We were disappointed with the hotel all round. Our room was sparsely furnished, small and austere. The en suite bathroom was tiny and the basic shower was absurdly small. There was a lot of close noise from revellers, scooters and council operatives all night forcing us to close the windows. The breakfast was poor and the small lounge drab. All round, this is a 3 star hotel at a pinch but not 4 star.

The apartment was very nice and even bigger than we expected. They even had a small 2nd bathroom which really came in handy. The room overlooked the Piazza San Lorenzo, so we had a beautiful view, but it's also a hangout for loud locals who obviously don't have to get up early for work in the morning. The hotel does have an elevator, but NOT for the section we were in up 3 flights! The staff was GREAT; they were very friendly, and the young man who checked us in even brought up our bags and showed us around the room.

For us the most important thing in travel is the staff , most hotels are clean at 4 star, however it's the personal touch which makes the stay memorable. This hotel when we arrived had a couple of technical issues which was really no fault to the hotel management, however the speed on which the issues were resolved and there continued efforts to make the stay enjoyable during our stay was fantastic none I have experienced even at the well know 5 star hotels, nothing was to hard, it was all done with a smile. Location was great right in the heart of the town walked everywhere, room was the largest i've had in europe...We recommend this hotel, we don't ever provide feedback on hotels however this place is worth the effort....

Rooms are very beautiful, and decorated in what I think of as typical Italian style, rooms are large and very comfortable. The room had a computer and had free internet. Didn't take advantage of the breakfast but it looked very good. The only problem, and for us this was major, was the noise level, It was impossible to sleep until late in the evening until about midnight due to the noise from the street outside and the reception area (the phone in the reception would wake us up). If it wasn't for this we would definitely stay there again.

The place is quite difficult to find, no big hotel sign at all. We looked the hotel about 0,5h even we were only 50m from there. Difficult to find parking place close to hotel. Breakfast was quite poor. Rating 4stars is not correct, maybe 2 stars is closer. Positive is ancient environment and hotel stairs with pillars.

We hadden een appartement geboekt dat niet in het hotel zelf lag, maar in een bijgebouw bleek te zijn. Jammer, maar ook een aardige plek. De slaapbank (i.p.v. twee eenpersoons bedden die we gevraagd hadden voor de kinderen) was slecht en zakte 's nachts in elkaar. Werd prima opgelost door ons een betere kamer aan te bieden voor de 2e nacht. De 4 sterren vind ik wat overdreven voor dit hotel, maar verder een uitstekende plek om Genua te verkennen. Goed ontbijt, schone kamers.

Vänlig och bra personal och mycket bra läge. Frukost buffen var ok men frukosten som levererades till familjerummen (som inte ligger i själva hotellet) saknade det mesta. Helt oacceptabelt att hotellet inte hade air condition i rummen trots att de bekräftade detta vid bokningen. Vi hade 4 svettiga nätter mitt under högsommaren vilket tyvärr påverkade hela resan negativt. Långt ifrån 4 stjärnor - möjligen 1.

Wij kregen een appartementje (heel modern, mooi en proper) op wandelafstand van het hotel. Het ontbijt (dat wel lekker is) wordt je gebracht of je mag komen eten in het hotel. Daar is echter geen echte ontbijtzaal en te weinig plaats. Laat je ontbijt dus maar leveren, dan heb je meer en met meer comfort. Nadeel : er is geen parking aan het hotel en je mag eigenlijk zelfs niet met je auto tot daar rijden. Mits het noteren van je gegevens, kunnen ze hiervoor wel even een uitzondering maken. Er zijn wel een paar betalende parkings in de buurt.

Très agréable appartement de 2 pièces en centre ville à quelques rue de l'Hôtel.Le petit déjeuner est apporté à domicile.Nous étions 4, deux adultes et deux enfants.

Siamo stati alloggiati in un appartamentino in via Banchi. Carino. Peccato per una pianta piena di foglie secche che necessiterebbe di un po' di manutenzione. La colazione non male anche se è molto scomodo mangiare su tavolinetti bassi da solotto. Ho preferito il soggiorno dell'anno scorso in camera in hotel.

I am very pleased with my stay at Locanda De Palazzo Cicala Hotel. The hotel has a superb location in the heart of Genoa's, very close to the beautiful cathedral of St. Lawrence. Much of the original palace have been restored, and is furbished with furniture and lamps in modern Italian design. Spacious, gorgeous rooms. Warm hospitality and great service. My favorite hotel in Italy so far.

Cet hôtel est très bien situé dans la zone piétonne de Gènes. Il n'y a pas de parking prévu alors il faut laisser la voiture dans un parking municipal (nombreux parkings proches mais pas donnés). Le petit déjeuner est très copieux, les chambres pleines de charme, très grandes et confortables, l'accueil parfait. Je recommande !

nous ne recommandons vraiment, mais vraiment pas cet hôtel. c'était un appartement hors de l'enceinte de l'hôtel, dans une rue glauque sans aucun moyen de communication avec l'Hôtel, PDJ emmené dans un sac et pendu à la porte, une chaleur torride sans climatisation nous obligeant à dormir les fenêtres ouvertes avec le bruit des voisins et des rues, et sans supplément de prix les moustiques. Alors NON, NON et Non, nous ne recommandons pas cet hôtel.

Très sympa, très design par contre accueil très limité : enseigne quasi inexistante dans la rue, personnel également, il s'agit davantage d'une location que d'un hotel. Petit dejeuner +/- décevant pour cet hotel haut de gamme.

Schönes, sauberes Hotel, an zentraler, und in der Nacht ruhiger Lage. Zimmer sehr ringhörig. Personal absolut nett und hilfsbereit.

For our first one night`s stay we got a very clean and modern apartment close to the hotel and enjoyed our stay in the historic center of Genoa very much. So we decided to come back again and got another very nice apartment in the same building. The second time, though, the housekeeper had probably been busier, and the floors had been wiped hastily, but again everything else was neat and clean. The breakfast had more variety and was better (good cappucinos!), when enjoyed at the hotel in comparison to the simpler breakfast they offered to bring in the room incl. the same room price. The hotel doesn`t have a parking lot and has to be reached by foot (ca. 400m - we recommend trolleybags), but our empty rentcar stayed safely on a nearby common and camera guarded parking lot during both stays. We will surely stay in this hotel´s apartments again, if we travel to Genoa!

Accueil sympathique, Belle bâtisse, Belle vue. Décoration sommaire des chambres( vieux meubles en pin - Literie a changer urgemment.

L'hotel est idéalement placé, plein coeur de la ville tout proche des quais. L'hotel reste néanmoins trés difficile à trouver.

Un peu difficile à trouver, mais un excellent emplacement

Très bel hôtel, très bien situé au coeur du Gênes historique mais horriblement bruyant!!!!! Deux nuits sans dormir en raison du bruit extérieur insupportable fenêtre et volets fermés! Des doubles vitrages s'imposent!!!!!

This really is a very unusual place to stay. The hotel is an old Palazzo furnished with some trendy designer-items. The location is in the middle of the city centre and the rooms are quite large and have reasonably comfortable beds. There is computer with free internet in the rooms – nice touch not having to be overcharged for something now a days considered to be standard in every home. The very central location besides the pedestrian area, unfortunately also means, that the only access by car is through a really narrow alley – you will have to close in the mirrors and then still only have about one centimetre of free space on each side. You will have to park the car in one of the nearby car-parks at a cost of 25 euro a day. We had a room towards a small square opposite the cathedral. Unfortunately it also gave us a perfect view of the local junkies, who 24-7 sat on some steps just below the windows using their drugs – not the most charming experience. The room was extremely hot and the so called aircondition merely was a hose out the window, just trying to circulate the air in the room. This didn’t help at all and the device was extremely noisy making it almost impossible to sleep. After the first night we choose to use it anyway, as the noise from the street was almost intolerable. Constantly people were shouting and arguing (probably due to the fact that the square attracted so many junkies). When things finally calmed down, collection of garbage started at exactly 2.30 am and went on to early morning. We have never experienced noisier garbage collectors than here. The trucks drove back and forth, containers were dragged over the paving stones and the frequently tinkle of the bottle bins nearly made us crazy. On top the garbage collectors were constantly shouting to each other, probably to drown the noise from the trucks engines. We wondered how on earth they were able to collect garbage all night long on the rather small square behind the hotel, but it turned o

Hôtel très bien situé en plein centre de Gênes, pas loin du port. L'accueil est sympathique, l'hôtel est propre et notre appartement pour 4 était très bien. En revanche il n'est pas facile de le trouver sur la place, il n'est pas très bien indiqué.

The location for sight seeing and enjoying the town could not be better. Also nice that it was really quiet. The staff was great. The house and the idea perfect. But the (nice) design was worn, the white walls not entirely white and the bathroom was really small and not really practical at all (no room for legs at toilet, nowhere to place stuff, nowhere to hang towels, door could not close properly to toilet.

Location was a bit uncomfortable. This very small hotel is hard to find and unreachable by car (you have to walk few hundred meters, with luggage). Room had "cellar type feeling" with low curved ceiling) Windows opened to small dark square, lot of noise during night. Breakfast was very simple/basic. Nice italian/design furniture in the rooms.
