Inn At The Convention Center - פורטלנד

After reading reviews did not expect much. Was pleasantly surprised. Arrived after midnight, ample parking under the building - well lit, there was a security person. Andrew at the desk, check in was efficient, helpful. Rm on the Max (rapid transit) side. It does run after midnight but was not an issue. Bed comfortable, plenty of blankets, pillows. Min toiletries provided. Did not use fridge - needed to be cleaned, repaired. First impression the bathroom floor is awful but it is just the older color of gold and was clean. Walked a block to Denny's for breakfast. There is a Burgerville within a block, has great hamburgers - use Tillamook cheese! Parking was free and were allowed stay in lot until workshop over in the late afternoon. Starbucks down across from CC two blocks. About 20 min to airport, easy access to freeway. Just across the river from downtown riverfront, take bus, terrible parking the waterfront. Be aware one whole lane is just for bikes! If you have an event at Convention Center this is a property to consider - certainly not fancy but you will get a good night's sleep and save a few dollars for a latte or something else.

This hotel is in a very convenient location. But it has not been renovated in years, which gives it a very unpleasant feeling and it is permeated with bad odors that are hard to ignore. After seeing the place, and having a few awkward hiccups with the rooms they tried to give us (including trying to give us a room that already had people in it, then a room with a sink that wouldn't drain) we simply chose not to stay there.

This is an older hotel and needs a little TLC. I sorta knew what I was getting into so was not shocked. It is clean, the rooms are nice and the beds are comfy. The pillows died a long time ago and it is time for new ones. It is located in a good area to get to the entire city. Right on a MAX line and close to Starbucks and food. The direct web site for the hotel told me that the place was booked when I inquired, and when I informed the man at the front desk he said that the Management was aware of that and were not concerned.

The hotel was in a perfect place, the people were nice, but the atmosphere was that of a run down bowling alley (including the smell). One of the lamps in our room didn't even have a light bulb. The window was cracked and mended with tape. and the walls had holes in them...scary!!

This place isn't the worst/diviest place I've ever stayed at but I wouldn't book it in the future. The rooms are pretty broke down and the wifi is absolutely useless. I spoke to the front desk several times about the wifi but they just made excuses. The best thing about this hotel is that there is a MAX stop right outside so it's easy to get into downtown Portland from there. Next time I'll pay a little more and stay somewhere else.

This place is a dump. The location is very convenient but not convenient enough to warrant the sloppiness. I had never been to portland before so I decided to go with what was closets to the convention center. The portland transit system makes it so all the much nicer hotels across the river are almost as easy to get to. Stay somewhere in SW portland and you'll have easy train access to the convention center and that is where most of the restaurants and bars are as well.

Very loud (due to MAX right outside the window) and overall hotel condition is poor. If you're looking for a place close to the convention center, this works. I did feel the hotel was sanitary and safe, and would stay again.

This is the worst hotel I have stayed at in the"developed world". The only places I have visited that were worse were in rural Guatemala: Stained carpets & pillowcases, cigarette holes in the linen, stench of marijuana & Lysol in the hallways. People had signed blankets with Sharpie, there were holes on the blackout curtains and the best (worst) someone had screwed 3 Old English 40oz bottle caps in the ceiling.

For the location, it was great -- right by the Convention Center. So for it to have rooms available inexpensively, I was not expecting the best hotel. But it was OK. My only real gripe was that the Wi-Fi was intermittent. I did not want to have to leave the room (go to nearby Starbucks) to get the WiFi.

I arrived late in the evening before a conference the next day. I did not stay in this hotel, I moved to another immediately. I did not feel safe in the neighborhood or the hotel. It was not in good condition.

Comfy bed, great location right next to an easy max stop going right downtown, but everything else was pretty gross!

Housekeeping was good, staff friendly, and of course it's right next to the convention center. However room was very dingy, extremely dark, and next to a loud train line. Old CRT tvs, not very comfortable beds. Internet didn't work tho I was there for a tech conference for which that is typical. In retrospect I'd rather have walked a couple blocks from a nicer hotel.

It was very conveniently located and the price was right for what it is. They've obviously done what they can with this very old hotel, but it is old and dated. Make sure to request a room on the opposite side of the MAX line since the single pane glass door & windows don't keep the noise out and the train starts at 5:30 am and runs until midnight.

Staff was nice and friendly. Hotel was old and it showed its age, think its just time for a remodel, new beds and new pillows!

It was ok, nothing special. We just needed a place to sleep after clubbing. Great location, friendly and helpful staff. A wee bit on the dirty side, but for the price, it was just right!

The other patrons were rather noisy in the hallway. The train went right by my window. I thought I wouldn't get any sleep, but I kept the room fan on all night and it drowned out all the noise and worked out fine. It is not the most pleasing looking hotel but I found it suited my needs for my short stay. I wasn't in the room that much. It was clean inside, though my clothes that I had in my suitcase smelled like smoke when I got home though I was in a non-smoking room. These were clothes I hadn't worn!

This hotel is very old and not very well maintained. The carpets are stained, the walls have lots of mark on them. The pillows are AWFUL!! We stayed there because of the location. I would not every stay there again or recommend it to anyone.

The front desk associate was friendly but maid service was not. Late at night the hotel is used as a place to do drug deals etc. It is likely just the location but overall you get what you pay for.

although the room was clean the lobby, elevator and hallway had a very strong incense odor that made us headachy. We also had two "holds" put on our credit card, even though we booked and paid through hotels.com

Would not stay here again. The other hotel guests were some of the shadiest I've ever seen. Service was horribly slow checking in. The place was run down and dirty. The only redeeming feature was the price and cheap pet fee

The floor might have been as comfortable as the bed. The pillows were miniscule and the blankets had cigsrette burns even though it was a non-smoking room. The windows could not be opened. The bathtub had mold around the edges and we got two small towels for four people. The hallway smelled of marijuana and I don't even want to think about what the carpets stains were.

The location was good, however we were beside the train and it was loud all night.

Old but good enough. Felt like 'Grandma's place. You won't impress a date coming here, not that I care about that sort of thing.

If you are attending an event in the rose quarter, there are few hotels more conveniently located. This one was the cheapest.

Took 20 min. to check in. The room had mold on ceiling. The free breakfast advertised was not available. The furniture in the room was broken. The 2 queen beds were actually full sized. Location was the only thing this hotel had going for it

We had really helpful service, and the price was good for free wifi to be included, but the bed awful. It was so lopsided I felt like I was falling off of it all night. The parking lot was also completely full so we had to use nearby metered spaces. It was convenient to be so close to the convention center but I was embarrassed about the quality because I chose the place for my friend and I.

i dont really see why this hotel has gotten bad reviews. The room was clean, and for the price, was pretty nice. I dont know what people were expecting for the price, its obviously not the ritz, but it is two blocks from the rose garden, is clean, comfortable, and safe. If you are going to an event at the convention center or rose garden, amd are looking for reasonably priced accomodations, i would recomend this hotel. If you want something more upscale, then check out the crowne plaza.

not only was the room disgustingly dirty washcloth left from the last customer anyways and then after hotels.com booked me the room they were advertising the same room online for 20 dollars less a night not a happy customer

The hotel as a whole needs updating. If it was it would be very enjoyable and extremely close to the convention center. But in all, the condition was semi-dirty and fairly dated.

this was the most disgusting hotel i have ever stayed in. i seriously worried that the sheets were not clean. i know that its old but for $85.00 a night they can afford to fix it up a bit. everything smelled. everything was dirty. the shower and bathtub were rusty and moldy. i dont have anything nice to say except location, however i will research other hotels in the area before i will ever step foot in this one. btw it brought to mind what you would expect from a rent by the hour hotel

Yes the building is older but with that in mind it was clean, very spacious, very nice and helpful staff. We had a non smoking room. Funny thing, we were cold and turned up vent on the wall... That works air. Use the one behind curtains on the floor for heat. Toasty! Convenient location and loved Starbucks right across the street and restaurants too!

Nothing particularly bad, but nothing particularly good either. This is an old hotel that seems old. There comes a time when carpets and furniture need to be replaced, and a fresh coat of paint applied and this hotel has reached it. The bed was soft, the water hot. It met my needs so i was satisfied.

Check in went smoothly but nothing else did! Our room was dirty especialy the bathroom. The pillows were the size of a book, the thermostat didn't work. There weren't enough towels for three of us and when calling the front desk they stated understaffed and would have security bring them up in a while. The picture fell off the wall and it smelled like smoke.

Right in max line- is a plus! windows wont open- feels a bit stuffy and musty. Room was spacious, decent king bed and pillows, great bathroom counter space/ dressing area- full length mirror, iron and board. Also nice w/ kitchenette, micro/ fridge.

I have never complained about a hotel before but this place took the cake!When we opened the door the smell of the room rushed out at you and made you gag. The heat was left on so that made the smell worse. It was a combination of smoke, BO and what we later discovered was dried vomit. The room was filthy. dried food crusted on the tv and table and dried vomit on the carpet. Would of left if there were any other vacancies in the area but there weren't. Would never stay there again. It's such a great location across from the convention center I don't know why the owners don't take care of the place.

I've traveled to 13 countries and to about 25 cities here in the U.S. I stayed in so many hotels, this hotel is by far the dirtiest and the smelliest. I supposedly stayed in a no smoking section of the hotel, but I could smell cigarettes and marijuana coming from the halls or vents, into my room. People smoking in the staircases. A lot of shady activity in and around in the parking lot. I've seen females propping the emergency stairway exit open and let guys in ( you guess). The walls and the carpets are so dirty. The small sofa I had in my room looked very disgusting... The only good thing about this hotel is the convenient location. Other than that, your stay there will be a painful experience.

Sheets and pillows stained we ask for others and they were just as bad

While the room wasn't special and it smelled kinda funky, it was exactly what we needed. An affordable place to stay on new years that was near where we wanted to party. Another bonus I wasn't prepared for, it was nearby many restaurant options.
