Hotel was immaculate. Everything about the stay was more than expected and we will be back but stay longer the next time.

Great time...at the hotel and at the pool. Great stay, fantastic staff. We will go again.

The hotel and resort are beautiful with wonderful service and a great location. Through a communication breakdown our son ended up sleeping on the floor. (a cot in the room would have violated fire code).

Had a $19 resort fee hotels.com didn't mention or cover. Not bad but hate things that are not mentioned. One of the bottles of water in fridge had been opened and not replaced. Couldn't get out of parking garage because key card didnt work and nobody answered intercom. All in all it was good, just a couple of little things.

My wife wanted a weekend away to do nothing. And we went to the Gaylord hotel because they have shops and dining on property. She was very happy with the hotel and we both had a great time there.

The Gaylord Texan is an incredible hotel. The grounds are beautiful; as advertised, it includes a wine vineyard, swimming pools, outdoor fireplaces, a jogging/walking path, coffee shops, night club, bars, lounges, multiple restaurants, and winding walkways that meander throughout the property. The hotel's property is very large and conveniently attached to its convention center. It was easy to get to/from my hotel room and the meeting areas each day. Food at the Smoke House restaurant is out of this world and is a must for any business travelers; small children and families are not well suited for this high-end venue. At the Smoke House I had the best rib eye steak of my life and a habenero creamed corn side dish that I am still dreaming about one week later. This particular restaurant is very expensive but well worth it for a special occassion or nice night out. My room was large, clean and comfortable. Check-in/out was fast and convenient. The only disappointment with my trip was the surrounding neighborhood: the downtown historic area was instantly forgetable and the nearby outlet mall offerred nothing either. In the future, I won't waste my time exploring these other areas... the hotel property offers all of the luxury and convenience that I need. I can't wait to go back!

Hotel and Service was great. The cost to get to DFW via Taxi was $30... Outrageous for that distance !!!

It was prom night for one of the local schools - which was kind of fun to see all the girls dresses, BUT -- we had a loud group of teens in the room next to us that we had to call security about in the middle of the night. Also, there we were put in a room that there had obviously been a water leak in the hall way - large industrial fans were sitting in the hallway.

Our family decided last minute to book at Gaylord Texan and we were blown away from the moment we walked in. Our kids (15 and 12) had a good time and we had tons of stuff to do. We did not leave the Texan for the entire stay because we were so busy taking photos, swimming, and eating at the GREAT restaurants. The BBQ Nachos are a MUST and the Breakfast buffett was a TREAT!!!

I love staying at the Gaylord Texan. It is always enjoyable, especially during the holidays.

They do NOT tell you ahead of time they are charging $18 to use the pool and fitness center. Come to find out it also includes the 2 water bottles in room that we did NOT drink. Should have ALL been explained from the very beginning and NOT be in tiny print at bottom of website. Will NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN. You would think $250 a night would include use of pool.

This was a perfect getaway for the weekend. The hotel had great restaurants, night life, and is close to tons of local activities.

We were very disappointed in our stay. We stayed on the 4th floor and experienced a very strong sewage smell. The front desk said that they had engineering looking into and they offered to have house keeping bring us an air freshner. The room had visually standing dust on and in the tv stand. The experience was good, just would not recommend staying overnight.

Had my reservations wrong. Had conf for a king bed and had to argue for an hour because they had me down for 2 queens. Not good business at a nice resort

Not worth the price for the quality of service. Would not recommend.

It was a beautiful hotel but a bit overpriced for the night. We planned to do a few activities in the morning however most things did not open till after 11. There were a lot of younger children up early in morning and Santa did not come till 11 and the gingerbread cookies decorating did not open till noon. We enjoyed ice and the evening activities. They added fees for everything including buying Ice tickets at the box office.

TOO CROWDED AND WAITED TWO HOURS TO EAT IN THEIR RESTAURANTS. THEN THE FOOD WAS AVERAGE. DIFFICULT TO MOVE AROUND INSIDE BECAUSE OF THE OVERCROWDING OF RESORT. TOO BUSY AT CHECK OUT TO GET HELP WITH OUR BAGS. NOT FUN. NOT RELAXING. WE WILL NOT RETURN. NOT MY IDEA OF A RESORT. DMG

Had a great stay! We never really had to leave resort. The staff was incredibly accommodating. Our first night we got very little sleep due to our loud neighbors. The hotel quickly changed our room the next morning and were very nice and helpful. Staff was great start to finish - will go back.

We stayed on a Saturday night during the Christmas season, and the lobby was unbelievably crowded at all hours. Do not book this hotel at this time of year unless you don't mind TONS of small children running around. While the Christmas decorations were nice, they were not as spectacular as we had envisioned. The hotel itself was nice, but the room was nothing out of the ordinary. We had to call and request our "complimentary" newspaper in order to receive it. The staff was very friendly and valet parking was efficient and fast. At checkout, they had no record of our stay already being paid for through Hotels.com and I was glad I had a hard copy of my receipt with me. Overall, this hotel is nice, but not worth the price you pay.

I was amazed at how much there is to do and the beauty of this place! Incredible!

This was our first time at the Gaylord Texan. It was wonderful! The Christmas decorations in the atrium were spectacular! Two coffee shops, a wine bar, the list just goes on and on...the only negative I can find was that there was a "resort fee" added to the room upon check out. But, I had read that they charge this, so I was expecting it. The Grapevine Mall is only about 1 mile away, so it was very convenient! Love it!! Going back next year!

clean neat and stlish

for the amount of money I thought the bed would have been more comfortable, i thought the cleaning service should have supplied clean bath linens each day, it was very noisy when trying to sleep, the resort was much smaller than I thought it would be

It was very nice a bit congested. Big convention going on and had a hard time being picked up by co workers

Everything was great except the one and only miniature hot tub. Really for a hotel this huge, they need a much, much larger hot tub.

The Gaylord is an experience all in itself! We only stayed 1 night just so we could go to an NFL game but wish we could have stayed longer. Although we didn't have them with us I know the kids would have loved this place.

The service every where in this hotel is just immaculate! I felt like a celebrity with all the staff catering to our every need. It was breathtaking!!! Lots of things to do and the food was just so divine. Everything was above our expectations and we just enjoyed every moment.

Beautiful resort. However, we did not have any drawer space to put our clothes! We had a closet for hanging clothes, but that was it! We had to put clothes in the bedside tables. Our room overlooked the valet parking and for what we paid for it, I was very disappointed. We had dinner at one of the restaurants and it was very disappointing. We had to wait and hour and 15 minutes and you could see empty tables everywhere.

Next time ask for a room away from the elevator. Other than that we loved it!

The only thing, that i was disappointed about it was a room without the view. I thought i booked one facing the inside the hotel. The next day after I booked it I saw the room without the view (facing out) and it was cheaper, but i didn't change the RSVP, because I thought I alreadyI reserved one with a view (facing inside) The guy at front desk was not very friendly, when I checked in, but the girl was extremely friendly when I checked out. I and my 15 y/o daughter loved the water park! Service around the river was impeccable from a young guy, who was always smiling. Service when we sit down to eat was horrible, waitress (she was from Estern Europe) was keep cleaning tables, while I and my daughter and 2 other couples were waiting to be served. I had to scream for help. She would clean the table and walk away for a while, then do it again, clean another table and walk away again, like we were invisible.

Terrible. It was our honeymoon night and the room we booked - an upgrade - was unavailble and they put us in a room over looking the parking lot and a wall. Cable was out as well.

The staff could have been more informative considering I was a new guest and I had never stayed at the resort. The parking was confusing and having three vehicles, my two friends had to pay for overnight parking plus a day rate because they were in the self parking longer than 24 hours. We were not aware parking is covered when we check out and you swipe the room key to get out of the garage. I just feel like there could have been a more personalized check in procedure rather than just trying to move people through the long line. The food on the resort was good but a little pricey. I also recommend making a reservation early in the day for dinner. If not, go as a walk-in, we got in an hour before their first available reservation time.

This is our favorite place to have a staycation, hotel and amenities are fabulous, staff is friendly and helpful, and rooms are great! I recommend to everyone!

They tack on a resort fee above the rate. Parking is all pay whether you self or valet.

Hotel was awesome. I wish the had more reasonable prices for food when you are feeding a family.

The only thing that was frustrating was the wait for dinner at the restaurants. We went to all four and it was over 1.5 hours. Hard to do that with little kids. also that night it sounded like Vegas outside our room. Lots of late night partiers being loud and stumbling back to their rooms.
