Excellent spacious room, very good rate, good amenities (pool and gym) Food good too! My only criticism is no tea and coffee making facilities in rooms!

Overall, I found my brief stay at the Van der Valk hotel quite enjoyable. From the outside it doesn't look all that nice, but don't let that fool you. The inside is well decorated and maintained. The staff is extremely friendly and are willing to offer help and advice regarding trips into the city. The hotel is a short 10 minute bus ride from the airport. The shuttle is complementary and runs 6am to Midnight, leaving the airport and hotel every 40 minutes (every even hour from the hotel and every odd hour from the airport). The hotel is located at a rest stop on the A4 highway, which offers several restaurant choices (KFC, Burger King, La Place) and a couple of shops. I found the room to be adequate and clean, meeting my expected needs. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who needs to stay close to the airport.

The room was in terrible shape including these obvious problems: unpainted large plywood rectangle nailed to sink front, very scary shower with rubber tubing hanging from the door.

Everything is good, except that we had to travel to Amsterdam for everything sightseeing, tours, food, shopping.

this is my second time and I enjoyed it more the second time round (guess I knew what to expect) . Location is awful, just off a motorway, so expect traffic noise in room.. And hotel can be crowded with hoards of people (so be sure to book table in resto in evening), Best aspect is food - always good in the large restaurant - breakfast and lunch / dinner meals. Be mindful that the journey from Schipol takes longer than expected as bus needs to do a long loop to cross motorway to reach hotel. I took a taxi from airport (as didn't want to wait for hotel us) and it cost Euros 40 - so not cheap! No water in room, only vending machines on corridor - so bring your own.

ITS WAS REALLY PLEASURE TO STAY IN THIS HOTEL,AND ITS NOTTHE FIRST STAY IN THIOS HOTEL.

the room was having a bad smell, and desks and such are old . not for a 4* hotel.

Served our purpose very well (staying at a decent hotel close to the airport). Restaurant was quite expensive but the unique location on the expressway adjacent to a service area resulted in guests having a choice of several other food establishments next door. Was a comfortable hotel with many amenities, including a very nice bar, great gym and pool..

we enjoyed our stay very much excelent bus service from hotel to airport and other available locations. Morning buffet breakfast the best any place in the World. service and friendly staff on front desk and other area. We recommend this place to anyone we give this a 5 Star.

A comfortable hotel on the road with all what you need to stay a night over. Few of good eating places across the street close by. Hotel also has a very good restaurant with a good food. Probably a good place to stay when you need a night cap at Schiphol in between your intercontinental flights. I have been coming here for business for the last 10-12 years and it has kept its standard.

My husband and I stayed here for valentines week. Its a lovely hotel with a convenient location to get around Amsterdam and surrounding areas if you have a car. Free shuttles take you to and from airport so public transport is accessible. Downside to hotel was workers in the morning making lots of noise, also the room was cold no heating worked and they never fixed it. Reasonable prices and nice looking great bath facility bath shower in on room separate and massive flatscreen. I mid rated it mainly because of service issues but it is a very nice hotel and had heating and noise been less I would have rated higher! nice spacious balconies too if your a smoker!

I was just looking for a decent hotel by the airport, and the Van der Valk turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The restaurant was open early and late. The staff were friendly and helpful. The highlight for me was the steamroom and sauna - a pleasant surprise.

Nice hotel behind a service station on the A4 on the way to airport. I'd use it again. Pool nice and relaxing

Will use it every time we fly from Amsterdam

I enjoyed my short stay very much. The reception area is very nice, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. There are also fast food restaurants extremely nearby, if you do not want to use the hotel restaurant.

Stayed here many times if I have an early flight from Schiphol. Room as are always massive and clean. I skip dinner and breakfast and just head over to the services across the car park. Everything you want there chinese, steaks...La Place is my weapon of choice. There is nothing around the hotel to do or see unless you like the sound of jets!, however, I have rated it 4 purely because of the motorway services and all the food and service which is offered there. The courtesy bus is regular and large so no problems getting to and from the airport.

I regularly stay here before my early morning flight to the US, a the hotel is but a few minutes away from the airport, right off the highway. It belongs to a chain that is known for fairly good quality at a reasonable price. My room was large and clean. Good, spacious bathroom, nice shower. Had a decent meal, friendly staff. The floor in my room was hot and therefore so was the room. Airco didn't seem to work in November. NOT a place for a vacation. You'll get some noise from the airport and the highway and the neighborhood lacks any charm. The hotel tries to make up for it with its decorations, fake fireplaces etcs. Open spaces, marble floors. Reminds me of Vegas, the basic version. If you can get a good price, don't hesitate.

We had stayed at Van der Valk Hotel Schiphol A4 several years ago when our flight was delayed. We very much enjoyed the room and the food in the restaurant. This time, we stayed here because of it's convenience to Schiphol Airport and because of the previous stay. Unfortunately, it was a matter of convenience as we had an early flight from Schiphol back to the US. It was very clean... the restaurant was wonderful!

The Hotel was of a high standard, breakfast was fantastic, plenty of choices. The free Airport shuttle made it easy to visit the city centre, with added cost of transport offset by the low cost of the Hotel room in comparison with the city Hotel prices. The onl problem experienced was on the early morning shuttle to the Airport, where too many people wanted to go at the same time.

I have stayed at this property many times. The bus service is always ontime (40 min frequency) The restaurant is very good. The price normally represents a good value. They have multi-person rooms as well

This hotel was very convenient for getting to the airport early the next morning. It was expensive, but worth it to have a comfortable stay and get a good night's sleep before a long flight home. The pool was quite nice, and the sauna etc, all good for relaxing. There was a good selection of restaurants close by. It was a bit awkward getting around anywhere else because of the highway exits, but going to the airport was very quick and easy.

When we go to Europe always take the Valk hotel , it is great for the service to and from the Airport. The breakfast is formidable you never find a better one, just to mention the room was not clean when we came in for the first night , the next morning I told the reception about what I did not like so they were apologetic and gave us another room.What we miss is a coffee maker in the room and face cloth but we know from before so we take our own. Still the next time we will take our Airport hotel The Valk always have a great time there.

What a maze to find your room nothing made sense. The whole place was weird. No breakfast included, cost almost the same as the room for 3 people. The room was ok and beds were twins pushed together though, I like a king or queen bed instead.

The hotel was clean, very quiet and not too far from the airport. The bathroom amenities were good also. The buffet breakfast is 15 euros but it was totally worth it, one of the biggest breakfast buffets I've seen in awhile and a huge selection of pretty much everything you could imagine. The attendant at the buffet even went out of his way to have a large bill changed for me. Probably the only complaint would be that they charge you 10 Euros if you want to watch any television (which I didn't) so it was ok. For a quick stopover after a long flight I would defniitely recommend and stay here again.

Perfect hotel for our 1-night stay before cruise--close to airport (and train station) with free shuttle. Room clean, comfortable, and quiet with nice balcony. Reception and restaurant staff very helpful and efficient and dinner and breakfast buffet excellent.

Great price. No tea/coffee in rooms, hence the price. Reception staff friendly. Bar staff could have been friendlier. Also dissapointing when the bar closed at 1pm (ish). Overall a lovely hotel and ideal for a nights sleep before a flight the next day. I'd stay here again without a doubt.

Good hotel. Good location for air travelers. Staff extremely polite and helpful. Clean room. Charge for one night extremely high. We later found out that there was a conference in the area. If this hotel is advertised as a convenient location for air travelers, they should keep that in mind and not triple room rates for non-conference guests.
