Best Western Premier Hotel Sant'Elena - ונציה

צוות המלון היה מעולה. ארוחת הבוקר מעולה. המיקום בקרבת תחנת המעבורת היה מושלם. חדרים ושירות טובים מאוד. אינטרנט אלחוטי עבד טוב מאוד. אין תלונות.

המלון היה במרחק קצר מכל ההמולה של מרכז ונציה. אווירה ושירות חדישים ונפלאים.

המלון הזה נהדר. הייתי שוהה כאן שוב. קרוב להכל והאוטובוס הצף ממש ליד המלון. הם מציעים את ארוחת הבוקר הטובה ביותר שמלון יכול להציע. אני מטייל כל הזמן וארוחת הבוקר שלהם היא מדהימה.

המלון היה מטרים ספורים מתחנת האוטובוס הצף שמגיע לחלקים שונים בונציה. השירות היה נהדר ונהנינו מארוחת הבוקר. הצוות ידידותי אך לא מדבר ממש אנגלית. אנחנו לא מדברים איטלקית אבל הצלחנו לתקשר. אהבתי את מיקום המלון כי הוא היה שקט, הרחק מהאזור המסחרי אבל קרוב למסעדות ברגל או בסירה ממונעת. נהנינו מונציה בגדול!

המלון נמצא במקום שקט בוונציה על נתיב מספר אחד של המעבורת. רעיון טוב לקנות כרטיסיה למעבורת עבור כל השעות שתהיו שם. מזנון ארוחת בוקר, הכלול במחיר, מצוין. גם האוכל בארוחת הערב היה טעים.

המלון רחוק מכל ההמולה והתיירים. זה לוקח בערך 30 דקות להגיע לתחנת הרכבת ולכל האתרים בעיר. אם אתם רוצים לראות עצים ודשא ירוק ולהתרחק מהתיירים, זה מקום טוב בשבילכם. האוכל והשירות טובים אבל הדרך שבה האורות עובדים במבלבלת. אין הרבה מבחר של מסעדות. אהבתי שהיה אינטרנט חינמי 24 שעות ביממה.

מלון St. Elena נמצא בשכונת מגורים שקטה ונעימה, קרוב לפארק, ובערך 20 דקות הליכה מכיכר סן מרקו. אפשר בקלות להגיע לתחנת המעבורת או מונית/סירת מים מבלי לנווט בין הגשרים. החדר היה גדול ונקי אבל אפשר היה להחליף את המזרון. מזנון ארוחת בוקר נפלא עם מבחר מאכלים קרים וחמים. מקום טוב לשהות בו קרוב ללב ונציה אבל עדיין רחוק מהקהלים.

החדר היה מעולה (גדול, נקי, עכשווי) מזנון ארוחת הבוקר הכלול במחיר היה טעים מאוד, והצוות היה מאוד נחמד. רק תוודאו שאתם לא מגיעים לוונציה כשנהגי המעבורות בשביתה בגלל שקשה מאוד לסחוב את המזוודות למלון מרוחק זה. חוץ מזה, תחנת המעבורת נמצאת מרחק רחוב אחד מהמלון ומאוד נגישה. בתחילת הטיול שלנו הינו כבר בוונציה ואז שהינו באזור אחר בעיר, ולמרות שהיה נחמד, במלון זה יכולנו להשקיף על החיים האמתיים של תושבי ונציה באזור שהיה שקט ולא כל כך תיירותי. היה בקרבת מקום מעין בנק של מכונות ממתקים (BTW) שפתוח 24 שעות אם פתאום תפס אותנו הרעב באמצע הלילה. הוא ממקום בפארק שבין תחנת המעבורת למלון. תיהנו!

זה מלון 4 כוכבים ב-St. Elena שהוא בעצם רק 3 כוכבים בגלל גודלו. המלון אינו חדש כפי שמלונות 4 כוכבים אמורים להיות, הגינה והמלון צריכים להיות במצב טוב יותר כדי לקבל דירוג של 4 כוכבים. החיסרון העיקרי היה המזגן שכל הזמן התקלקל, והם לא יכלו לעשות שום דבר בנידון מלבד לחכות לחשמלאי שיבוא לתקן אותו...אם הוא בכלל יגיע. בעיית המיזוג הייתה בכל המלון. מסעדת המלון הייתה סגורה מארוחת הבוקר ועד ארוחת הערב. המקרר הקטן שלנו היה נעול. לא היה אינטרנט בחדרים, רק בלובי. ארוחת הבוקר הייתה טובה, והמיקום היה טוב אם לא רוצים להיתקל בתיירים.

הדבר שהכי אהבנו במלון היה המיקום שלו. זה מספיק רחוק מוונציה כך שאפשר להתרחק מהתיירים הרבים שיש בוונציה בקיץ. הוא ממוקם באזור מגורים. לא קורה הרבה באזור זה אבל זו הליכה קלה ברגל לכל המקומות. המלון נועד בעיקר לקבוצות תיירים כך שצוות המלון לא נותן שירות אישי. חלק מהצוות היה קר ולא ידידותי. החדרים נקיים, נוחים ומרווחים.

This hotel in Venice was excellent. It is three water taxi stops from the main section of Venice. That shouldn't bother anyone though, as the ferries come every 7 minutes, and it is only about a 7 minute ride. It is literally a one minute walk from the water ferry station. It is also in an extremely quiet section of Venice..slept with windows open, and didn't hear a sound. Rooms were great size, and bathrooms excellent. Excellent hot water and water pressure. Beds were comfortable. Staff was great. I would highly recommend this hotel, and stay again.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Hotel Sant Elena. Despite not being quite in the Center of Venice, it is an easy walk or short vaparetto from the main sites, and benefits from well appointed and sized rooms, especially for Venice The staff were courteous and helpful at all times. We would definitely stay here again!

Staff very friendly and helpful. Great Breakfast, nice and quiet location away from all the tourist frenzy, yet a just a brief and lovely walk to get to all the hotspots! Very close to the water bus stop as well.

The hotel was just beautiful,clean,convenient to the major sights, especially if you use the ferry pass. The staff were very helpful and very welcoming on arrival. I had a fantastic stay at this hotel, would recommend staying here to all.

Very nice hotel. The staff was quite friendly & helpful. Loved the surrounding area & the beautiful park behind the hotel. Very close to the Water Taxi terminal. Would strongly suggest to stay in this hotel if you like a peaceful getaway !!

This hotel is wonderful and I highly recommend. It is not located in the middle of the tourist area but I think that is what makes it so wonderful as you can spend the day/eve in the hustle of the tourist areas then retreat to this quiet area. It is so convenient to the vaporetto boats that come and go frequently. The hotel is nice, rooms are spacious, modern and clean, the staff is super nice and it is very English/American friendly. There is a restaurant on site and a few small convienence stores and restaurants within blocks. It is near a beautiful park and is so nice and quiet - what a difference from Saint Marks Square. They have a wonderful buffet breakfast too :-)

It's is in a super quiet residential area. The water bus is only about 150 yards away and you can get anywhere you need to easily. We were glad we stayed out Side the tourist area which is very busy and noisy. It is an enjoyable 15-20 min walk to St. Mark's square. Get the water taxi ticket that includes the grand canal tour for an extra 10 Euro. You can but an unlimited ride water bus pass in different increments of time, very hand with the location of this hotel. Seems out if the way at first but once you understand the system, it isa great place to stay and be able to hear a pin drop after the hustle and bustle of the tourist areas. My wife and I were convinced that it would be our destination to stay next time we get to Venice. Note a few small places to get a drink, coffee or pizza, etc... But if you want a full meal, do that in one of the more tourist areas before getting back th the hotel. Breakfast was included and acceptable. We did not have other meals there as we wanted to explore the offerings in othe parts of Venice.

The hotel is a very nice hotel. The main issue that I had is that there was no hot water our first morning. I understand that these things happen, but there was no recourse from the staff - kind of like 'too bad'. Additionally, the staff told us that we needed one and a half hours to get to the airport, when in fact it took almost 2 and a half becuase we rode around on the airport shuttle for amost an hour before going to the airport. We almost missed our flight.

Hotel was pretty nice and had a good breakfast and free wifi. Area was far from San Marco, but close to water bus stop and was a really cool, local neighborhood / park that most tourists never see. Would definitely stay there again!

The hotel is very conveniently located in a very quiet neighbourhood. Water buses to all the must see places are less than 5 minutes away on foot. St Marks Square is an easy stroll of 20 minutes or so on the the flat. The Sant'Elena hotel is well maintained and blissfully quiet. Breakfasts were well presented and had plenty of variety to suit all tastes. Dinner at the hotel was quite pricey but the quality was great. Our only slight disappointment was that our ground floor room had no outlook and fairly high window sills so it was a bit cell-like. However it was very clean and had plenty of provisions. We would definitely ask for upper room or one facing the garden area if we returned for a future stay. All round the stay at the Sant'Elena pretty much met all of our quality expectations and we would definitely return there on a future short break.

Pros: Beautiful environment in hotel, tropical feel. Amazing breakfast hot food and continental, great variety, and long breakfast time 7-11am. Good price for location and comfort. Clean, spacious room, free WiFi, close to Lido. Free A/C, nice views, wood floors, great tv, very close to vaperetto stop. Cons: though beautiful bathroom, shower leaks and all floor gets flooded but you get a lot of towels, bed not too comfy as it is too soft, elevator small, bellhop takes your room key and luggage in separate elevator and takes you to room and teaches you how to use your room key and open windows and waits for tip...WITHOUT a smile. Just saying.

We were quite satisfied with the Best Western St. Elena Hotel. The Jr. Suite we stayed in had a nice view of the courtyard, was very clean, modern, quiet, and newly renovated. The bed was very comfortable. The A/C was quiet and worked quite well. The bathroom was large and had modern fixtures. The shower was a bit too small, but had ample hot water and good water pressure. The hotel is located in a residential neighborhood, a 30 minute walk from Piazza San Marco. The walk is pleasant, except for the intense summer heat. There is a water taxi station very close to the hotel. Also, a few neighborhood cafes and a vending maching for water, drinks and snacks is close by. Nightly rates are very reasonable. Highly recommend...

We had a fab few days in Venice. The hotel was just outside the centre so it was a quiet escape from the hussle of the city. It was so easy to jump on the waterbus which is about a one minute walk away or a ten minute walk to the centre.

Stay was great, but short. Second stop past plaza, with nice walk if you didn't wish to take water taxi. In Italian neiborhood away from tourist area. Great breakfast in am. Would definitely recommend. Nice little park nearby for out son.

At first we were concerned about the distance from San Marco and surrounding attractions, however, we quickly realized how nice it was to have a hotel away from the crowds. The hotel was close to St. Elena vaporetto station and was very easy to find. The hotel and neighborhood was quiet. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful.

This is a great hotel. Unfortunately I was there 1 week before the A/C was turned on and it was a bit muggy, that's the only thing that brought down the rating from excellent. The staff was incredible, some of the most helpful I found in all of Italy. The location is outside of Venice in a nice area with trees and locals. Being outside of the main city is no problem though - the vaporrato stop is right there and the walk to the center of the city is lovely and only takes about 15 minutes. Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable, breakfast was good.

We couldn't have been happier with our choice of hotels! The hotel is in a quite residental area, with a lovely park. It is only a few boat stops away from all the action and noise of St Marks Square. We stayed in a deluxe room. It was roomy and modern. Love, love , loved it!

Nice 10 minute Vaporetto-ride to Piazza San Marco. Comfortable hotel with good breakfast. That is apart from the orange juice, but the cakes compensate for it. Staff was friendly, although they enjoyed smoking in front of the entrance.

This hotel is in an excellent position withing a few minutes of a vaparetto stop. The boat takes about five minutes to St Marks Square and you can walk it in about 20 minutes. The hotel is in a quiet area and is very clean and comfortable with a good breakfast. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The only drawback is that a number of groups use the hotel and breakfast needs to be times so as not to go in at the same time as a group but that is not difficult. An excellent hotel and I would recommend it to anybody.

Breakfast was delicious, lots of choices and pleasant to eat outside on their patio.

Must stay on water taxi until 3 stops after st marks. Should drop you 2 quick comfortable, short blocks from hotel located a 100 or so steps from park and waterfront. A nice haven recovery place to be after each day's adventures. Free internet is included with 2 stations. Breakfast terrific and don't miss opportunity to take in the nice courtyard eating area. Dinner there is pricey (but same with all of Italy) and nothing special. A few local small restaurants priced a bit more reasonable are nearby that take credit cards as well as neighborhood convenient store with snack foods available throughout the day with dinning options. Can have front desk coordinate private taxi to return to train/bus station area, BUT make sure driver knows he/she must take you all the way to final destination. Be prepared for little interaction with driver and their being constantly on cell phones. Can get free private taxi to one of Murano glass factory with demo of glass making there, but be ready for some sales pressure. Public taxis are available to and from there as well. Just a terrific spot -trees and uncrowded walkways. Do at least one walk from here to St. Marks along waterway and over some not so crowded bridges..delightful. Highly recommended place to stay once you get here. Be ready to have to wheel your luggage a bit from drop off at train/bus station to water taxi and from drop off to hotel. Do not panic if you get off a stop or two early...stay along waterway and walk down to St. Elena ...make left once you see the proper water taxi site to get to hotel. Enjoy!

This friendly and efficient modern hotel has all necessary facilities and is just four quick vaporetto stops from San Marco with very frequent services. Set in a quiet residential area with leafy public gardens and squares, this hotel's location combines convenience to the centre with a peaceful tranquility which provides a wonderful contrast to the hurly burly of the tourist trail. The staff are friendly and efficient and our junior suite provided sufficient space for a seven night stay without the feeling of claustrophobia. There is a wired internet connectiion in the rooms and WiFi in the public areas. There is a decent breakfast buffet which can be eaten in the restaurant or taken out through a door into the walled garden or into a separate open sided dining room in one corner of the garden itself. The rooms are crisp, modern in style and have all necessary facilities. The only minor downside is that whilst there is a bar situated inside the restaurant this is not somewhere for an intimate nightcap - and it closes at 11.00 pm. The hotel is situated just few hundred metres from the vaporetto stop and there is a canal which runs directly alongside the building enabling convenient drop off and collection if you wish to take a private water taxi from or to the airport. This takes 30 minutes versus 90 minutes on public water buses and it eliminates the need to hump bags to and from the vaporetto and then between boats when changing at the Lido (not cheap but fast, fun and much more convenient).

This is a wonderful hotel---the location is a bit away from the action but it is nice to be able to get away from the hectic area around St Marks Square---the breakfast is outstanding ---a real find and definitely worth the short distance from the Action

very clean hotel, away from the crowds at St. Marks area. We injoyed walking into the square but if you aren't walkers the water bus stops just a few feet from the hotel. The breakfast was very good.

Nice enough hotel, nice size room, but bed was very uncomfortable which made sleeping difficult, was very far from St Mark's Square. Would be a good place for people traveling with small children as park and play yard close by or for someone wanting to be away from the crowds. Costly to use water taxi each time and waiting their arrival was a little annoying.

The hotel was ok, but we arrived at 23:00 due to problems with trains. We hadn't had dinner, so wanted food when we arrived, only to find there are no restaurants in the area, and the hotel's kitchen was closing in 5 minutes. They would only make toast for us, and that was only at our insistance. It was not a very welcoming way to start our stay. The hotel was clean, but the room was very small. I'm used to European rooms being small, but this was different than we had been led to expect from the website. It is a very pretty area of Venice, quiet and peaceful away from the main hustle. If you're happy to catch the boat all the time, which is easy but takes time, or walk 15-20 back to Piazza San Marco, then the location is ok. Some of the staff were lovely and helpful, others not so much. And it also seemed to depend on the time that you caught them as to how helpful they wanted to be. All in all, the hotel is ok, but next time I will be staying more in the centre.

The Santa Elena hotel in Venice is very comfortable. Though not very convenient from the airport or the main train station (it takes around 35-40 mins by boat to reach), the hotel makes up for it. Rooms are big and comfortable, bathrooms are spacious, breakfast is also good. The front office staff are quite helpful. They had free wi-fi and internet access in the lobby, what could have helped is wi-fi access in rooms. Overall highly recommended!

Might not suit everyone to be a little away from the centre but the 12 of us enjoyed either the 15 min walk back or the trip on the water bus. Rooms nice, breakfast was fine and staff very friendly. Couple of restaurants close by which were OK. We got a water taxi from airport to hotel which between 8 was reasonable but for small parties get the water bus to Lido and the water bus from there to Venice, First stop St Elena Euro 2 and hotel 2 mins walk. Woule stay here again as nice and quiet after busy day in centre

The hotel is a great location to avoid the crowds. It was about a 20 minute walk to Piazza San Marco. The room was very clean and comfortable. There are a few restaurants/bars a 10 minute walk away. The staff were very friendly. The water taxi is less than a 5 minute walk from the hotel. It was approximately 45 minutes on a water taxi to the train station.

The entire female staff was extremely rude and very unpleasant. Especially if you are from the U.S. They love to talk about you as well in Italian while in front of them. The breakfast staff in whole was horrible, no personal warmth or just a simple hello. The hotel was not as close as the website says and I would not recommend it to anyone. There was not a single restaurant to walk to.

Great hotel, great service, great breakfast. The only knock on the hotel is the location. We arrived to Venice on a day when the vaparettos were on strike (which happens quite often) and we ended up walking from the train station to the hotel which took around an hour and a half. Once the water buses were operational again, everything was ok as the Sant'Elena stop is only 3 mins away from the hotel. A positive aspect of the location is that it is only one stop away from Lido, where you can go to a beach. All around a great stay in a modern hotel in Venice that happens to be some distance away from the central area.

Having stayed here previously and had what we were told was a junior suite at a discounted rate booked online prior to Best Western taking control, we were disappointed to have a been given a small room with the bed wedged into an alcove with no access to the bed from either side. Having complained about the cramped room we were offered an alternative which was slightly better but as the hotel was fully booked this was the only alternative. We accepted. The dining/breakfast room is small and could not really cater for the amount of clients at breakfast, we tried the evening meal in the restaurant, the tuna was over cooked, so we ate out most nights. Service I must say was very good, but unfortunately the previous experience remained and this fell somewhat short of our expectations. Location is excellent, away from the crowds, would we recommend it, yes, is it really a 4star hotel, no, it lacks facilities and it is too expensive. Would we go back there again, most probably !
