Hotel staff exceptionally attentive. Warm cookies every afternoon, a nice touch. Right next door to the great Standard Bakery. Only drawback, no room service, but then it appears that no one else wants it. We were very satisfied.

Good location & great help with nearby restaurants/bars. Wonderful downtown area with lots to offer visitors. Great room with sofa, pull out for my son so we didn't have to book another room.

Convenient location, near parking garage if you don't want to valet your car at the hotel. My room was spacious and clean and all I could want for a two night trip to the area.

While the staff were extraordinarily helpful and polite, and the hotel was very clean and the cleaning staff were friendly, there is no airport shuttle early in the morning, there were almost no amenities (e.g., sewing kit). Fantastic location, right next door to a wonderful bakery and by the waterfront.

Bed was comfortable. Staff was very helpful. Clean with a excellent view of the harbor

The Service was Outstanding, Everyone we came in contact with did a superb job.

I had an amazing vacation there. The service was phenomenal from the valet drivers to the desk clerks and housekeeping. I most definitely will return to this same location as well as recommend the hotel to friends and family. Thank u for everything!

Not a better place in Portland..

The staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was beautiful and very clean. With kids the microwave and fridge were very handy. It was an easy walk to everything we wanted to see.

From the time we checked in until checkout the service from the staff at the front desk valet parking and bar tender was great. They were very helpful with directions and offering suggestions on where to dine in the down town. Very easy to find off the 295. Will stay again for sure in the future.

The hotel room was of average quality but the location made it very attractive being close to all of the nice shops and restaurants of the Old Port. The staff was very attentive and helpful.

They had extremely clean, large spacious rooms with nice toiletries. It was convienently located to shops, food and bars. Everything was in walking distance so the car stayed put the whole time. There was no worrying about trying to find a parking space.

the hotel staff was courteous at all times. Once you park you car you are close to the downtown area and there is no need to move your car again til your check out. The breakfast and dinners at the hotel were wonderful. I would definitly book the same hotel next visit to Portlan.

When we made the reservations we asked for a water view if possible. We arrived at the hotel at 11:00 am and we're told our room was ready, but the room for the couple we were traveling with was not. When we arrived to our room, the only view I had was the dumpsters below. At 4:00 pm, our traveling companions were able to check in and they got a water view room. They had made no special requests other than having a room near ours. When I questioned the girls at the check in desk how that could be, they had nothing to say. It's about customer service. They confirmed I had a request in, but could not give me an answer why I didn't get my request fulfilled yet clearly there had been a water view room. All they would have had to do was swap our room for our companion's room. Clearly who ever is in charge of assigning rooms was not on their A game. Plus the rates was the same for either room. Next time will stay elsewhere.

The hotel made my stay in this great city even more comfortable.

Staff was great and knew their jobs. We were promptly greeted when we arrived. Checking out was a breeze also. Found our room to be spotless and very comfortable bed with nice linens and pillows that were great. All and all a great value for the money. Would like to go back in the summer, because it is right near the water and old port section of town.

Very friendly staff. Great room. Had a nice relaxed stay with no issues. Will stay there again.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the hotel for Valentines Day and truly enjoyed our stay. The hotel felt clean and fresh, although are particular room was not as clean I was would have liked it to be (the carpets looked like they needed to be vacuumed again). The location was excellent as it was very close to restaurants and stores. We would be gladly return on another trip.

After spending time in Maine with family last year, I decided to stay as a hotel patron this visit. Without a doubt, the hotel boasts the best view of the Wharf & Commercial Street over any other hotel downtown. The reason I say, "almost an A+" is because the hotel was under-going some very minor repairs which created some messy areas, including the one elevator. This hotel is really a welcoming touch of class in a town that continues to struggle economically. It's apparent once you venture past the cute, downtown Old Port district shops of Commercial, Exchange & Fore Streets. Its not seedy or unsafe, just dated & under-developed. Anyway, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. Especially, if you're seeking a nice view of the wharf. Lastly, make sure to "shop local" which is a huge theme in store windows across town. Hope this helps!

The hotel was very nice and comfortable. The staff was wonderful. The location is walking distance to great shops, restaurants and bars.

Excellent impression. Only one negative: In a 2-bed room with double occupancy, there was only 1 bath towel.

Stayed here one night while road tripping through Maine. Great location, right across from the water front, walking distance to all downtown areas. Hotel, and room were very clean and comfortable. Staff was wonderful, the valet's had great suggestions for dinner and sights to see in the area. We would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling in this area.

We had a wonderful time in Portland, the location of the hotel was perfect! We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go which was a wonderful time and money saver. The hotel was very nicely decorated, clean and comfortable. It was a nice treat to sit in the lobby area next to the warm , cozy fire! I would stay again and will suggest to others wanting to stay in the down town Portland area.

Had a great stay. The bartender was amazing and all of the staff were extremely helpful. Nice rooms, beautiful view of the bay.

Great location across street from Casco Bay Ferry. Bar a bit pricey. Some good restaurants nearby (Ri Ra, J's Oyster House, Gilberts Chowder House). The last 2 a bit rustic but local joints that won't cost you arms and legs with excellent seafood. Gilberts had best chowders and lobster roll. Next block up the hill has a lot more taverns and shops and old town feel. Overall staff was excellent and very cordial/helpful.

Nice hotel in great location. Close to everything and easy to get to

This hotel is a little on the far end of Commercial Street but has a great view of harbor and is within walking distance to everything in town. Comfortable, big room, nice lobby with bar/ restaurant (which was great for meeting visitors).

New building, friendly staff. The breakfast buffet was good (which is good since it was the only game in town on Christmas morning). Restaurant closed Christmas eve, but full menu available in the bar. Price fair. The only criticism is that there was only one chair in a room with two queen beds.

Loved this hotel. Centrally located and very convenient, with firendly wonderrful service. Walking distance to everything. Must go the the STANDARD BAKERY nest doorr!!! They have a salt water pool which is phenomenal. Hey Portland loved my visit

Can't beat the location, as it's right on the waterfront and next door to one of the best restaurants in Portland - Fore Street

While this may not be not a 5-star hotel, whatever star level it is, it is great. Friendly service -- from everyone, from the valet to the reception desk to the restaurant to the housekeepers. Convenient location. Fair price.

just one minor complaint...the restaurant breakfast buffet is not warm enough. the food is soggy & cold.

Easy to access highways and walk all around the Old Port. It was quiet and the beds were very comfortable. The water pressure in the shower was not great and there was no exhaust fan in the shower either. Other than that, I would stay there again.

The hotel was very nice, the room comfortable, well equipped, quiet, and clean. Emmie at the front desk was quite knowledgable about the local restaurant scene and directed us to some great places! The warm fireplace in the lobby was a nice touch. Overall we were very satisfied and would stay here again.

Overall we had a lovely stay at this hotel. I asked for a wake-up call, though, which didn't happen, and could have had dire consequences if I hadn't awakened on time. That shouldn't happen at a Hilton. The staff was friendly and helpful in every other way, and the valet service was especially nice.
