how to get it on my phone. Parking is free as well. It is a very short drive to some parking lots near the border and San Diego tram service. There are fast food restaurants nearby (McDonalds, Carl's Jr) and a Spanish supermarket called Neighbors which is very well stocked. Probably every bank you can name has an ATM within driving distance. The neighborhood itself isn't very exciting but if you came to San Ysidro as a jumping-off point for Tijuana as I did, you probably won't mind.

Really clean and comfortable.

Liked the bed and slept good. Carpet where fridge was wet and the hand cleaner body wash dispenser was well....

Our rooms were very large, spotless and up to date. The breakfast was great. Everything was more than I was expecting. A stones throw from the border if you are interested. However, right on I-5, it is convenient to San Diego too.

Would stay there again - probably one of the best value hotels in the area.

Overall it was a good hotel with poor guest service" we will call you back" two hours later, the phone rings. The pool hours were posted, but they waited till 15mins before scheduled checkout time to finally open it and this was a Friday morning. Not a good way to start a weekend for guests who only stayed for the chance to be in a pool. The kids were going and asking after each amount of time had passed since the employees told them it would be open 30mins to an hour, now an hour, again 30 mins to an hour. Not happy children. And the staff would not give me to the manager, he was busy till Monday and she said " I could call back then" HA when I would be 500 miles away.

Pool had too much chlorine. But apart from that everything about this hotel was good. Staff was particularly friendly.

The room was nice and clean. Flat screen, fridge and microwave made it an A++

Enjoyed the stay. Very clean. Good location for my needs. Love the Cocos Restaurant next door. Also convenient gas station.

We arrived around 11:00 pm, so we couldn’t go inside the lobby. We had to check in at the window outside. It did not take long and the receptionist was fast and friendly. There were 5 of us in 2 rooms, and we booked for 2 nights, but we just slept one night and took off the next day in the evening. The rooms were clean and did not have a good or bad smell. The carpets look kind of old, but they were clean. The trash bens did not have any plastic bags on them, but we really did not use the trash. The restrooms were clean and descent size. The TV was a flat screen hanging on the wall, which was good because it gave us more room to put things on the dresser. One thing special about this hotel is that they have a shuttle that takes you to TJ Mexico to most clinics and they pick you up as well. However, you have to call the hotel directly to see if they have any space available before you book. On the way back from TJ, we did not wait in the long lines with the other cars entering the US. We did not even wait in the lines where the people walk in to the US as well. We had our own “special line” and it only took us 15 minutes to enter the US. Over all, it was a good experience.

I had a freat time, and was so happy the Jacuzzi and pool was heated with many nice people surrounding, including hotel staff!

For this price all is perfect.

Had business across the border. Stayed for six days. Nothing fancy but clean & quiet. Np problems at all. Second time I've stayed there. Border just two miles down the same road. Convenient. Will use again.

Front desk clerk was very friendly and helpful. Room was nice and clean. Unfortunately, the connecting door to the adjacent room was thin and the person next door was noisy and at 4 AM had an argument that woke me up. Apparently, the hotel does not attract the most courteous clientele. Other than that, the hotel was convenient, since it was close to the 5 Freeway, making it quick to get to the Mexican border. And it was very close to an Arco, which was good, because I wanted to get gas before going over the border.

It would have been nice to have been told about the mexican clinic service, regarding the availability of the hotel transportation to and from the clinics in mexico. If its the booking co.'s responsibility to notify when reservations are being made for the hotel they did a poor job. I would seriously consider other accomodations on this reason alone. I know the hotel is not to blame, but the offer of $40.00 to and from the border by the hotel is more than excessive, especially when you could take a cab for about $10.00, or the bus for $2.25

Fair price. Clean room with comfortable bed. Location is convenient. Right off the 5 freeway. Coco's and Carl's jr are on property. Only problem I had was my laptop couldn't pick up the wifi.

It is a good hotel to stay if you are going shopping with family and kids to the outlet center. I just think is a little too expensive since it seems as a motel.

Everything was OK. The only thing that sticks out like a sore thumb, is the shower's water temperature. Between my wife and I, we showered 4 times (when we arrived and right before check out time) All four times, the water was warm -- not hot--, but, then all of the sudden the water would come out cold. When we notified the frond desk, they were pleasant and told us that they would look into it. Other than that, the value is not good -- not bad!!!!!!!!!

This was the worst hotel in the grittiest area of town we haveever stayed in. The walls are so thin you can hear everything going on. We had one night where people had a party in their room from 10pm-12:30 with kids running up and down the hotel property and people laughing, smoking and talking. We called the front desk at least 5 times, but they could not be bothered to do anything. The breakfast roomi s so packed we did not get a seat on any of our 4 days so had to eat it in our room. Our kids refused to eat it so we had to go to the local store to buy them decent fruit and juice. The nieghborhood is like being in the ghetto, with the state prison in close proximity to the hotel. Will never stay this far south again. Not convenient to the zoo or Sea World, spend the gas $ on a decent hotel closer in town.

My stay was fine. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. One towel had a hole in it and the other was stained. The free breakfast was a nice feature. Although it was out of the way, its proximity to the interstate was great so it's fine if you have a car, but not if you don't.

Very clean, fast chrck-in and clean room.
