The location was nice for it was close enough to walk to boardwalk as well as to walk to downtown.

Great experience. Nice, comfortable, and inexpensive!

We stay here every time we come to Santa Cruz. The rooms are always clean and they very nice and spacious! Parking is very easy. The breakfast is DELICIOUS! Bacon, eggs, fresh Belgian Waffles! And of course the usual breakfast items; fruit, cereal, yogurt, bagels etc. We take that fact into consideration when choosing a hotel because of the money we save by not needing to go out to get a good breakfast. So it makes a hotel worth a little more in my opinion. All the staff we have ever interacted with has been friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

When I booked this hotel, the rating was 4 out of 5 stars...well it's more like a 2 out of 5 stars. Our first room was on the second level and had no air flow from the window as it sat above the mini courtyard for the hot tub (there is NOT a pool here) the noise from the street traffic was terrible. We visited late April, Santa Cruz was cool and breezy...but we were in a room having to run an air conditioner because of the noise. I switched our room, which was considerably cooler in general...but there was no screen on the window and the hotel staff was not concerned about replacing it. The hotel was clean and the breakfast was good (standard hotel fare) but its on a very busy corner and no pool.

Only, complant is that we had a wall view,but since we were only staying one night it didn't matter much.

The windows had absolutely no sound barrier to them. I had to check to see they weren't open. That's how noisy it was with the street traffic.

This is the second time in the same hotel. We really like this place and will stay here again. The staff is friendly and the rooms are large and clean.

Everything was what I expected. I didn't expect this to be a top hotel, but it was nice for the price. The staff were great and very accommodating, and the free buffet breakfast was great and convenient.

Stayed two nights for the Santa Cruz Half Marathon and it was convenient and affordable. Parking can be a bit tricky but overall experience was awesome...

We enjoyed our visit. Breakfast was good. The room was good. It was an easy drive to get to different areas in Santa Cruz.

Close to the main shopping strip and walking to the Santa Cruz Arcade.

The hotel rooms, service, and breakfasts were excellent. The rooms were spacious, clean, and quiet (even though we were across the hall from the ice and vending machines). The staff was cordial and very helpful. There was a variety of food for breakfast. Parking was convenient. Our goal was to spend a couple of days on the Santa Cruz boardwalk. Although we walked the 1+ mile on the first day, we ended up driving on the second day. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Great location. Near some good restaurants. Good breakfast. Washer/dryer for guests' use. Wifi is good. Staff and fellow guests are friendly.

The room was fantastic, it had all the ammenities we needed and more. Spacious and comfortable! A little longer walk to the boardwalk than we expected but overall the hotel was a great choice for my family!

We absolutely loved our stay! The staff was extremely helpful and the hotel was in great condition. The continental breakfast was pretty typical, but did have a waffle maker which we enjoyed. Just be aware that there are TWO Best Westerns in Santa Cruz. We went to the wrong one at first before we figured out we were supposed to be at the Best Western PLUS All Suite Inn (not the regular Best Western) which is close to the beach and boardwalk.

Our only complaint is the carpet under the air conditioner (between bed and window) was very wet, which also caused an unpleasant odor. The hotel was full so they could not give us another room, their solution was to put towels down. Other than that, the room was very nice. The breakfast was excellent.

The hotel property was clean and well maintained. There was adequate parking (free). There is a terrific Italian restaurant directly across the street. The hotel is walking distance to downtown and to the boardwalk. The wharf is a little farther but not an impossible walk especially if you want to avoid the crazy traffic down there. The UCSC campus is a short drive. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Many that are closer to the ocean are not in good neighborhoods.

Very nice hotel. Clean, friendly staff and great free breakfast!!! Definitely will stay there again next time I'm in Santa Cruz.. Parking is a bit tight and difficult if you have a large car or SUV.

very helpful and friendly staff. Clean room. Nice breakfast. And the shuttle to the airport and ferry was very fantastic. I will be staying here again.

Just stayed overnight on a Sat. The ice machine on our (third) floor was not in order and several baskets of trash sat by it for the19 hours we were there. The room was much larger than expected. The breakfast was nice as the selection was huge with yogurt, muffins, waffles, toast, cereal, etc. Good coffee. Spacious dining area and nice staff but few and far between. We walked to the beach and downtown.

Our stay here was very satisfying. Then staff was courteous and helpful. Everything was clean, comfortable and worked properly. The breakfast was better than expected (Eggs, bacon, waffles, muffins, bagels, cereal, fruit, juices, coffe, teas, and more). Obviously this is a well run establiishment. We would gladly stay here again.

We've stayed here before and would stay here again, however this last stay was a nightmare. There was a complaint about smoking in our room, which there wasn't any due to my wife being 7 1/2 months pregnant and I'm in a hotel room duh,well what had happened was I was sitting on my vapor pen unknowingly and it had been going off in my pocket, front desk clerk came to inform me of complaints and that I was being charged for the smoking fee, even after I explained. After talking to desk clerk he told me that I was being charged but was still allowed to stay. Well when we got back in at 2:30 am after a concert the security guard informed us that we had to leave. So now not only have I paid in full for a room I can't stay in I'm also getting charged 368 on top of that. I came back in the morning to explain what happened and contest the charge with the manager, who was a great manager, and she totally understood and went to check the room herself, she said that there would be no extra charge for smoking because she could tell we hadn't been smoking and understood about my pen being accidentally turned on. I will definitely return I love the place but just really sucks that we even had to go through all of that and with my wife being pregnant that really added to my irritation level, and I still paid for a room that we didn't get to stay in.

Two major snags, no outside window (didn't think to ask) was major for me. Just seeing the outside world and getting that light is a big thing for me. There was also a problem with the TV, and when they had the solution they called the wrong room with it. If I hadn't gone down to the front desk myself to complain yet again, the TV would have been unusable all night. One more thing, the heat was very loud when it came on. It used the fan from the air conditioning system, and you couldn't set the fan to a quieter speed. So I woke up with a headache because I used the heat.

We stayed at the venue for 3 nights and found it very comfortable for our needs. We used the fitness room (small but adequate), enjoyed the breakfast selection, and walked to downtown easily. We wished the policy would be to turn off or mute the TV during breakfast. No one watched it and the background noise is irritating. Otherwise, the hotel staff was very accommodating.

The room was very comfortable, although there was a lot of street noise. It was a perfect place to stay after our trip to Ano Nuevo State Park to see the Elephant Seals. The breakfast was great, hot food. we enjoyed our stay. Our grand daughter unexpectedly traveled with us and the staff accomadeted that change with no extra charges either. I would recommend to friends as a nice convient place to stay.

The service at this hotel was impecable! Kind staff, attentive to our every need. Spotlessly clean and extremely convinient location. Cant wait to stay here again

My stay was fine, room clean and comfortable. 5am wake up call did not happen on 2nd day of my stay.
