BEST WESTERN APALACH INN - Apalachicola

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel and will definitely use it again if we are in the area. The room was very clean and spacious and the breakfast bar had plenty of choices.

Good combination of location and value. Nice alternative to more expensive lodging right in town.

Reasonable rate. Breakfast included and they had eggs, sausage, waffles and biscuits and gravy, in addition to the typical continental breakfast fare.

From the moment we walked in the lobby we were treated like old friends. The manager/owner could not do enough for us. We drove all night to get there and she made a special effort to turn our room over so we could check in several hours early at no additional cost. The room was larger than we expected, with comfortable beds and a nice TV. The pool was very clean (but too cold this time of year). Very small work out room with 3 pieces of equipment...we did not use since we ran outside. Breakfast was also better than most. With cereal choices, eggs, sausage and fresh made waffles, bagels etc... Definitely would stay there again.

great breakfast, near so many places to see and so much to do on vacation, Mexican restaurant nearby (Golfo de Mexico) is amazing little hole in the wall (my whole family loved everything they had there). We stayed there for a week while going to different places, and the maids asked us each day what if anything we would like cleaned in our room . . . very impressive. Beds were very comfortable, room was spacious. What's not to like? Will definitely stay there in the future if in the area.

The location/convenience, price, comfort, breakfast, and cleanliness of this Best Western were all top-notch making it an excellent choice for travelers on a budget. The only downside really were the thin walls. Maybe it was just our particular room (it had a door connecting it to our neighbor's room), but we could hear our neighbors clearly from next-door. This was a big problem because there was a family with young children, so we could hear them yelling and screaming, and their parents yelling at them back until late at night. The next day there was a new neighbor who listened to the television while laughing and making comments that we could hear clearly through the wall/door. I would stay here again, but next time I would ask for a room that isn't connected to the neighbor with a door, because I think that's how most of the sound got in.

quaint town, hotel location is convenient.

This motel is fantastic! Clean and comfortable rooms, quiet... and wonderful breakfasts. You have to drive to the downtown area.

IT was fairly clean and maintained was the best I stayed at during my trip.Great hot breakfast.

The hotel was located conveniently near the bridge to St. George Island as well as downtown Apalachicola.

very pleasent everything went well asked the owners where to get the best oysters and found them correct oysters were fantastic and the price was right..

This was a real surprise....perfect location.....reasonable price......comfortable/large room......great breakfast(not the usual coffee and donuts)....friendly staff.

Congenial hotel staff. Nice place to stay. Competitive rates.

The front desk was super pleasant and breakfast was great. Will stay there again!

very good, close to good restaurants and beach.The only issue is that the carpets are a little dirty, but we use the hotel just for sleep.

Enjoyable and very good bargain for the price. The high point was hostess, Chelsea, who was personable, at same time professional, gave us great tips on places to eat. The morning hostess - (Aug 25), sorry I am blanking on her name, ...I turned 69 the very next day...was also very nice. Those two ladies at the front desk are certainly an asset to Best Western Apalachee.

It was a nice hotel. The area where you get breakfast was too small. We did not get to eat either day. That was why I choose that hotel because of the free breaksfast.. There was so many people in there and it said you could not take it to your room. So we would have had to stand up to eat. Also the pool closes too early. would like for it to have been open at least until 11pm.

Nicely maintained. Good breakfast. Could have been cleaner. Lots of crumbs on the floor. Great service & staff was very friendly & helpful.

Nice room, very clean - hotel staff was fantastic. Breakfast is one of the best, lots of options, eggs and sausage. On our second day, lost power due to Tropical Storm Debby - by late afternoon, the power was still out and there were concerns about evacuations so the desk clerk got us set up to move to a different Best Western in Panama City - they were so friendly and helpful, we we sad to leave.

My husband and I checked in with the intention of going back out to the beach, but the bed and room were so inviting we just called it a night. The staff was friendly and breakfast was well kept up.

The staff was etrramly nice, helpful and polite.Location of hotel was very good. The only down side the room was a little dated, but they are in the process of remodoling, so it wont be that way long.Great stay nwith great people, couldn't have been happier.

It was outside of Appalachacola, not in it. You had to get back in your car to get to anything. Even though people weren't supposed to have pets there were pets. There was only one ice machine, downstairs in the lobby, far away from our room. There was very little water pressure in the shower.Not staying there again.

we requested 2 bqueen size beds, handicap room. when we got there my husband was told that we requested a king on line and it couldn't be changed and they couldn't cancel it, that is until my husband brought back the paperwork i had showing i requested 2 queen beds. all of a sudden they had one, non-smoking, i requested smoking. also, if you think one handicap bar in the shower constitutes a handicap room, you are way behind times.

I was very pleased with the cleanliness of the rooms and the staff was very nice and helpful. The breakfast was hot and very good. For the price I would highly reccomend this hotel. You are only minutes from everything including the beach. Apalacacola is an awesome town.

Perhaps it's because I am terrible at remembering names, but I am always impressed when someone I don't know well remembers my name. When I checked in to the Best Western Apalach Inn, I had a brief conversation with the woman at the desk. The next day I passed her in the lobby and she greeted me by name. It's not like I was the only guest at the hotel -- it was full at the time. To me it was indicative of the type of service the hotel offers.

Remodeling. Much needed. Had a hard time honoring my reservation for a 1st floor room. Check in gal on Sunday afternoon was incompetent. On Monday morning the front desk folks were much better. Good breakfast.

The rooms were a nice size, reasonably priced and close enough to the beaches and restaurants. They served a huge breakfast that had something for everyone. The pool area was comfortable and clean. When we can in for lunch, the rooms were clean, towels replaced. Overall a great stay. My family and I will definately be staying there again this summer

Hotel was a short drive (15 minutes) from many coastal signts and was reasonably convenient to both Panama city and St George Isle.

We really enjoyed our stay there. The staff was very courteous. The eating area was small but clean and was adequate. We would have preferred a softer bed but other than that it was A Ok.

From check-in to check-out, we felt completely at home. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful if we had been family instead of strangers. Enjoyed our stay very much.

While not new this hotel looks well maintained and improvements have been done nicely. Clean and no funny smells - pillows were OK too.
