Compass Cove Resort - מירטל ביץ'

I had a hard time finding a hotel that was on the beach and would accomodate 6 people. I finally found this one. The location was good, there are no major shops around, but they are in walking distance. The 2 pools and the beach service was great. The hotel could be better if it had a bar and resturant near the pool area and they included breakfast with your room. Other than that, we all had a very nice stay.

The room was nice but lots of construction going on and because of it they closed off elevators and we had to walk with our 2 toddlers 1 infant around the resort to get out with our luggage in the parking garage and there was a cigarette bud in the pool

I was very pleased with Compass Cove with the exception of them trying to make us pay per day for street parking. They said they only allow one car pass for this room. We booked for 4 people and we had two cars. And the parking deck was never full the entire trip. Other than that everything was great! We loved the water activities. I'm sure we didnt get to use them all but we sure tried. It was great.

Nice nrooms n nice people

We had a great weekend at Compass cove. The room was fine for the little time we spent in there. The service was nice and the front desk staff was friendly. Free new release dvd rental was nice for the kids at night. The location is excellent, The indoor water features are great for kids of all ages. There are slides and numerous indoor/outdoor lazy rivers. Will be our destination for years to come.

Would stay again!!

Compass Cove did not disappoint as usual. Room was updated and clean. Beds and pillows very comfortable. Pools were all very clean and all common areas, even in midst of construction. Ate at Compass Rose for dinner. The food was excellent and the server was fabulous. Would definitely come again!

I love this hotel with all their pools, spas, lazy rivers and water features. It is right on the beach and in a great Myrtle Beach location. We were walking distance from the Parasailing, banana boat rides, kayaks rentals, and jet skis. What a fun time! Plus it is only 5 minutes form the airport. That was an added plus, as my husband had to fly out for business the day we left.

Our first trip to Myrtle Beach so we had high hopes. The room looked nothing like the picture online. The weather was bad, so we spent more time in the room than expected. The cable picture was horrible on almost all channels, so we got movies. We bought food, but the stove didn't work. We will be back to Myrtle Beach but not Compass Cove.D

Really nice rooms

Weather was rainy, cold & windy.....but the view from our room was heavenly and there was plenty of indoor pool action to keep the kids busy. There was some construction going on in the hotel, but didn't interfere with our fun. Only complaint would be there aren't enough elevators and they are slow.

Wonderful long weekend. Very nice people work at the Crow's Nest and the "Rose" restaurant - hard workers. The kitchens in the older area should be updated or at least a new coat of varnish on the cupboards to make them look more presentable. Lots of construction going on but that is good, too. LOTS for kids to do!

Everything was a little outdated. That said I don't have much experience with beach resort that have been around for a while. Staff was excellent. Parking was a little tough. Food was decent at breakfast. Pools were numerous and the kids had a blast! Chlorine was high but understandable. Room was clean but outdated.

This is a nice hotel... I would stay there again. I saw something's that need improving but over all it was good

Location, location, location!!! Older place but the location is fantastic. Great water activities for kids especially. Staff attentive and helpful. We were on ground floor and could walk across patio onto the beach. Loved it!

Would stay again, clean/comfortable room. Good selection of pools(some heated) and hot tubs. Only complaint would be a poor channel selection on the TV. Only had maybe 10-12 channels, at least ESPN was one of them.

The hotel was nice and offered a good number of amenities. The many pools came in handy as the weather was less than ideal during most of our stay. The room was had an oceanfront view and a balcony. Everything was well maintained and the staff was helpful. Overall, I found it to be a nice place to stay.

Overall a nice place. Lots of water stuff for the kids to do. Loved the free movie card and the ability to get movies to watch anytime. Great location to be able to get to anything you want to do quickly and without tons of traffic.

Check in was a breeze and staff very friendly and helpful! The price was great and the hotel has lots of fun things to do. The Beach was awesome! Only complaint was the old appliances in our room. The fridge clicked all night and the AC vibrated +++ The sliding patio door was off track and hard to open and close. I called the front desk and they sent someone up right away to fix it.

The staff was excellent and the view was beautiful. It was very convenient to get to the ocean and pool area's. The pool area's were very nice. The room's were a bit outdated and cheap. The kitchen cabinets, utensils and towels were very cheap. The room was very clean though..

Sean at the front desk was amazing... although the shower current was a little icky and there were bobby pins on our floor that did not belong to me which means the floor was not vacuumed very well. Other then that we had a great time

They put us in a 2nd floor room right above the pool so there wasn't much privacy when we had the curtains open. Bathroom is small but good counter space. All in all not too bad for the money.

Loved being able to have a small kitchen to store things in a clean frig and the use of a microwave was ideal. Room was a perfect size for our much needed vacation.

Great place for kids. Our crew were ages 8, 5 and 5. There are more pools here than we actually used! Lazy rivers, waterslides and right on the beach. We had a 3 bedroom corner suite with a full kitchen...worked perfectly. Only downside is how paper thin the walls are....we heard just about EVERYTHING coming from our surrounding rooms. Make no mistake, this is NO luxury hotel but a great place nonetheless. Close to everything in Myrtle.

Compass Cove was wonderful. Four of my friends and myself went to Myrtle Beach and chose to stay there for Spring Break. We enjoyed ourselves in the lazy river and hot tub for most of the stay because the weather outside was actually quite cold. The staff was incredibly friendly and were always helpful when needed. A bit of a cab ride to Broadway at the Beach but if you have a large group of people that shouldn't be an issue. All in all, we had an absolutely wonderful time and hope to go back soon!

We had a lovely stay at Compass Cove and enjoyed the resort very much. The front desk staff of the resort was wonderful, and quickly responded to our needs. My husband and I arrived before the check-in time, and were given a room as soon as one became available. The resort is a little old, but I thought very clean, and an excellent value.

Initially shocked at the dirty condition of the room, all was corrected after we complained to the front desk. Microwave did not work properly. Most everyone on staff were responsive to our issues. A lot of options regarding pools on-site, being a cold week it was of benefit to many, although we didn't use them.

Nice location, staff very helpful, would go back.

Nice resort with great amenities conveniently located on S. Myrtle Beach

Great view. Lots of constrcution and the rooms were average.

I had to get a hotel room due to an unexpected delay in my travels. I selected the Compass Cove and was a bit surprised based on other reviews to know they gave a very poor score. I didn't hear the construction going on and my room was quiet. The room was clean and very warm and welcoming. I definitely will stay there from now on when I travel to MB. Great welcome from the staff and patient also.

The check-in process was a little slow with a very small lobby for a large line. The buildings, parking and elevators were confusing at first, until we got our bearings. We loved the room.

swimming pool is good

Bring your own COFFEE and other groceries as you have a kitchenette I think in all rooms. This hotel is good for families....great pools, beach and views from the rooms. We didn't have very hot water at all but the views and convenience made up for all. Loud restaurant - not friendly for adult travellers but the breakfast was great (family oriented hotel).....I would go again but definitely pack the right groceries as there is little more than fried food in the neighborhood. The view from the balcony was wonderful. Overall I give it a rating of 4 stars limited to convenience....
