This place is horrible. The building is very old, not maintained at all, the carpeting has not been changed for decades, Smells very bad (should keep your socks and shows all time), the tiles on bathroom walls were falling in the room we were staying, Door frame rusted, and the room next door to us was either recording or dance studio. There were 24 hour music, and at times I saw up to 12 people coming out and going into the room at different time of the day and night. Service quality on a scale of one to ten was zero. Avoid

Loved it! Just wish we could've stayed longer.

Awful. paid for oceanfront suite and was told I didn't book that room. No way to confirm because of third party booking through Hotels.com. Even with documentation. Total lie. Meanwhile, major renovations were happening on their oceanfront suites. Never again!

Very Happy

Upon arrival..the front desk clerk was rude..but did allow for early checkin. We ask for an upgrade since the hotel was not full..instead we got a lovely decorated room with beautiful appliances and a view of a wall with two birds sitting trying to escape the rain. The mildew smell needs to be addressed. On checking out..the front desk clerk was extremely nice and apologized for the previous clerk and offered an upgrade on our next stay.I will definately stay again when in South Beach..

I travel a lot... like four times a year. This was the first place I have ever stayed that had me calling a real estate agent the next day!! It runs more like a bed and breakfast (without the breakfast!) than a hotel. They have fresh coffee and cookies in the morning. Every person I dealt with that worked at the hotel were super accommodating, friendly and seemed to really care. The room was so spacious, we called it our apartment! The location doesn't get any better than this... smack in the middle of the action. There is a liquor store and groceries around the corner, within a five minute walk. The only advice I have is to make your own drinks in the hotel, bring your own to go cups. Drinks are super large and expensive at the restaurants, and it is legal to walk on the street with your drinks so you dont need to spend all that money on booze.

Wifi signal was really poor there

It's Miami Beach, be prepared to pay more for everything here. Go a few blocks to the west and prices are better and the crowds are less. Hotel is older but kept in descent shape. I've paid more and paid less for hotel, in this case it is what it is. There is a $25 fee at the hotel. Parking is a few blocks away for $25 a day.

Great location and big apartments. Couple of areas where it looked a little 'tired' and had to ask for towels and robes as these had not been restocked after cleaning. Would stay here again.

Very nice location. btween 8th and 9th street. Within 2 blocks of Wet willies, clevelander pool party and Mangos. Gave us a free upgrade with huge balcony

1--Location: AWESOME. Across the street from the beach! 2--Parking. A little confusing. Guy out front for valet parking has a cheaper rate for you if you pay in cash. 3--Accommodations--decent. A little sparse. Not a "wow" but definitely clean.

left my shoes there and called them and they said they did not find them. they were bright green, they were not that friendly and i wouldnt recommend them in the future

if you want south beach, this place is in the middle of the action. walk out of your hotel to sidewalk restaurants or across Ocean Drive to the fabulous beach. Is really condo where rooms are rented out in arrangement with hotel management. Full kitchen with living room and bedroom. Hard to find anyplace like this for the price in the location. Speaking of location, if your room is facing the ocean like ours, don't come home until 2 AM. Music from downstairs super loud (tuesday night??!!) Too bad. Also the add on for resort fee or some such is explained as covering wifi, morning coffee (with oranges!!wowee). Whatever...forget the explanation, its just sticking the customer.

I think that additional fees should be disclosed upfront to all who wants to stay at the hotel. When I paid for the hotel through hotels.com it was clearly mentioned that all taxes and fees paid, however, when I got to the hotel, I was informed that there was an additional $25/night resort fee. Why wouldn't this fee be disclosed upfront when I was booking it and why wasn't the option to pay for it given at that point?! Also, the deposit of $100/night is charged which I think is outrageous. Otherwise, the hotel was nice, rooms were clean. I think the location is one of the best. The staff was friendly but some of the front desk receptionists were completely useless and rude at times.

Have stayed there before and i have no.complaints about this.hotel. Will return whenever i come to southbeach again.

This Hotel is very expensive and bear in mind that you have to pay $25/day as Resort Fee and $25/day for Parking in addition to what you pay as hotel charges...Also bear in mind that you to pay $50/Day/Person if you are more than 2 persons staying in the Hotels.. This overall makes it very expensive....only plus point is the location which is right amidst all the happenings in South Beach... You only get a blocked view of the Ocean even when you pay for an oceanview Room... You can look for less expensive hotels in the same area

We really enjoyed our stay on Casa Grande Beach Suite Hotel & Spa - the spa is not existing anymore. Small, nice hotel, with a very personal, but still highly professionel staff - escpecially the receptionists are always very helpful. The fantastic beach is just across Ocean Drive and also shopping possibilities are close. The room was spacy, clean and nice. One of the reasons that we chose this hotel, was for the kitchen, which, however, had very limited tableware, so the dishwasher was really not necessary with only 2 spoons, 2 forks, 1 small plate, 3 big ones, 2 champagne glasses, 1 normal drinking glass, etc. No big deal of course with the numerous restaurants on Ocean Drive, Lincoln Rd. etc. We would like to go back.

You pay for the location. Everything's within walking distance including beach and restaurants. We didn't use our car once. Hotel is a little old, and all rooms allow smoking so there's a little stench. But they were big and clean. Maid service everyday. If you have motion sickness this is not the hotel for you. Hotel sways like the waves. Also, You'll need to valet your car for $25/day since parking is almost impossible. Overall, it is a great hotel for the money.

The hotel is in a great location and the suite we had is very spacious. The suite has a full kitchen but only stocked with 1 tiny saucepan and 1 tiny pot ( 4 inches diameter)! No salt, pepper or sugar supplied. BEWARE - there is a resort fees of $25 plus tax per day when we checked in. I have no idea how a resort is defined but to me this is a hotel! $25 a day for unlimited coffee, oranges and cookies placed in the lobby ! I think this is a rip off. The staff was very helpful with an request and they make our stay enjoyable. Thank you.

When reserving room, I called to make reservations. I needed a suite, and looked at the pics on the website. once I got to hotel and checked in, the room was not a suite, but two beds( which I requested), but not the separate room. I went back down stairs and Ronnie, got me into a suite which made my stay a lot better. Room clarification should be clearer.

The location is terrific, the services and amenities very good. But the hotel is situated in the midst of an almost-24-hour party on Ocean Ave. Do not expect to sleep much in ocean-view suite.

This hotel was convenient to South Beach. However, it was old and dated. Our view was the back of an alley. The bathroom was blue 4" tiles from the floor and walls. I didn't take a bath the tub looked dirty. No counter space in bathroom..

Casa Grande provides condo style accomodations for the traveler who wants a little more from South Beach. I book this property because each suite has a full kitchen, living room, dining table, bedroom and bathroom. You could easily spend a weekend or a month at the Casa Grande in South Beach and feel the comforts of ample space rather than just a small hotel room. Be prepared, because the parking situation on Ocean Drive and South Beach as a whole is challenging. Parking garages are $20 per day and hourly meter parking is $1.25.

The MAJOR problem I had was that it took 3 hours to get into our room when we had reservations. There is no reason to wait that long for a room that should have been reserved. This was totally unacceptable. The room and servce after that ordeal was very pleasaant and satifying. Hotel location was perfect. Would reccomend this hotel to others but would caution them about long checkin situation.

This place is close to the party scene on Miami Beach. I stayed with three other girls and found it clean and comfortable. Being across the street from the beach was great. There are places to eat and drink everywhere you turn and many of the clubs and night spots are walking distance. The service kinda sucked. We had to call the front desk to get room service and even when reported the cleaning lady came around sooo late. Also there is a $25 per night fee I was unaware of which covers morning coffee, cookies and oranges. If youre not the first one down there the cookies are always gone. We also booked a room with 2 king size beds with a sofa bed also available. Instead we received a room with 2 queen beds and no sofa bed. We were comfortable but definitely not what we expected. Overall I would use this hotel again because of the closeness to the Miami Beach scene.

Disappointing!! Location good, reception and staff fine. Room not what was promised, no sea view provided, inadequate rooms/ beds, not made up properly, insuffient towels, decor poor (must have been blind whoever painted it), carpets dirty/stained, furnishing sparse (like we were going to knick whatever wasn't strapped down). Get the impression the hotel put us in any room left free, not the one we'd booked, expecations fell well short. Offer to discuss with Manager never transpired, won't be going back (to be frank Miami best seen on CSI). Cheers, and best of luck....

it is not a hotel but a apartment complex with 1 bed room apartments. Everything was good except the carpet which was very dirty.Only stayed there as it is in front of the south beach .

Hotel with only one front disk.. No towels... You only hear ( I am here by myself) so!!!! Why r u here by your self?!?! Understaffed!! And 25 a night resort fee... Who called this garbage cane resort !!

Our hotel room was in a great location, right in the middle of all the actions. Lots of restaurants to choose from & close to the beach & shopping. Our suite had a full kitchen & lots of space for our family. The only complaint we have is that our room could have been a bit cleaner, especially the floors. Ronnie at the front desk was very friendly & helpful.

Overall the experience at this hotel was good. The first day we had issues with poor customer service from both the day and evening staff but the second day, everybody was great! The rooms were nice and spacious. Although we were right on the strip, noise wasn't a problem. Besides the poor customer service that improved, I had a great time! Great location in the middle of everything. I would stay here again if I were to go back to Miami

Woww....A kitchen? they had ONE 6" frying pan for cooking. No wonder the kitchen was so clean... the beds were grossly uncomfortable, the bedding, OLD, dingy, the pillows smelled. Would never stay there again!!! If location is your only concern, go for it, but it didnt cut if for us.

I piad so much money for deposite . Everything was perpect but that made me little mad.. (2day 3night ,2 person $600 deposite)

I had a very pleasant stay. It has a perfect location with very friendly staff.

Our suite was much bigger than exspected, very clean and comfortable. Disadvantages are only the lack of a hair dryer and the bed, which wood makes noises if someone moves. The location was inbetween of several nice restaurants and very close to the beach. There are no free parking areas, our car was driven to a garage and provided back on request for a daily fee of 25 $, additionally to the total online booking costs of hotel.com they charged at check in a resort fee of 25$+Tax per day (for coffee, tea, aples and towles?!), which appears in the information text after we submit our online booking. In deed the suite is much more expensive if you don´t book via hotels.com, but I don´t think that this is a good explanation for hidden extra costs! and if we booked online we compare hotels by price and this hotel really takes part on the competition on an unfair way!!! Besides this incomfort with the additional fee, the front desk stuff seemed confused and unorganised, and forgot several times what he wanted to do.

This is definitely the best hotel you can get for your money, in the heart of all the nightlife and the hotel staff always have a good attitude and very courteous.. I stayed at every hotel from 5th-15th in the past 5 years and the Casa is my number 1 pick.. Get room 202, balcony overlooks the strip.. Thanks Ronnie

This hotel needs to move with the times and spend money to upgrade all the rooms. Very old and worn furniture only one cup in the kitchen and few cooking items that looked grubby. The first day we went to the our room only to find the furniture all stacked in a pile in the centre of the room and two men painting the walls. The reception said there were no more sea front rooms left and gave us a back two bedroomed suit. When you pay for two sea front rooms that's what you should get? Would not recommend this hotel and read all the small print they get you to sign when you check in at the desk. You will get a nasty surprise.

The location was great but I didn't like that the hotel was not up to my standards when it comes to clean. It was great space for entertaining but the bathroom and the bedroom was to small and wasn't very clean
