Great hotel by the train station. Its a 15 min walk to the Promenade, you really cant go wrong.

The hotel was very easy to find from the railway station and only about 15 mins by bus from the airport. Staff were all very friendly but Norbert was exceptionally helpful and friendly! Very close to tram line & bus links too - or a pleasant walk from Old Town if you prefer. The only thing not ideal about our visit was the weather - but the hotel did have umbrellas to lend to residents too! Would definitely go back to Best Western Riviera again!

Love the hotel

Great location (only 1 min walk to the train station and direct bus link from/to the airport). Takes approx 20 mins to walk to the main area of Nice. The room was clean and convenient and the breakfast was good as well.

We were very pleased with our three night stay in hotel Riviera. The hotel is simple and basic and met our needs for the few days.The receptionist we checked in with was very welcoming and helpful and he was a cheerful addition to the hotel. I would recommend it for a short break

The hotel is very close to Nice Ville train station, and it is only a short walk away from the city centre area. The rooms are very clean and nicely decrorated, and reception staff are very friendly and helpful.

Old hotel in Nice near the railway station. Booked this hotel because it was on the bus route to the airport which we were travelling from the next day. Good for bus services around Nice and easy to get to most places. Public transport is cheap in this area. The streets around the hotel were a bit on the rough side. Some noise from the road although we were on the sixth floor so not too bad. Free breakfast was OK but not exceptional.

I didn't love or hate this hotel. I had intended to stay only in Nice to go to Monaco via train, but it was clear the hotel wasn't aware of the schedule times and halfheartedly told me that they knew for sure the train ran every half an hour. The location is next to the train station which was convenient, but always filled with many young men walking the streets (not the best neighborhood to find yourself at night). If you are staying to see Nice I would stay in the other Best Western closer to Old Nice.

Hotel well located for town, old town and beach. 10-15 minutes walk at most from any of these attractions. Friendly , attentive staff . Room a little cramped but beautifully maintained. Breakfast fine but the egg boiling machine needed some explanation. Lunch bag a bonus. Have visited Nice a few times and this is our number one hotel. Hope to return,.

The room were spacious and comfortable, the train station and a supermarket were within a 5 minute walk and the staff were happy to assist with any request. very highly recommended.

Staff were very helpful. Hotel is rather tired and a number of breakfast electrical items didn't work. Location of the Hotel was excellent fo rus being very close to the rail station

Buffet breakfast and free wifi was very nice. Room was a little cramped but clean. Hotel staff were very nice and professional.

Yes, it is a little bit of a walk to the main area, but if you don't mind that (I didn't) then it is a great hotel (esp. for early morning trains out of Nice). But the neighborhood is dodgy and walking around at night wasn't the safest.

Hotel stay was very pleasant, it has a perfect location. Just few minutes away from the train station and a nice short walk to the beach. It was very kind of the hotel to provide lunches to go, along with a nice breakfast. Great stay for the money!

It's a decent budget hotels. Rooms are very small and the walls are very thin, and you have to walk for 10 minutes to get down to the beach and most popular restaurants. Slightly uncomfortable area at night, good if you're traveling by train.

Helpful personnel at reception. Very close to bus stops and train station.

Three minute walk from Nice ville railway station. Hop-on hop off tourist bus operates from outside the station. Blue tourist bus also operates from the railway station - takes you down a fanstastic scenic route to Eze, Monaco, Monte Carlo, and even as far as the border town of Menton for the price of 1 Euro each way!! It is a short trek from the hotel to the closest tram station that takes you to Garribaldi Square for example.

Very professional, gentle and gracious attending hotel personnel ready to help the customer made all the difference.

Service and staff excellent. The reception staff did a wonderful job. Friendly, efficient and a great help with travel advice. Location of the hotel to transport facilities was very good. Room was as expected in France, functional.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. we enjoyed the daily breakfast and box lunch. Close to the rail station,tram, and tourist information.

We stayed a night here - good location for the rail system although the surrounding area is not the most upmarket. The hotel is clean and the room, tho' small, had everything we needed. It smelt as if someone had smoked in it despite the hotel being non-smoking but opening the window meant that was not a major issue. Good breakfast and staff who are unfailingly pleasant and obviously aiming to please.

A good hotel regarding position - the tram is very near as is the station but there are very few decent restaurants nearby. For two ladies, this posed a problem as the area is not a good one to be walking in at night. Friendly staff, packed lunch a plus and breakfast ok if a bit repetitive. Good value for money.

Our stay at the Riviera was very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good. We stayed many times at other BW hotels, and if we had known that the Riviera is so nice we would have planned for a longer stay.

We stayed in the hotel for 3 nights in January. The hotel is located close to the railway station and just few minutes from the main shopping street and 10 minutes from the beach. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are not very large but they are very clean with comfortable bed and a flatscreen TV with 2 english and 1 german channel. The bathroom is very clean and has a bathtub. The breakfast is fully satisfactory with variety of food to choose from. The hotel has a free WiFi. The free lunch package every day is great. It contains sandwiches, chips, fruit and bottle of water. If you are looking for super luxurious hotel, then this one is not it. But if you want a hotel with comforatable, very clean and nicely decorated rooms, then this is the right place for you. Friendly staff, free WiFi and lunch package are great. We would definitely choose it again.

It was so good to arrive at Nice Rail Station and take a short walk to our Hotel, be greeted warmly then given a cool fruit juice. The reception staff were warm and welcoming at all times as if we were very special. They gave excellent advice and even researched information for us about the Pre- Alps then brought in a heap of brochures from the info Centre To top it off when we returned at the end of the day the staff were interested in how our day went and what we had done. Our room was good size with a balcony, comfy beds and a very nice bathroom - we asked ourselves is this really only a 3 star it was so nice. Breakfast and the lunch box were superb.Plus the Hotel put us on to a fabulous reasonably priced nearby cafe, we had to go back again it was so good. We did stay at 5 star hotels when on tours and they did not compare with the personal touch at Best Western Riviera.

the rooms are somewhat small otber than that it is excellent all around

The staff was extraordinary, anything that we requested was taken care of, very willing to make you happy and with a smile, they were very concerned about each guest, I would definitely go back

Great Location, good breakfast,and the manager Nobert & Asisstant Maeva gave excellent asisstance and daily lunch box very handy to have when away from home.

Excellent budget hotel as a base for visiting other towns as well as Nice itself. Train & tram within 5 mins walk. Good clean rooms with daily servicing of towels etc. Good buffet breakfast & packed lunch was a bonus.Would stay there again without doubt & tell family & friends to do the same.

It is amazing that for the price we paid, we not only got a good room in a good location, we also got a welcome drink, breakfast each morning and a lunch to go with chicken salad sandwich, water, chips and sliced apple. Great value! The staff is exceptional as well. They gave out information without being asked. Only the air conditioning in the room didn't work very well. Only really needed it one day. A few seedy and homeless people in the area as well, but the hotel locked the doors by 9 pm anyway.

Location of hotel is near the station,bus and trams.Easy to find,just left when you leave the station and down the road for 2 blocks. Hotel was clean and functional.Staff friendly and helpful.Lunch packs a blessing!!! Breakfast basic,but more than enough to choose from. Neighbourhood not all that upperclass,but safe to move about. We would stay again in this hotel,should we return.

We chose to use public transport everywhere so this hotel was perfect as it is an easy walk from Nice railway station -remember to turn right out of the front door of the station as numbering is iffy - and it is another easier walk to the no. 99 bus to the airport. Once there we had enthusiastic and professional welcome from Natalia who also provided the free kir when we'd settled in. We had free buffet breakfasts, free little lunchtime picnics every day and great tv. The room wasn't large but had a little balcony, very good bathroom, tea and coffee making, sensible cupboard space. The service was allover excellent and caring. they were keen to give us tips about eating, sightseeing, shopping and couldn't have done more. Just don't go out at night late in the neighbourhood, as we did as slightly timid older people, but fine during the day. You can walk to the no.100 bus - about 30minutes through the old town where for one euro each you can reach Monaco in half an hour on the coastal scenic trip through pretty towns. For the same price one could go from Menton to Cannes, but it's a four hour trip.

Staff were polite. the location is a 15-20 minutes walk from the sea, but in a neighborhood I did not like full of sex-shops prostitutes and ... The breakfast was quite basic, but OK for a few days. The hallways were too dark, with no convenient lighting system. You have to walk to the light switch in a fully dark passage.

This one night stay was better than expected. While the room and shower were small, the staywas great. Breakfast was included, as well as welcome drink and a lunch box, which was a great plus. The staff were so nice, giving maps, directions, bus and train schedules. They could not have been nicer. The hotel was clean and a good value for 3 stars. The neighborhood is not the best, but you trade the convenience of the train station for a less than charming area. It was fine and your at the tramand out of there in no time.

We recently stayed at the BW Riviera for one night before heading to Villefranche. The location by the train station is why we stayed there. Although the neighborhood is a little unsavory and the hotel is a little hostel like the staff really shined. We dealt primarily with a gentleman named Norbert, he was enthusiastic, extremely helpful and overall a nice person. Although we will probably not stay here again due to the conditions of the room, the staff were excellent.

I think that the hotel is very well located about ten mins walk from the sea front and right beside the train station which is brilliant for hopping on a train to cannes of Monaco. The rooms were nice but a bit small for moving around in. However the breakfast was lovely and it was really handy getting the very nice packed lunch each day, this saved time when going on day trips. The staff at the hotel were extremely courteous, helpful, and welcoming. I would highly recommend this hotel, if you are looking for a very posh hotel this is not one, but it is very adequate if you are there for a few days sightseeing. Vera keyes. Ireland.

I would have to agree with all the reviews I read about this hotel when searching for accomodation in Nice.Very friendly and helpful staff.Very clean accomodation and while the avenue Thier is not the most attractive area it very accesible to the main streets of Nice.Wonderful stay in Nice and the hotel added to our great stay.

We have just returned from a short break with our 8 month daughter. The hotel was fantastic and met all requirements; free cot!, great selection of food at the breakfast buffet, clean room, fridge, sink large enough to double as a baby bath and really helpful staff. The area was a tad dodgy, but only a few mins walk to the beach and the city centre.

The major strength and the major weakness are the same: It's near the railroad station. Not a nice neighborhood, although better in the direction of the hotel than in the opposite direction.

Clean, comfortable, helpful staff, good breakfast - would recommend to all. Our room was on the top floor so we had a fantastic view over the rooftops of Nice. Only niggle - bed quite hard! Location great. Walkable to station, tram or sea front.

Very very friendly staff. Excellent service for the price listed. Got breakfast and lunch included!!!!!!. What more can you ask for. Excellent location as well. Just a stones throw from Gare Nice Ville and to all local amenities. Will definitely recommend this hotel and will also revisit if ever in Nice. Cheers!!!!
