We stayed in a condo because the hotel was full. It was dark, drab and well worn. The resort as a whole was pretty run down. We won't be back.

We had the most wonderful time in the most wonderful place: Two oceanfront balconies, the moon rising over the water, an ocean breeze, beautiful and modern interior designs, a fully stocked kitchen, a short walk to the beach, ample parking, lots of fun and lots of rest. We never heard a sound from the folks on either side. I will ask for the same condo next year!

My wife and I stayed at the Boardwalk Inn on Friday, May 31 to celebrate our first anniversary. It was a last minute trip that I booked at Hotels.com. We spent several days at Wild Dunes in June 2012 for our honeymoon. I would like to recognize the outstanding service and friendly staff we encountered on our most recent stay. When we checked in, the two young ladies at the desk asked us what brought us to Wild Dunes. We told them it was our anniversary. Our room was not quite ready, so we walked down to the Grand Pavilion. When we came back about 10 minutes later, our room was ready and they gave us a bag that included a bottle of champagne and some Red Velvet cake. It was a very thoughtful gesture. My wife and I were impressed with how genuinely friendly all the staff was, especially the young men who worked at the bell/valet station. Today, we encounter so many rude or oblivious young people in other situations. It was refreshing to be greeted with a smile and warm words. It made us feel that our presence at Wild Dunes was appreciated. The resort is beautiful. There are miles of walking and biking paths. The beach is great. The resort complex is a wonderful place to walk around. We love the resort and will definitely be back.

The resort has everything a family could want in one location. We couldn't take advantage of everything the resort had to offer. The first room they gave us had a really funky odor like wet dog, but they did give us a new room thank goodness. The restaurants on site, food was mediocre and slightly high priced but you expect this at a resort that is isolated from competition. at least there were was lots of options including family friendly options. Overall it was a great stay!

The location of the resort was perfect! The only inconvenience we faced was the lack of parking, which wouldn't have been an issue had we gotten a beach side condo. The transportation services made up for the lack of parking, however. The room was very clean and included more than enough to provide us with the most comfortable stay possible. There were many things to do, which the resort provided, and the service was always superior. If I ever have an option of staying at the Wild Dunes Resort again, I will not pass it up!

Everything was fantastic; location, swimming pools, restaurants and the gorgeous surroundings. Only down side there are no hot tubs.

The Inn was conveniently located, great for a girls trip, couples or families! Farther from charleston than I realized but it was fine to go into city for just dinners and stuff. Would go back!

Initially we were booked in the mariners walk section of Wild Dunes on the beach. When we got to the unit it was clean but very weary!! I couldn't picture staying there even though the views and proximity to the beach where amazing. We were able to change to a modern villa in the villages that was further fom the beah but was more to our taste. The short walk to the boardwalk and beach were not a problem from this unit. The staff were all friendly and helpful.

The resort exceeded our expectations way more than we expected! The staff always stood ready to help in any way. The resort is nicley kept and clean. Thank you for making our stay relaxing and unforgetable.

Very nice. Impressive size for the price. We are from San Diego, but will stay here again the next time we find ourselves in the beautiful Carolina's.

Wild Dunes offers comfort and affordability compared with other hotels in the area that are just not as nice. We enjoyed our stay and will be back!

I found my deal on hotels.com by sheer luck. Thank GOD! Beautiful rooms nicer than most peoples apartments the bathrooms are to die for. I would definitely stay here again although it seems to be hard to get a deal on it. Only two complaints were parking and my mattress was hard as a rock lol. Everything else was fantastic.

To be fair, we stayed overnight but kept saying it would be so nice to come back and stay a while. We stayed overnight and there was an awful rainstorm, only managed to enjoy the beach for a little while, but there is a cute boardwalk condo setting that leads to the beach that was cute and great for families. I gave it a 3/5 only because I didn't experience enough to give it a higher or lower scoring but from what I had experienced it was a 3.

Resort was great and staff was very friendly. However we got locked out of our unit 3 times because our key cards (all 6 of them) stopped working multiple times. Not acceptable with 4 kids along.

This resort is well maintained with great, friendly staff. They provide lots of activities for the kids. Only complaint is that much of the family activities cost in addition to the already costly rooms.

We went for a weekend romantic getaway. The original condo assigned to us was old and outdated but it was ocean front. We went back to the check in counter because I originally booked a king size bed and the ocean front was not. Michael hooked us up with a studio in the village. That room was everything we had I visioned!! The resort has everything and is not too overpriced in restaurants/shops. We are going back in July!!! It really doesn't matter if its not ocean front bc the whole resort is beautiful

I was visiting Charleston with my girlfriend and later other family joined. Wild Dunes is a very nice resort and there are lots of nice amenities. We stayed in one of the many homes and it was very clean and comfortable except for the beds. They were hard for my taste. The gym was great and they had several pools and a few restaurants, which helps because they are a good twenty minutes from downtown Charleston. Sometimes the staff seemed uninformed about questions a guest might have. However I would go back and probably stay in a different property to compare price and value.

We were expecting a hotel room and actually had a full condo on the beach! It was beautiful. I only wish we could have stayed longer! The 4 for the "convenience" was because we had a bit of a hard time finding where to check it. Call. It was easy once we talked to someone.

We rented a condo on the beach with ocean view. The condo was nice apart from the beds that were extremely uncomfortable.

The staff was very friendly and the rooms were very clean. The views were nice and the beach and pools were right in front of our room. Wish the weather was warmer but otherwise it was great!

Very relaxing stay. Attended a wedding which the events team and F&B handled very well. Service was overall good, although the housekeeping staff had a hard time understanding our needs despite multiple attempts to explain ourselves. Location of resort makes it really difficult for cell coverage - I had no service most of the time - but this makes it a great place to go if you really want to get away. The walls were thin in The Village and we could hear sounds easily in the hall from our living room area. Did not prevent some good rest and relaxation though.

Above and beyond what we had expected. Ocean view was spectacular from our condo! Loved the whole Charleston experience. Clean, beautiful city. Overall 4+ stars

It's a beautiful place and a wonderful walking / bike trail. Also very easy access to the beach. We were there on the off season so it was reasonably priced.

The carpet in the bedrooms and the upholstery of the living room furniture need to be cleaned....desperately (Room 302G - A 2 bedroom condo in Village Gardens. Otherwise, awesome! We stayed here 2 years ago and had no complaints at all. They have added another pool outside the Village Gardens which has a zero entry...can't wait to try that out when it's warmer!

Very nice place to stay. Close enough to Charleston and right at the beach. We will stay here again in the future!

We had a wonderful time at the resort. The grounds are beautiful, the staff were very accommodating, and the room was lovely. While the weather was not as cooperative as we would have liked, we enjoyed the stay immensely and plan on returning.

We were very pleased with every aspect of our meal except for one: our dinner! I mean everyone treated us like royalty and like VIP's while we were there. The problems with our dining experience were as follows: Not enough places to choose from, called and got a reservation for first available and told it would be 45 minutes, waited at least 30 minutes after that and heard others complaining about the same, heard another couple order 3 things that they came back and told they were out, limited selection and I thought it was very over priced, and much of our food tasted bad with a strange smell/after taste. Got to the restaurant at 8 and left finally at 10:30.

This was my best vacation thus far. The scenery was so beautiful, everything was clean and well maintained. I recommend tbis resort to anyone wanting to do a romantic getaway. I give Wild Dunes a 10 thumbs up, if i had 8 more!!

The location and facility are very nice. Th biggest problem we had was that my wife and I arrived on a Friday for a nice, romantic 3-day weekend. The reservation we made said we would receive a King bed, however, we not only got a room with two doubles, but it was in the corner on the first floor with essentially no view. All of this is fine if the hotel was completely booked, however, the parking lot was not full, and we never encountered lines--we did not believe that the hotel was so crowded that we should not have received a much nicer room. At least one that fulfilled the promise of the original booking.

Fabulous! My daughter and I were looking for an inviting place to relax and found it. The resort, the staff and a great beach combined to meet and exceed my expectations. I will be returning to Wild Dunes as soon as possible.

A nice hotel on the beach with wonderful restaurants and amenities. Convenient to Charleston but far away from the hustle and bustle.

Personable, attentive service; kind, courteous employees; and a wonderful place to stay!

We loved this place. We will be back for seconds. Extremely clean and well cared for. The staffs hospitality was genuine and appreciated. Can't wait to go back!

Wonderful experience at this upscale resort hotel. During the off-season, it was reasonably priced and still offered a quality restaurant at reasonable prices. Its "Southern Breakfast" was the best breakfast that I've had in years.

We stayed at The villages...one of apparently several different style lodgings available...originally looked at a one bedroom but upgraded to a one bedroom suite for not much more and could not have been more impressed. The front room and kitchen areas were nicely furnished with granite counters, a large flat screen and fully equipped kitchen...bathroom was spacious with deep soaking tub and seperate glass enclosed shower. We plan to make this spot a habit for Charleston area visits

Enjoyed stay but was disappointed to find that the restaurants, although delicious, have minimal to no vegetarian options.

Great resort. My family enjoyed everything. The staff was exceptional and always polite and helpfull

I ask maid to leave cream but she did not so I had to request it from room service.

Great location right on the ocean beach. Very peaceful and quiet. Buy your food and drinks at Publix Grocery on the way to Wild Dunes.
