Hotel is pleasant, close to shopping mall and beach. Room was small, air conditioner was not working well and the TV needs to be updated (too small and not flat screen!) The picture shown is misleading as we were given an old, not modern room.

We stayed here due to the late arrival of our flight and the need for a one night stay before our condo was ready . It was acceptable for such a purpose . The rooms were smaller than any hotel I have ever stayed at yet it was clean. The door was shabby with a very loud window air conditioner. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall it served our purpose.

older, needs some updating and bigger rooms. Parking should be free. Nicer hotels than this, offer free parking.

Room was basic -good for a one night stay, staff was friendly & very helpful-quick check in. Room is a bit run down but clean-bed was comfy & had black out curtains & A/c

This seems to be the hotel where the locals stay when they go on vacation. Kahului is the commercial center of the island- not the tourist destination. It was convenient that everything is a short drive: Lahaina is ~45 min, Paia ~10, Maalaea ~10 min, but is not the nice, resort you may have in mind. The hotel is not in the best condition and the shower was small (and had mold). It is fine if you aren't planning on spending a lot of time in the hotel. There is wifi, but the connection was slow.

Room was clean and simple. Hotel very dated and shabby. No lounge and no decent restaurant. (The breakfast and dinner buffets were not the slightest bit appetizing) Place on Friday night featured a loud 80's band for locals. Security very heavy in parking lot which gave pause for one's safety. Would not return.

This is an older hotel that has made some upgrades. The ocean view was nice and the reception / lobby area was welcoming. The rooms were clean.

Don't let the pics fool you. This is one of Maiu's old hotels. The rooms are more like motel rooms. The A/C unit is an old school wall unit. The carpet looks 10 years old and smells like it too. The only thing good about this Hotel is the location and price, you get what you pay for. It's close to the airport so we checked out @ 8am and ran to the airport 8 hours before our flight departure.

The hotel was in a decent location and the price was right and it was a good place to lie down at night. We did the road to Hana one morning and sunrise on Haleakala the next and the hotel was a good starting point for both. The rooms were a little dated and small but the bed was comfy so that is all that was needed. My only complaint was the AC unit was loud and it woke me up a couple of times when it went into high gear.

Easy to return to from South & West sides of the Island, and the North side & Hana Hwy.

I also stayed at Maui Seaside Hotel, next to Maui Beach hotel. The staff is much friendlier and unlike Maui Beach hotel, computer usage is free. Seaside even suggested we can come back for shower in their Hospitality Room on the same day if we were to go to the beach after check-out. Seaside is not as updated as Beach but the room is much larger. I definitely recommend Maui Seaside Hotel.

Great location if you want to rent car and tour around. The location is not close to the better beaches. The hotel is fine with no concerns about cleanliness,service or condition. There are limited restaurant services so most of the time we ate out. The location is adjacent to a mall if you want to do some shopping.

only an overnight and morning breakfast. lst time in area and all was excellent.

I would stay here again. The price of the breakfast buffet and dinner buffet was very expensive.

We liked everything about our stay at the Maui Beach Hotel. The room rate changed based on occupancy and we wished we could've had the lower rate for the duration of our stay but we liked it so we extended our stay anyway. We stayed in a standard, basic room with a nice refrigerator. The shower was a stall with a door that did not leak. It had good pressure, the water was hot, the bed was comfy, and the room was clean. It would've been nice if the restaurant were open more days and for longer hours, and if we could've had coffee during the day, but the hotel is close to so many restaurants that it didn't matter. we would stay again.

Convenient shuttle service to/from the airport and even to some local areas. Room was small, but had a refrigerator and balcony. Was comfortable and overlooked the grounds and courtyard. Nearby Shopping Mall for food and access to public transportation, which we used and enjoyed for Island sightseeing (a real bargain!). A short distance the other direction has food, Whole Food Market, etc. Easy walking location.

Really comfy beds. Yummy breakfast buffet. Perfect to have shuttle pick up from Airport and drop off next day at rental car company.

Noisy if you are in the upgraded room particularly if you are near the maintainance building because of the workers in the am. If you are an early riser would not be a problem .

Would definitely stay there again . Location is ideal . Central to whatever direction you choose to be in Maui. Reasonable rate and close to all amenities. Room clean and comfortable . The only drawback to our room which was the upgraded room with a ocean view was that it was noisy about 6-8 am because of the delivery trucks or the maintainance building which was very close. The workers were noisy etc. If you are an early riser , this would not be an issue . Enjoy

We stayed at the Maui Beach because it was close to the airport and it was very late at night and wanted a place to crash. They are in the middle of refurbishing all the rooms with new bathrooms. They had also replaced the mattresses and the bed was very comfortable. It was quiet so we could get the sleep that we much needed. The staff at the desk were pleasant and efficient. The property does have lovely views of the ocean out back. While this is not a high end island resort, it is a comfortable, clean, friendly place to stay.

Restaurant is expensive, but plenty of eating places nearby.

A bit outdated, but a good value for the price.

the service and beds were good, its just a really old hotel that needs a renovation. Its across from the mall which was a plus for last minute shopping.

Very satisfied with the room. Hand soap, body soap, and two in one shampoo was appreciated -- dispensers for each were conveniently located -- no messy bottles to contend with. It was very clean and must have been a renovated room as the bathroom sink was spotless, as was the bathtub and its walls.We provided our own one-cup coffee maker, so our morning coffee needs were met. The room was spacious enough and can see why only two full beds were in the deluxe room, rather than two Queen sized beds that we would have preferred but, we did just fine. The free laundry room facilities were a plus. The staff, from the front desk to the housekeepers were friendly and efficient. No long lines. Quiet.

Hotel staff were very friendly and courteous, hotel is on the older side, but very clean. the only downside was our room was by a busy road.

Staying here is more about location. 1. They have a weird exit route to get to the street - there isnt one, you have to walk onto the driveway or break between the bushes. 2. Its in a good spot because easy walk to the MALL where lots of good shops and local food. 3. Great view of the water and mountains. 4. Nice lawn and beach front area to hang out and relax. Gazeebo is cool. 5. the rooms are nothing special. very small and for the so called deluxe I got (2 double beds with semi view). 6. quick access to airport, about a 10 min ride, and they provide shuttle service. Thats all I have to say.

The hotel was reasonably priced and clean. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. I missed having a coffee pot in the room and the placement of the pool was not attractive - upstairs with fake grass in a walled enclosure. The restaurant served mainly buffet style meals - not something I would want. Considering the location on the harbor, it was very pleasant with a protected small beach and the possibility of walks along the water. The surrounding are was a bit commercial - strip malls, etc., with not too many restaurant options.

Good place to stay for Maui Marathon, close to the starting point

The conoissier was very helpful. The hotel is old but you receive the value for your money. Located close to mall. Parking on weekends could be difficult. Overall a good stay for value.

The hotel was sub-standard. The room we were supposed to get wasn't ready when we arrived so they asked us if we minded if they upgraded us to a larger room with full ocean view. To which we agreed. However when entering the room we noticed a rather repulsive musty smell. Also the couch in the room was filthy. The bathroom was semi-clean,with multiple spots on the mirrors. We actually had to request housekeeping to come a clean the room after the first nights stay at 4pm in the afternoon. I did finally called hotels.com to ask if they could move us to another hotel, but after speaking with them we decided since the beds were clean and we only had 2 more nights before leaving to go back to NY we would tough it out. Overall, not such a pleasant stay. No reflection on hotels.com (I think....?)

This is where the locals stay when they "go neighbor island." There were a lot of construction guys, business people and families at the hotel. It's clean and neat and the front desk staff is really sweet. Unless you are there on the weekend, there's no food at the hotel. But it's right across the street from several eating places and there are two large shopping centers within safe walking distance. It would have been nice to have a coffee pot in the room, but for the price I didn't expect much. They do pay attention to safety - you need a room key to access the rooms from any of the multiple doors. Parking is ample and the grassy area between the hotel wings is good for kids to play. The pool is on the roof and isn't large, but it's clean and well kept. I lived in Hawaii for many years and have stayed at this property before. It looks exactly the same as it did 25 years ago. They've managed it well. If you are looking for fancy, or for room service, or a Hawaiiana experience, this isn't your hotel. But the price is excellent, the rooms are clean, and who stays all day at their hotel when they visit Hawaii? Locals stay here because we have family and friends and we go hang out with them while getting a good deal on a room.

Convenient to airport, good breakfast buffet. Not a place to stay for entire holiday. No wifi in rooms, a negative.

It is conveniently located near the airport. The airport shuttle is an important service. The buffet breakfast was wonderful and economical.

Very convenient location for business on the Kahului side. Friendky staff and restaurant is good. Rooms were kinda small, but beds comfortable, clean and bathroom was nice. Will definitely stay there again as it was an excellent value.

I choose Maui Beach because of the convenience and price. This is not a high end hotel and very basic. Could use some improved beds...can feel the springs in the mattress
