Hotel Novotel Milton Keynes - מילטון קיינס

Good location. Only a few minutes drive to shopping centre and the theatre district. Nice looking hotel with pool but we didn't use it. We had some issues with the room we had been allocated at check in and after swapping with other guests we eventually got a double bed and sofa and they got family rooms with three beds and not much space to move! The bed was comfy and there is a separate toilet and bathroom. Breakfast was included in our package. We arrived at the restaurant and had to queue to get a table and then had to plan what to eat as it was replenished due to the amount of people eating. However breakfast was good. Ultimately this was a nice hotel even if it is a little tired and needs a bit more organisation in some areas. We would stay here again and feel the price we paid was good value and very competitive.

We arrived about 9pm on a Monday and the hotel reception and restaurant/bar area was pleasantly busy with people socialising, which made a change from the hushed, deserted public areas we often find. if we'd been staying more than one night we would have been pleased to use the gym and swim facilities.

Maid forgot 1 bath towel first day. Upon notification, it was promptly provided. Could use more vegetarian options in the restaurant menu.

We booked this hotel to break up our return journey home from our holiday, the "Executive room" that I had booked was not good, I was given a very small, outdated room that smelled of diesel, it was that bad that we left soon after checking in and went home...

Overall very good.

Excellent hotel for our family of four, plenty of space and very comfortable, only negative was breakfast, it was pretty average with lots of people trying to serve themselves. Staff excellent

Hotel comfortable. Nice gym and pool with sauna and steam room. Breakfast good and freshly cooked. Hotel is in the middle of nowhere so you will need a taxi into town. Good for parking and easy to find

I was turned off by the poor service from staff. We were assigned rooms that was already occupied, not once but twice and the most disappointing was our credit card declined at dinner (not sure why) and we asked to use the reception phone to make a toll free call to the credit card company and was told to go back to the room so that the charges for the call would apply. We then told the Dining room to charge it to our room not knowing our credit card was not on file. They called the room around 10pm (we were sleeping from jet lag) that night to either bring a credit card down stairs or pay with cash. I asked if issue could be addressed the next day and was told no......very poor service and certainly consider all other options before booking another stay at this hotel

We only stayed one night but had a pleasant stay. The only complaint was the toilet smelled of urine.

One of the nicest hotels we have stayed in value for money wise.

A really good working hotel

Overall the hotel is pleasant but in the bedroom one side of the bed is far too close to the wall and very inconvenient. The air conditioning unit was very noisy. Having the toilet seperate to the bathroom seems unhygenic as guests touch door handles and light switches before being able to wash their hands. In our booking we had requested room 140 but when we checked in the staff had no knowledge of this request.

Excellent service from staff on every matter

The main reception area is funky and has a Mac for internet access. The pool is small but warm and perfectly adequate. The changing area could do with a bit of maintenance and there is not much space to change. The room was spacious. Looking a little dated but clean and perfectly sufficient. Can't comment on the restaurant as the breakfast was as much as the room so we didn't bother!

Staff were helpful and room was very comfortable overall good restful night. Didn't use facilities as too little time on this trip! Told that gym and pool open 6am til 10pm though.

A lovely hotel that was fully equipped for my needs. Rooms were warm and very comfortable. Bed was extremely cosy. The room was very quiet, and no noise from outside made my nights sleep really good. Would certainly stay there again

The stay was excellent and the facilities were of a very high standard. the staff were very kind and assisted with every request. My son loved the swimming pool.

Unfortunately this hotel is a bit outside town so unless you drive you have to take taxis back and forth if you want to go into the actual town. Otherwise it was incredibly pleasant. There is a small pool with a sauna and steam room which is nice if you fancy doing something other than lying in your room watching TV! I didn't eat at the hotel but we had a couple of drinks which were very pleasant. Lovely hot chocolate.

My only criticism is the air conditioning did not heat the room significantly enough. Even set to 25 degrees, it was only blowing out slightly warm air.

I upgraded to an exec room for the internet after reading some of the other review. The room was definitely not of a exec standard.The hose on the shower was split and projected water over the bathroom when in use. I told reception about this and it remained unfixed for the duration of my stay. I didn't receive the complimentary water in my room, again spoke to reception regarding this and this was still not provided. Phoned reception to get the code for the internet on the second night and nobody answered the phone, despite trying 3 times and holding for 5 minutes each time. The coffee machine was dirty on checking in to the room, which was fixed when we told reception. The cleaning of the room wasn't great. A plastic tag that was on the floor when we arrived stayed in the same place 3 days, the hoovering wasn't done. The bed was not changed or properly made. The only thing that was good was the bed was comfortable. But would not recommend you stay here.

The hotel is nice, but was spoilt by having room at end of corridor, and arriving to find room absolutely freezing. despite leaving heat on all night, we had to,sleep,in t,shirts and have noisy fan blowing out warm air all night. As we had booked a family room and had a child, we felt this was unacceptable.

We stayed with our two kids who lived the swimming pool. The beds are a bit too firm for our liking and the ventilation for the bathrooms is non existent. The staff are really friendly and helpful. Overall a good hotel and an enjoyable stay.

I arrived at the Hotel to be informed that they had received a cancelation for my booking and they had no rooms left. I showed them my confirmation and they were very appologetic. They couldn't tell when or why it had been cancelled but did offer to find me an alternative hotel. They managed to get me into Horwood House which was good but another 40 minute drive away. I don't know what happened but the staff at the Novotoel were helpful.

Excellent facilities, pool, gym and sauna. Clean, quiet comfortable room with Eco friendly toiletries. V Impressed.

The actual stay itself was wonderful, comfortable and warm - thenpool facilties were excellent - the kids loved it ! However - when we checked in - there seemed to be an error on the system where it was coming with my husband's name - family of 4 but our address was wrong on the system - we were kept waiting for a good 15 min - but the staff were very friendly and apologetic and gave us a complimentry breakfast ( which i am sure i had booked initially as there seemed to be a mix up about that too ! ) anyway - i was very patient even though we'd travelled for 2 and half hours in the car with my daughter forever going on and asking that dreaded question " are we there yet " ??!!! every 5 mins ! it all turned out fine in the end even though it was a tad embarrassing

So let me start with the bad bits because once you're inside it's pretty much all good. If you don't mind a taxi ride into town or the Fact that there are no pavements on the walk there then you will love this place but if you do then be warned its a bit out of town. That said, the rooms (exec) are extremely comfortable, the room service pretty good, the staff very helpful and friendly and there's a pool! Absolutely worth the money :-)

I stayed here for two nights on business. The room was very clean and the service was excellent. Parking was free and the location is just a few mins from the city centre. I enjoyed the swimming pool, sauna and steam room.

Book a smoking room was told when I arrived that the hotel was non smoking but apart from that hotel staff and pool was lovely

The staff were very helpful. Internet had to be paid for which surprised me. Corridors look very dated however the room was much better thank goodness.

I thought the hotel was in a good location and only a short distance (cheap taxi ride) to city centre. Everything was good up until I misplaced an item. It was't valuable but for piece of mind I needed to know where I left it. I called the hotel the evening I checked out and the woman at reception at was nice at first, but then was rude and lied when I called to check about my misplaced item. She hadn't bothered checking- I realised this because I called the next day and spoke to someone else who was very helpful and found the missing item.

Loved our stay would definitly go back. Would have liked Air conditioning but we did go when it was 30 degrees.

Very good with friendly and helpful staff

Great size rooms with everything you need and fitted to a high standard. The place has a very relaxed calm atmosphere and the front of house staff are very helpful.

We arrived early morning at the hotel and asked the receptionist if we could leave our case with her as we appreciated that arriving early our room wouldn't be ready. Much to our surprise she said that if the room had been prepared we could use it immediatly. She checked for us and we were able to immediatly go to our room.The cleanliness was outstanding and the bed very comfortable.Because of this we decided to have breakfast in the hotel. The selection of food was excellent and service received from all staff was superb. No one could have been more helpful. This hotel easily compares with the very best hotels we have stayed at anywhere in Europe. Quite outstanding.
