Cape Shore Inn - South Yarmouth

I enjoyed my stay emencley.

We stayed at this hotel for Columbus Day weekend. The location was perfect to get to everything we wanted. We didn't go as far as Mashpee and Falmouth or Truro and P-Town but everywhere in between was easily accessible and visited. The hotel staff was very polite. Our fridge didn't work and the gentleman hopped right on replacing it. I will say that even though it was recently redone you can still tell it is an older hotel body with newer bathrooms. But the room was clean and even though it's on the main road it was quiet (we had a room farther in the back). I like that every room has outdoor access. It was simple and the rate was right. They offer complimentary breakfast too. We just didn't take them up on it.

The gentleman that greeted me upon arrival was very nice. Although the room was quite spacious, it smelled bad, the chair fabric looked very dirty, the toiletries were nasty with the bars of soap paper already wet , the tissue box was empty, the towels were very thin and left white lint over your body and there was no clock in the room. I also was able to see the cleaning cart and the rags and cleaners looked very out dated. The hotel was in a decent location, but I won't stay there again.

It's all about what your looking for! We were looking for a cheap, nice and clean place to sleep for a couple of days because we had so much things that we wanted to do that we were not going to be at the motel much. And we found a great place for our needs! The people who own this hotel were very helpful and very nice toward their guests. Breakfast was for sure not a 5 star breakfast but it was much better then i expected, you have a lot of choices like different kinds of bagel, cream cheese, orange juice,coffee, cereal, milk, croissant, fresh coffee....everything you need for a good breakfast. The room were very nice and clean, the bathroom has just been renovated and looked very good and was spotless. It smelled a little stuffy when we got in, but we opened the window and the smell went away. Its 5 minutes drive for sea gull beach with is a very nice and popular beach where theres bathroom, food and refreshments. Had a great time there!

We stayed one night with our family and were very happy with the cleanliness and service. Very nice pool with comfortable chairs and rooms were spotless. Owners were helpful and gracious. Convenient to everything. Will definitely stay again. Janice

Staff was friendly and helpful, but the condition of the hotel shows its age and deferred maintenance. But then that is reflected in the price, and that was my priority.

The price was right. The location was right. But this place needs a refurb, especially the bathroom. The room itself was fine, but the bathroom was bad. Holes in the walls, chipped procelan, painted over windows, etc...I consider myself pretty easy-going and do not use the internet to complain annonomously, but hotels.com asked, so here is my opinion.

Best price in Cape Cod but unlike other great low priced motels I've been in, this one this didn't make me feel like I got a good deal. It was cheap in price & cheap in quality. If you're not picky, it'll work.

Pictures of the motel looks better than present state. Worse maintenance situation. Room was not cleaned before we enteren . After the first nigt some hoovering was done. The bathroom too small and the bathtub too dirty to be used. Breakfast (included in price) is very very simple (bread, bagels, gelly, butter, thee, coffee and muffins).

Room was clean & basic. Motel is vintage. Staff very friendly & helpful. Would have no problem staying here again.

When we walked into our room there was a smell that was truly unbearable. I immediately went to the desk ready to check out but the front desk clerk offered us another room. Reluctantly we looked at the next room and found that it was ok. Rooms were average size. Bathroom and furniture was outdated. A/C was a wall unit that was too high to reach and you had to stand on the bed to turn on. Went downstairs to get a soda from the Coke machine and it wasn't working. Definitely would not stay there again. I would spend a few extra dollars and stay at one of the more upscale places nearby.

Good value-older motel but clean and comfortable.

This was a very bad experience. The pictures posted on the Hotels.com site show a better maintained motel. When we pulled in, the hotel itself was run down. The bed in our room was broken and there were no other rooms available for us to move too. In the staff's defense, they did offer to call a maintenance man. We made do and slept with our heads at the foot of the bed. The rooms were very poorly maintained. Also the same manager that we spoke to about the bed, sent another customer to our room at 11pm. He had rented the same room twice with the same broken bed. The pool was clean but run down and not as nice as pictured. The manager mentioned that they would not charge our credit card for the room. We are waiting to see if we are refunded or not. Would not recommend staying here for more than 1 night and only if there were no other options available. This room was not worth what we were charged.

The motel was below what we expected. We were simply looking for a place rest our bodies during a July 4th weekend that spanned from Yarmouth to Provincetown. The location was very good; right on Rt 28. 1/2 mile from the beach, across from mini golf, near restaurants and the supermarket is nearby. The checkin was easy. The room LOOKED clean. But the bathroom towels had hair on them, and not ours. The tub didn't drain. The bed spreads had holes in them. The latter two things were not very big to us, but the towels with hair is unacceptable. Its too bad, because for a night or two, its a good spot.

The Motel was the worst of all places we stayed throughout our 3 weeks holiday. The outside appearance was old, the pool was not in use for at least a couple of years and the parking lot was ruined. The rooms were the worst. They were dirty, it was obvious that all the rooms (we checked others) used to be smoking rooms which gave an awful smell. Furthermore, the sheets and the bed itself was dirty. The bathroom was terrible. Furthermore, the room was noisy and it was impossible to get to sleep cause of the noise from the airco from three rooms further. This place is not more than a roof without any comfort. Zero star motel.

This motel was gross. I suppose it's what I should have expected, but it seemed like they went out of their way to make it as disgusting as possible. Plus, the pool had no water. Lame.

This place was horrible! Although it was advertised as non-smoking, all the rooms smelled like smoke (we had a large party stay there) and there were cigarette burns in the sheets. When we first arrived, the hotel manager was in his car attempting to leave! It was 9:10PM but the sign on the door said the office was open until 10:30. Also, the hotel lists one of its main amenities as a pool, but we went in mid-June and the thing wasn't even filled yet! The manager said, "We were planning to fill it tomorrow" both of the days we were there, but I'm sure that wasn't true.

Les chambres sont exactement comme sur les photos, tout est neuf et impécable. Le personnel est super gentil. La piscine est magnifique, les enfants ont adorés. J'étais au deuxième étage ce qui est préférable pour ne pas entendre marcher les voisins. Je vais y retourner l'an prochain pour visiter d'autres plages à Cape Cod, c'était de belles vacances à prix abordable! Chantal
