Hotel Pendini - פירנצה

My only complaint is that I pre-paid this hotel several months in advance.When I arrived the room shown to me on the 2nd floor was dark, depressing on a shaft covered with construction scaffolding.I felt a little betrayed. However after complaining the staff found me another room on the 3rd floor.Also on a shaft, however sound wise better than facing the piazza at night. The room was flooded with sunlight. the shaft filled with flowered window boxes and the room was beautifully decorated. What a welcomed change.After that I throughly enjoyed my stay.Perfect location between the Piazza Duomo and Piazza Della Signoria. Wonderful.

I enjoyed it very much as location was perfect for sightseeing then coming back for a break before heading out again.

The Hotel Pendini is a cute hotel in the heart of the Piazza Repubblica. Great central location.

I have previously stayed in this hotel and returned because I knew it had a great location in the centre of Florence with easy access to all the mayor sights. I was really impressed with the hotel this time as it has undergone a major renovation. There is now a beautiful new lift and we had an amazing room which was spacious well appointed and had a knock out view. The hotel staff were friendly, helpful and courteous. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and I really hope I will be able to return there some day.

Would definitely recommend this hotel...We stayed in Italy for 18 days and stayed in 4 different hotels while traveling to different parts...And this hotel by far was the best. Make sure to request the balcony side of the Piazza Rebuplica...fantastic views of the life of Florence. Just beware that you will hear lots of noise all day long and into the night. But we didn't care and slept through the singing most nights because your just exhausted from all the walking you did that day. Great large bathroom! Large room with fantastic views. Would stay there again!

Great location - right in the center of everything. Our room overlooked the square which was very nice. The rooms were very large, very high ceilings with gorgeous artwork painted on them. I think they were still in the middle of some renovations as some areas of the hallways/lobby/etc felt a little unpolished, but overall very nice.

Hotel is in very good location, not far from many sightseeing area, can walk to a lot of place. Not too much of choice of breakfast but all good, coffee was great and the view is fantastic. But the bathroom is bit old and need to update. The view from my room was fantastic, it was facing the square, but I think it is great in winter time and summer time may be a bit noisy. The other downside was we find the some of the hotel staffs at the front desk is a bit cold. Not too friendly.

The hotel is in the middle of everything! It is surrounded by awesome shops and bakeries.

Hotel Pendini could not have been located in a more perfect location--only a 10 minute walk from the train station and only 5 minutes from Duomo. It's right in Piazza Republica and right in the center of all the night time action. The hotel itself was very quaint and our rooms were spacious. My only compliant was the bathrooms...they were very outdated and the shower was just a folding screen door. They were also doing construction during the last day of our stay which was quite hectic around the hotel. The hotel decided to waive our local tax fee because of all the noise which was nice. Would stay again just for the location but hopefully the bathrooms are better next time.

The hotel is situated on the Piazza Republica which is central to everything you want to see in Florence. We had a balcony room, right on the Piazza. Wonderful for having a bottle of wine and people watching. If you are a light sleeper, you may want to ask for a room away from the piazza as it is noisy at night. You can see the Duomo just over the roof tops. Our room was huge by European standards. Although sparcely furnished, it was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and professional.

Great location, near the Duomo. We had a great view of the Duomo. Breakfast was pretty good. Rooms are big and clean and staff was very driendly

Decent hotel if you are planning on visiting sites in the center of Florence, as the location is very central. It's an old hotel with lots of charm and character, but needs a little TLC. Breakfast is ok. Great service. Hotel takes care of parking, which is great as you are not allowed to drive around the old city unless you have a permit. If you have a car and are planning on site seeing outside of Florence, look for a hotel outside of the old part of the city.

Excellent position, right in the middle of everything.

Booked this hotel because wanted to be close to the sights and it certainly was that. Also stunning location overlooking Piazza della Republicca. Standard bedroom was comfy but sparse and what furniture there was was old. Breakfast OK, did the job but nothing special. Reception area is very grand.

Wonderful hotel, very clean. The service was outstanding. Carlo arranged a babysitter for us so we could have a nice evening out and he helped arrange a Tuscan tour. The location couldn't be any better, close to just about everything. The Hard Rock Cafe is next door, which makes for a noisy late night, but it didn't bother us.

We had a very nice 2 night stay recently at this hotel in Florence. Would recommend it to a friend.

The Hotel was located central to most of the Historical sights within short walking distance. The rooms were clean and tidy and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is located close to a number of restaurants who also had very friendly staff.

Great hotel, great staff and location.

It was ok. The breakfast was good. MY biggest complain was that our room was dumpy and bathroom floor not very clean.

The location was wonderful. Very central to everything including the Duomo and train station. The hotel has a nice quaint Florintine feeling, rooms with very high ceilings and comfortable beds.

We were extremely happy with our stay, convenient location, wonderful staff, good value for the price, rooms very large. Only problem was the loud music from the piazza, which was not a fault of the hotel.

Firstly, all of the staff were "EXCEPTIONAL" and the Hotel Location was perfect for the daily touring we did. Plus the Breakfast served in the morning was more than what we were expecting. For these reasons the Hotel gets FIVE STARS from me. The room was "small" and the bathroom / shower even smaller. It was cleaned well each day and the A/C; which we needed as it was un-seasonably warm during our stay; worked very well. Considering that we were out sight-seeing each & every day and not back at the hotel until around 10:30 pm each evening to use only to sleep & shower in; it was acceptable; as the location was very important for us. For a subsequent stay I would ask if a "slightly larger" room was available.

Room was very clean, quick check in, decent breakfast, close to every important attraction north of the Arno river, definitely worth the money

Loved everything about the Pendini! The staff was charmingly accomodating and knowledgeable. The room was huge, airy and very clean. We much appreciated the soundproof windows for quiet while sleeping. Conversly, we loved to have the windows open during the day in order to enjoy the Piazza! We would go back in an instant!

First night stay was very noisy throughout the entire night- room faced street. After moving to a room facing the courtyard room was quiet and lovely. Breakfast was delicious and location is the best. This was our second stay and we would return when we next visit Florence

The hotel is right on the square, can't get a better location. The staff were polite and helpful. The hotel was quiet, so you could have a great sleep. I think it was very clean, but the building itself was very old, so it doesn't sparkle with clean, but they do a good job with what they have. The bathroom was small, but that is what you get from a old building on the square, you work with what you have. Overall a good hotel, and pleasant stay.

Only there briefly but the service was terrific. The hotel Pendini was better than our tour hotel we moved to.

Stayed here with my husband for three nights as part of our honeymoon.The location of this hotel can't be faulted. Right in the centre of Florence, close to all main sights and it's a really nice hotel but it would appear that some rooms are better than others. We had a room which looked out on to the inner courtyard rather than the square which didn't bother us. Room was nice enough but the bathroom was below par. Really small and the shower was stuck in the corner next to the loo which was not good. Reception staff were really nice and helpful but because of the facilities we would not visit this hotel again.

This was a good experience. The management was helpful, courteous and competent. A beautiful location in the active heart of Florence.

Had a lovely time. It was very comfortable (although small as expected), clean & we had a wonderful view of the acropolis. Would have loved an iron & a safe that wasn't operated by our room key. Other than that wouldn't hesitate to stay there again if I return to Athens in the future. Ohh, it was lovely having one of their staff come and talk to us over breakfast & answer any queries relating to the hotel or what to see around Athens.

The location was absolutely perfect and close to the major sights. Short walk from the train station, about 15 min. The rooms could use more comfortable pillows, but the beds are nice and the bathroom very clean.

Most enjoyable stay enhanced by the personal attentiveness from the Manager and receptionist nothing was too much trouble,. Spacious bed rooms clean but in need of upgrading - we believe this is to happen in the new year.A new lift is being installed -the old one is totally inadequate being too small.Public rooms very nice but again need a revamp..Attractive breakfast room and adequate breakfast forl a three star hotel. Superb location for exploring Florence.We would stay here again especially when the improvements are in place,

The hotel room was very clean and replete with necessary amenities. It is centrally located near the main square for shopping/restaurants. Because of this, you do hear some street noise at night, but it did not disturb us.

I really enjoyed the breakfast as well as the welcoming hotel decor.

Hotel Pendini was a OK hotel. The rooms were a nice size and were decorated with old styly charm. They are currently under a remodel, which will add a larger, much needed, elevator. The breakfast buffet was well done with several options. The highlight if this hotel is the loction...walking distance from everything.The downside was that there was no parking. We had along walk from the public parking, which would have been a problem with large luggage.

chosen for its location, which did not disappoint as it overlooks one of the main piazzas. Despite the location, car parking was easy - we were able to park outside the front door, where the car was taken away and returned for us by hotel staff. This meant it was expensive at €26 per night but what do you expect for valet parking in such a location. Only stayed two nights, but loved the hotel. Lovely conversion of an old building so lots of character. Very helpful front desk. Buffet breakfast not bountiful, but sufficient. Would recommend.

Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable and bathroom was clean. Free WifFi and continental breakfast were a plus. Hotel location was excellent--walking distance from train station and most sightseeing attractions.

The hotel was very nice and in a very convenient location, but it is on the top floor of a building. The elevator was very small and I am a bit claustrophobic so I walked up and down every time. It was about 100 steps each way. A second elevator was being fixed when we were there which was a glass elevator and a little bigger. We were there in the height of the tourist season in August for 2 nights. We had a room for 5, which actually had 2 rooms and a bathroom. I highly recommend that you ask for a room with NO carpet as the hotel is a bit old and the smell of mold and mildew in our room was horrible. We changed our room for the second night, as they were sold out on the first night. The carpet had large holes in it where the doors to the bedrooms and entry scraped the floor. The bathroom smelled of mildew and I had to leave the small window open so my eyes wouldn't burn. I may be over sensitive to the smell, but it was clearly apparent by everyone. The second night was much better but the bathroom was an issue, but we dealt with it because it was only for 1 more night. The woman at the desk, Pamela, was wonderful. She recommended a great restaurant and they really took care of us. The free breakfast was very nice, better than most than I have seen in Europe. It had cheese, fruit, ham, danish, cereal, yogurt, milk, juices, nutella, jam, etc. and a coffee machine to make specialty drinks. The hotel is very pretty and well appointed on that top floor.
