Old inn & old in everything, the room smell unpleasant my sister sneeze all the time. I would choose another inn.

I loved the room itself.. TINY for sure (One bed) but it had a fridge and a mircrowave included, with a wonderful price. **The only negatives where that the lounge chair had a large stain and the bathroom mat was put on the side of the tub, suction cups down, (can't dry ..). I talked with the management, and they were wonderful in taking information down and saying they'd work to fix the "problems". (The cleaning gals are high school age and I realized they were just starting out. A few little things to learn is all.. **The breakfast was a lot better than I'd anticipated,. Toast, bagels, yoghurt, cereal, boiled eggs, fruit, juice, coffee-etc. Really nice selection for such a tiny place.**The bed and the pillows are wonderful!!** I'll return.. :)

A PLEASANT OPERATION NEAR THE INTERSTATE.

This was my second time staying . First time ever was in July on a recommendation from a friend . Clean rooms and very comfortable beds . Right across the street to the super Walmart and places to eat close by . Outlet stores 5 minutes away and Bellingham only 20 minutes . I will make the Tulip Inn a regular stop and told a friend who is coming through on Saturday to stay . The rates were fantastic for 3 adults with 2 queen beds . So close to the freeway and I couldn't hear it .

We were here in August of this year and found our room spotless and cozy. We opted to stay here again, based on our last experience. Sadly, this time, we found our room to be less than clean. There was dirt on the floor behind the bathroom door and baseboards. There were cigarette burns on the furniture. The room.... Though we had requested non-smoking.... Smelled like stale smoke. I want to add that the front desk staff were friendly. The breakfast was great. Sad the room was not kept up to the same standard as before.

I was happy with every thing about this hotel considering the price, except the bed, it was lumpy very old. I had sore back next day.

This is a very well maintained hotel. Excellent location. Close to shopping and reataurants. Customer service was excellent. I will rent it again.

This is a well maintained hotel with lovely cozy touches that one doesn't often see in a chain hotel. I will stay here again.

Very comfortable bed and newer linens. We were just looking for a place to stay, nothing fancy, inexpensive and clean and this met our needs.

for the cost it was a good or even better than the 3-4 star hotels with the comfortable beds and room. The restaurant next door had good food,and love having walmart across the street. If I was to stay in Mount Vernon again this is the place to stay.

First of all, nice people at the front desk. He tried to correct room concerns when brought to his attention. When checking in I told lady at the desk we had a small dog that was not noted in the reservation even tho' I reserved the room including her. She corrected this problem and put us in a pet room with the added fee. Would not stay there again due to conditions of our room. Cleanliness was not a number one priority !! Overpriced, would not recommend a stay there. In great need of updating.Again, very nice people handling the front check in desk.

The staff was very friendly & helpful.

We both thought it was very satisfactory. The ceramic tile is a little shabby, but the shower had the best water pressure, the pillows were great. This place not only had a microwave and frigerator, it had a sink and 2 burner stove, with some dishes and kitchen towels. Just amazing. The complimentary BUT, I have to say there was one big problem. I am one of those that needs almost complete darkness to sleep, there is a frosted glass window next to the "kitchen" and there is no curtain or shade of any kind. There is a parking lot with the bright parking lot lights on all night, of course, and interfered with my sleep. Other than that, the place was very good for the price.

We were traveling from out of state and would be stopping in late. I called at 11:27pm to let them know we were about an hour away, only to find out (via answering machine) that their office closed at 11:30pm. Was unable to get a hold of anyone there to check in. So we had to get another room at another motel. No where in any of their information did it say anything about office hours and that they close!!

For the price, very comfortable and clean. The bed was good. The complimentary breakfast had a wide variety.

We got a room with two queen-sized beds, which were quite comfortable. The room was clean and quiet. Great place to stay as a stop-over or over. We would stay there again.

The Tulip Inn is just off of the main I 5 Highway and close to the Walmart Super Centre. Its on a strip with many restaurants. The location was great and staff at check in were very nice but the room itself was very dated. The bed felt like it would fall apart when you sat on it. It was rickety. The bathroom had no bathtub, just a shower. The ice machine did not work. After a hard day of shopping we had to go out again to find ice.My partner heard the man next door snoring. Breakfast was included and it was nice. Coffee, tea, orange juice, cold boiled eggs, cream cheese, bagels, cereal, toast etc. Better then your average continental breakfast.

Desk clerk was professional and friendly. Room was fresh and clean, no odors. Motel exceeded by expectations. I would definitly stay here again.

Came in late and the clerk (a young girl, 20 -22) was about to go out for the night. Plenty of empty rooms, gave me and my kids a room along the freeway. Room had bad smell, and not very clean. Continental breakfast was poor.

Overall a veryyyyy nice place to stay. No problems wid A/C or Bathroom etc. Worth the money.

this is the second time I stayed there, always clean staff always helpful and very friendly. the room although small was clean. My low score on room was a/c didn't work right and was extreamly to hot in room. I would stay again I'm sure other rooms are great.

I was VERY satisfied with the Tulip Inn. It was a little older but it was very clean and quiet. I felt right at home and the staff was wonderful.

Our hotel room was not very clean, especially the bathroom and kitchen. The breakfast was okay but there was nowhere to sit, except outside on a picnic bench which wouldn't be very pleasant if the weather wasn't nice. We could hear every time someone in a room near us had a shower. Overall, we wouldn't stay here again.

We needed a room arriving late (after midnight) from the San Juan Ferries. Our room key was waiting in a safe place and the manager had left the room light on. All very welcoming. Our only problem was lack of parking. That late there were no spaces in the hotel lot and we had to park in a business lot next door. The beds has plenty of fluffy pillows which are always a bonus. We had to leave too early to experience anything else. Overall we were very pleased.

The office staff was very friendly. I was disappointed with how hard the beds were considering the on-line description said they were plush. It was like sleeping on springs. The room it self was clean but the bedding I had wasn't the greatest.

For the money, this is difficult to match. The room/bath was spotless an well maintained. Check in and check out couldn't have been easier. Not sure about an extended stay unless you just needed someplace to land for the night...but for a quick over night or two...you'll have to go a long way to match this for the price!

For what we needed, a location close to the ferry landing, and what we expected, a clean comfortable room, Tulip Inn more than met our expectations. When we asked about a "nice" dining experience, we were directed to visit the city of La Conner about 15 minutes from the hotel. It turned out to be a wonderfully quaint coastal community and provided exactly what we were looking for.

The hotel was okay so if that's all you want stay here. The first night it was extremely loud, we had drunk people in the room next to us that made noise all night and into the morning. The pipes must have air in them because everytime someone went to shower the pipes make a loud clanging noise, so loud that my husband woke up and thought it was the fire alarm. The parking spaces are extremely small so be prepared for door dings. When we went to check out and get some breakfast the continental breakfast was a joke, no coffee or orange juice (all gone and not refilled). The desk clerk was on the phone and instead of putting the person on hold she looked at us and said "i'm going to be a while". It seems to me if you want return business you would put the phone on hold and at least address us. We had stayed here in the past and that's why we chose it again but it appears the standards have been lowered. To bad cause it could be a nice place.

Pleasant surprise. Comfortable and clean, updated yet just like home with a couch, chairs and coffee table for pleasant relaxing and watching TV. The bed and bedding were modern and so perfect for a good night's sleep, we missed the breakfast and enjoyed a 20% discount from a Tulip Inn coupon at the nearby Denny's. Superb location for an en route I-5 stop or a visit to the Skagit Valley attractions, La Conner and the Hwy 11 Chuquanut Drive south of Bellingham.

The staff was very nice. The hotel was old but kept in excellent condition. I would have enjoyed having decaf coffee but none was available either in the room for personal service or in the lobby with breakfast. There was a table in front of the air conditioner/heater? so I was unable to turn on the heat and it did get cold. Recommend less furniture in the room or smaller chairs- there were 2 wing backs with this table referred to squeezed between them so sitting in the chairs was difficult as the table hung over the arms.

nice place for the price. We went up to the area for our daughters volleyball tourney. it was nice a nice area. we would stay there again if we ever go back to that area.

This is an older hotel but that is OK with me. The bed was more comfortable than my bed at home and there were more than enough good fluffy pillows. I HATE it when hotels give you one thin pillow per person. Plenty of hot water and a non-skid bath mat to make the shower in the tub safe. I travel to Mt. Vernon frequently and this is the only place I intend to stay. Very reasonable rates.
