The staff was very friendly, valet parking was a plus, attendants always got the car on time. The restaurant on the 17th floor has an amazing view and the food is great!! I will def go back there.

Pros: Very affordable, and you can't beat free valet and wifi in LA! The room had a small balcony and the bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in. I ordered room service and got my meal in about 20 minutes. Cons: It's right by the 405 and you can hear the constant roar of traffic, even from the 15th floor. Not much around in terms of walking distance from the hotel.

Hotel Angeleno was an okay hotel. A little spendy for what they had to offer, but it is LA. The absolute worst part was the freeway noise. You are literally right over the 405 freeway and you hear freeway noise all the time. The rooms were a little smaller than I'd imagined, course we got the double. The bathroom is so small that you have to pull yourself next to the bathtub in order to get the door closed. Overall, it was an okay hotel, but with all of the other choices out there, I will not go back.

Nice place to stay make sure you get a room away from the Highway (405)

Room was very comfortable. Air conditioner was terribly noisy. It actually sounded like a huge waterfall. This was good because it drowns out the traffic noise from the 405 right below the hotel.

Since it is so close to the freeway the rooms are not very well insulated so guests should take ear plugs to be able to sleep. They offer a complimentary wine tasting but the wine is so "cheap" I would not offer such wine to any of my guests. When I told them about the overcharge they call three different people at the end I was still over charge maybe next time I will pay in advance through this site.

The shuttle driver took us to the Getty and told us to call when we were ready for a pick up, but it could be a little wait if he was at the hospital. We called at 4:00 and were told by the hotel staff that we had needed a reservation and the shuttle would not be able to pick us up until 6:30. We decided to call a cab and after 1/2 wail, ended up taking the public bus which stopped right outside the hotel. The hotel needs to let people know that a reservation is necessary for the shuttle.

The hotel was nice, the location was the worst place I ever stayed. Right next to 405 freeway, could not sleep all night because of the passing traffic.

Unbelievable experience at this hotel! The Freeway noise didn't bother me at all. Great food exceptional service and prime location!!! I will be returning...

One night stay but was worth the stay. Service was a tad slow when requesting a key for the in-room bar.

This is a convenient location that is close to UCLA and right off of 405. The daily wine tasting was great and one day there was even fillet mignon bites to go with the wine! The only negative was the first day there were only two bath towels on the rack, no face towels, and the maid left the hand towels on the counter. No bath mat so it was hard getting out of the shower. The cabinets in the bathroom showed signs of wear-n-tear that I didn't expect. Otherwise the view towards downtown was spectacular and the bed was sooooo good!!!

The hotel was not worth the money, very overpriced, small room and LOUD! We stayed in a double bedded room, the hotel was right off the freeway so at night we heard the ruckus outside from the construction and in the morning we were woken up by the sound of cars driving down the highway. We weren't informed that there would be a large construction project going on right outside the hotel when we booked. Terrible night and experience

if you don't plan to stay exclusively in the room and the hotel it's a good value with friendly service and clean rooms. The location is good next to the highway with minimal or no annoying sounds from the traffic.

Really liked this hotel. There are very few that are so close to the Getty, UCLA, Brentwood, Beverly Hills and Bel Aire.

I had read other reviews prior to booking my reservation, and only one commented on the closeness to the freeway saying that it was not noisy. Unfortunately, I did not realize it until I was in bed and turned the TV off to go to sleep, but it is noisy to me. I live in a quiet place, so it may be different for others. I liked the hotel and would stay there again as long as my room was on the other side from the freeway.

Lovely hotel. Hit and miss with the staff. Most were helpful and friendly. Very comfy bed but take your ear plugs as this hotel is next to a busy freeway. There were night time roadworks below during my stay which added to the noise level.

Hotel was great but construction outside our room began after 10:00pm and kept us up till around 2 or 3 am. The entire building shook as the road was being torn up. Nice pool and restaurant .

Great Hotel, room was nice and clean, bed was awesome, towels were a little old could have been newer, but the biggest drawback was the noise from the freeway and freeway construction. Noise was constant all night long.

Hotel itself was great. Staff were very friendly, rooms were clean and nicely decorated. Our room had a very large bathroom. In general, the only negative was the freeway noise (which we anticipated and is really just white noise you start to tune out). Unfortunately there was also a mess of construction on the 405 during our stay which caused even more noise and made it very difficult to return at night (freeway entrances and exits all closed). Would definitely stay again, but only after the 405 construction was over.

The Hotel was very nice and the desk staff was wonderful. We had a rough few nights as the Fire Alarm went off 2 nights in a row in the middle of the night in addition to the fact that we had a wild, loud group of teens in the room above us partying in the middle of the night. One of the bartenders was rude but the other was nice. Generally it was OK but I wouldn't stay there again.

Hotel's location is perfect when visiting UCLA, the Getty Museum, Santa Monica and Hollywood. No need to venture onto the highway. Located adjacent to the 405 with ongoing construction. Request a room on the quiet side.Rooms are on the small side but have everything one could possibly want and have very comfortable beds and covers. Valet parking and WIFI were complementary. Service is very good. Some issues with the bath and sink drain were resolved promptly. Delightful to have breakfast in the top floor restaurant with 180 degree views of the city. Breakfast options very good and rather affordable for LA .

First time I have heard of this Hotel. Great experience. Complimentary wine hour in the evening and Complimentary Valet parking is nice touch. Staff really pleasant. Highly recommend this hotel.

I've stayed here before and always had great experiences. This last time my room was not cleaned by housekeeping when I had been out all day. When I called the front desk, they said they would send someone up immediately. After waiting an hour, I called again and they said all the staff had gone home and there was no one to clean the room. It's not a huge deal, but upon check out, they told me it was my fault for leaving a do not disturb sign up (something I most certainly did not do.) It would have been nice to have offered something for the inconvenience - a comped meal, a free movie, anything. But they made no effort to just acknowledge the fact that my room was not cleaned, and instead, blamed me. Pretty poor customer service on their part. Again, not a huge deal for me because I'm easy going - but this may be a deal breaker for some.

a little noisy on our side. but great hotel. would be nice if during wine tasting would have had a little snack along with it. loved the facility and great there is no parking fees.

Service and the people were wonderful

Needed a good home base for a quick trip to LA. Service was good with quick valet parking included in rate, nice bonus! Right off the 405 but very little road noise. Nice relaxing pool area and workout facility. Good choice!!

Service was great, and the overall condition of the hotel was great too. I like the quirky 50's-70's look of the exterior, and the interior was up to date, yet matched the style of the architecture. The complimentary wine hour was a very nice touch. The downstairs cafe/market was convenient, but predictably pricey. The lounge area by the pool was nice, and the fitness room was well maintained, had limited offerings, but had a treadmill, elliptical, dumbbells up to 45lbs, and various pulley/weight machines. My main complaint is that the freeway is incessantly loud. My room was on the 15th floor and didn't face the freeway directly, yet the din of the traffic never died down. My other complaint is that the location isn't convenient to restaurants, markets, etc., and you have to deal with the valet service anytime you want to drive your car. The hotel restaurant on the top floor has decent food and good service, but is way overpriced for dinner. Given the isolation of the hotel, they should offer some medium price range fare on the dinner menu. My employer pays for my meals up to a limit, and all the offerings were far over that limit. Basically the menu prices were out of line with the room rates, in my opinion. I sucked it up and had a salad and a hanger steak entree, no drink, and it cost me about $50 with tip.

Great place to stay if you want to visit the Getty Villa and Getty museum. And only 15 minutes from Nethercutt museum and Collection. 15 minutes from Santa Monica beaches. The dining room on the 17th floor was very nice and the food good but a bit pricey . Building is older and should have been built with more elevators.

Everything is good, except for the shower, the water pressure is not too good!

Very comfortable stay. Hotel offers great extras, such as complimentary parking and a nice happy hour. The access to the hotel is a bit uncomfortable due to the location of the property and L.A. traffic. Great if you're visiting UCLA or area nearby.
