La Quinta Inn Richmond South - ריצ'מונד

Bathroom drain was very slow. Other than that, we had a good stay.

Good location for shopping...all the big box stores are represented there. Not a good neighborhood for walking. The proximity to the historic district is less than 5 miles. We found it convenient enough to visit downtown savannah and we also took a day trip to tybee island. The La quinta was a conversion hotel and the rooms were a little smaller than we are used to. The hotel wwas busy and is getting a bit tired. A reno will be neccessary in the coming years. The Breakfast area was too small for the amount it needed to serve. The staff was very polite and accomodating. At an avg rate of $71.00 it was still an excellent value.

place was unfit for stay, would not recommend this place for an enemy, manager was very unprofessional.

FROM THE4 MOMENT WE STOPPED THERE WAS A TRASH CAN OVER FLOWING AND THE WIND BLOWING ITS CONTENTS ALL OVER. THE ROOM WAS DIRTY NOT VACUUMED AT ALL AND YOU COULD SEE THE DIRT AROUND THE BASE OF THE WALLS. THE CLERK AT THE COUNTER WAS DIRTY, UNSHAVEN AND AN ATTITUDE OF WHAT THELL ARE YOU DOING HERE. THERE WAS LITTLE WATER PRESSURE. IT APPEARS THAT THE FOREIGN OWNERSHIP IS TAKING THE MONEY OUT AND NOT PUTTTING ANYTHING BACK INTO THE BUSINESS. IT IS A SHAME THAT THEY HAVE TO BE IN THE OTHER LA QUNITA PROPERTIES. THERE FRANCHISE SHOULD BE REMOVED AND LET THEMSELVES BE CALLED THE DIRTY MOTEL..

Always enjoy La Quinta! Dog friendly is important. Nice breakfast. Very comfortable room.

Very clean with good location. Complimentary breakfast was an added plus. Would stay there again.

Greeted well when we got there. Hotel basically needs a facelift but was not terrible. Breakfast had waffles. Sink and shower do not drain, complained to front desk and sink was fixed but not shower. Beds were clean and comfortable.

great price, easy on and off from I-95. wonderful breakfast. hotel is a tad worn around the edges but is comfortable and quiet.

Almost everything in my room was broken or in need of some repair. The AC in the room gave off a foul odor. Dloors were broken, lamp did not function well and there were holes in the shower curtain that let water out onto the floor.

asked for non-smoking and given smoking room to start. Moved after we complained. Also, complimentary breakfast was very limited and disappointing.

Very pleased, close to highway and close to resturants also good for our pets. Thank you

It was a pretty nice overnight stay, starting with the cordial girl at the desk, the ease of check-in and the cleanliness of the room. I was rather disturbed in the morning when I went down to the breakfast and the man who appeared to be the manager was scolding someone loudly on his cell phone in the breakfast room. I left for 15 minutes to ensure that he'd be done with the call, and then went back, only to find that a lady was shutting down the breakfast at 9:05AM. So, if you stay there make sure you get to breakfast early. (If you don't, you're not missing much.)

Centrally located. right off the highway but five minutes from everything you need. Room spacious and comfortable. Breakfast also included.

Did not know I would be staying in a pet Motel

it was not so bad, pillows could be bigger, bathroom can be whiter, but overall stay was ok

I will not be staying here again. There were lights that did not work in the room. I should have heeded the poor ratings this hotel got.

My wife and I were returning from a trip to Florida. We generally look for a hotel with inside rooms and decided to try hotels.com to book in advance. We see the LaQuinta adds almost daily on TV and decided to give this hotel brand a try. The hotel was old and poorly maintained. The room we were given first was in rough shape and had a perfumed smell. Upon fruther examination we found that it was a smoking room (although we asked for a non-smoking room). We went back to the front desk and the person in charge was more concerned about the towels we may have used than pleasing us. He had to run upstairs leaving us to wait while he inspected the smelly room. We finally received another room and it was clean enough but falling apart with the wallpaper coming off the walls and the grout in the bathroom put on several times and in large clumps. The breakfast was nothing special. We will not be going to a LaQuinta hotel again anytime soon.

I understand that people sometimes are required to travel with their pets; however, my parents and I appeared to be the only people who did not have a pet. This would probably mean that most of the rooms at this hotel accommodates pets. Not cool if you have allergies or are particular about pets in indoors..

It was pretty good. No serious complaints. The office chair was terribly uncomfortable though.

I stayed at this hotel for 4 night's & would stay there again in a heartbeat. I had business in Richmond & Petersburg so I purposely booked this room in between both cities. The hotel is very easy to find right off I-95. The neighborhood was quite the hotel & room's were in tip-top shape. Well worth the price. Plenty of gas station's near by. The only down fall was is that ther were NO decent resteraunt's nearby,only a couple of fast food joint's.However if you travel south on RT.1/301 a few miles you will find plenty of places to dine.This hotel is directly between Richmond & Petersburg.

This La Quinta was very much a 5 star for my husband and I. The room was large and luxurious but most importantly it was clean clean clean! The bed was soft and the pillows were plush. The staff was extremely accomodating-The front desk upgraded our queens to a king and changed our room to one on a lower floor as our dog was afraid of the elevator.I could not have asked for more. I wish we were able to stay longer and that every hotel that we stayed at on our trip across country was like this one. Cons-There was no pool and the breakfast was not worth waking up for but it was close to other well known breakfast establishments.

We had stayed in a LaQuinta Inn in Southern California a couple of years ago. We enjoyed our stay at that LaQuinta and thought this LaQuinta would be comparable. This was not the case. Even though this particular La Quinta was only about 10 years old, the room seemed dated, dark and dingy. Parking was atrocious. The lot is so small that I noticed that one guest had to park behind the building on a side street because there were no open spots.

It was very confortable

Our family stayed at the hotel for four nights. Room is clean. Linens are clean. Friendly and helpful service. I found the self laundry very useful. The room/hotel does not have any pet smell even though it is a pet friendly hotel.

nice location close to I95 and the best pet friendly we travel with our labrador and she was fine

Very convenient, clean, and well-kept. Great selection of fast-food joints/Subway close by. (Fortunately my room had a microwave and refrigerator because I ended up with a vegetarian microwave meal that I ate in the room.) Definitely Dog-Friendly, Not much food available in the area for someone who doesn't care for drive thru... The hotel was clean, well maintained, and parking was a breeze. The hallways were quite warm, but the room I was in was very cool once I got the AC going. (I figure they're saving on cooling costs, which I appreciate.) I enjoyed the free breakfast (hot WAFFLES!), and coffee, and was able to hit the road easily the next morning. The TV had limited access, as much as I could tell in my sleep-deprived stupor--might be more options if I could figure the right button to push. It seemed like a family-run operation with a minimum of staff, but I can say that all my needs were met and the room was IMMACULATE, which is really all I require. (You can keep the fancy soaps and wide-screen TV, in my opinion.) All in all an easy stopover south of Richmond right off the highway. With a dog. Can't get better than that. ---E

On our way from Georgia to New Jersey, in order to make the trip more interesting we decided to make a stop in Richmond to re-charge our energy and make a quick stop in Washington DC. It was a great idea! After a long day in the road it was the perfect oasis, with confortable rooms and all the services we needed to recover from a long day driving. After a restful night we had a great breakfast and we were good as new to continue out journey!!
