The management was extremely accommodating and courteous. The room was beautifully decorated, clean, and comfortable. The breakfast was second to none - delicious and equally beautiful! I don't think you can go wrong here.

Stayed in the cottage, the bathtub alone was worth the upgrade! A great place to bring bikes and tool around town... Great breakfast brought to the room, and the Great Catsby was a welcome visitor.

We enjoyed the stay - the cooked breakfasts were quite exceptional. The Inn is well located for exploring the town on foot. Only criticism - the bed was a little uncomfortable.

We stayed in the Casper Cottage, so we didn't spend much time in the inn itself. The cottage was awesome. Very romantic, with a fireplace, big jacuzzi tub and a separate entrance. The breakfasts were remarkable and delivered to the cottage back door by our hostess, who serenaded us as she approached the cottage. The only minor flaw in our two-night stay was the bed. Others have raved about it, but we felt like it was past its prime and too soft. This could have just been an issue of personal preference, so please don't let this overly influence your decision to stay here. If you're looking for a cozy nook and a romantic getaway, this is your spot.

We wanted to do a last-minute getaway from the Bay Area and this was perfect. We'd never been to Mendocino before and the Headlands was a perfect place to stay for our first visit to this picturesque town.

The Headlands end truly has the best breakfast and such a wonderful staff. The house is historic and very well maintained. The atmosphere of Mendocino is like being in a different world and that is just what we were looking for. It should be on everyones' "Bucket List!" Thank you Leslie, Kelly and Mitch for a wonderful stay at your cozy and quaint B&B.

Breakfast was fantastic. The inn is so cute. The owners do a fantastic job. We stayed in the Schwitzer room. Loved the third floor and fireplace all set up for you. The room was immaculate. Get used to late breakfasts and no TV!

I stayed in the Barry room, and this B&B gets 5 stars. I enjoyed the outstanding views from 3 sides of the room and the attention to detail (e.g. Q-tips in the bathroom). Breakfast was tasty and brought to my room. A sitting room on the second floor offered hot tea, cookies and sherry from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The room has a real wood-burning fireplace that made my evening when the fog and cold rolled in. By the way, the staff set up the wood and artificial kindling so that all I had to do was strike a match to get it started.

We stayed over the fourth of July: Mendocino a great parade in the old small town American style and perfect weather.. But thew best part was Headlands Inn B&B. Great view of the ocean, neatiful room, great staff, and good food.

I've been visiting Mendocino since I was a child but always stayed with family. This was my first stay at a B & B and I couldn't have asked for more. We stayed in the Barry Suite. We were in the front of the Inn on the third floor with views in three directions. The room was cozy, clean and quiet. Each morning a tray with a bountiful and delicious breakfast was delivered to our door along with coffee. It was really more than we could eat, but that meant we could skip lunch. The staff and owners were gracious, helpful and friendly. I highly recommend the Highlands Inn.

From the time we arrived to the time we left and there AFTER AS WELL, we were made to feel welcome and treated as honored guests. They literally think of every detail and the breakfasts are the best I've had 'ANYWHERE' in the 30+ countries I've traveled to. Absolutely magnificent ~ 5 star quality for certain. After our stay, we found we'd forgotten a charger cord there as they called and left a message. They sent it to us immediately with a nice little note about how nice it was having us and with hopes we'd enjoyed the other specific places we where going, which Denise, the owner mentioned in the note (great memory :-)... Ocean view, great environment, outstanding food and service. This place was the best of the trip! PS - best pillows I've ever slept on. I just ordered 4 of them for nearly $500. A fabulous place to stay at while visiting Mendocino. On checking in, I inadvertently let out that it was our 18th wedding anniversary and the inn keeper had a bottle of chilled wine and glasses waiting up in our room when we got upstairs. The morning breakfast delivered to your room is amazing! (I couldn't eat lunch both days!) Presentation and quality were impeccable. Another lovely bit was the afternoon tea set out in the palour with a dozen varities of cookies, nuts, and sherry!

Innkeepers, Denise and Mitch operate a beautiful bed and breakfast. Everything from comfortable, lovely room accomodations and surrounding gardens to fantastic, full breakfasts and ocean views. All this nestled in the historic town of Mendocino by the sea! This was the perfect place to celebrate 28 years of marriage. We look forward to our next stay.

This is a perfect place to go and relax. Close to the beach and other attractions. All the staff were friendly and very helpful. It was nice to sit in front of a fireplace, relax and drink wine.

The Headland's Inn was an amazing place to stay. We were there for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. It was clean, inviting, restful and better than expected. The breakfasts (delivered to the door in the morning) were out of this world in presentation and taste. A great way to start the day in beautiful Mendocino. The staff was friendly and really helpful! Their recommendations were spot on in terms of places to go for food or beautiful views. I would not only recommend Headland's Inn to friends, but I plan on going back...often.

Headlands Inn was in a great location, right next to the trail that surrounds the town along the water and blocks from all the places you'd want to go in town. The place was very quaint and though our stay was short, it was very enjoyable. The breakfast delivered to your room was a nice touch and I loved eating out on the patio with a nice view of the water.
