Pluses: good location as the main underground and railway station is a stone throw away. Very nice and clean design. Minuses: Long check-in process, not enough people on the reception to cope with the volume of people checking in. I don't know if this is the case for all the rooms in the hotel, but we were unfortunate to get the room where the air con was controlled centrally and it was amazingly too hot so we didn't sleep very well due to that reason. Gym/sauna is not included in the price and cost extra, which i would have thought would be included in the price.

Nice futuristic design, great staff, conveniently located above the Metro, large and well equipped gym (though it smells badly of sweat!)

It is a newly renovated hotel located right over Sants station. Excellent access to amenities.

hotel pretty and high-tech, but windows don't open and climate control sucked--room very stuffy. when my partner (who is black) went out to smoke the hotel security staff were always watching him and he was questioned by security at one point under the assumption he was not a guest, altho I (who am white) came and went essentially unnoticed. Not a very friendly play.

Very comfortable, access to the airport by train and subway access into the downtown area. Good value for money.

It was very convenient as we arrived by train at Barcelona Sants station. The only problem was that although we could see the hotel was above the station it took some time to find the entrance to the hotel as the entrance was small and unimpressive.

We had a great time at barcelo sants....friendly helpful staff who checked us in even though we got in at around 10am way before checkin time. Room was great and i love the contemporary/hip decor....great shower too! The only minor complaint is u need to take a subway everywhere....but these are at the hotel's doorstep.

Very good price, excellent services, very nice neiborhood and very convenient location

When traveling to another country you never know what to expect. We were susprised at how amazing this hotel was. When you first walk into the huge lobby with it's round conference table and futuristic theme, you know you made the right choice. The rooms were a little small, but that is Europe. Clean, bright and comfortable is everything you want from a room and this had it. I loved the shower with it's large rain head and plenty of water pressure. Your entire body got wet as soon as you walked under the spout. The breakfast was a little expensive so we ate elsewhere. Helpfull staff and a taxi stand right outside the Hotel. Nothing but good things to say about our stay. Wish we had more time.

Very convenient to Sants train station. Modern, small room. Very large King bed. Hard pillow.

The hotel is located at the good location at the metro/train station. It is also right at the stop of the Barcelona Turistic Bus. The hotel is very modern, and rooms are very clean. Also the buffet breakfast has a great selection. As we were attending the football match it was important that the hotel was in proximity of the stadium which was 15 minutes away via walking.

The rooms WERE quiet in spite of being atop the train station. The space theme grew on me, but the bathroom arrangment forces a high degree of intimacy. The hotel is not close to much but a quick Metro ride drops you right at the top of Las Ramblas. We made several train trips to cities outside the city; Tarragona, Girona and Sant Sardurni so this location was ideal for us. The bus tours of the city [highly recommended!] had a stop right across the street.

My first visit to Spain. I will definitely come to Spain and stay at Barcelo Sants again. I like the futuristic theme.

Very comfortable. Safe locality. Good view. Great bed. Helpful staff.

Close to train which made getting around great. Only issue besides not getting a bouble bed, we asked for safe to be opened, which no one followed up on..

Fantastic location, train from the airport arrives at the door, Hop on Hop off bus at the door, great hotel, nothing I could complain about at all.

I liked the hotel, location is perfect near to metro ,bus and the touristic bus (which is a must if it is ur first time in Barca) the room is cozy

All transportation is immediately accessible. Hotel is squeaky clean and very modern. The bathroom design is a little different, tad less private. Best pillows ever. Staff were very helpful and pleasant. Great 3-night stay.

Was a nice hotel. The arrangement of the rooms was a little odd. It was laid out as one room with out the bathroom being a separate room which is kind of unusual. Still cool though with a nice view of the city and stuff.

I had to stay there only one night before going on a cruise, but i was really impressed by room quality, its modern "space" design and location. Would stay here again n definitely recommend to friends.

Very modern and clean. convenient for airport and metro to all sights. only complaint would be that separate toilet and shower are part of bedroom separated by vanity unit so there is no privacy. ok for a couple but not so good for others. we did enjoy our visit and would stay there again.

The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. We checked in after departing our cruise ship for an overnight stay. The hotel was able to get us in our requested room by 10:00 am, well before normal check-in. The room was immacuate, had a great view and interesting decor.

Wonderful hotel. Clean rooms. Great prices. Close to buses for touring city and is right above the train station. Easy train ride to the airport. Arrived early and were able to store our luggage with the hotel until check-in time.

The entrance was a little hard to find (we had to go around the train station with all our luggage), but otherwise we had a very nice stay - the hotel is nice and clean, the location is good, since it's so central and close to the public transport. We had a room on the top floor and had a great view over the city - i'd definitely recommend it.

Overall I enjoyed my stay here. Extremely modern hotel with quality finishing. My only complaint was that the A/C is my room was particularly weak and I had a trouble sleeping due to this. As far as location is concerned, the hotel is not in the most vibrant area but a convenient one as the Barcelona main train station is situated right on top of the hotel, making it extremely easy to commute to the beach, airport, etc.

Hotel Barcelo-Sants is silly. It is space-themed. It is above a train station. With that being said, it was the first place we stayed on our Spanish honeymoon and we loved it! We obviously didn't do traditional lay-about-and-hug-each-other or whatever honeymoon, so we didn't live in our hotel room, but it was very nice. A real king size bed (not two pushed together!) was a big plus. They had a ton of toiletries-shampoo, soap, razor, lotion, toothpaste, toothbrush, q-tips, makeup sponges, shoe shine- that I really liked. The front desk was a little cold; they just weren't smiley friendly people. I also didn't love the elevators from the train station to the hotel lobby (looked a little sketch).

Enjoyable and comfortable

The hotel is quite modern and is well located if you plan to use the metro. It has a direct train from the airport which we used to get to and from the airport. The L2 and L5 metro lines run below the hotel. So it is convenient to Las Ramblas as well as Plaza Catalunya. Cons: The breakfast buffet was overpriced for the offering. The rooms are modern and are comfortable and roomy (for europe!). All in all, if location and conectivity is a priority, then this fits the bill.

Location: The location is very good as it sits on a major metro station. Visiting downtown Barcelona is very easy as on line go straight. 22 minutes was only required to go to the airport. Taxi is not expensive as it is not far away from the downtown. The neighbourhood is very residential and sleeps very early. We could not have any meal in this area. Room: Very clean and very well furnished with modern and new furniture. Establishment: Very new and truly a 4 stars hotel. Breakfast: Excellent Staff: Very friendly and helpful Would I go back? Yes, but I might pay more to be in the downtown area and save myself the commuting time.

Room wasn't cleaned properly, AC didn't work either. Not up to the standards that I would expect from a Barcelo hotel.

The reception staff could not be bothered to help us at all. You could not change the temperature of the room, making it quite hot while trying to sleep. Good location, however.

very convenient for the train and taxis. air conditioning was difficult because it went off every time we were out. The room would then get hot and take a long time to cool off when we got back.

overall great hotel. Great service. Staff very friendly and helpful. On top of metro station so very convenient. Easy to get taxis too. Not the greatest location. The room was very comfortable. And we had connecting room for kids.

It is a really comfortable hotel to stay in with a great bed and shower. All amenities were modern and clean. It is really nice to come back to after a long day out. It is located in the Sants area which is away from the main Barcelona area but is very accessible because there is a train station just downstairs in the same building.The only complaint my husband and i have about it is the water. It smelt very strongly of bleach and it stayed on our skin for a while after using it. We asked the front desk and they said it was because of additives in the water but it was safe even to drink. The smell can get pretty disturbing on the skin like you've done laundry with a while lot of bleach in it. Overall still a very comfortable stay.

Great staff and the metro train is directly below the hotel. Be aware, it's 10€ to use the small gym.
