The room for the breakfast was much too small. There was only one attendent servicing the room, could not keep it stocked and serviced due to large number of guests. The room was good, clean and comfortable. The employees were professional and friendly

Staff was very helpful and a great location for walking.

It's a good hotel regarding location, service and quality of room. Breakfast room a bit small. Overall you get what you pay for.

We booked this hotel because it was reasonably priced and had an airport shuttle. When I called for the shuttle at about 8 pm, I was informed that the shuttle didn't operate after 5 pm, and we would need a cab. Since the hotel is close to the airport, that cab ride was not to bad ($15 with tip). The room was clean, but a little small. Unfortuately, the only place to eat after 9 pm is a Denny's several blocks away.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The room was very noisy due to traffic noise and not clean. There are some sort of jets that fly over every night around 11 pm that shake the whole hotel. The curtains were torn and tied in a huge knot and when I complained to the management they did absolutely nothing about it. I asked them if all of the rooms were in bad shape or just mine. They said just mine but did not follow up with an offer to switch rooms. I took pictures and will be sending them to corporate Best Western. When we arrived there was a violent police incident with a homeless person on the front steps that went on for over an hour. This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at.

I loved this hotel. I had ac issues in my first room and was moved to another room without issue. Extended the stay, very close to downtown, across from Shelter Island. Perfect location! Friendly staff and clean rooms. Will def. stay here again.

I paid $10 extra for the room for a Point Loma view. I thought it was a view of the harbor, not the building next door.

We were right across from the harbor and enjoyed being able to walk across the street to see the yachts coming and going. It is not close enough to downtown to walk however there's a lot less chaos that way. Plenty of places to eat around us. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel was comfortable and we loved sitting out on the balcony. All in all it was a very nice stay. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. The only downside was the breakfast. It was okay but we really wanted a full breakfast so we walked to Denny's. No problem.

This hotel is older, but my room was as clean (or cleaner) than hotels of much higher $. Breakfast, gym & business center were all available. Location with harbor view was very nice! Would definitely stay here again. Don't let the low price scare you away as it almost did for me.

On area to improve. Better accessibility from parking garage to hotel.

Not so much...! We were greeted by a not-so-friendly front desk clerk and checked in. We were given our keys and directed to the 3rd floor. Opening the room we were met by 2 queen beds instead of the king we had reserved. I called down to the front desk and was first told that they had no king rooms available. I read her my reservation that said "King room, bay view and, if possible, corner room". The response was that, after all they did have a king, but that it was on the ground floor just around the corner from the front desk. When I asked how noisy it might be, the response was curt - a "take it or leave it" attitude. We took it and while it was a king, the parking lot view certainly wasn't in keeping with the reservation info. I later called down (same clerk) and reserved my spot on the 8 am shuttle to the airport. The next morning at 8:10 am and after waited for 25 minutes, I went inside the lobby only to be met by the (very pleasant) driver of the shuttle who said that his schedule had no one booked for 8 am and, in fact, my name was not on his list at all. He immediately took me to the airport, about 5 mintues away. While I was waiting for the shuttle, I used the bathroom near the lobby. It was visibly unclean; dirt on the floor, etc. The best I can say is that the location to the airport was good. I don't plan to return to this site on future trips.

Overall this hotel is clean but dated. Restaurant is just across the street. I would say location is in a good area. Also this hotel is not too far from Sea World.

good launching point for SD sight seeing

The hotel/motel looked ok and there was a plenty of free parking place. Considering that the motel is the place to sleep at night, this place was a great disappointment. The room windows were facing the busy Harbor Drive street and the windows offered very little isolation from the noise. Even with ear plugs the sleeping was pretty much impossible. I had a 5AM departure. At that time there was coffee available in the reception, but it had been there at lease since the previous evening and was cold and undrinkable.

We left the room in the morning and expected to get it cleaned new towels etc. We got back to our room at about one pm to see that our soiled towels were removed but not replaced? Beds not made,vacuumed nothing.... Then why bother to take old towels? Called the front desk to see what the deal was, and was told that i had to request maid service by ha.ging a sign on the doorknob...what? Never heard of this ever. I requested it to be done and was told 2 hours minimum. Unreal

My friends & I needed a place to stay before our joining our cruise the next day. This hotel met our needs with free airport & cruise shuttle. The free breakfast was also great. There can be some airplane noise but none late at night so we all slept well. We would definitely come again.

great combo of location, comfort and price

very noisey, on a major road and not only can you hear the traffic all night but can also hear the rooms next to you. The breakfast room is much too small for the size of the hotel, no place to sit. The location is good, not far from anything, the staff was good as well. Wont be staying here again

I stayed here one night after returning to San Diego from Palm Springs. The hotel is close to the airport, Point Loma, Old Town, and Sea World. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful and it was great to have a continental breakfast.

the services were terrific, Bella & an Engineer moved us from a 2 Queen room (the hotel was full) to a king size for our 2nd night and helped with all our luggage. clean, comfortable room, great breakfast too. good value.

good location, great service, decent breakfast. plenty of rree parking and free wifi. I gave it overall 4 because it is a bit noisy during the night with the traffic in front of the hotel. but we like it very much, will go back

Generally a good experience. The room was clean and comfortable. We had a non-smoking room but someone on our floor, maybe even the room next door, had guests who smoked (a lot) so the smoke filtered into our room the first two nights making it hard to breathe. We opened the balcony door which helped but I had to hold my hand over my mouth to walk to the elevator. The breakfast was very good but the room used for breakfast was way too small--always crowded and never an empty table. I would, however, stay here again but I'd ask for a non-smoking floor or at least non-smoking wing.

The room wasn't anything fancy, but it was VERY clean. We had a king bed on the 5th floor, which did take up most of the room. It really wasn't bad, we didn't spend much time there anyway. The breakfast in the morning was decent, besides the usual continental fare you could make your own waffles. My main complaint is the same with most hotels, the bed was way to soft. For the price though you get free breakfast, free parking, free wif and no BS resort fee. I'd stay there again.

First night was in a room facing the harbor and although the view was great, the traffic noise from street below was EXTREMELY loud and made it very difficult to sleep. For the second and third nights we moved to another side room. Still heard traffic noise but it was muted somewhat. This room overlooked a vacant parking lot.

We were disappointed with our stay. The shuttle wouldn't when out ru n us to the airport until 7 am when our flight left at 7 am. The hotel is rather worn.

We were in a room with two Queen beds and we felt like we had a lot of room. Having a view of the street was a little noisy and the room had a musty smell due to the hotel being older and the humidity, but we used air freshners and febreeze and that did the trick. Overall a good experience and a friendly hotel staff.

were stay 2 nights and found ecelence for the money we spended, we w'll back next year

Great location to stay at in San Deigo. The Zoo,Coronado,old town all within 10 minutes,make sure you go to La Jolla.The hotel was clean,the breakfast was good but crowded small room.The only problem is that you could hear road noise thru the sliding windows.

Had no major problems at this hotel. It was St. Patrick's Day weekend, so there were some late partiers in some upstairs rooms, but all in all a good experience.

The breakfast was good they had an okay quality of food. The rooms were okay, would recommend you clean the carpet more. Would stay here next time but again not the best hotel in the area.

This hotel was the best hotel that we stayed in on our trip. The room and hallways were bright and clean. We had a great view of the harbor from the deck and convenient to restaurants and other facilities. I would highly recommend this hotel.
