Its a decent hotel at a good price. A lot of terrific restaurants around along with a Walmart in walking distance. So if you're looking for a hotel than this is one I'd recommend.

My wife and I had a personal event to attend in New Paltz and after comparing many motels the Super 8/Newburgh was a decent choice. While it wasn't the Ritz Carlton, for under $80 it was fine. I will say though, for the most part the room was fine but there were a few problems with the bathroom, light fixtures in the bedroom and it was difficult finding an available AC outlet...especially in these days of charging cel phones and using laptop computers.

Everyone was really nice and helpful when needed. The only complaint was they couldn't keep up with the breakfast demand. Ran out of food and didn't refill fast enough or at all.

The accommodations were great. Microwave, refrigerator, both new. Breakfast station awesome, waffles, cereal, coffee, attendants was there replenishing coffee, etc. Great stay, from NJ. Got a great night rest and tv, not flat screen, but big. Definitely recommend. Love Super8's.

It was just what I hoped.

Our room was clean, if a little dated. The breakfast was what you'd expect. I don't know why people complain about lack of choice, it's continental! If I had any complaints, its that the heater was a little weak, but turning it up to 85 kept things comfortable, and the dog next door howled because it was left alone at night. I would stay here again.

I really enjoyed my stay here --- everyone was so wonderful & the room was incredibly clean & super comfortable ----- will definitely stay here everytime I go & recommend it to others -----

room is clean and quite, service is good, many supermarket and restaurant near by, it is very easy to buy whenever you want. 20 minutes drive to Woodbury Outlets. Parking is free! Wifi is fast and free!

We spent two nights in Newburgh and were pleased with our stay at Super 8. We just needed a place to sleep and it was relatively quiet throughout the night. The staff was friendly and the room was clean. The heat worked well in our room despite being a little loud. We didn't eat breakfast there so I can't comment on that. Did love the location, as there are many eateries near by and it's two minutes from the thruway. Overall a nice experience if you just need a warm bed to sleep in.

Very old facilities but clean. Good for a one night stay. No frills.

Exceeded my expectations.

I stayed at the Super 8 Newburgh for five nights when I first got to my new job location in the Hudson Valley. Because I was actually moving to the area, my car was loaded with personal items. I encountered three desk clerks during my stay. The first, at check-in, left me waiting at the counter for several minutes and couldn't have cared less about if I even knew where my room was. Somehow she cared even less about the fact that my room was as inconvenient to the parking lot as it could have been. So I carried all my stuff up the stairs, down a long hall and into my room. Of course, I had to retrace my steps at the end of the week when my stay at the hotel was complete. Another desk clerk looked at me one evening and said bluntly "What do you need?" Not "Sir, may I help you find something?" or "Can I be of some help?" My crime was that I needed a plastic fork and knife. But I must say that the young man who checked me out on my final morning couldn't have been nicer. So don't expect much and I guess you'll get what you expect. The breakfast was OK as there was a pretty good selection each morning. A refrigerator and microwave in the room really helped too. The room was quiet and clean. I wouldn't tell someone not to go there, but I wouldn't recommend it either.

The hotel wasn't awful though it isn't situated in the best part of town as far as I could tell. It was right off the highway though, which makes it very convenient for people looking for a place to stay while on the road to their destination. The A/C unit was ridiculously loud. It sounded like an old car breaking down whenever it was running and you almost weren't sure it would start running by the noises it made while powering up. We though it could possibly breakdown at any moment, and it was definitely startling while we were trying to sleep.

this hotel has rooms equipped with microwaves, all u have to do is request in advance, mind you i made reservation 2 months in advacne adn asked for a microvaw and fridge, upon arrive, the girl tells me she gave away all the rooms with mirowave and fridge, i was so shoked, i booked two months in advacne u think u would have the decently to think that this room should be equiiped as they are paying extra ten dallors for each microwave and fridge and they asked for it. no customer service waht so ever

I MADE THIS RESERVATION FOR DECMEBER BACK IN OCTOBER, REQUESTED TO HAVE THE ROOM WITH MICROWAVE ADN REFRIDGETRATOR (AS I HAD BEEN THERE BEFORE- SO I KNOW THIS PROPERTY HAS THESE ITEMS)..........UPON ARRIVAL THE GIRL SAYS SORRY WE GAVE THAT ROOM AWAY, WERE OVER BOOKED, HERES THE KEY TO THE LAST ROOM. I LOOKED AT HER LIKE SHE WAS CRAXY, WHY ARE U SAYING HERES THE LAST KEY, I MADE THIS 2 MONTHS AGO. AND I HAD NO MICROVAE OR REFRIGERATOR, LIKE I ASKED FOR, PLUS I PAID FOR THOSE ITEMS IN MY ROOM, BUT NO SHE WAS ACTING LIKE GOD, TELLING ME SHE WAS GIVING ME THE LAST KEY. THERES A RAMADA NEXT DOOR., I CHECK OUT AFTER 3 HOURS AND WENT THERE!!!!

The front desk staff was exceptionally polite, clean cut neatly dressed and helpful. The common areas were very clean, Room furniture was inexpensive and somewhat dated but was clean and not at all in disrepair. Overall for the price, an exceptionally good deal. Basic room was equipped with micro/fridge. Also there is a bar/restaurant next door and a Dennys in front of hotel.

Exceeded expectations for a one night stay

We had no unrealistic expectations for our stay at the Super 8. Upon our arrival, the front desk clerk was apathetic and could not have cared less that we were checking in. After having our room keys tossed at us, we made our way to the room. It was clean only in the most visible areas; behind every piece of furniture and under every chair were various forms of dirt. The thing that really sealed the deal was the LIVE COCKROACH on the back of the door. It had made its way inside one of the plastic sleeves that shows check-out times and emergency evacuation routes. Where there's one, there's usually about a million more, so we left. The front desk did not ask a single question about why we were ostensibly cancelling our reservation -- probably because they'd already charged us and didn't care. STAY AWAY!

inexpensive overnight stay on way to destination. Furnishingsneeded some updating. No elevator or us seniors. Breakfast served in miimal size room for no. of guests. Motel was full, so seating was inadequate. Food not repenished timely. Motel staff very pleasant!! Location most convenient to interstate.

was up for a West Point football game...weathered rooms...need of a refurb....breakfast included but basic fare... probably would not book again.

close to event and convenient for us, but there were no refrigerator or microwave in the room. the service was very good, and very accommodating to our family.

the room was clean and comfortable. had trouble with the toilet flushing a few times. the breakfast area was too crowded and not very good selection to eat but overall we had a good stay.
