Great veiws and well located fror a visit to Wexford Town and county. A nice hotel for a vacation. Food is Ok and rooms comfortable. Most noticable is the warm welcome and frendly staff

we had a lovely weekend. Family room was good - enough space for the 4 of us. Breakfast was good. Dinner slightly less so - somewhat overcooked. The room charge of Euro 12 for a glass of wine and a cup of tea was a surprise. I think this should be advised when placing the order. The gym and swimming pool facilities are terrific -we had a great swim on our last day.

The hotel is fantastic! Great service and a lovely location, very romantic. The only thing I can suggest is for the hotel to have either a little more supply or a hotel shop as its not very convenient if you don't have a car to travel into the town.

The hotel was very comfortable and well situated.

I liked the hotel and would stay there again. Small things were a bit annoying, the Irish tv stations were not available on my tv or on my friends, which was weird because lots of others were. The wifi was unreliable. Teh place is slightly worn, but very comfortable. The level of service is very good and friendly without being too much. Views are lovely, certainly from my room. Some others in our group liked theirs less so it is worth stressing it in the booking if you want a nice view. Very family friendly and lots of kids about !

Very busy over Easter weekend. Great pool and children activities. Food ok, nothing special. Service very good overall with special mention to Lucask who made our family dining experience all the better.

Found staff very courteous: price very reasonable. Will return.

Staff was extremely helpful. The food was absolutely amazing. The location of the hotel is inconvenient but the pleasantness of the stay made up for that.

The hotel generally had the feeling of faded grandeur .. once you leave the reception everything just felt faded and old fashioned ( cite the purple splodgy corridor carpet and artificial flowers as an example). Breakfast was very average (how can one make such poor scramnbled egg?). Definitely not a 4 star hotel and not worth the money we paid.

I've never seen a hotel with as 'friendly' a hotel policy - which is obviously great if you have young ones and are happy for them to stay in the bar with you to late at night - possibly not so great for those of us that are interested into listening to the commentary on the match and not having noisy kids everywhere - and I am talking about 8 / 9 pm at night ! Of course there are restaurant choices to choose from, however it would be great if they could cater for the sports nut a little better ! They do have a separate eating area for adults, however there's no TV in there - not is there any Sky Sports in the bedrooms which is strange. WiFi is free but the signal is poor in the bedrooms as I was trying to access my SkyGo account. Breakfast is very nice however it didn't open til 8am, which is very late as the only reason we were staying there was to make the 9.30am ferry ! Also the gym (which is very good) didn't open until 9am - so much for getting a morning workout in - perhaps this was reflective of the holiday period and reduced staff etc.,

Hotel could do with an upgrade. Room and furnishings a bit dated. Bathroom, Tv and phone need upgrading. Internet access extremely poor in all areas and would be a reason why we might not stay there again. Otherwise, very friendly and nice atmosphere in general. Beautiful location and wonderful views.

Enjoyed it and will definitely return - staff were best part of the experience.. Amenties excellent and location perfect for attending Opera in Wexford. Hotel a little dated however that was more than compensated by the friendliness and efficiency of the staff.

Seriously great staff - they could teach many a hotel how to make a weary traveller feel almost at home. Dinner five star, bar food great ( breakfast has massively disimproved and is now very diappointing, skip the Irish fry as it was made the night or week before) great, view and location brilliant and inspiring, room in which I could have brought the family but the staff here have always and most especially this time made Ferrycarrig my future choice in Wexford.

I am somewhat immobile,therefore, the layout of the hotel, lifts, floors etc, did not suit me. Distances from reception to Bedroom, Bar, Restuarant etc, were excessive.

In general all quite good, Cathy on front desk was quite helpful - some of the other receptionists could work on their people skills. Check in time of 4 pm is a joke however

Arrived for a wedding had to change in leisure centre as room wasn't ready before church, could not cheque into room until 4.30 which was unacceptable

Very scenic location, more a family hotel than for couples. Bit pricey for food and drink, which unfortunately seems to be the case for lots of hotels in Ireland. Staff very friendly.

I stayed in thw Ferrycarrig with my two sisters. We had a really lovely stay, relaxing, comfortable and luxurious in a laid back way. Staff were very friendly and helpful but never intrusive. The locality has lots to offer by way of interesting sights and walks, and Wexford town is not too far away, only a ten minute drive. The food was great and we enjoyed the music on Saturday night. We will definitely be back!!

Second time staying in this hotel. Really like it. Most of the staff are really helpful and friendly. Rooms overlooking the river have a really lovely view and if you get a room with a balcony its an extra bonus. It's a bit outside of Wexford town so you really need a car I would think. Check-in was very late though, 5pm before our room was ready. We were attending a friend's wedding and I have to say that I was really impressed with the service and catering for this. Service was very efficient and the food was really good and plentiful. Very impressed indeed. I would definitely stay here again.

Appalling. On arrival there was an overpowering stench of gas in the car park so we had to park in the upper carpark which allowed buses to collect Wexford hurley teams who played hurley in the carpark whilst waiting for collection. They almost hit our vehicle twice and when asked to stop , would not do so. Taking a walk in the grounds we were engulfed by thick white smoke which came from their wood burner and had to retreat inside the hotel as our eyes were affected by the smoke. A card inside the room warned the client that a 100 or 150 euro charge would be made if smoke was detected in the room ! which was a bit of an insult as although we are non-smokers it was their smoke which affected us. The iron was burnt black and the ironing board cover in tatters and a replacement was promised but not sent. We had booked a 3 day stay to unwind and relax but found this hotel totally unsatisfactory. On departure the duty manager was not available to take our complaint. I would not reccommend this hotel to anyone.

The room was very nice , with a great view and a good size balcony. The pool was excellent. Breakfast was good except for the hot food buffet was more like a staff canteen. At the rate we paid I would expect the hot food to be served to the table. Would stay again if I could secure a competitive rate.

Not for couples, this is a 'family friendly hotel'. Serious noise issues as walls are paper thin & we could hear our neighbours in their bathrooms & traipsing through the corridors all night long. Choose somewhere else if you are looking for a bit of peace.

It was perfect. We have a small child and we felt comfortable with her throughout the hotel. The little playground outside was great and the pool area was above average. The extra touch of the balloon tied to the door for Lauren on departure was really lovely and it pleased her so much., We will be back.

While the hotel itself is fine, well kept, etc. the profile seems to have changed considerably. Basically this hotel is not geared up for the business user, it is for families, with young kids, etc. And this is fair enough. One thing which really annoyed me. You had the option of eating in a restaurant which was for adults only. Basically you were placed in a souless room, with a more expensive menu and a very irritating piano player who played loudly and relentlessy for the duration of your meal.

We stayed at the Ferrycarrig the night before catching the Rosslare Fishguard ferry. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was supposed to be a superior room but was a bit shabby and had those awful soap and body lotion dispensers filled with cheap toiletries, that are screwed to the wall as if the management don't trust you not to steal them. Much better would have been small disposable bottles of some decent shampoo etc. We had a lovely view from our room over the river and a nice sized balcony with 2 chairs and a table. Unfortunately for us, the hotel had a wedding party that evening and when we went to the restaurant to get an evening meal, were told that they were really busy and couldn't fit us in until about 9.30. (it was then about 7pm) After a bit of complaining they suddenly were able to find a table a lot sooner but we were a bit put off by then and decided to go into Wexford for something to eat and found a lovely restaurant called the Thomas Moore Tavern where we had a wonderful meal served by extremely helpful and friendly staff. The main reason we chose the hotel was its setting and convenience to Rosslare but our experience was not great. I would not class the Ferrycarrig as a 4 star hotel and I doubt whether we'll return.

Considering that we had to travel at short notice to arrange and attend a family funeral, we found the hotel was an oasis for us to escape for a while from the sadness of our trip.

Stayed 2 nights for business and found the hotel to be clean, comfortable and friendly in spite of the somewhat laidback attitude of the restaurant staff. The view of the river from the room, bar and restaurant is fantastic, a real treat for twitchers. The only disappointment was the desserts in the restaurant, you should never, ever put pastry in a microwave there’s nothing worse than soggy pastry at the end of a good meal.

This hotel is suitable for family breaks, great leisure centre, bar, restaurant & kids club. Very close to Heitage park

From the moment we stepped in the door we knew we had chosen right as the staff from front of house to those in passing on corridors always had a smile and cheerful greeting. Food was great and reasonably priced. Could not fault anything except the weather.

Spent easter weekend here ideal for families with kids hotel seem to put a lot of work into it. They also had adult only floor, pool times and area in restaurant for guests without kids. Enjoyable stay.

Hotellet har en hyggelig betjening. Store, pene og rene rom. Men det ligger litt avsides, må ha bil for og komme inn til Wexford. En del små barn på hotellet som ble tatt med inn i baren på kvelden med en noe gråt / støy.
