Helpful staff, near Central Termini and subways, many nearby restaurant choices

We booked this place at the last minute, because we were arriving in Rome a day earlier than expected, and our other hotel was unavailable. The hotel was an easy walk from Termini Station, and reception was friendly and polite. The room was very clean - our only problem was that the shower door leaked and flooded the bathroom. Otherwise, we were very comfortable. The Termini area is a bit of a walk from a lot of the major sites in Rome, but it's not terrible, and there is a metro stop very near the hotel that stops at the Colosseum. All in all, this hotel was a decent choice, especially at the last minute.

I am not one to write reviews, but I felt this had to be said to all those looking for hotels in Rome. The pictures looked nice......don't let it fool you. Though we knew staying in Europe the rooms would be small this is to be expected, and we also knew that we would over pay....however I have some expectations from a four star hotel and this was not it. The beds were terrible, the bedding was terrible and a comforter you would question even touching. The Bathroom was ok, but the shower drain did not drain well, so you had to keep putting the water on and off for it to catch up. Do yourself and your pocket book a favor book the less expensive hotel as they would be the same quality.

Proximity to train and subway was great. Hotel was a bit away from major attractions and restaurants.

The hotel is located around the corner from the Termini station in Rome. Considering that you can get a cheap taxi from outside the station all the must see sites are available quickly from here. Also the surrounding area has Rome style restaurants that offer the safe feeling of people eating on the streets late at night. The hotel itself for the price is what you would expect, good and the staff attended to all my requests. Put simple I have travelled globally, the hotel has a decent tv , free wifi, good bathroom and cheap price for all. At the end of the day if your staying in the hotel room as would your living room at room there is no point in visiting this fantastic city.. I would definitely stay again...

The area it's ok, close to the central station and the subway. The room has enough space, it's quiet, but has a little old style air about it. The breakfast it's medium, too many sweets, little food.

The hotel was very nice, but the bed was as hard as a rock! Other than that, it was very nice and the complimentary breakfast was outstanding ..... especially for Europe. Bus and metro were very convenient so it was easy to get to all of the major tourist sites. Would probably stay there again.

Overall, we were pleased with the hotel. It had a great complimentary breakfast in the morning, and access to wi-fi, which were two of the most important things for us. It was farther away from the main sites, but the metro stop was just a 1 minute walk, and termini station was a 5 minute walk. Good restaurants were just around the corner, and the neighborhood seemed safe. The room itself wasn't horrible, but wasn't great. The bed was rock hard, and the carpet was dirty, but the bathroom was nice. Others in our party had rooms with wood floors. We didn't spend much time in the hotel anyways, so for the price and the amenities, we think it was worth the stay.

We enjoyed our stay in this hotel. The staff were nice and it's a big plus that they can speak English. It was nice to have an all you can eat breakfast. They have contracted an Italian guy to valet, whom you pay cash when you check out. They listed it as 27 Euro a day but that's the minimum. If you brought your typical American vehicle, which is most likely an SUV or a minivan, you'll get charge more. The room was very clean, though the hallway smelled like dirty bathroom (don't know why). The rooms are set up with twin beds, which are put together if you request a double bed. The location is great! It's close to most things you want to see in Rome. The main terminal (which is a train and metro stop), is only a few blocks away. There's also a bus stop a block away from the hotel. This bus stop is convenient because there are few bus lines that stops by it. The neighborhood offers a great array of various places to eat. We felt safe walking the alleys with our children. There is also a grocery store a block away, which is great if there are things you have forgotten or need to go to a supermarket for. We definitely enjoyed our stay! We would stay there again!!!

This isn't a terribly fancy hotel, but it actually exceeded my expectations (relative to what I paid). The bathroom was quite spacious and in good condition, and even the bed was fairly comfortable, though it looked pretty old. My main complaints were that the air conditioning didn't work -- this wasn't a huge issue since I happened to be there on a relatively cool night, but I could easily see it being a problem for others who were less fortunate -- and the front desk service was a little abrupt. There was also no wi-fi available, which is something they should remedy. Also: the neighborhood near the train station isn't great at night, so bear that fact in mind if you're coming in late (as I did). At least the streets on the north side of the station (where this hotel is) seem to be better than the ones on the south side (where I first exited the station).

We picked the Best Western for its location for our last night in Rome upon returning from a cruise. It's close to Termini Station so we had a choice of metro or shuttle bus to the airport. The staff was helpful, and a nice continental breakfast was included. When traveling Europe in summer, its nice to have a lift (elevator) and air conditioning..I would recommend this hotel.

We stayed here in July 2011. The hotel is convenient to central Rome, The Metro and Stazione Termini. There are lots of restaurants nearby however it can be very noisy at night. There is lots of street noise from time to time however it is Rome so, it can be noisy regardless of where you stay. The hotel staff is friendly and very helpful.

Quality of service in Italy is not the best, but some of the in the front desk are cero friendly.

Good hotel, good location. Nothing fancy and don't think its a 4 star hotel. But in Rome its a safe bet in that price range. Only one complaint, the bed wasn't the most comfortably I've ever slept in!..

The hotel is very close to the central station, just few blocks away. We also had a small grocery store around the corner. Lots of restaurants in the area. Very close to the metro, though we did not use it. Walking around Rome is a wonderful experience. The hotel was very nice, safe, price was reasonable, breakfast was included. The only dissatisfaction was we got different room from what we had booked. Also, requested an extra towel, which we never received. Overall, it was ok.

Our room was spacious all things considered, the neighborhood was quiet, close to a subway, and with food and a small grocery store near by. I can't remember how we found this hotel while searching, but I would strongly recommend it to anyone closely budgeting their trip to Rome. Oh, and the breakfast was spectacular, too.

The Villafranca is really handy for the Metro and the main Termini station, which makes getting to the historical sites really easy. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was fine, with plenty on offer. Overall, a practical choice if you're in Rome for a few days.

Excellent accommodation. Very clean and tidy. Excellent food

Almost everything about the hotel was fine.We had stayed there previously and had been happy to return to it,mainly for the location.The room ,this time was about half the size of the one we had last time,but it was mainly ok.There was no bath and the shower cubicle was too small.There was only one socket in the whole room,which had a table lamp plugged in.This made it difficult to plug in the kettle,when having tea or coffee.There was a problem with an overhead light which kept on lighting up during the night when we moved in the bed.I told reception about it next morning and the lady said she would get it fixed.However it was the same that night.On the last night I did some switching on and off various lights and that night we got darkness when we wanted it. The staff in reception during the day were pleasant and helpful,but the guy in the evening was grumpy and unfriendly ,as he had been the last time.He would certainly not attract business. Breakfast each morning was good,plenty of variety,juices,cereals,fresh fruit,cheese,cold meat and cooked bacon,sausages and scrambled eggs.These could have been warmer.There was a good selection of beverages. Anyway we decided to make the most of our break and not to let small problems irritate us and spoil our visit to the wonderful city of Roma

We were looking for a well located hotel. This hotel was everything we were expecting. It is a Best Western hotel and it is close to major sightseeings, metro and bus stops and main termini.Service was good, the room was clean and we were a big group traveling with babies. They have very confortable cribs. Everything was ok and price worth it.

Stay for the location not the service. Check out was a nightmare. The clerk had a giant line and no one to help him. Also the shower might be the most bizarre setup I have ever seen. It had two waterpiks (one down below and the other up high) with zero water pressure from either. The top one fell and hit me in the head when I got in the shower.

Hotel in ottima posizione, eccellente per soggiorni business nell'area Staz. Termini. Servizi di standard elevato garantiti dalla catena B.Western. Buona la colazione. Locali comuni rinnovati di recente con gusto e stile. Ottimo il rapporto qualità-prezzo. Decisamente consigliato

Agréable séjour dans une ville au patrimoine extraordinaire.

Pour un séjour de 3 jours à Rome pour visiter les attractions (Musées et monuments nationaux) le positionnement est excellent, près du Termini et du City sightseeing bus.

Das Hotel ist günstig in der Nähe des Bahnhofs Termini gelegen. Die Zimmer waren in Ordnung, aber diverse Details sind verbesserungswürdig (Duschvorhang eingerissen, Lift ausgefallen, beim Frühstücksbuffett mindestens ein defekter Kaffeeautomat, relativ enger Frühstücksraum).

l'hotel è a brevissima distanza dalla fermata della metro castro pretorio. nei pressi fermano anche degli autobus. la stazione termini si raggiunge a piedi in pochi minuti. nella zona ci sono posti dove mangiare e il ristorante di fronte è aperto fino a tardi. abbiamo preso una matrimoniale in offerta non rimborsabile. rispetto ai commenti precedenti, in effetti la stanza non era da quattro stelle (specie per moquette e scarichi del bagno), ma era silenziosa e sufficientemente grande. bagno con bidet e vasca, spazioso e ben fornito di asciugamani. personale molto gentile. colazione a buffet sia dolce che salato. comodità della disponibilità della colazione fino alle 10 e il check out alle 12. per questa esperienza, rapporto qualità prezzo decisamente vantaggioso.

Hotel tres convenable pour le prix

Bra Hotell nära Termini och Tunnelbanan. Mycket bra frukost buffé. 4 stjärnor är kanske lite i överkant men helt okej för en turistvecka i Rom. Trevlig och hjälpsam personal. Lugnt område trots nära till Termini. 2 minuter till närmsta T-banestation. Låg en helt okej restaurang mittemot hotellet.

El hotel tiene una excelente ubicacion ya que se encuentra cerca de la terminal Termini y a dos cuadras de una estacion de metro. Es muy pequeno, si los huespedes son altos seria incomoda. El hotel es nuevo y cuenta con desayuno incluido, el cual esta bien.
