Holiday Inn Express & Suites W. Monroe - ווסט מונרו

Cable was out for the 3 days we were here. I was told by the front desk that there was a "problem with tower and the whole area is out. We've called the other hotels and their able us also out." I called 2 hotels on the same road, and they said they weren't having any issues. In my opinion, e front desk lied to keep their guests from switching hotels.

Great room but need new carpet and more staff. My second day the room didn't get clean at all,, not good!

Hotel seemed dated. I stay in Holiday Inn Express all the time and this just seem like it needed a little extra attention to details. It felt dark/dingy while other Holiday Inn Express seem light and airy, open. Bathroom could use a good cleaning to and repaint and carpet needs replacing. Not a bad stay, build I've definately had much better.

Overall the stay was very enjoyable. We decided to stop in West Monroe for the night at the last minute. I was impressed that they had all our information since I had just booked the hotel 2-hours before our arrival. We had a small issue with the first room we were assigned, but was quickly fixed and everything else was better than expected. Other things worth mentioning the internet signal was strong, the breakfast was good, and all the staff we encountered was very friendly. The biggest negative was finding the hotel on a rainy night.

Room had to much highway noise. Couldn't sleep.

Overall I was pleased with the stay @ Holiday Inn Express in W. Monroe, LA. The room was clean, except I felt the carpet could have used a good steam cleaning. We did have to ask for a second blanket that was not on the bed (we had one traveler that is extremely cold-natured), but I am extremely warm-natured and could not get the room to a comfortable temp. The staff was very accommodating. The breakfast offering was wonderful and the coffee was excellent for a hotel offering. They had biscuits and gravy that one of the travelers in our party loved! They also had healthy choices.

The confusion when I checked in with my room being given to another guest 2 hrs later was strange. The manager's approach of trying to push the door open when I asked him to back up so I could open the door, was unacceptable. I will not stay in this hotel again.

Like the updated look but the room was not cleaned well. We stayed for 3 nights and had to ask for more towels every night

It was great my only thing was the room floor felt like it was dirty but I just felt bit weird, not a big deal thou, it's like if they had just steam clean it but it was not clean. Thanks anyway it was a good stay this our second thine at this hotel.

When I was thru taking a shower, water was all along the wall and floor. Because the floor of the shower was even with the floor, it was about 1/4 wet. Maybe put a plastic 3" high x 12" long structure to stop the water flowing out of the shower might prevent an accident in the future. Even the 1' shower floor that extended out of the shower was very slippery and my mom almost slipped on it.

We've had good luck with Holiday Inn Express in the past; however, this was an exception. When we arrived they had us in a smoking room when we had specifically booked a non-smoking. In fairness they were fairly prompt in upgrading us to a non-smoking suite. However, the bathroom had mold in it, and the overall cleanliness was not what we have come to expect.

The internet instuctions we received were very poor. Told to take exit twelve. We did. Can't see hotel at all during the middle of night. No signage anywhere to help locate hotel. Drove around for twenty minutes and turned around four times. Almost canceled reservation.// When we arrived the staff was very attentive to our needs.//TV (cable) didn't work. Front desk had to call cable company who wanted to argue about it, then after the call it worked. Amazing!// WiFi instructions weren't available for connecting an IPAD Device. (Not a complaint-just and observation)//Brown tea colored water. I was told it was normal for this area and prefectly safe to drink and bathe in. I chose to do neither. The wife however had to take shower. When she got her towel you could see where it had been used to dust off something because it still had the streaks of dusted folded neatly inside if it. I left it out for the housekeeper to see.//Breakfast OUTSTANDING. Beautiful set up.//Construction vehicles took up a significant amount of the parking spaces and we literally had to park in the front door drive area because there weren't any other spaces.//Signage in the bathroom explaining the water would have helped. Signage along the roadways would have helped.//Slept like a baby when I finally got to bed. No noise to be heard from anywhere.//All in all a fair experience but definitely over priced with the negatives. The brown water will ensure we don't stay there again. We were heading to Florida for vacation and got a little tired on the road, so I checked hotels.com from my phone and boooked us a hotel close to where we were. We got in about 2:00 AM where a very nice manager greeted us and got us into our room very quickly. The breakfast was good with a very sweet woman who was a great person to talk to. Good spot to stop.

My sister and I stayed there to go to a concert, and it was nice. There was absolutely no problem with the reservation and this was my first time using the app on my phone. It was a great experience and I would use the app again.

The hotel was really close to the freeway and easy to find. The front desk staff were very helpful and full of energy. The room was huge and very well appointed with a fridge, microwave, coffee maker and flat screen tv. The bathroom was large and well equipped. I was traveling with 2 cats and appreciated being on the ground floor. The hotel was very quiet and relaxing was easy.

Everyone was great! Very helpful and nice. Parking was scarce due to a wedding and some construction, and they let us park on the curb, and apologized for the inconvenience.

The staff at this hotel were great, it was easy to get to and everything was within reasonable distances. My only complaint would be that there was a LOT of reno going on on the whole 4th floor smelt like an ashtray (not our room thankfully), but if you request a non-smoking room do you really want to wade through an ashtray to get to it.

It says "pardon us" all over the hotel but I never saw any construction. The pool was closed the exercise room was open but missing a LOT of stuff...there clearly wasn't any construction...although the TV was missing...but they used that excuse not to provide a lot of services they advertise as providing. There are plenty of better properties in Monroe/W. Monroe to stay in.

We were driving across the country and planned this stop in Monroe. The hotel is very close to all kinds of restaurants and shops within a 2 or 3 mile range. It was obvious the hotel was older but we thought the staff was outstanding. They offered us snacks and water upon arrival and were very accommodating as we made conversation with the manager.

the check in process was slightly delayed because of new software but the person a the desk was very friendly and helpful. The room was supposed to be nonsmoking but smelled terribly of cigarette smoke. The room was right across the hall from smoking rooms. The carpet was dirty, the room is in need of repair and upgrades. It was convenient but we won't stay there again.

my only complant is that the bed was not a pillow top. every other one i have sayed at was. witch is why i say there. other then that is was nice.

I do not suggest this hotel to anyone. From the time me and my family walked into this hotel, the individual behind the counter was not friendly, and they gave my non-smoking room away because I guess they thought that we would not be showing up due to the fact that we checked in after 11:30pm. Also after having a very long day on the 4th of July, when we arrived back at our room again after 11:30pm, the room had not been cleaned, the bed had not been made, and their were still towels on the bathroom floor. I was very unpleased with the service for my entire stay.
