Royal Decameron Club Caribbean All Inclusive - ראנאווי ביי

My mom, my 3 year old son and I checked in at about 2:30pm, we were told the room wasn't ready but we could go to lunch, that was fine since check-in is at 3pm. We had lunch and returned to the front desk at 3:15 our room was ready. A bellman came and took our stuff to the cottage, the room appeared clean. The only drawback was the floor never seemed like it was wet wipe it was on the dusty side. Besides that all was wonderful. I didn't see the kids activity, i didn't ask for it as the age ranges from 4 _up, i think it should include younger kids. Our cottage never had an outside light and we were way in the back. And man the dogs next door are horrible with barking however once you fall asleep you don't hear them. The food has a wide variety but it lacked flavor and dessert was not the nicest. Besides all the bad stuff our vacation was wonderful and we would return.

I took my mom and grandma to Royal Decameron Hotel for mothers day,our stay @ the hotel was grate we enjoy ourself and the entertainment crew two tumps up for them. The entertainment make a difference in my stay,mom and grandma had a ball!! they wish they didnt have to leave. The quality of the food is good everything i had was perfect. "The food taste good" only problem is u have very little options to choose from. Special big up goes to Jason, Junior,Princess and Candy also Dave and chedder fr the front desk. I will definitely be going back as was promise on my departure.

Do not stay here. I will never stay there again or recommend to anyone

I've stayed in Montego Bay and Runaway Bay over 8 times. This hotel is my favorite. It's not a mega-big resort....very relaxing and spread out. The cottages or the suite building are best. AVOID THE COURTYARD ROOMS....they are simplified hotel rooms and not nearly as nice as the courtyard bungalow or the all-suite building. People are wonderful...never have a problem with service....a few tips go a long way!

it was good. I would have like a better variety in entrees, Outside of that, everything else was to my liking. My wife and I would recommend it strongly and will visit again.

The cottage arrangement was unique and a welcomed difference. Once you get inside the hotel you are no longer aware of the surroundings. The Entertainment team worked extremely hard to keep us entertained.

It rained the entire time I was at the hotel. There was water every where the walk way was flooded but what impressed me was how quickly they cleaned up after the rain. Where did the water go I asked ?? The room was huge so much space, the bed was soft and nice with a warm comforter for the evenings when it got cold. I throughly enjoyed my stay here. The food not so great but otherwise I had a wonderful time .

my stay at this hotel was not bad,the food at meal times could have been alot better i think,i e' it"s ok if you are a lover of chicken....

The staff always seemed welcoming and pleasant. the food was quite good. the rates were reasonable

Our stay at Royal Decameron Club Caribbean was great, I reserved bungalow, it was spacious, clean; the staff was very friendly and helpful. It was my boyfriend's birthday and they helped to organized a surprise for him. The food was good, The surroundings excellent. Hoping to return again soon. He loved the quietness of the place.

Beautiful property, hotel rooms need renovating. Need better cooks and variety in authentic Jamaican breakfast cuisine. Internet connection was badly lacking, if you are connected for 5 mins straight you are lucky. Room towels and restaurant napkins need to be replaced. Hotel has so much potential, just needs some work.

Bar service was below par and meals lacked adequate variety. Otherwise, the experience was as good as one could expect for the price.

I had a fantastic time at Royal Decameron club carribean! I have been very unwell and I went for recuperation, and I feel so much better as I didn't need to worry about a thing. Just relaxing and eating good quality food! I will definetly recommend this hotel to friends and family! I stayed in the garden view cottages and they were absolutely beautiful, well maintained, loved all the fruit trees in the gardens and the hammocks around the property, simply stunning. Only negative was the glass buttom boat, I felt they needed a new one basically was alittle rickety! Fantastic holiday, going back in 2014, can't wait!

Firstly, the rate was very good. The reception was excellent. Though our room was a little away from the general activities, we liked the quietness of the courtyard. The staff dining room staff was not bad aside from the fact that they were a little 'young and inexperienced". Generally, we had a fairly good time.one problem, the room scent turned us off - deep-seated smoke scent for the total stay. The vents could use some cleaning. - suggestion : have smoking and non-smoking room/sections. Secondly, since there is no brochure have the events of the day overtly posted so guest know what will be happening without asking all the time.

Admirable cleanliness and upkeep of facilities. Friendly, helpful and courteous staff. Hotel amenities on the whole are quite comfortable. Centrally located on the main highway to Montego Bay. The stay was very enjoyable for two days.

We had an enjoyable stay; so much so, that we extended our time from 3 nights to 4. For what we paid, we thoroughly enjoyed the all-inclusive amenities (food, unlimited alcohol, hammocks, access to the beach). The only thing was, entertainment activities were constantly being cancelled and rescheduled while we were there (would've enjoyed karaoke, but that was one of the cancelled events). That was really the only issue we had. Again, though, the unlimited alcohol and overall comfort of the resort couldn't be beat!

It is a good location, and while the beaches are nice, they are not as spectacular as some of Jamaica's other beaches. The hotel was comfortable, and it is convenient to get to it from Kingston. The service was good, and the staff were friendly. The food was okay, I guess for the price, it was good value.

Internet and WIFI down almost the entire 3 days I was there. Front desk clueless and indifferent. Arrived to find no towels and no toiletry items in the room. Food indifferent with no presentation. Waited 25 minutes for a made-to-order omelet each morning. Had to hail a wait person to get a table setting. Food and bar service understaffed for the amount of traffic they were dealing with. Pool good and glass-bottom boat ride was excellent. I would not return there. Had to cancel a room and was unable to do so at the resort. Was informed that I would have to call Hotels.com and they had no local U.S. phone number for Hotels.com at the resort. With the Internet and WIFI down I could not cancel via the Internet.

The place is incredible! There is a quiet spot if you need it at any time but plenty of activities especially with a shuttle to the neighboring resort in case you need a change of scenery. There is nothing much to see in the town. This is a resort you visit just to hang out at a resort. Great time!

We where offered to upgrade for free to the new Decameron nearby. It was extreamly nice & good! A 4 star hotell with class! We enjoyed it and spend 3 nights with happy faces!

If you are planning on vacationing in this area please do yourself a favour and avoid booking this hotel at all cost!!-Poor Management, disgruntked staff and poor run down facility-The food is nothing towrite home about!!- Run away Bay is a beautiful place, you have lots of options!!

Spent 3 nights at this hotel. Our room was beyond basic, looks like it was built back in the 1950's. Room had a bed dresser sofa and1 chair. Furniture was outdated, towels and linens are of low quality. Area surrounding the hotel is very suspect, would not recommend leaving the property on your own. Food was ok, we basically slept and ate one meal per day there. Could not wait to leave. We will not be returning!

For the price and relative ease, awesome!!! The staff was extremely courteous and friendly, the scenery was spectacular and the entertainment was lovely. The food variety could have been better, but the layout of dinner area was nice. Overall its a very nice place and the pricing makes it better.

My wife and I stayed at the Royal Decameron in Runaway Bay, Jamaica in Nov/December of 2011. Thank God for the Decameron!! Our flight in was horrid, but our stay was SWEET! As a Jamaican, I am proud to say that the hospitality shown by the staff and their courtesy was remarkable!! The all-inclusive drinks and food was great and saved us TONS while we stayed in my homeland. The food was done "just right" and the vibes was "irie mon!" The drinks were not top shelf, so don't come expecting that...but they did the job. Even though it rained a lot when we were there we still had plenty to see and do. The staff were engaging, extremely nice and helpful. We took an upgrade to be in one of the huts by the beach side and that was a great plus. The disco is nothing to write about, but you can find libations and enjoyment with other guests and staff to compensate. I highly recommend the place (even to my family who live there in JA) and will like to go back again in the future, God willing! Enjoy!!!

The room we were given the first night was not equivalent to the room that was advertised and therefore was extremely disappointing. The beach was a little murky not a clear blue as I would have expected and the food was not great. The staff is amazing so that may make up for some of the shortcomings of the hotel.

Great place to stay.. Staff are wonderful..

We were not comfortable with location of rooms as we had small children who we needed to stay closer to.Everything else were very good. We will surely come again Thank you.

overall the hotels was very good.....nice plces to hang out lots of beach area. For adults and couples.

We had a great time once we settled in! We were welcomed with a fruity rum punch. Our room was lovely, but in a section where renovations were taking place, so very noisy. The front desk was nice and promised that the banging would stop for our entire stay. On our 2nd night we did move to a beautiful room with peacocks just outside the door and serene bliss! We loved the food, glass bottom boat ride, entertainment, and overall atmosphere of this resort minus the construction. We look forward to bringing our family back in the future as ALL the staff is wonderful! :O)

The hotel does not have a wow look, but the staff and food make up for what is missing. If you are on a budget and need a brief stay, then this is a good place. All inclusive for that price cannot be beaten. We were there for only two days and found the nightly entertainment to be very good as well.

My initial thought of this resort was that it was very nice, property was well kept. After settling in I was immediately met with issues. We didnt have any water called front desk they stated they were having issues and turned the water off.... fine... that made we wonder if i even wanted to eat there food if they had no water.....they proceeded to turn the water back on later on. That evening we had water but no hot water called front desk again long story short I had to take a cold shower two days in a row. Next issue food was bad no variety what so ever and they didnt even have much Jamaican cuisine which is hard to imagine since you are in Jamaica. Only thing they did ok with was breakfast. I felt like I wasted my money beacuse i eventually started eating off property because of what they served at the buffet. Next problem made a reservation for one of there restaraunts since we weren't impressed with the buffet. waited over an hour to prepare our food before we decided to leave. Even after they saw we were leaving they didnt even offer to rectify situation I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. Its a cheap all inclusive for a reason

I stayed at the Royal Decameron for two nights and it was lovely. I stayed in one of the cottages, the only problem i had was that the smoke detector went off and it took me a while to figure out where the loud sound was coming from, eventually i did, but no one came i had to go to the front desk to get assistance, right after the telephone stop working all of this happen within the first 30 mins i went in the room, other than that my stay was wounderful, Friday night we had fun! my mom and her sister in-law was there also. They have a small pool behind the cottages for adults only thats where i spent my entire time during the day on saturday, it was just calm and rejuvenating. Oh the food.... it was delicious not to mention the Pina Colada, LOVE IT! i miss the pastries. The beach was looking clean and nice but i did not went in, i spent my time in the pool. They have two pools their is a main pool & Adult only pool. I can tell you if you are reading this review, go ahead and book your reservation, i promise you, you will not regret it one bit. Please! bear in mind this is not a 5* hotet, but the service and comfort that you get make it hard to tell the difference. JUST HAVE A OPEN MIND WHEN YOU GO AND HAVE FUN.....

I was pleasantly surprise when I got to the Royal Decameron Hotel. It was a very enjoyable experience for me and my family . even though it rained for the entire week that I was there. The staffs were wonderful and courteous, very polite. The food was not bad there was always a lot to eat and drink, Over all it was an enjoyable experience for us and I would deffinitly recomend this hotel to any one. Looking forward to my next visit .

My first night wasn't as pleasant as it was raining and the room had a strong woody smell.... The smell did go away on the 2nd night. Never the less, my stay at Royal Decameron Club was great... It was very relaxing!! The beach area was continually swept to keep the area clean... The food was GREAT!!!! Compliments to the Chef!!! Whenever i'm in the Ochie Area, i'll be sure to stay here again and i've begun to spread the word of this quiet but wonderful resort...

The atmosphere was great. There wasn't a wide variety of foods to choose from but the food was ok. The room was comfortable, we had everything we needed. I was a little disappointed with the Beach Grill restaurant, most of the things i tried to order was not available, I think they said the grill was down. It was overall a good stay, not excellent but good if you are not a fussy person. Towels are available, even beach towel. One thing that really had me feeling good is i had the do not disturb sign on the door and they still called to find out if everything was good and if i need towels. I spent only 2 days so i did not get a chance to participate in most of the activities. I would give them a 3 out of 5 because of the absence of regular internet service, 3.5 for food, 4 for hospitality

I really enjoyed my stay at the Royal Decameron Club in Runaway Bay Jamaica, it was our second time there and i will be goin back again in Sept. for my birthday..we had a struggle to get a nice room by thhe beach front, but we ended up with an garden view cottage #25 and i think that will become out favourite from now on :) I LOVE THIS RESORT!! 2 THUMBS UP

We were very impressed by the Royal Decameron in Runaway Bay. The staff was very curteous, the food/drinks were great and the Fun Crew was extremely entertaining as well. The best part about the resort is that many activities are included in the price! You can enjoy tennis lessons, intro scuba diving lessons in the pool, a snorkeling excursion and a katamaran ride all for free!!! NOTE: the owners of RD just bought the Super Fun Resort so they will have to locations in Runaway Bay soon... Pros: - most activities are included! - the food is very good for being made in mass - the staff is super friendly - the Fun Crew! They work very hard day/night to keep you engaged and hey, if you don't like it then go do something else! Cons: - you won't get the safest feeling outside of the resort but that is true throughout the entire island - bathrooms could be updated - beach is not as prestine as the stretch near Sandals and Beeches, but it is still very nice - $5 for just 15 minutes of internet access
