Super 8 Belleville - בלוויל

This hotel is very nice! The outside of it was not very nice looking but the inside was very clean and very comfortable. I enjoyed every minute of my stay.

No complaints. It was what I needed at a price that was reasonable. I just need a one night safe place to stay until I could get back on the road the next day. My room was clean and comfortable. It was quiet and I slept well. I would stay there again when I visit Belleville Illinois.

We were there on business & this seemed to be the most reasonable place to stay. It was close to everything we needed. There were plenty of nice restaurants "quite a few within walking distance", The room was very nice, it was clean & up to date. The only thing I noticed was a little mold on the grout of 4-5 of the tiles by the shower faucet & the shower head had some hard water stain on it & the vent in the bathroom had very little suction, but other than that I was VERY impressed for the price. The large flat screen tv was a plus & the bed was very comfortable. They also have a computer in the lobby along with a "few" things to choose from for breakfast (coffee, juice, cereal & prepackaged pastries) but there were several vending machines for snacks, ice cream & soda outside. It was nice that they had a coke & pepsi machine, since most only have one to choose from. I would recommend this motel to anyone. We definately enjoyed our stay!

Toilets are very small and low to the ground...Bathroom was quite small for the size of the room

This was my second stay at this location. Very close to my show. Very close to restaurants and any other need that might arise. They have changed their breakfast selections...not like it used to be...dont expect more than dry cereal, coffee, and the like. I will stay there again in July.

Refrigerators and Microwaves in each room is always a plus...especially when you don't have to pay extra for it! Convenience store/gas station up the street & local bars with good music, nice crowd & staff, and good low priced drinks within walking distance. However they are stingy with their towels.

Everything was great, with our stay. Except we found a glass beer bottle left between the head of the bed and the wall. Our 6 and 7 yrs old kids found it. housekeeping should have caught that. Otherwise everything was very comfortable and pleasant. We will be back. Thank You.

Very nice people running this hotel.

I love the hotel. It is not close to the freeway but worth the ride into town to see the redo of downtown Belleville. The hotel is clean and although a little older the owners have done a great job keeping up this property. The access to downtown offers plenty of eating establishments. I would say the mattress felt pretty new to me and the flat screen large TV is an added plus with a good continental breakfast.

Satisfactory.

The room was clean and the neighborhood was quiet. It was a good stay for sightseeing.

Walking distance to cool downtown, very peculiar location for super8 - nice downtown spot. Clean, nice pillows, nice bed.

well i liked being that close to fairgrounds. Mold all over bathroom wall. Lack of non smoking rooms bad for business, very poor breakfast

Very convenient location, however not sure if I can book here in future. Confused about non-smoking availability. Apparently that would have been a higher rate. Booking was for smoking but confirmation stated that the room would be non-smoking. Manager gave us access to 3 rooms so that we could choose the room with the least offensive odor. Really appreciate his cooperation, but cannot tolerate smoke and will be more selective now.

Although couldn't get in-room coffee maker to work and it appears that the room had at some time allowed smoking (burn holes and ash trays), we found it to be comfortable and clean with minimal smoke odor. Huge TV was wonderful and not expected. Room was surprisingly quiet. Fridge and microwave nice also. Only thing I could suggest is to clarify the address. The info given was not factual...actually 4-5 blocks east of highway 159. Luckily we were familiar with the area or would not have found it.

My wife called me very early in the morning (about 6:00 am) to tell me how my dad was doing in the hospital. The guy at the front desk refused to put her through to my room, because she did not know my room number. Since my cell phone was dead, this was the only way my wife could reach me. This was extremely upsetting. If people cannot call me in my room, I probably will not stay there again.

The room was clean--not perfect, but I didn't have any serious "EW" moments. The room was humid and smelled like cigarettes without the a/c on, but comfortable and smelled okay if the a/c was cranked. The staff was really nice and helpful. Our room had a large flat screen tv which was great. This is a bargain motel, and we would stay there again.

Nice quiet room. Good king size bed and flat screen TV. No Highway or train noise which was very nice. Breakfast was cereal and bread, pastries, but adequate. Great value for the price. Would definitely stay at again. Also nice chair and foot stool to read paper at night.

This was a very clean and comfortable room. I would stay again.

Hotel was very clean, great location - walking distance to downtown area of Belleville. Only about 30 minutes from St. Louis area. For the price, I was very pleased.

A very basic hotel for the price, actually maybe priced a little high. The first thing that was noticed was the room had a wet musty smell like the air conditioner hadn't been cleaned in awhile. Overall, the room was clean, nothing fancy but adequate for a short stay.

I was born in the Metro-East area and I frequently travel to Belleville to visit relatives. I have stayed in just about every motel in a reasonable distance to the downtown Belleville and have found them to be in a state of decline to the point I don't think I'd put up my pets there, much less my wife and family. The Super 8 Motel is not only well-kept and maintained, with a polite staff (the night clerk has been particularly helpful the last few visits), but is also super convenient - being only a few blocks from the town square (or circle); from there one can take a right or left along IL 159 (a right will take you to the METRO station where you can hop a train to St. Louis as far as Lambert Field), or go straight and if you know your way you can be in St. Louis within 20 minutes - depending on traffic. No, it's not the Hilton, but for the price you can't beat it. If you don't like the continental breakfast, you're a few blocks from Denny's (on the left down 159).

It was the location I needed and easy access. Room was well kept, breakfast came with the room. Will stay again when I'm back in town and need a close place to stay.

I can't say that it was an awful stay, but I can't say it was a great on either. The A/C could work a bit better. The main problem is that I feel it could have been a good $10 cheaper.

The air-conditioning did not work well at all. The room was hot and smelled a little musky. The night manager was unhelpful and very rude. The location, however, was very conveniently located to downtown Belleville. When we first arrived, the bathroom light was out, but maintenance replaced the bulb immediately after we notified the front desk.

This is a motel, not a hotel. The staff is nice enough but not very friendly. My room had a leak above the shower and the toilet leaked too. As a result there were water bugs in the bathroom. I informed the staff but they didn't seem overly concerned. I was going to stay 2 night but ended up only staying one because it wasn't very nice. I do not recommend staying here. The Drury Inn is much nicer and has free meals. I would recommend staying there instead.

Staff was friendly and checkin was quick. However the linens had obviously not been changed as the pillowcases reeked of perfume and makeup. Location in center of small downtown, but area is not that great. Staff unable to assist with even the simpliest of directions within a few blocks of hotel.

I've read some of the other reviews of this motel and found some of the negative comments to be a bit nit-picky and unfair. No, this is not a luxury hotel/motel, it is a well-kept, well-maintained budget motel and for the price is a great place to stay. I have relatives in the Belleville/Metro-East area and have found this place to be a great place to stay when in town. It's central location in Belleville, just a few blocks from the square and Illinois 159 makes it very convenient to travel almost anywhere in the St Louis area. You can take a left at the square, hook on to Illinois 15 and be in St Louis in 15 - 20 minutes, depending on traffic. I have stayed there several times in the last ten or so years and have never found any of my rooms to be dirty. The staff have always been friendly and helpful; the continental breakfast is just that - a continental breakfast - great for the price. If you want more there is a Denny's down by Hwy 15, just minutes away. Take a right and you're in Swansea and Fairview which is loaded with restaurants and eating places. In closing, I have stayed there several times, and will stay there again; and I would recommend it to others. Can't beat it for the price.

very tight parking lot, room very hot when arrived good guest relations, very limited items and quanity for breakfast only room for 6 chairs
