The hotel is a lodge style right next to the Pilanesberg Game park gate and 5mins from Sun City. The rooms are huge and fabulously decorated. We had inclusive breakfast and dinner which was a huge buffet style with a great range and nice quality food. We also had game drives through the lodge which were very good. The lodge also offer a night Boma which I would highly recommend as the food is great and it is a fun thing to do. The park is not as big as the Kruger but there is a huge variety of animals to see and all the game drive rangers were very knowledgable about the animals. Overall this is a fantastic hotel with great service and good facilities and I would highly recommend it.

Nice clean rooms with large double beds. Excellent meals and game drives. Staff are very friendly and lots of activities outside the game drives.

Service not good, for example, only one person available at check-in time [14h00] and only one person person available at check-out time [10h00]. Also a la carte restaurant service not good - a simple toasted sandwich order was referred back from the kitchen, delivery took about 1 hour and even then one of the ordered items was missing. Well worth getting up at 5 am to go on the game drive, guides are informative and try to ensure that you see a good selection of game for example, lions, hippos, rhino.

Perfect location right in Pilansberg National Park and the hotel staff were fantastics. Friendly and helpful and particualrly the tour guides were very knowledgable. However we booked a family room which was 2 double beds in a room and it just wasn't big enough. I would have liked the option of booking a suite. Also the evening meal in the restaurant wasn't great. Some strange combinations and nothing that you'd recognise from a menu. My children ate dry pasta with a bit of cheese for the 3 nights we were there. However we would recommend this hotel and we would go back purely for the location.

If you are too far away from kruger national park, pilanesberg national park is a great alternative and Kwa Maritane Bush Lodge is right on the edge of the Park. I took a Half board stay so Dinner and Breakfast was part of the Price (which was higher than I am usually willing to pay… only stayed one day to take advantage of the free Safari ride). I am not sure if it is offered all the time but the Safari ride was part of the price as well. Food was good Safari ride was a bust but for $10 US (R90) I went in with my rental and was able to find a Rhino and Elephant the two I wanted to see… I saw pretty much everything but the Lion, hard to see the Lion, quite a bit of High Grass… Plenty of Wildebeests, Zebras, and Giraffes though. All-in-All, great place though you may want to take part of your Vacation over to the Sun City hotel…

Bad service, especially in the restaurant. Very poor quality food for dinner, better for breakfast.

The hotel and facilities were excellent. The quality of the food offered also was very high with a good selection. Unfortunately the attitude of the staff let the place down. Many were quite rude, and the main information desk/reception gave incorrect information about the parks opening times. Great location if you are travelling to Pilanesburg, but I would check all the details yourself before you leave :)

My family and I had a wonderful time at Kwa Maritane. The service was excellent and the staff very friendly. The ladies who do the children's activities were particularly good and our 7 year old twins never ran out of things to do. The lodge's proximity to Sun City also meant that we could enjoy the best of Sun City while being able to retreat to the peace of Kwa Maritane in the evenings.

We did not have hot water the following morning in our room. The carvery section was a good selection but all the meats where very tuff. Would suggest rather eat the salads and fish dishes. Else the hotel is ok

The price initially seemed steep, however it included breakfast and dinner and a game drive. Definitely value for money. The rooms were nice. They are a little old though. The service was as required and friendly staff. Definite recommendation.

Having had more than 25 safari experiences, this lodge was more a holiday hotel than a bush lodge. The safari itself was bad organized: the ranger was the chauffeur, having to take care of potholes all our the roads, with one hand on the wheel and one hand caring a spotting light, there was no time to really do the work you expect from a ranger. We went into the park in the morning with our own car and saw 10 times more animals than in a 3 hours safari with a ranger.

Fantastisk godt hotel inde i Pilanesburg National Park. Rigtigt lækre værelser af god standard, og naturglivis meget malerisk. Man kan booke ture med guide til game drives, men husk at gøre det hjemmefra da vognene hurtigt er fyldt op.

hotel muito velho, piscinas muito pequenas. A comida é otima e a localização também. Vale pelos safaris.

Hôtel de bon niveau dans le parc de PIlanesberg. Sejours avec safaris inclus dans de grands trucks. Proximite du complexe de Sun city. Observation de tous les animaux sauf les fauves.Le seul bémol est le manque de chaleur du personnel, et la nourriture bonne mais sans +. Possibilité de dormir avec les enfants dans la même chambre. Tennis, piscines avec une eau peu limpide, mini golf à l'hôtel.

Toller Ferienaufenthalt, absolut empfehlenswert mit direktem Zugang zum Nationalpark und incl. Safarifahrten. Hotel-/zimmerausstattung erstklassig mit Live-Bild auf Fernsehbildschirm vom nahen Wasserloch, um Tiere zu beobachten. Sehr freundliches Personal.

Fint hotel med en super beliggenhed. Super service, venlig personale og et fantastisk safari-område.

Relax en genieten, veel beter dan een hotel in Sun City zelf. Met een busje wordt je (tegen betaling uiteraard) naar Sun City gebracht en natuurlijk doe je de safari in Pilanesberg dat bij de prijs inbegrepen is!! Luxe rust en ruimte. Wij hadden een kamer op de begane grond (2 volw en 2 kinderen van 15 en 13 op 1 kamer (kan tot 18 jaar in Kwa Maritane! Probeer dat maar eens in een nader hotel...) ). We keken vanuit onze kamer en ons tuintje recht het Pilanesberg-reservaat in; ongelofelijk mooi 's morgens en 's middags bij zonsop- en ondergang! Geweldig, zeer betaalbaar ontbijt en diner, zeer vriendelijk personeel, echte service! Beslist een aanrader. Hotel zelf betreft verspreid liggende laagbouw, dus niet zo'n groot flatgebouw als normaal en ook zoals SunCity zelf alleen maar heeft. Hotels in SunCity zijn ook veel te duur in verhouding en niet flexibel als het gaat om kinderen op de kamer. Kwa Maritane geeft veel meer kwaliteit voor minder geld! Je bent snel in SunCity; dat ons eerlijk gezegd (in de winter van Zuid-Afrika) een beetje tegen viel, koud en heel leeg, hotels een beetje vergane glorie. Maar zeker toch leuk om 1 keer een de middag te doen; we hebben zelfs gezwommen ! De glijbanen van het zwembad zijn fantastisch en ze maken enorme golven in het zwembad (daar kun je onderhand op surfen....)!! Normaal moet je bijbetalen voor het zwembad maar in de winter hoefden wij dat niet. ABSOLUTE AANRADER dit hotel.

Je n'avais que 4 jours en Afrique du Sud et souhaitais 2 jours au Pilanesberg pour un premier aperçu d'un parc. Le Lodge Kwa Marinaté est très bien situé dans le parc même, et à dix minutes de Sin City. Les chambres sont très très confortables. Le lieu est très vert, avec un entretien méticuleux des jardins. Très bon petit-déjeuner. Dîner de qualité en buffet. Chambre très propre et grande, ambiance africaine (toit tressé). Service impeccable, lit fait le soir avec le petit chocolat sur l'oreiller ! Très bon rapport qualité prix avec hotel.com, avec notamment le safari photo journalier inclus. Une bonne affaire !!!
