Comfort Inn Downtown Near Lake Coeur D'Alene - Coeur d'Alene

Overall my stay was good. It was not close to the lake and downtown but other than that and as described in other posts the weird driveway thru IHOP to get there my stay was fine.

Not very clean really false leading pic of pool and hot tub and the hot tub didnt work right. Customer service was good. Wil not go back again

Not a good area but its not too bad. We used the pool, slept at night, ate the breakfast which was good I the morning and hit the road. The fridge was cold on the room, everything was good.

Marvelous location with a very cheery beakfast room. Only 1 disaster. No lid on coffee pot so coffee did not run thru to pot, instead filled up in container where u put the coffee grounds.

We enjoyed our stay. The hot tub jets were not in operation but the tub was still warm to soak in. I noticed the room and the halls smelled clean. Thank you

Cheerful and helpful staff. Hot tub out of order but all in all a pleasant stay. would stay there again.

The breakfast was great. Nice clean room with fridge and microwave for great price.

Quick ,convenient,quite satisfactory for a quick necessary stop. The neighbor hood has everything you might need. But not a beautiful place to stay.

Once we got some light for the room. We saw that the room had not been vacumned, or the floor in the bathroom needed to be washed around the edges.

Hotel was a decent value, clean room and friendly staff. However it is very misleading to say this hotel is in downtown Coeur D Alene and within walking distance to the lake! This hotel is right off the freeway and unless you plan to walk at least 20 blocks, it is not by the lake or downtown. Hot tub was nice, but pool was very cold for an indoor pool, not heated at all. It is close to restaurants and is an easy drive to downtown area, but the description is misleading. Overall 3 stars.

Nice clean hotel. Friendly, helpful staff. Adequate breakfast. Good price. It's a little confusing finding the entrance to the hotel, particularly late at night (there is a small sign by the street telling you to cut through next to IHOP) . I pass through this area fairly regularly and this was our second stay at this hotel. I would definitely stay here again.

The room was clean, the desk personnel were friendly and helpful. A safe affordable option. Nothing too fancy.

Dear Sir / Ms, After working in the Hotel business for 18 years at the Las Vegas Hilton, I believe I can state with some amount of authority that your best asset is by far your employees ! Shenna, on day shift, and Dana, on night shift both were exceptional. How did you find not just one, but two such perfect employees. Both were courteous, knowledgeable, helpful, efficient. The room was exceptionally clean. This was our first visit to Coeur D' Alene, and our first visit to a Comfort Inn. THANK YOU for making this our most memorable vacation ever, Jerry and Karen

The front desk was very helpful and friendly. Overall, our one night stay was very comfortable. The location was very ideal! Keep up the good presentation of your hotel!

have to say they put me on the first floor , next to ice machines, and back into breakfast area, very noise, ice falling @ 3a, kids and dogs barking early, my fault for not changing to second floor,

I reserved adjoining rooms but was told when we got there that there were no more left, they had given them all away. I told her I had reserved them and she very flippantly said well they are all gone already. We were there to check in between 3 and 330. I guess we should have gotten there a day early to check in??

room was not dirty not unclean, but well worn. Staff was great . Breakfast was oknothing dnamic. elevator was working ,but floor was dirty andrug hadn't been washed in a long time. Bed was super hard for me,but lots of pillows. great location just off the freeway, but had to find it behind I-Hop. just needs a super clean -up effort and updating, but it all costs money. good for a stay-over , not a long stay.

All in all the room was fine, but the pillows were way too short for the bed, way too thick, and extremely hard. We also had a mini fridge that sounded like a mack truck in the room with us! The room was clean, and the staff was friendly, but I don't think I'd stay again.

THEY SAID IT WAS BY THE LAKE BUT IN FACT WAS AT LEAST 20 BLOCKS AWAY. WE WERE LOOKING FOR A HOTEL CLOSER TO DOWNTOWN AND THE LAKE BUT NOT THIS ONE. ALSO HAD TO DRIVE THRU I-HOP PARKING LOT TO GET TO IT. OVER ALL VERY DISAPPOINTING.

Staff was great, very friendly no problems with check in at all and she was very helpful. Hotel was in good shape and the room was great. The breakfast was well stocked and when they ran out they quickly refilled it. It runs till 9:30 so no rush to get up earlier then normal just to catch breakfast. Great place to stay just remember to turn by the Ihop.

Front desk staff very helpful!

I found the hotel adequate for a 2 night stay. It was basically a place to rest your head and freshen up. The room and accommodations were very basic and filled the needs of our visit. The morning breakfast was "not" a highlight of the stay and the second day we when out rather than wait for the staff to refill the coffee urns and the other basic 'ingredients" of the breakfast. There was very limited seating and we actually stood outside to eat our food. If this an important feature, you might want to look elsewhere.

We booked this stay at the Comfort Inn in Coeur D'Alene as a stopover. Overall the hotel had a icky, dingy feel to it. You can see filth on the door jams, baseboards and throughout the hotel. In our room, you could see filth in the crevices on the floor, in the grout etc. The entire place needs a hard, deep cleaning. The breakfast was typical, but the layout was completely chaotic. It was crowded and people could not easily get in and out of the very small eating area which was adjacent to the check-in counter. At least one of the waffle machines did not work, and they were constantly out of supplies. The female employee who was at the front desk was also responsible for the breakfast. There is no way to do both those tasks in a timely way. Every was constantly bumping into each other. This was the second or third worst hotel experiences of my life and I absolutely would not stay at this hotel again. I may not stay in Comfort Inns any more because of this experience. In summary, go somewhere else. By the way, you need to go through the IHOP parking lot to get to the hotel. Strange and confusing layout.

Breakfast was nice, egg sausage, yogurt, bread, donuts, blueberry and regular waffle. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. . It isn't the nicest comfort inn I've stayed at but I would stay there again

As noted in an earlier review, finding the driveway was very difficult, especially at night. Again, you have to go into the IHOP to get to the hotel.

The hotel was fine. The staff were helpful, and the included breakfast worked.

Over-all the hotel was fine, but it was so loud. Stomping people upstairs, screaming kids next door. They might have well have been in the room with us, it was that loud.

I just needed a place to stay while catching up with friends in Couer d'Alene. This place is fine - quiet, clean,generic and close enough to the lake to get there for fun & recreation. The hotel rooms in the area were about sold out for this beautiful, hot August weekend. The price for this room was exorbitant - way overpriced for the quality. Fortunately I was able to cash in my free night's stay to help offset the price.

The hotel is just off the Interstate in a shopping district, at least a few miles from the lake.

the description of the hotel says downtown. It is not even close to downtown. I booked it based on that fact so I could meet with some freinds truly staying downtown, so I could have some drinks and not have to drive. It's 20 blocks from downtown. I was not happy with that description. Hotel is a standard comfort Inn - no surprises there
