The people who work there provide the best service possible. Also, the food that they offer is amazing. Plus, the outside view is wonderful. I highly recommend people to stay at Eurostars Hacienda Vista Real Hotel.

This was the second time we stayed at this hotel. Great value for our money. The room was impecable, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet they include had a lot of variety and enjoyable by the lagoon. The hotel is a little hard to find, but it is definitely a good deal. I would recommend it to my friends.

Loved the buffet breakfast: excellent food, nice outdoor ambiance and beautiful views. The room service was was great as well as the rest of the staff: very friendly and accomodating. An opportunity for improvement would be to have the pool side bar open daily in the evenings.

We loved our stay at this beautiful and open air hotel. Their hospitality was wonderful. Beautiful and well maintained gardens with beautiful walkways to the rooms and to the patio area with the swimming pool. Breakfast buffet was enjoyable and delicious.

If your goal on vacation is to hang out at the resort and relax, this is probably not the spot for you. But if you are the type who likes to spend your days exploring and come home to a comfortable, cozy, well appointed room, this is definitely the hotel for you! Great value, great location, nice staff, we had a huge room with full kitchen, dining room, living room, two huge bedrooms, spiral staircase and our own private deck, very close to playa del Carmen, free beach club access, great breakfast, etc... So what's not to like? Tiny pool with 4-5 public loungers to be shared by all guests. And that's about The only negative. We have 2 kids 13 and 14 that wanted more of a social scene not available at the hotel. Amazing for the price .

My kids and I stayed here for four nights. I felt safe and comfortable. Lovely staff, and nice clientele. Breakfast buffet at tables by the poolside saved us time and money each day. We booked a basic suite, which felt like a small house, due to the full dining room, living room and kitchen (fridge, stove and microwave). I think all the suites have patios or big balconies. The bathroom was more artistic than functional, and the marble tiled floor could get slippery. Firm beds and plenty of complimentary bottled water. It cost 70 pesos for a cab ride to town/beach/ADO station. 155 pesos cab ride to Xcaret. There is a convenience store just a short walk down the road, which was particularly handy when my son got travelers stomach . I was able to walk to the shop, buy pepto bismol tablets, yogurt, jello, etc and be back again in 15 minutes. I definitely recommend staying here.

We loved our stay at the Hacienda Vista Real. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. The location was great, so pretty along the golf course and quiet in the Playacar. The breakfast buffet was nice. We had a great suite with a kitchen and the only reason I'm not giving a 5 was the kitchen was not very clean and there were no towels (not even paper towels) to clean it with. The dishes weren't clean and the oven didn't work. Otherwise our stay at this Hotel was perfect.

It was difficult to find. It is in a beautiful area of PLAYACAR, a gated community. The local taxi drivers refer to it as "Vista Real".... If you are looking for extreme quiet, and no interaction with people, this is your place. The staff was nice and spoke decent English. The breakfast buffet was the exact same every day with the exception of the meat offered. We were unaware the hotel has an arrangement with the a Beach Club in Playa Del Carmen. They really try to leave you alone, and I don't know if it is out of respect or just that they were sort of understaffed. The grounds are beautiful, well-kept. The pool area is very small and VERY quiet. No music, nobody hanging out in the bar area. Not a lively atmosphere at all. The walk to Playa Del Carmen is 15-20 minutes away. Taxi service is quick, approx $5-8 . We enjoyed it for the most part but will not return. We would prefer to be closer to the beach now that we know what amenities this hotel offers. The room service is actually a take out menu from restaurants in town. If you don't have anything for dinner your choices are very limited. Our biggest complaint was the beds in our suite were extremely hard. I slept on the couch for half of our stay.

Perfect with one exception.... climate control.... Either to hot or to cold... The free breakfast was extroadinary

We had a wonderful trip to vista real!! The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel rooms were beautiful and clean.

we had a wonderful time at the Hacienta Vista Real in Playa del Carmen. The staff was extremely nice and friendly and provided excellent customer Service. We were treated like Royalty. The building is unique in its architecture and it feels very solid. The Ambassador Suites are extremely roomy, full of light with a very stylish interior design which gave us the feeling of living in a mansion. We truly enjoyed our stay, and we are planning to go back soon.

Our suite was superb -- 5 balconies, huge space, excellent value -- extraordinarily good value! Beautiful decor and architecture, delicious, varied breakfasts. But: impossible to locate! We drove around and around -- street signs had arrows, but there was NO SIGN indicating the entrance! The spa a lovely, but minimally functional: no hot tubs, sauna or steam...the spa needs to be brought to full function. Finally, the bathtub is quite deep; grab bars need to be placed beside the tub for safety.

Our group of four travelers stayed five nights en route from Belize. Three of us shared a grande suite, which was very large, with three large balconies, a full kitchen, indoor and outdoor dining areas, two large bedrooms with ensuites, and a large living room. The hotel is really very beautiful. The grounds are lush and very well maintained. The pool is clean and a delicious breakfast is served outdoors overlooking the golf course and pool area. The hotel staff are warm and welcoming. For the price we paid, it was a great bargain. Situated in PlayCar, the hotel is a 20 minute walk to the ferry terminal to Cozumel on Fifth Avenue, which was fine for us, but probably not for everyone. A taxi to downtown is very reasonable. Overall, we arrived very weary from our travels and left refreshed and relaxed, with very positive memories of our stay. I would stay here again and will recommend it to others.

The hotel looked nice, the breakfast was ok. The staff was nice but they seriously misadvertised on hotels.com what you would get. We pre-paid for a pillow-top king bed. So we get there and the mattress is a king but its sitting on a full size box, we slid off the sides, not pillow top either. We got switched to a new room two nights later finally, and the bed was king but again was not pillow top, even harder than before, and this time we had no mini bar. We went to to the front desk and they said they could nothing that night, and they didnt do anything for the rest of our stay. Other things were that the hotel was very noisy starting at 6 am, you could hear people talking as if they were in our room.

Nice Gardens, I have two complaints: a)No place where to eat Jan 1st. The front desk didn't even have a pizza delivery number to call. b) They wanted us out on the dot at 12:00 noon, no buts.

Perfect for relaxing. Rooms are clean and in good shape.

This hotel was disappointing. The location was ok - right in Playacar and very quiet and you have to cab it almost everywhere. The views on to the golf course are awesome. The hotel itself is beautifully built but is in dire need of updating. THe bathrooms are dark and dingy and poorly lit. We had a 2 bedroom which was very large and had a big patio - big plus. It's worth paying the few extra dollars to get the breakfast buffet included. The pool was very cold - big disappointment. We didn't travel all that way to swim in a cold pool. Housekeeping was mediocre. If you like quiet surroundings and aren't picky about the quality of the hotel then this place is for you!

I felt like a queen in our room. Very helpful staff and a quit atmosphere. I didn't realize we were next to a golf course, which was fun, but also allowed us to see a lot of unusual animals we would not have seen in town!

The Vista Real in Playa del Carmen was a delightful peace of old Mexico with modern conveniences. Way more than you would expect for the price. The staff was pleasant and accommodating. The complimentary breakfast was ecellent. The hotel is located on a beautiful golf couse and is in easy walking distance of 5th Ave.

Stay was great. Beautiful setting, beautiful rooms, and friendly staff. Breakfast buffet was tops. Only downsides, did not get the room I resesrved and not on or near the beaches, but the taxi are readily and cheap...

Wow! what a nice hotel! The setting is magnificent, and the hotel is beautiful. Only down side , it is not on the beach. It is on a magnificent gulf course. Make sure to ask for Room 202.

Great place if you rent a car and want peace and quiet about a 15min drive to xcaret

Maintenance is almost non existent in this resort .Ac was out two - three times in our room.housekeeping was poor ,leaky roofs everywhere .Pool was very nice and they did a good job of keeping it clean. Breakfast was included,buffet style every morning , was very enjoyable.Beds are very comfortable .walk to town in 20 min.Over all good experience though !

The hotel is located in a private & secure neighbourhood, 15mins walk to the beach. I was positively surprised how nice the hotel was. Great lobby with a tropical look and the room I was in was just fantastic - good size bedroom with a specious living room, kitchen area and a balcony. Staff were very friendly and the breakfast was tasty. Pool area is small but cossy. The hotel is very quiet though - no activities or music - day or night but despite of it I would definitely go back.

this hotel is very good. they have great breakfast, great pool you can swim in the pool and also drink, eat there. but one problem is it's little bit far form the downtown. if you want to go "cocobongo" or see downtown you have to take a taxi. it cost 70 or 90 peso.(one way). but everything is good.!!

Hotel is little bit far away from pdc centrum and beach but taxi is cheap and we walk to centrum / beach on morning and come back with taxi. 20-25min walk in morning is just good for your health. Breakfast was good but birds was not so nice, don't leave your breakfast alone to board or you will deal it with birds.

The Hacienda Vista Real Resort is a jewel of a hotel. It is located in a very exclusive part of town called the Playacar, which is a gated community in Playa del Carmen. The location is quiet and romantic. The rooms are large, well appointed, and most are located with wonderful views of either the gorgeous pool or the golf course. We were impressed with the friendly staff, the elegance of the entire resort and the services, which included a complimentary breakfast buffet. We will return again to enjoy the beauty of this place.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the hacienda for 26 nights and it is a lovely Hotel, although it is beginning to show its age here and there. We had an Ambassador suite, which is huge and almost like renting a full house for your holiday stay. The standard rooms look a little on the cramped side although probably would be okay for a night or two. Regarding some previous reviews, i can confirm there is no spa ( permanently closed since new management took over ), no shuttle to the beaches ( 25 minutes walk, or taxi ) and no services after about 5pm ( restaurant or poolside bar ). The suites seem to vary in kitchen facilities; cookers, microwaves,dishwashers and washing machines do not seem to available in full in every suite. Also, the fully equipped kitchen is not quite true- utensils,pots and pans, knives and forks, cups etc are fairly basic and not abundant. In fact, our kitchen needed a makeover to be honest as all the fittings were showing their age. Also, on arrival the promised 38 inch tv in the lounge was nowhere to be seen and following an enquiry at reception, a tv was produced 24 hours later but much smaller in size. The style of the hotel is quite beautiful and unlike any other we have stayed in. The architecture is stunning with columns, arches, marble floors, ochre coloured walls, lots of ironwork etc. A mexican hacienda it must be. And the gardens are much more mature now, compared to some early photos. Views from the balconies are negligible because the trees and so on are now taller than the hotel and are quite dense so its difficult to see very much. We found all the staff very helpful and friendly. The pool area is charming, and breakast is served here each morning on the terrace between the pool and the lake. You get lots of bird and turtle company every day ! There's a wide range of hot and cold foods on offer and the hot food seems to change daily on a 7 day rota. All types of egg are available to order. The hot food is typically mexic

Beautiful hotel very friendly and efficient staff,great breakfast buffet. The only negative is that the location is not close to the beach but we were allowed to access the beach from the Indigo beach club. We had a car so did not mind the distance. Rooms are huge !

beautiful condo hotel on the golf course in playa del carmen. rental car recommended. the quality of the accommodation and ambiance make it worth the 5 dollar taxi ride to town or beach. it is just a lovely place. nice staff. the only little complaint is they never heat the hot tub.

After the fews day at Playacar...I know where I will gladly go back!! Wow! Everyone was concerned when we flew to Cancun and rented a car. It was a great decision. We had no trouble getting around from Chichen Itza, Playa Del Carmen - though the boat to Cozumel that you put the car on could have been better - timing and convenience. I wish I would have had a couple more days there!

This hotel is nice.it is in the playacar that is like a villa park.it is quiet and safe, near the beach.0

We loved the Hotel. It is set in beautiful surroundings and a short walk to Playa. The room was furnished nicely. I did feel though that they should perhaps use solar panels to heat the pool as it was very cold and we did not even get ourselves in to enjoy it. It is surrounded by tall tropical trees and also finds itself in the shade of the bar palapa. Very beautiful to look at but there is no way you would find yourself swimming up to the bar and sitting in the shade drinking a cool drink! We were there in the winter but still with 80 degree days it would have been nice to cool down the pool. It is the focal point of the hotel and takes up a large part of the real estate so I am surprised that they do not heat it. Otherwise, the staff was very friendly and helpful and the grounds are kept up well.

We stayed at this hoel one night before and two nights after a week at a resort location and loved it. It had a small pool, but as it was late November, it was a bit cool anyway. The first night we were on the first floor level, and in the evening found some little inch worms (animalitos) coming under the door. We called the front desk and they immediately came and sprayed and largely look care of the issue. The two nights we were on the third floor and had no issues, so I would recommend asking for a second or third floor room. We were travelling with my father-an-law so had the 2 BR royal suite. It had a full living room dining area and kitchen, but the kitchen was not very well equipped, but I expect if you wanted to cook more, they would find you what you needed. We had a rental car and were very comfortable leaving in the hotel's free parking lot. We did a day trip to Coba - amazing. We also spent a day at Xcaret which was great. The evening show was fantastic - 2 hours and covered from early Mayan dances and games to current with dances and songs from all the different states of Mexico. The evening meal at the show was OK but not great. I didn't realize you could attend the show without buying the dinner, so I would eat before at one of the many venues there. It is also quite close to the "5th avenue" but I feel a bit long to walk, although a number of other posters have said it was ok. We ate at La Parrilla twice - excellent. Their full breakfast was OK. Eggs/omlettes cooked to order with various pastries, fruits, yogurt, cold cereal, and assorted Mexican breakfast foods. All service, luggage assistance, front desk, waiter at breakfast were great.

I enabled myself to take a Deluxe studio, since there was an offer on hotels.com. Wouah! Really big room, huge and very comfortable bed and the must... a bubble bath! Really nice and calm area even though you'll need to walk about 20 min to reach Playa del Carmen. The breakfast was great (compared to other places I've been in the surroundings). Highly recommendable from my experience...

For the price it was a fine but there were a few things that need improvement. Finding the resort was very difficult, even after plenty of research. I suggest staying on the highway and look for one of the two large “PLAYACAR” signs on the left. After entering the “PLAYACAR” gate look for the xoxo store, salon, and restaurant, the second gate is right next to it. After the second gate turn left then right. There doesn’t seem to be much down the road but look for the pyramid shaped building on the left and the parking lot is to the right. When we arrived the spa was not open and the front water area was not working. The room was very nice and clean upon arrival, but the rooms were not cleaned as well on the following days and the rooms do need to be aired out during the day to avoid a musty smell. Other than the mornings during the free buffet the hotel did not have a lot of traffic. If you want a lot of activity, this is not the place for you. The pool was nice but it was a little chilly and the “Jacuzzi” was not heated but rather just a small pool. The food was okay. The service wasn’t good, even when we were the only ones there. The mixed drinks were good but after two beers they had run out. There isn’t an evening meal option and the French restaurant that delivers wasn’t great and Pizza Hut was a hassle to order from and got the order wrong. I suggest going to town to eat. All the staff were really nice. It is only about 20 minutes to walk to 5th avenue. The location and price of this resort were the best points. It was nice that they had free onsite parking so we were able to take day trips on our own. I don’t recommend driving through town, but the surrounding areas weren’t bad.

The interiors of the hotel was great, better than expected and the free breakfast was very good and hot.

hotel was far from downtown. isolated. also was very empty. wi fi worked fine. wife was bitten by bed bugs, notified front desk. breakfast was okay. birds seemed to overtake the eating area. trying to take your food. could only stay one night and left to different hotel. room 211-1 had rusy nails in shower where a shelf for soap use to be.
