Aston at Papakea Resort - האי מאווי

We got upgraded from a studio to a one bedroom, which was nice. The room was clean. Only thing is the air conditioner was in the living room and the bedroom was on the other end. We had to blast the air conditioner to cool the bedroom. Otherwise, I am thinking of bringing my family there for a getway since there is a fully equipped kitchen and the market is across the street. It was peaceful.

Off the main strip, but nice hotel otherwise. Enjoyed our stay...

We loved the Papakea! My wife and I were looking for a good compromise between cost, location, and amenities, and we certainly found it! The Papakea is located on a quiet, cozy recessed drive away from the main highway. Most of the occupants were families with kids or older couples. The cost of the room included free wi-fi and free parking, which was great since most other hotels/resorts in the area charged separate fees for each of those amenities. Our room was clean and comfortable, and was only serviced when we requested it. The kitchen is GREAT because we didn't want to have to eat out for every meal (especially breakfast), and it was fuly stocked with tableware, silverware, pots, pans, utensils, etc. The room also included a few used books, games, and puzzles, which were nice ways to wind down the evenings. The Papakea doesn't open up to a beach of its own, but the neighboring hotels did, and it wasn't a very far walk to get to the open sand and ocean. It's a short drive from the Papakea to other destinations, such as Lahaina. The Papakea is also within walking distance of grocery stores, restaurants, a post office, and rental shops (for snorkeling gear, boards, etc). GLUTEN-FREE: My wife must eat a gluten-free diet, and the Papakea is a short walk from a great natural foods store (the Farmers Market), and is right across the street from an italian restaurant (Pizza Paradiso) that has excellent GF pizza crust and other GF menu options.

We spent four nights at Aston Papakea Resort for our honeymoon. The hotel and room give you a relaxing feeling. Very beautiful beach view and hotel garden view, they also offer small amentities like golf, swimming pool, and jucuzzi. Full kitchen supplies, might be great for family gateway where you can cook. Also have laundary in your room. Very convenient. Small restaurants and grocery malls around.

Very nice condo. The only problem was some maintenance issues, like the showers gave us problems with the amount of hot water available, and one shower had a broken handle.

We enjoyed our stay at the beautiful resort and would recommend it to anyone who ask.

We would book again- simply put. For the high season on Maui, rates were reasonable. The place is a little older and therefore a few things were pretty 80s like the wallpapered rooms and slightly worn cabinets but that is the only even slightly negative and it is hardly worth the mention. The place was spacious, well equipped, nicely furnished, very clean (matters much more to me than retro wallpaper) and very comfortable. For a 1 bedroom, full living and dining area and full kitchen, you won't find a better deal on Maui in February. I took a chance via a hotels web site and was very pleased. Don't let the lack of 5 stars fool you. It was great.

The resort grounds were beautiful and very well maintained.

We liked our unit - but next time, will ask for a sunny location. (Missed the sun, we did.)My biggest complaint is a small one: the paper person thought it was his/her job ti wake us up at 5:30 am. Am told there are less expensive ways to book this unit - will explore this and if savings are substantial, be vocal online.

It was a wonderful place to stay on our honeymoon! Everything was very clean and all of the staff was very friendly! I will definitely be staying there next time I visit!

The Aston Papakea is a nice, if a bit aging, property. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room (individually owned condo) needed a bit of repair, but nothing that detracted from a great stay. I would say the biggest surprise was that a property this large does not have a restaurant or bar, although you can walk next door to a sister property. It is close (walkable) to the market and a nice park. Although we had a great view of the ocean, you have to walk a ways for beach access (sea wall in front of property). Overall, very nice stay and we saw a ton of whales from our lanai.

awesome property, great views

I asked for luggage stand. They told me only owners can have it. Luggage stand is very common which most 2 stars and up resorts should have it for each room as standard. The resort should change all the TV stands. It blocks the left and right sides.

We loved it, and plan to come back. Having free DVD and PlayStation 2 game rentals meant my husband was never bored. The pool and hot tub are clean, and the location is right next to the beach. Nothing beats soaking in a hot tub while listening to the sound of waves crashing behind you. Location wise, it is perfectly situated within walking distance of a supermarket, coffee shop, a fruit stand and a few small restaurants. It's right next to the main highway and getting anywhere was a breeze. Plus, it's within 10-15 minute driving distance of some fabulous restaurants. There are five or six grills next to the pool, meaning you can do a little cooking and grilling if you'd like. Best of all, there was free parking. FREE parking for your car (2nd car is charged $5.00/day which is still less than other hotels). Getting towels changed was a challenge, but having a washer/dryer in the unit was helpful.

We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. We were so comfortable and being on the ground floor was perfect for walking over to the pool or putt putt golf. We had brought a collapsible putter and it saved us a bit of $ since they rent putters for $3 an hour! It was a home away from home. The grounds are very well kept and spotless. We've told all our friends that we will definitely go back there. Another selling point is being within walking distance to the ABC store. If we needed anything, it was only a few minute walk through the back gate. We fell in love with the Pineapple Vodka and POG juice. Great island drink ;-) Very friendly staff. We did the submarine tour (we were disappointed) Hana tour, zip lining, helicopter tour, and sunset cruise and they were all worth the $. They were presented at the Sunday morning orientation with Sandy.

The Aston Papakea Resort was comfort from the start. When we got there the staff was wonderful making sure that everything was taken care of. There was not a bad view of the ocean and surrounding Islands at all. The property was clean and ground crew paid special attention to making sure that it was well kept. The surrounding area was inviting as well. We have already made a decision that when we go back it will be at the Papakea Resort.

My family and I had a great stay at the Aston resort. It is worth paying a few extra dollars to reserve the ocean front property. The calming effect oif the ocean early in the morning and late at night so close to one's room is worth the extra money. The small kitchen allowed us to make our own breakfast while eating out for the main course (restaurants are great but not cheap in Maui). The washer dryer in the room was a Godsend with two small children in our party. In all a great hotel.

The courtyard and view are beautiful. We didn't want to leave!

The condo was beautiful, this was my honeymoon and view we had was wonderful waking up to the beautiful sunrise. Listening to the ocean and meeting wonderful people. This would be a return resort; family friendly my husband and I would love to return.

Our updetairs two- bedroom also had a loft giving us more sleeping options for my group of teenagers. The pool and hot tub are nice and the grounds are beautiful. Free DVD's are a nice amenity. Also free parking. Adjacent to the Ka'anapali Resort area and a grocery store.

Papakea was great, loved the pool and hot tub. Basic unit, view was limited, not quite oceanfront as advertised, but a nice view if you are on the lanai. Murphy bed was like sleeping on a hide a bed.

The condo we were in was very nice, and the location ( beach, pool, water features) was nice. The service was not great - quite rude from the man who checked us out, and generally not as friendly or helpful from anyone we encountered in the area, especially compared to the excellent service we received everywhere else on the island. I would not recommend staying there.

I stayed there mainly to attend the Tournament of Chanpions at Kapalua. I had a very good experience at Papkea. Watching the sun set behind Lanai from their lawn chair near the shore was awesome. Minor complaint: They should open the pools earlier than 9 AM. At the timeshare I own elsewhere, the pool and jacuzzi open at 7 AM, and I love to use it before breakfast.

We just happened on the Aston at Papakea because of our time share trade - but WOW we were delighted with reservations, staff and the great service from Expedia at the concierge. We extended our stay to two weeks and our entire vacation excursion plan was developed on day 2 with the assistance of the Expedia at concierge - Thanks Sarah !!!!! The unit was extremely comfortable, the staff was excellent, the grounds maculate and I would recommend the resort to anyone and everyone!

Overall I had a great stay at the Aston Papakea although when I called to reserve my room I was told that my room would be able to fit 3 people comfortably & we ended up having to get another room. There was supposed to be a pull out couch bed & we didn't have one in our room.

Reception staff were very helpful with recommending suggestions about anything we asked.

This hotel was excellent for our needs. Close to the beach, BBQ area, close by shopping markets, great all around service got to have a later check out for a reasonable charge as we had a late flight (10pm).. The room was in good shape and had everything we needed. I would recommend this hotel for anyone..

The hotel Aston at Papakea was nice. The rooms were small but clean and comfortable. We could see the whales from their beach. It is 15 minutes away from Lahaina but 1 hour away from Wailea where the better beaches are. The expedia desk was very helpful and their welcome presentation is a must. Troy was very helpful in planning are different events and if you book them through expedia you will receive a discount.

マウイはコンドミニアムが良いとの評判でしたので、今回はゲスト評価の高いアストンパパケアリゾートのオーシャンフロントを予約しましたが、ラナイの前がすぐ海の素晴らしい部屋でした。駐車場も棟の横で部屋の設備も生活備品はすべて揃っていて長期滞在でも不自由ないと思います。是非、もう一度泊まりたいホテルです。

가격 대비 위치 시설 모두 너무 좋았습니다. 이번엔 남편과 둘이 다녀왔지만, 다음에 가족 모두 함께 가고 싶습니다.^^

Magnifique endroit très bien situe

　周囲にはちょっとした買い物ができるお店などもあり、１時間に１便ではありませんが、Whalers Villageにもバスでアクセスできます。周囲は、特に夜になると大変静かになります。それこそ潮騒の音しか聞こえないような場所にあります。 　部屋は清潔で設備もよく整っており、快適に滞在することができました。カナパリの空港からタクシーで１０分ほどでアクセスできるため、便利な場所にあると思います。 　

豪華なホテルではないが、清潔感があり、快適でよかったです。 私が宿泊した部屋は、海岸から一番遠い建物の2階の部屋であったが、中庭、プール、スパの先に海とモロカイ島が見えて、景観も良かったです。 ホテルから歩いていける距離にスパーマーケットがあり、また、小規模なレストランやバーがあり、便利でした。 プールサイドにあるバーベキューグリルで肉などを焼いて、快適なバーベキューが楽しめた。 カフルイ空港から40km程の距離がありますし、周辺の観光にはレンタカーが必要ですね。
