The stay was good and staff was very helpful and friendly. The only complaint I have is the shower curtain rod was falling down because it was missing some screws.

The pool still isn't in operation. Doubt if it will be anytime soon. There isn't much sound isolation through door. Could hear a kid running and yelling in galway. Though between rooms it seemed quiet. Beds were comfy not the best but far from being bad. Had a good experience there.

Bad Hote Room did not smell pleasant. Pool & Sauna not working Animals were allowed and all over the place Tub drained so slow that after showering you were standing in 4" of water ---took hours to draing. Toilet chain fell off the lever 50% ofthe time. Hotel clerk and her boy friend set out by the front door he drinking beer and she smoked like a locamotive. We put a no service sign on the door, went to the car and forgott we left our camera in the room, i went back to get it and a maid was in our room. After that we took any and all valuables with us every time!

The stay was fine. We needed a first floor room. One of the people in our party has MS. They did not have a first floor room, except one that was damaged in a rain storm. There was no elevator. It was difficult getting to the second floor. Our room was nice, the bed very comfortable, and the bathroom was very clean.

We were in town for an extended stay. The staff was very kind to us. Each day when we left they made sure we had clean towels etc. and linens. Very nice staff. Thank you.

No one was at the front desk and we had to call by telephone for a desk clerk to check in for a reserved room. The door to our motel room had a loud squeak as the hinges needed lubricant, but we were able to borrow some and oil them ourself. Our mattress was extra thick which was O.K. with me, but the mattress covers were made for a smaller mattress and kept comming off all night. Breakfast is usually available at 6:00 a.m., but this motel sign said it would be open at 6:30 a.m. We waited until 6:35 a.m. ,but no one had came to open up the breakfast room yet, so we left as we could not wait any longer as we needed to be on our way to a meeting. We were very disappointed in this motel!

For the most part everything was fine. I was especially glad that they had a self-service laundry room for guests after I had a spill in my luggage. However, when I awoke in the morning, there were three big bugs crawling on the bathroom floor.

There is only 2 hotels to choose from in Red Oak Iowa and the Super 8 was the wrong choice. The minute we enter the room, you could smell a stale musty odor. Then right before bed, just 1 hour later we spotted a cockroach. That really did it. Not very happy.

We have been staying at this Hotel everytime we visit Red Oak, Ia for years.

Red Oak is a very relaxed environment, and expected nothing more than what we received. The pool and spa were out of commission, which would have been nice to know beforehand, considering the weather was sweltering, but we dealt with it by staying in our nice cool room when not out and about. Good value for the money, considering the neighboring hotel is almost 2x more expensive.
