The over all stay at this hotel was pretty good, lots of restaurants nearby and on the beach but the room (especially kitchen and bathroom) felt very very cramped. Also if you're a couple looking for a quite place to stay I strongly do not recommend this hotel. The walls are paper thin, literally you can hear normal talking down the entire hallway so it's either tip toe in silence with your activities or announce your every move to everyone around you. Which in itself made being in your room a bit noisy. That and in your room you hear every footstep anyone in a room above you makes. We also had a lot of issues with the hotel with payment and it costing a lot more than was listed, even with tax + the 10$ fee. The best part was that the room was clean and we had a very nice lady check us in, but the check out service gave us a lot of attitude for no reason.

The front desk could never track a taxi down for you. They charge a $10 hotel feel each day that they never mentioned. It is right next to the beach which is a great thing. There is a bus stop two blocks away to get to downtown Miami. The room wasn't that great. It had a queen bed in one room and a pull out couch in the other. TVs are 20" old school ones. I feel like this hotel makes enough money to upgrade itself and doesn't use it because it is lazy just like the people who work there.

Okay, for the price it wasn't bad. I have it the benifit of the doubt but it was pretty bad. The place was decent but there were many things that made me cringe and others that I found I wasn't happy with: The door to the room and bathroom never closed shut completely The sink had rust marks The edges of the bathtub was still dirty The closet door was broken in the living room The toilet never flushed properly The moulding for the doors were falling apart The blanket was too thin to keep warm (luckily they had two fleece blankets in one of the closets) The lamp in the room didn't work (had to use our phone light at night) Clock wasn't working I explored the second closet in the living room area and relized it was for the water heater, this is what topped it off...it was all dusty/rusty/mouldy/stinks If nething I would not repeat. The price was good but I'd rather spend more for a better well kept and maintained hotel. Even tho it was only a place to sleep but I'd rather have a hotel where I CAN say I feel comfortable staying in if we ever decided to stay in and relax

It´s an old hotel, with worn out furniture, bathrooms, even the bedding is old. very old fashioned, maybe fron the 80´s, and nothing has been replaced ever since. the beds are not comfortable (old and hard). it´s clean though, in front of the beach. the pool is very little, not heated, and the sorroundings are like a dumpster. For the price, I would definately never go back, there´s many cheaper and better hotels in the same block.

Clean and quiet room. Front desk very informative and pleasant. Hotel less than a block away from the beach. A bus ride away from South Beach (15-20 minute ride). Bus stop is about 2 blocks away. Restaurants, a few juice bars, Cuban food, IHOP, supermarket--all along Collins Avenue. Not much to do up here, but traveling down to South Beach for fun nights isn't difficult. You can probably save money on hotel and food by staying in the 69th Street area, and then simply take the bus down to South Beach for the night life. The bus runs every hour after midnight, which is what the front desk told us. But there are cabs that will take you up north again.

nice room for the price very clean.

The hotel was very nice; however, my issue was with Hotels.com. They guaranteed an oceanfront with a balony (what I specifically asked for) and the hotels.com agent guaranteed me that. Once I checked into the hotel, I was told that the hotel does not offer oceanfronts to hotels.com and I can pay extra for an upgrade. Very disappointed about that and disappointed in receiving the incorrect information by Hotels.com. I could have gone on-line and booked my own room for the price.

There were about 2 employees of the hotel that were actually nice. The rest had attitudes like they didn't want to help with our requests, which were only to have our floors vacuumed while we were there since we stayed a week. The rooms are outdated and uncomfortable. We had two rooms and one of the toilets was hard to flush. We had to pay an extra hotel fee after being told that everything was paid in full. The parking is valet parked or metered, but you have to pay for either. The valet looked through our vehical and messed with our GPS settings. The pool is nice but you can't use it after 10:30 pm. The nice thing about the hotel is that it is right on the beach where we took long walks on the walkway and it was close to restaurants. I will not stay here EVER again.

As I sit here n the lobby as there is no wifi in the rooms, which for an international guest is pretty terrible. There's a lady flipping angry behind complaining to the hotel because they've charged her for 2 weeks she wasn't even here. I came down last night to attend to an important business matter which the man at reception, was extremely rude and would not let me make an important call to las Vegas. The hotel is in a terrible area but it's close to the beach, so if all you were after is the beach this place is great. How ever, the rooms r great, you deff get our money's worth there, and the cleaning service always do a great jb

Despite the bad reviews...I really enjoyed my stay. My room was spacious and clean. I will definitely go back :)

The associates at this hotel are very helpful and friendly; the room, common areas, and grounds are kept quite clean. The hotel has all the basics, but is a bit worn. Its proximity to the beach is amazing, and Subway and McDonalds are right across the street when the kids get hungry!

Room was very big for its price perfect location right on the beach nice size pool and great valet service great resturants also near Pharmacy incase you run out of sun block for the price I couldn't have found better... It was my perfect spontaneous weekend

I wish I would have read the reviews of this hotel before I booked it. Not much more I can say about that hasn't already been posted. Would never stay here again!

Dont Walk!! Run Away From This Place. It was Horrible. Looks nothing like the pictures on line. Horrible!!Horrible!!

Don't confuse this hotel with the Ritz, but it was clean, everything worked, and the staff was friendly. I am not a SoBe person, so the location was great for me. This nhd has a very strong Latin flavor, which I like. If you like that, you can't beat the location and the beach is <100 feet from the hotel. Probably 5 restaurants really worth trying within one block of the hotel. I'll be back.

We stayed two nights in a room where a closet door fell down and saw remains of a dead cockroach. We switched to an ocean front room where conditions were nicer - for the extra $50 per night. My husband was ill and needed a prescription filled. The staff did not know that local pharmacies are NOT open on Sunday nights (store open, not pharmacy). I had to drive across toll bridge to Miami to find an open pharmacy.

5 night stay....Not really in south beach where we wanted to be, but located right on the beach. Beach was clean and peaceful. Access to pool is outside of hotel around to the back (weird) but secured pool area. Parking is definatetly cheaper on streets vs. valet parking, but an adventure to find close parking some nights. Our room was out dated, but clean and comfortable for the price. The Staff was helpful, and friendly.

Very pricey for what you get. Parking and resort fee jack up the price even more. Helpful staff. Fold out bed not comfortable, but when are they ever. Great beach right behind the hotel. The best feature. There is also a decent gym on site for guests. A plus for me.

Very helpful staff but parking was expensive for a property of this nature. The room was kept very clean but fixtures very dated. Rocks are softer than the bed.

Big room, free WiFi only at the lobby, no balcony, no breakfast, public parking very close (and cheap). Very good gym. Helpfull employees. A little bit old hotell, but still clean.

This hotel has to be one of the worst hotels I've stayed at. The front desk was a bit rude. There was hair all in our bathtub and bath towels. The rooms look absolutely nothing like the pictures. Overall we were very disappointed.

This was horrid. First room was like a smoke wall that could knock you off your feet. Rude woman at front desk moved our room only to put us in a room with a dead rat or something in the ac. This left me dry heaving all night until the guy at the desk in the morning finally let us switch rooms. 3rd room was ok-ish. Location was ok, minus the $25 parking fee per day on top of the $10 hotel fee that they charge you per day. None of this is in their description. Bottom line... Don't stay here. Pony up the cash for a better hotel rather than this hostel.

This hotels is located in the middle of Miami Beach, is not expensive, and the room is a one bedroom suit. Everything is located around and in the room you have a bedroom and a sofa bed in the living room, really convenience and nice service. I really recommend this place.

... but if you like loud tropic decor you might love this place. (REALLY loud -- I stripped off the bedspread and tossed it in the corner it was so hideous.) The kitchen would've been nice if I was there for more than one night, but the room was only so-so. The bathroom was "tidy" but I wouldn't call it "clean." At check-in, the hotel assessed an additional charge ($10 or $15) above what hotels.com said the price would be, and the parking was NOT free ... you can valet or street parking (for pay) is close. I would not go back.

This "Resort" was anything but! Parking is $25 a day. Front desk was rude, we were charged an additional rate a day once we checked in for a Resort Fee. Bed & pull out couch were extremely uncomfortable. No WiFi in the rooms only in the lobby, I was on a business trip and had to walk accross the street to McDonalds to sit at a table to work, the lobby did not have desks just a few chairs & couches. The hotel overall was dirty looking. The ONLY friendly person here was the valet guy, he smiled and greeted us, very polite and held the door for us and helped us with our bags. Once inside it went down hill fast, we checked out the next day and went to a much nicer hotel. While checking out the desk clerk & hotel manager did not even ask us why we were leaving early or how our stay was. VERY UNFRIENDLY.

Everything looks cheap and old. There was no hot water, the electric plug for the toaster was not working, the toilet clogged, pool was dirty etc. etc. we had to change our room, was not a good experience

My best advice is that if Hotel's dot com gives it a 2 and half stars...they normally on honest about that. The hotel is an upper level Hotel 6 with a kitchen. If you are wanting BEACH and POOL access and could careless about the look of the hotel- then stay...if you are wanting to experience romance, nightlife, and luxury...then PASS on this! People were kind and had no issues with the staff- Hope this helps!

Room doors were sore out. Bathroom was rusty. Caulking in the tub was falling off. Lights were making very annoying buzzing sound... I would have expected more for all that money!

The location of this hotel is the best thing it has to offer. The whole of the hotel is in need of a face lift as it is run down and tired looking. We also had a problem regarding the payment . the whole amount had been debited from our bank account the day we booked on line and yet the receptionist tried to make out that the payment was outstanding.....it was sorted quite easily, but a little worrying at the check in time.

My trip was a last minute trip so I didn't stay where normally stay. The hotel was old and dated the tv didn't work the day staff was very friendly but the night desk clerk was not. I liked the fact it was so close to thr beach and that might be thr only reason I go back to that hotel

Not bad but not great... Me and some party friends stayed here in March and it got the job done but next time I will probably spring for something a little nicer. The bed wasnt that comfortable and forget about using the pull out sofa- they charged us $20 a night for a roll away that was also in not too great of shape. Overall if you want a cheap option to stay close to south beach this is a good option. If you are really picky and prefer to have a spotless room over saving $ then run away. But if you are like us and do more partying than sleeping you have found your base.

This may have been the dirtiest hotel I’ve ever seen. Elevators worked randomly, we took the stairs most of the time. Pool and Spa were gross…

Me and a few friends just stayed in this hotel for a spring break vacation recently and it was everything that we were looking for. It was a nice building (a little bit older building but no big deal), big room, great price, seconds to the beach, huge weight room, hot tub and outdoor pool. Need to drive or take taxi to South Beach about a 8 minute drive. Overall everything was great and if you are looking to save some money and still have a great time, this place will definitely make you happy!

I would never stay there again! It was my Birthday and I got to the hotel and they said that 100.00 was going to be held against my funds, that was never disclosed to me when booking I was only made aware of the 10 charge per night that I stayed. That was very upsetting because I came out there on a budget. The pillows weren't comfortable, they were flat, it felt like I was sleeping on the mattress and the matress was very uncomfortable. It was thin and hard. The first day room service never came I had to call for them at 3 in the afternoon. The towels were rough. When we opened the door to leave the whole side panel of the door fell off! We told the front desk and they said they would tell maintenance. We came back and they super glued the panel back and some got on the door and we had to shove it open! And we had to do this for the rest of the trip! The shower slide door did not slide easily and the elevator ended up being out of service for whatever reason. It was such an unpleasant experience and definately not worth what I paid! It was advertised nicely but I felt bamboozled when I got there. It definately put a damper on my trip. It was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in! And I have stayed in hotels for cheaper then that and they had the same aminities and even complimentary breakfast and these hotels were very nice. Never again!

My wife and I come the weekend would usually get in the car and drive and where ever we end up we'll stay in a hotel. Miami was the choice of place to drive to this time. Have stayed in many hotels in south Florida. These are my comments: Hotel located in a nice area of Miami, though the hotel looks decent in the exterior, the inside is still decor with a 1980 looks. Needs renovation to bring up to current standings of the deco Miami look. Bed was a bit hard, nice room size, furniture very outdated. Would recommend, if on a budget and looking to stay in a decent area of Miami without the frills you get with South Beach Hotels.

I was very pleased with my accommodations at Crystal Beach. The room was clean and large, and the staff was very helpful. We were very comfortable and would definitely stay there again if I needed a place to stay in Miami.

VERY OLD HOTEL, SMELLED MOLDY, WOULD NOT STAY AGAIN. ***TOOK THEM 2 DAYS TO PUT THE $200 ROOM DEPOSIT BACK ON MY ACCOUNT-AFTER I CALLED REPEATEDLY.** THE NEIGHBORHOOD WAS VERY DODGY, A CONVENIENT MCDONALDS AND SUBWAY BUT NOTHING ELSE**THE ONLY PLUS WAS THE BEACH ACCESS/BOARDWALK
