The Westin Resort & Spa, Whistler - וויסטלר

HORRIBLE!!when we first arrived no one helped us with our luggage. The front desk lady was extremely rude to both me and my boyfriend. She even said "Jesus Christ" under her breath at us for asking a simple question. The was a dance competition going on so there were a bunch of teenager running atround like wild geese. The pool was suppose to be adults only after 9pm, finally thought we could have some peace and quiet, noope!! they told us they couldnt do anything about it. WE WILL NEVER BE RETURNING!!

Overall great stay at this Westin Whistler. The room was cozy and comfortable. The food at the on site restaurant was on par. Relatively good view (8th floor east). Enjoyed being able to walk from resort to village for everything. Some things to consider - although if you're staying at Westin, cost is not typically a major concern but some of the fees were a bit over the top (on site restaurant, room service, parking, movies and snack charges). 1 bedroom suite had queen... so close to walls we had to walk sideways to navigate around bed. Found and killed 4 large ants wandering the room. Room was so warm we had to open windows to maintain comfortable temperature. Some minor mildew in bathroom. Noise was minor (could hear conversations through walls and some kids running on floor above. If there is a concert at the ski lift, you will hear it. Spa was super, we had couples massage and milk bath. Pool a bit small, especially with kids - they need ample room to play. Indoor-outdoor pool was a cool feature. Since we were on the east wing (better view?) it felt a little awkward walking to spa/pool in robe passing by the conference rooms. Service was on par for a Westin.

Loved it! So happy we stayed there with the great amenities, as it rained on Friday and Saturday. We used the great workout and pool facilities...loved. The staff were great and we were so happy to have a later checkout, so we could change after doing some early skiing.LOVED it!

Very easy to access to the ski lifts. They have a valet which will take your skis at the bottom of the mountain which is very nice. The biggest negative is you kind of feel like you are being nickel and dimed for everything after paying so much to stay there. Oh, and the shower door in our room leaked water everywhere.

Everything was first class. The staff was amazing and the hotel is wonderful.

My mother, daughter and myself went to Whistler for a long weekend. We reserved a 2 bedroom unit. The unit we were given was at the far end of the east tower. Although it was on the 8th floor we were at ground level. The balcony off the living room was easily accessible from the trails and had no railing around it. The balcony off the bedroom was so dark and blocked in by the hill that I would never use it. Only one of the two locks on the patio door worked. The unit was so dark and had such a poor view that we spent as little time as possible in it. Even though we had the kitchen a living area, we did not spend any time here. As we were ground floor with easy access to our balcony I did not feel safe having my 9 year old daughter sleep on the sofa bed in the livingroom, so she shared a bed with me. When I told a staff member about my concerns she just agreed that it was a dark area of the hotel and that yes it was ground level. The hotel was not full and I do not know why they would give 3 women this room. With all the other choices at Whistler I would not stay here again nor would I recommend the hotel.

Nice hotel. Having the suite next to mine full of screaming young kids in the early morning kind of ruined the experience for me as I wanted and needed sleep.

Great service, great room, great town! Very much enjoyed my stay and will book with the westin again :)

Jeff at the Aubergine (sp?) was terrific.

Absolutely LOVED our stay and would stay here again in a heartbeat. The hotel is beautiful and very clean. Nice pool, very comfy beds and fabulous location close to everything Whistler village has to offer. Only complaint was that it was too warm in the room at night. Everything else was fabulous :)

This was our first trip to Whistler and sadly the hotel was very disappointing. We arrived at 3:30pm and were told that our room would be ready shortly and that the hotel has a guaranteed 4pm check-in time (this was repeated to us numerous times). We were asked to leave our cell number and they would call us if the room was ready before 4pm; so we did. At 4:15pm I went up to the desk and was told that they had to check if the room was ready and they would bring my key over to me. At 5:15pm we still did not see anyone so went back up to the desk where the manager apologized and said they would bring up breakfast vouchers as a way of apologizing to us. By the time I woke up in the morning the only thing that was dropped off for us was a bill for the parking. After my shower in the morning I reached for a towel under the sink and there was an empty alcohol bottle under my towel. Although Whistler was very beautiful I feel that with this experience I am in no rush to return.

Got ourselves a vaulted ceiling room on the top floor - we had a great time, although we wish that there were later hours for the hot tub/pool. Parking is a bit pricey (30 CAD/night), but overall we were really happy.

We were in need of a one night get-away as we hadn't been away all summer as a family. The staff were courteous and we enjoyed ourselves immensely. The room rate was a bit high but other than that, it was a great get-away.

Great proximity to main village, beautiful hotel.

Very nice room - comfortable bed, nice bathroom with soaking tub and separate shower, plus "full" kitchen. Pool small but big enough with a perfect steam room in the men's locker room. Restaurant food and service exeplary! Two minute walk to the gondola.

Westin Whistler Oh Yah! Awesome hotel. Dont limit yourself to the hotel dinning though ........... there is so much else to experience in the village.

It was fine but our room did not have a functioning coffeepot so the morning was hard! Lovely bed and linens. Staff very friendly.

Lovely hotel,we had a room overlooking the pool, which I believe is the quieter side. I think it's a great location, with secure bike storage!! Very nice pool and gym, and both restaurants have great food! We had a couple small maintenance issues with our room that were dealt with very quickly and politely! My only complaint was the $30. a night parking fee.

Everything about the Westin is convenient, wether your stay is for skiing, bike riding or golf. The restaurants are great. The pool area has alot of space for relaxing.

I LOVED THE SPA.HOWEVER THE ONLY COMPLAINT IS 30. FOR PARKING.I DID NOT PARK IN 1 LANE BECAUSE MY PARTNER FELT SICK AND I RUSHED HER TO BE TREATED

Easy check and chose to upgrade room to allow more space for the three of us as there were 2 adults and teenager.Reasonable charge. kitchen area had oven, hob and microwave so 'inroom'' dinning not a problem.Pool rather small but other leisure facilities were excellent. Hotel is very well located at one end of Whistler Village. Simply put we would return without hesitation so if looking for a summer or winter activity base this ticked all the boxes for us.

The hotel itself and amenities were gorgeous and we had a great stay. However, upon booking we had requested our 2 rooms be side-by-side and when checking in we discovered they were not. When asked if there was anything they could do to accommodate us the answer was no because we booked through hotels.com and not the hotel directly. Overall, I found the majority of the staff unpleasant and not very accommodating.

The front desk forgot to add my husband's name as I requested, shower head was old and weak. Room was very small..

Loved it. Great location, walking distance to entire village and mountain resort. Pool could use an update.

very comfortable and great bed modern nice to have a kitchen unit but the only thing i forgot to mention is one of the burners didn't work on the stove. great shower

I did not like the layout of the room. The furniture was cheaply made and cracked against the wall when you tried to open the doors. The shower was too small. It has no fung shuay. For a suite I felt cramped because it was not open.

Our stay was fantastic, location to restaurants and mountain is outstanding, staff is friendly and hotel is very clean and comfortable....

Two bedroom suites were a great deal! Hotel rooms have a full kitchen. The pool and fitness center were a bit small for the size of the hotel.
