Couldn't control the heating/cooling system which made th eroom very stuffy overnight.

No complaints. Would stay there again

Excellent hotel, great location

Room was clean and quiet, service was great. Good Access to major attractions, restaurants and roads.

i give the hotel a B+ overall. the hotel and room itself was great. good location - about 2 miles from downtown newport. grocery store and 24hour pharmacies right around the corner. warm cookies at the desk upon check-in. great breakfast! eggs, bacon, waffles, bagels, fruit, yogurt, cereal, muffins, oatmeal, etc. we stayed in a king bed room and the bed was comfortable! the "heated" pool wasn't that warm, but nothing wrong with it. the whirlpool was great, but afterwards i realized the water smelled. thank god for showers! the parking lot is strange, not many close spots available and it's shared with applebees next door. the view from my room was the backyard of the neighbors and their above ground pool. we also made the unfortunate unknown decision to arrive the same day as the St. Patty's parade. many partiers stayed at the hotel so it was a smidge noisy at times, but not unbearable. we had no trouble sleeping. overall, it was a pleasant experience. i'd stay again!

I would stay here again in a heartbeat! Only reason why I gave a 4 for condition was due to the malfunctioning of the television in the room. At first remote did not work and image was cloudy. They corrected it and gave us a new cable box. However, we were not able to rent movies due to the box not working well. They tried getting the cable company to fix this but to no avail. They offered us a different room but we had already settled in and just did not want to move. Staff was wonderful, very friendly! The hotel is very close to the center of Newport so no problem getting anywhere - easy access.

We were on the second floor non smoking room. But were unaware there were smoking rooms as well on that floor. The smell in the hall way was disgusting. And my wife is allergic to the smoke. They put a remidifier in the hall but why have smoking and non smoking on same level doesn't make sense to me.

The people there were extremely nice and helpful.The hot tub was awesome and the pool was very clean. The breakfast was very good and they kept the food trays full all the time.I would definitely reccomend staying here!

always satisfied with Hampton, this one what one would expect from the chain, also 5 minute drive to downtown Newport

it's a very basic hotel, if you do not mind eating your breakfast with plastic containes and ustensils, wrinkled bedsheets but clean then it's an ok hotel without any fuss. Breakfasts buffet is for everyone's taste. The staff is eage to please you. If I go back to Newport, I will definetly consider this hotel again, in general, the Hamptons are clean and with comfotable matresses.

nice clean hotel. location was good,a little ways from downtown but close enough to beach.I would not hesitate to book again.

Very pleasantly surprised by how spotless the hotel was. Brand new decor, signage. Fabulous breakfast, very kind professional service, slightly removed from Newport but very easy to get to mansions and beaches. Great hotel, would stay there again in a heartbeat!

We were there on business & wanted to B out of the downtown mayhem. Room was quiet even though the hotel was located on a busy street.

Clean room, sheets and bedspread cleaned for every new customer. The staff was friendly and helpful and the complimentary breakfast included hot food. Very nice stay and will definitely use Hampton Inns again.

Hotel is located nearby to pricey Newport, Rhode island. It is in a relatively quiet area close to other mid priced hotels, and lots of moderately priced restaurants in an easy to find location. Hotel was clean, modern, and well run. Staff was friendly, breakfast fresh with abundant seating. Free coffee, tea, and cookies on check-in. We enjoyed the many historic sights to see in the area. Nearby Fort Adams is of historical interest, and an excellent location to watch time trials for the "The America's Cup" sailboat race.

Hampton Inn was a great choice. We were only about a half hour away from all the action. We were able to lay low or spend a night on the town without having to drive too far. Staff is great, and allowed us to have a late checkout when I told them we didn't have a wedding until 2. Very friendly and I would definitely go back in the future.

We were impressed by the quality of the service- the front-desk called us after we checked in to make sure all our needs were met. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast was terrific for our family- lots of choices for everyone and good.

The fresh cookies at checkin & variety of items for breakfast were awesome. The front desk service was expedient and polite. However, 1 of the 2 reasons we booked this hotel was for the jacuzzi which was broken the day we arrived and was not being fixed until the day after we left; this was a HUGE disappointment since we looked forward to the jacuzzi after sight seeing for medical ailments. I wish I had known in advance so I could have canceled my reservations and found a different hotel since there were 6 of us that were inconvenienced by this.

This was a great weekend getaway hotel. A couple miles from downtown Newport... so plenty to do close by. Hotel staff was fantastic. Will definately stay again.

WE ENJOYED OUR STAY VERY MUCH. THE HOTEL STAFF WAS VERY HELPFUL AND ATTENTIVE. THE ROOM WAS CLEAN, SPACIOUS, AND QUIET. THE HOTEL ITSELF WAS AN EASY COMMUTE TO ALL NEWPORT PLACES OF INTEREST, RESTAURANTS, AND SHOPPING.

Great location, comfortable and clean. I was surprised to see a mini fridge and microwave in our room. That would have been super helpful if we had been travelling with our daughter. We were very happy with the room and thought the price was extremely reasonable.

Location was convenient for enormous amounts of sight-seeing with a variety of restaurants and pubs to choose from. Hotel staff were accommodating, friendly and respectful in their interactions. Breakfast provided different choices each morning and was filling; the coffee was always brewing. The pool and jacuzzi were clean and warm as I expected them to be. Parking was convenient to an entrance door. Room service and housekeeping were precise in their responsibilities. This is the hotel chain that I prefer to use and will search for in the areas that I need to travel.

The "king" suite was not a suite at all. Just a large room with a pull-out sofa. Only 1 TV, not at all comfortable with 3 people.

I searched for hotels on Hotels.com in the Middletown area with the criteria of 2 adults and 3 children and the Hampton Inn and Suites was one that came up as available. The room description had 2 queen beds and under amenities was a sleeper sofa or rollaway bed. However, none of the rooms at this hotel can fit a couch or rollaway bed. When speaking with customer service at Hotels.com, the representative indicated that the amenities listed are what the room "might" have but only 2 queen beds were guaranteed. She said, accepting a booking with 5 in a room does not mean that there will be 5 places for people to sleep. Kind of seems odd and misleading to me. While the hotel staff was apologetic and trying to help, there was nothing they could do.

Ten minutes from Newport shopping/mansions & local beaches. Hotel well maintained. Not a gorgeous location...in business district...but liked NOT being in the chaos of Newport & plenty of parking. We enjoyed the Second Street beach very much. If you're an ice cream fan the Newport Creamery (a minute away) is a must! AND...if you enjoy gardens we highly recommend Green Animals just 15 minutes away. We chose to do only one mansion...the Breakers...worthwhile. Enjoy...:)!

업무차 갔다가 이틀간 머물렀습니다. 주변 경치도 좋고 호텔 시설도 참 쾌적하고 깨끗했습니다. 아침식사도 맛있었고요, 다음에 로드아일랜드에 간다면 다시한번 머무르고 싶습니다.

Buon albergo pulito e confortevole con ottima rima colazione inclusa. A 5 min di macchina dal centro di Newport . La zona circostante e' industriale commerciale, quindi bruttona, ma silenziosa ed ordinata. Complessivamente soddisfacente

Stayed here for the Newport Folk Festival. Clean, nice breakfast although it´s a shame it has to be paper and plastic cups and plates. Really nice beds and very friendly staff. I would have prefered though to stay even more down town, it got so crowded with cars in the afternoon, hard to find parking. And too far to walk with young kids.
