The staff were friendly and provided great service. The room was clean and comfortable. For the price- 55. night it was a good place to sleep, take a shower and get on the internet. The furnishings were old and worn. Bed spread torn on the corner. Building is a bit run down. Good stop over to meet your basic necessities. I would stay again for this purpose.

We were in Lynchburg for the Indoor State Track and Field Championships at Liberty University. THe Hotel was 9 miles from the competition. Was quite. very basic, but for the price, we would stay here again. The staff was very nice and helpful.

Not a comfortable stay at all. Towels were dingy and dirty. There was no fitted sheet on the bed. The pillows are old and need to be replaced. Chairs were stained and filthy. Heating unit in the room was extremely loud. Will not stay there again!!

Hotel staff rude. Hotel shabby and dirty. Furniture old, threadbare. Caulking coming out around bathtub. Towels thin and worn. Parking lot full of broken asphalt. Only amenity - ice maker worked.

One of the cheapest options in the area. It's not the Hilton, but things are clean and I didn't experience any problems.

I've stayed in worse, but that's no reason to ever go back. Reasonably close to Lynchburg VA & about as cheap as you'll find there. Everything worked, just old & looked it.

My stay was complicated by a severe storm which caused a lot of damage and loss of electrical power. The manager provided candles but could not do much more. There was water, soap and clean towels. The housekeeping staff did their best!

The room was very quiet,the bed was clean and confortable,the pool was fantastic,and the people who run the hotel are very nice i will stay a again.

We found leftover food in the microwave, burn marks on the bathtub in a nonsmoking room. The beds were at least somewhat comfortable. This is a last resort hotel to stay at, trust me.

College Graduation weekend for 5 schools. Short notice reservation. Plan on using same motel on next visit.

It was ok for the time we had to stay in town. The in room fridge didn't work very well, froze drinks solid when it should have just kept them cold...some of the outlets in the room did not work....a lot of stains on the walls and in the tub but it isn't a four star hotel so we didn't expect the Taj Mahal. It served a purpose for the short time we were in Lynchburg.

Staff was friendly, room was clean, bed a little hard. Was a great price and conventiently located to our destination.

It was ok. maid service was bad and didn't clean well..

It was HORRIBLE the first 2 times.. But the last time (this time) it got better. The room we're in now is better and so are the people that own it. Much friendler now, which makes it more comfortable. That's great because It's the motel closest to work!! Thank you for any improvements you may have suggested to them!!

Our first stay was booked an not refundable so we had no choice but to stay. This is how our stay began.. my husband opens the door an we got our dog out, an into the bathroom so we could unload our things. After unloading, i let my dog out and she must have pulled the towel into the tub, so i reached into the tub an pulled it out. Drug paraphenalia fell out of this *clean* room!. Not to mention, it fell to the floor and shattered around my feet!! Also when we were leaving, i cleaned out the drawer beside the bed which contained important papers and i moved the phone book an the BIBLE, an there layd another kind of drug papaphanelia. We were ready to explode in anger, considering we almost brought our grandchildren!! We also had hundreds of flying bugs (literally) an when u take a bath, they joined you! Also the roaches! We lost a dvd player an alot of food because they were in EVERYTHING! we had to Wash an double dry everything, praying we weren't carrying them with us. I told the manager and the housekeeper and the best response was **ok** i had my shade pulled open just enough to get a little sunlight in and thet first couple of times i thought it was normal, like doin a check on everything...that is until the owner stopped..several times just to look in, my husband was at work. I, of course told my husband but nothing happened, that is until I took the car to the store an opened the shade a little just like i had before. My husband confronted him and i was afraid it would get ugly! This was ridiculous.. maybe thats why they've earned nothing!

I chose this hotel becaue it was a fraction of the cost of the other hotels near Liberth Univesity where my daughters were attending a college for a weekend event. I didn't expect much considering the price, and the hotel was pretty much okay. I ignored the roaches and I was fine.

Hotel close to our desired destinations. Very helpful staff. Didn't break my wallet. Room comfortable.

My non-smoking room did not have a No-Smoking sign on the door like all the others and it smelled like somebody just smoked a carton of cigarettes. The heat/air condition unit had broken and missing knobs & buttons. I had to get tools from my car to turn the heat on, and it was freezing when we checked in and took all night to warm up. The room was old and gross, flaking walls and ceilings. We sleep with our cloths on and got out of there as soon as the sun was up. I told the guy about how bad the room was at the front desk, and he said he would report it to the management. This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in my life, and a have stayed in 1000's of hotels.

This hotel was disgusting. The sheets, walls and even lamp shades had holes in them, the bath tub had hair in it from the previous guests, the bathroom had about 4 roaches crawling on the wall and in the tub when I went to use the bathroom around 3am. The bed was like sleeping on a piece of ply wood. It was very stiff and uncomfortable. The front desk attendent was very nice though.

Madison Heights Knights Inn was not the cleanest but for the rate i got on my room i think it was in great shape. Its in a very convenient area, right on the main street. I will surely be going there again!

The room was adequate, except for the electrical, refrigerator and television service, with extension cords making up for proper outlets and poor cable reception. The hotel clerk tried to be helpful with these shortcomings by opening up a second room for us, then trying to get decent TV reception. He also recommended a good restaurant and was personable, but I wouldn't recommend this place until work is done to improve it.

The room was fine I guess for the price, however, the shower water came up around my ankles and other people's scum water and long black hairs were floating around (I have short light brown hair). It was so clogged that even with the stopper completely removed, the water barely drained and took over 15 minutes to drain...YUCK!!! Also took over 5 minutes to get how water in the sink when we checked in, in the afternoon. Would not go back...sorry.

I was looking for a clean room after working very late and not wanting to make the round-trip commute. That's exactly what I got: a simple, clean room at a low price. There were no frills, just a simple place to stay. Breakfast was simple too, just some Little Debbie snacks in the main lobby.

Granted I am always looking an inexpensive hotel for our church youth trips, but this was by far the WORSE we've EVER stayed in! We had 4 rooms and 4-5 people staying in each room. They only had 3 very small towels, 2 hand towels, and 3 washcloths in each room. When we told them that we wanted them to put all 17 sets of towels (for all 4 rooms) in my room the next morning the employee looked at us like we were crazy. It was very hard to communicate with them because they spoke very little English. (We had one person with us who was fluent in Spanish, but they didn't speak Spanish either. I think they were from India.) We left and came back. They had removed our dirty towels, but had not done anything else. We were in our rooms when they came around to "clean" (we had requested they NOT enter our rooms for anything other than to put the towels in my room). We gave them our trash and told them we didn't want the rooms cleaned and then requested our towels. She handed me 3 small towels, 1 wash cloth, and no hand towels. I said, "No, we need 17 sets of towels and I will give them to our other 3 rooms." She said, "We put towels in other rooms." I said, "Okay..well..I still need 1 more towel and 3 more wash clothes." She sent the other employee away to get them. Apparently they have to wash the dirty towels before they can give you clean ones! He took them from another room! No fitted sheets for the beds. No mattress covers. I requested a cot for one room and then saw the employee putting the sheets and blankets on it in the PARKING LOT. Oh...parking lot was VERY SMALL. All 4 showers had "soft spots" in them...it felt like we were going to fall through the floor of the shower! The only thing they "gave" you were two small bars of soap (& we didn't get those but once). No hairdryers. No iron or ironing boards. Some of the electrical outlets were controled by the light switch, so when you turned the lights out if you were charging something in the outlet, it was turned off.

I was looking for an inexpensive place to stay for one night after a football game in Charlottesville, about an hour away. One of the reviews said the hotel was clean and inexpensive and I thought that a good recommendation. It was clean and it was inexpensive. And the lady at the desk, with whom I spoke two nights before, was most helpful with all my quesitons and most accomodating when I asked for a non-smoking room. However, the area surrounding the hotel was not "nice" and the room, while clean, definitely showed signs of refurbishing. It is obvious the proprietors are doing and have done everything they can to improve the property, and I believe they will continue. But the location, which cannot be changed, is not desirable, and they have more work to do. Again, the service was impeccable.

Rooms are small, but clean. All we needed was a place to spend one night, and this did the trick. Motel is obviously old, but everything worked in our room. For the price I'd stay again. Breakfast isn't much, but didn't go away hungry. Located within a few miles of Walmart, grocery stores, etc. The internet was very slow. The people were very helpful. I wouldn't pick to stay for a week, but maybe I would just because I'm such a cheapskate. All in all, I recommend.
