A very reasonably priced hotel with great location and convenient for the main London shopping areas.

Great location. Good places to eat very close to the hotel. The room was clean. Free wi-fi. No complaints!!

We liked this hotel and it worth its money. part of thr room's articles are old and you can find several minor maintanance issues, but it does not affect the overall experience. The cleanliness is good

The best place about this hotel is the location. It is in the middle of it all. Two blocks from the Oxford Circus tube - excellent location. Unfortunately this is where the review goes southbound. Three things majorly wrong with my room. 1) the tub drain would just not drain unless you held the knob. The knob was supposed to be turned and you can just leave it but mine was broke and they couldn't fix it. So take a shower and have water up to your calf. 2) The Wifi is free but completely useless. If you need to rely on Wifi for business this is NOT the place to go. 3) Various outlets in the room were out. In general, the rooms are old and in serious need of upgrade. They are clean mind you but no cleaning is going to fix the need to repair their rooms. Spend the extra money or go to a cheaper part of town and pay the same money for a much better hotel. The staff though is great but they can only do so much.

i have stayed at the saint georges hotel many times the last 2 years and must say that i am always happy. no nonsens basic 4 star hotel with good staff and straight to the point serveice for what it is.i stay there when ever i can.

room was clean and had a nice view. Easy walk to most areas.

I was staying for three nights on business. Based on previous reviews I decided to upgrade my room to superior when booking. The room was pleasantly large for a London hotel and magnificant views of London (14th floor). On the morning of checking out I asked at reception if I could leave my case until later in the afternoon. They gave me a raffle ticket number and said they would be happy to. When I collected my case I asked the guy on reception if have could order me a taxi to Euston station. He told me to take a seat. He then went outside (in heavy rain wearing only a suit) flagged me down a black cab and brought it to the reception. I have to say Iwas extremely grateful for this and was very impressed. I would definitely recommend this hotel whether you are going on business or pleasure.

Friendly staff, clean rooms and comfortable.

Second attempt at a review..... The room they allocated me was next to a few rooms being refurbished and there was dust everywhere. The room was freezing and uncomfortable as the refurb rooms had windows open. Staff did nothing to resolve my issue and just shrugged and apologised. A really dreadful experience and generally the hotel felt a bit rundown. NOT GOOD!

This hotel was recommended by an individual who had stayed previously in January and his opinion was spot on. Located on Regent Street, it was near several great attractions and easy Tube access. You could shop, eat, and find whatever you needed. In addition, there was hardly a sound from other rooms or coming from the outside street and we were on the 11th floor. The room, our was two, twin beds, can be on the small side, but you have enough to not feel on top of each other. Clean. Stocked with all you need each day, good staff. Can't go wrong.

I like to save money, but also stay at nice places; Saint Georges did both! The room was comfortable and provided ample space, but the bed was somewhat hard and needed new pillows. The location is great with a 5 minute walk to Oxford Circus Tube and 2 minutes to bus stops. I would stay here again without any apprehension.

The air conditioning wasn't working & no central heating. The room was freezing. The reception told me to plug in the portable radiator, which worked quite well. The hotel is tired looking & so are the rooms. My clean bedding has some marks & staining on it, I can't believe the cleaners didn't see it & change it. The location of the hotel is fantastic but the place is basic at best.

We lived 70 miles from London for three years and never stayed in the same hotel twice. I have now found the perfect London Hotel and I would return in a heart-beat. Five minute walk from the Oxford Circus tube stop; double windows meant no street noise; restaurant and bar on premises with scenic outlook (15th floor!); mini-bar, fridge and tea kettle in room; robe and slippers provided; flat-screen TV; helpful, knowledgeable staff at reception; super-fast lift available, even a separate express elevator straight to the top-floor restaurant. Housekeeping staff members were wonderful. Judging by the posted room rates, we got a great deal from Hotels.com. While we were there, Justin Beiber stayed in the Langham, across the street. (His handlers must like the neighborhood, too.) A Post Office is mere steps away for changing money or buying stamps. In short, it was the Best of All Worlds.

Good location. First room was not refurbished and the drains in the bathroom smelt. However a refurbished room was immediately offered, which was fine. Staff were helpful and pleasant.

Hotel was convenient for shopping/eating. Needs for the rooms to be refurbished as they look quite worn. Front desk was extremely helpful.

I was given what I think must be an inferior room that is let out when the hotel is fully booked. It was the only room on the 9th floor on the side of the hotel. It was really small and in need of refurbishment. All of the other rooms had newspapers left outside in the morning but mine didn't. I was very disappointed because on the other two occasions I have stayed at the hotel, the rooms were excellent. I did ask to be moved but was informed the hotel was fully booked. I would recommend this hotel but don't stay in room 917, or I suspect room 17 on any of the other floors!

Perfect location for shopping, 2 min walk from Oxford Street! Service not the best and they had a problem with 3 rooms being broken in to. They couldn't find the booking for the 2nd room and receptionist was serving 4 customers at the same time. Double bed was 2 singles pushed together. Decor was lovely and room was very clean.

They don't offer what they say on there website. Not friendly, bad food and kinda run down.

The main bedroom was very nice but the bathroom was freezing (no heating, no double or secondary glazing) which was disappointing for a 4* hotel. Ended up having to put towels on the floor as it was so cold. I also think I was unlucky getting a room next to the service lift which was very noisy and was constantly on the go from about 5.30am! In the evenings I had to turn the TV up just to hear it. The receptionists were very nice and the the room was well cleaned but don't think I would stay again for the price (unless I could guarantee getting a warmer bathroom and one away from the service lift).

Traveling with my daughter so requested a room with two twin beds. The mattresses in the first room they gave us were so worn out they looked more like bowls than mattresses. Informed the desk and they quickly moved us to another room (with slightly better mattresses although still clearly worn). One has to question why they even put us in that first room, the beds were that bad and it was directly across from the elevators . I guess they're just seeing how much they can get away with I guess. Other than the old mattresses, the room was a decent size and clean and quiet, the bathroom also was clean.

Concierge staff inconvenienced by guests. Hotel WiFi horrible. Shuts off for hours at a time. If traveling for business and need WiFi, stay elsewhere.

This hotel is a great regular for me. a great and comfortable place to stay before a day's work or pleasure

Although the lobby is unprepossing, and the corridors were gloomy, the room itself was excellent and the bed quite cozy. I enjoyed a superb rate, the staff were helpful and the location is very central.

The Hotel is very very tired and could do with a complete refurbishment. The rooms are shabby but adequate for a short stay. The staff are very accommodating.

I enjoyed my stay at the St. Georges Hotel. I had never stayed there before and booked it blindly, but the gamble paid off. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. My room was clean and comfortable and more than once, I took advantage of the restaurant on the top floor with it's nice view. In all it was a very good experience and I'll book a room there again the next time I'm in London.

Overall, this hotel is in a fantastic location, located just steps away from many cafes, shops, the Underground, and handy bus stops. I thought the hotel was a great deal for the price. A few ups/downs though. They were nice enough to let us check in very early (a huge plus after a redeye!) but the woman who assigned our room gave us a double despite my having requested twin beds. When I called from the room to ask about it, she told me I had to come back down to the desk. She was then pretty short with me when she said I had requested a double room, until I pointed to the place on her page where it said I actually did request twin beds. She halfheartedly apologized then gave us a room on the 14th floor. She neglected to mention (though there was a letter about a "function") that there would be a wedding reception on the 15th floor that night, and the music and drums were so loud that if I hadn't been awake for 36 hours I wouldn't have been able to sleep. Not sure if she did that intentionally. Make sure you request a room that is NOT on the 14th floor if they're having an event! All of that said, the rest of the staff was very nice and accommodating, even helped us sort out electric adapter issues. The room was a great find in a perfect location, very clean and safe.

Excellent location. Room is very spacious for London standards. Price was great for the quality received. Rooms/hallways could use some freshening up but, overall, a great experience. Staff was very accomodating.

Clean hotel, good location and friendly staff.

There is no doubt, the overal stay at this property was fine. I last stayed here a few years ago. My reservation was in order upon arrival. The room I was provided was acceptable: nothing fancy but perfectly acceptable. The staff were courtious and cheerful.The property is more than a bit tired. The guest room has faded considerably and is in need of a serious "fluff-up". The lobby is inviting. The new elvators are a plus. The "Heights" was great for cocktails and remains one of the best views of London, perched, as it is, on the 15th floor. It would not be my first recomendation to a first time visitor to London, but it certainly meets the needs of a visitor who has modest expectations.

A clean, comfortable hotel, centrally located. Friendly, helpful staff. My only negative was the maintenance in my room - the bathroom heater didn't work and one of the brackets was broken (I reported this, no action was taken, but I was only there for the weekend), also the phone in the bathroom had been removed and there were screws sticking out of the wall, (either replace the phone or remove the screws and repair where they've been). There were scuff marks on the inside of the bathroom door too. The room was clean and recently decorated, though rather gloomy. In spite of this I would definitely stay here again, it was well priced and well situated.

This was a great hotel and the location was superb. The staff was very friendly and quite helpful as well/ My only complaint was that the wi-fi seemed very spotty and I was only able to get on in the evening. In spite of that, I would definitely stay here again and recommend overall.

We spent 4 nights on the 14th floor and overall it was quite pleasant. Our colleague who registered for one night was on the 11th floor -- what a dark, dismal room that was! We tried to pre-book a taxi but the Desk Clerk said that they could not do that but that there was always cabs in front -- there wasn't but eventually another desk clerk came on duty and assisted us.I would only recommend with the Saint Georges with some reservations.

affordable good hotel located in the heart of london

i always stay at the saint geores hotel when possible. staff nice and everything just as i want it to be in a hotel. i usually stay 4 to 6 nights at a time.

Good rooms, close Oxford street and theatre. Quite, AC Nice rooms. Recommended

Sait Georges Hotel is a good choice. The room was a large (by London standards), clean and had a great view. The staff were very helpful and there's a nice, big bar on the top floor. Convenient to the Oxford Circus and Regent's Park Tube Stops. I was very satisfied.

Disgusting! They claimed that they gave us a rennovated room.The bed was so bad that neither of us could sleep, and demanded to be moved next day.Which they did-but the bed was equally poor. The hotel is superficially attractive, but not comfortable. They staff know they have a problem and are friendly and apologetic. Certainly will not stay again

Location excellent, rooms clean and comfortable, room service great. Plumbing needs attention, decor in corridors needs upgrading.
