SUPER 8 HARRISBURG IL - הריסבורג

Harrisburg being a small town this Super 8 is very nice. They recently did some remodeling and expanded the free breakfast to even include waffles and they have a larger dinning room. Staff always very friendly. Room very clean. Good value for the price.

Breakfast was bland and mimimal. Had apples one day out of three that were not even clean. Coffee was basic, toaster not great, cereral was limited. Pastries were lowest level.

We were near the office, and could hear everything that was said, so heavier doors would be helpful. The staff was very nice and helpful.

This could be one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed at. When I entered teh room there was a half "full" bottle of Dr. Pepper on the TV. Weird, otherwise the room seemed to have been cleaned. In the bathroom there were about 30-40 small winged insects flopping around. I turned on the shower and washed them down the drain, but the ceiling above the shower was "dropped ceiling tiles" and they wre kind of hanging open a bit. So I was grossed out by the shower and unwilling to try for a shower in it. If at all possible avoid this place. Stay over in Marion or Carbondale, it's worth the 20 minute drive!

No frills hotel if you just need a bed to spend the night. Horrible breakfast. No selection and what was there was stale. Room was OK with nice frig and microwave. Non smoking room, but you could smell smoke in the hallway.

Overall we were pleased with our stay at Super 8. There was no elevator tot he 2nd floor and for seniors it was difficult climbing the stairs - we had one with a heart problem and another with a bad ankle. We were among the earliest to check in but weren't offered a room on the ground floor which would have been much more satisfactory. Communication with the person at the desk was also difficult, however, the rooms were comfortable & clean.

The bed needed to be newer. we sunk in . The breakfast could have had something hot such as a waffle maker like we've seen in other super 8's. Guests were smoking in the hallway with nonsmoking rooms. That was rough on my sinuses. That shouldn't be allowed. The staff should have been there 24 hours. Otherwise, the staff was very pleasant and helpful. The rooms were clean. Staff was helpful with directions to stores and resturants. Nice stay.

this was the smallest continental breakfast i have ever seen. don't plan on much more than a piece of toast and a bowl of cereal.

The manager of the hotel is accommodating and has a cheerful personality. Hotel is located at the gateway to the Shawnee National forest and the Garden of the Gods. Inexpensive compared to others in the area. BASIC SHELTER. No Pool!!!!!
