we did not get a breakfast I thought was apart of price but other wise great!

Came to hotel for second time now. It says it is a 3 star plus but is 2 at most. It is pretty old and bathroom not in greatest shape. Was pretty clean and had fridge and microwave. Across from Mayfair mall and close to what we needed. Staff were pretty good. For the price it was OK but only for a short stay. Needs lots of upgrades!

Liked that fact that hotel was close to the mall. Since we were there for Christmas shopping we did not have to fight for a parking spot at the mall we just walked from hotel.There was another patron at the hotel that had a small dog that barked all night which was very annoying.

iT WAS A VERY NICE STAY. WE WERE DOWN FOR THE CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY. MIKE THE ATTEANT THAT WAS ON THAT NIGHT WE WERE THERE WAS VERY FRIENDLY. HE MADE OUR STAY VERY COMFORTABLE . WE WOULD COME AGAIN, AND STAY THERE. THANKS AGAIN FOR THE GOOD PRIZE AND COMFORT OF THE ROOM.

The room was clean, was the best thing about it. And the price was cheap. There was no coat/clothes hangers or any place to hang your clothes. The WI-FI only worked on the 1st. floor. It was very noisy. I would not recommend this Hotel.

Good, efficient, polite and professional service. Good value for the $.

I stayed for two nights, was put in a room that had been partially cleaned but not re stocked so I had no towels, etc. there were sole very strange noises coming from the next room for many hours each night and even though its supposed to be a non smoking building I smelled smoke a few times in the hallways and lobby. Overall none of this made me lose sleep or anything and the price was good, just a mediocre hotel experience for me

Excellent for the money. Our first room had a little smell to it. Also the toilet and the fridge did not work. In a very timely manner we were put into a bit larger room next door where all was more than expected. Pillows could have been a bit bigger but the bed was very comfortable. I didn't like my drivers licence being photocopied but they gave me the copy on check out when I asked for it.

Young man at the front desk was exceptionally rude and arrogant - made a lame joke about my reservation being cancelled when I checked in. Room decor dated but room adequately clean and bed okay; parking tight unless you wish to park at the back of the lot (seedy!) at the entrance to the lounge. Stayed here for proximity to business meeting - will pay more and stay elsewhere next time.

Nice Hotel, very friendly staff----nice pool & waterslide---- I would definately go back.... 4/5 stars

Air conditioning did not work. Very small, low to the ground queen bed. Not bad for the money, but probably wouldn't stay here again.

I found the hotel to be a very pleasant and quiet place to stay. The location very easy to find when arriving in Victoria, B.C.. The staff were always ready and willing to help should I have need of assistance. The front staff were very easy to deal with and were quick to give any information pertaining to my stay.

We were disappointed with non-smoking room, was a paint over of old smoking room with evidence of cigarette burns in carpet. We have very sensitive noses and had to keep window open to cope with the stale smell in the room. Room seemed to be in disrepair with holes in carpets, cracked tiles, unfinished tiling in bathroom, non-existent fan in bathroom. The cleaning staff were good and did the best they could with what they had to work with. (One ceiling attachment still covered in nicotene.)

It was great other than being woke up by police across the street at a crack motel at 3 am. Hotel staff went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. Maybe I need to ask for a hotel right downtown next time. Was close ,just not walking distance to the downtown events we went to.Again hotel staff was very happy and helpful. Room looked and smelled very clean.Our overall view of our stay was excellent. Lastly the breakfast at the hotel restaurant was very tasty , nice potion size and priced well.

All in all it was nice. Room was only cleaned once. Trying to get ready to go out for the evening and house keeping showing up at 4:00pm was very inconvenient.

Not an enjoyable stay with plug-up toilet and sink.

Close to downtown yet not noisy or hectic like the downtown core. Grandchild loved the pool and. Our room was conveniently situated outside pool patio. There is a restaurant on site but they use peanut oil so we had to leave as our grandson has severe allergy to peanuts. When we arrived our air conditioner was too noisy and they immediately moved us to another room. Service was great. We will stay there again.

We arrived to find the room we had was tiny with the bed (a double pinned to one wall). We were immediately offered an opportunity to pay for an upgrade but chose not to due to budget. The room was certainly not as portrayed on the website. It was at the front of the hotel and looked to be more of a converted store room. The tiny little air-conditioner hardly worked and required the curtain to be pulled back to get the air. This meant early morning light and the room had traffic noise and the sound of rain dripping just outside the window all the night. The bathroom door didn't close properly which is not ideal if using the toilet. We already paid $75 plus booking fees for this room which I think was intentionally misleading..... what is a junior room anyway? It would have been better to say this is our tiny room that we use to entice people to pay more for another room. The office was also reluctant to give us a clearance receipt upon leaving (as they had our credit card details). Could not recommend.

The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. A nice laid back atmosphere. Nice pool with a fun waterslide. Would stay here again.

Just a few minutes from downtown Victoria. Very clean and quiet

Room was nice and clean, especially linens. Bed was a bit hard - pillows incredibly flat. Very nice to have windows that open. Staff was super friendly. Waterslide was fun - but very *fast*! Small kids need to have an adult with them on the slide.

It is not fancy, it is not exotic, but it is practical. Our room had a weird layout, but it worked for a quick overnight stay. But being on Douglas, it can be noisy at times, depending on traffic. I would ask for a room farther back next time.

The hotel is conveniently located across from Mayfair mall, ( shopping destination), but some distance aways from downtown, where our activity centre was. Beds and bedding were clean and comfortable, although the pillows were the lumpiest we've ever tried to sleep on. There was visible dust on the TV cabinet as well as the rug surrounding it. I was glad I brought slippers because the carpet was not clean. We probably would not stay there again.

I originally booked the room because i liked the location and it has a pool with a waterslide. I was bringing my 6 yr old grandaughter back to the island and thought before I handed her back she could swim. Then I read the reviews and thought 'Well it's booked so lets see'. And off we drove. We arrived at the hotel which was super easy to find. The front desk attendent was super friendly. His name was John. Our check in was quick and efficient. As was adding an extra night. We arrived at our room and were pleasantly surprised. Some reviews said it wasn't clean. Ours was definitely clean. The bathroom does need some renos but it also was clean. We had two queen beds and both were new and comfortable. We didn't hear the noise some people complained of. No next door tv noise nothing. Some of the reviews said it's to far from the downtown. It is about a 15 min walk but if you're on vacation who cares? And If you have a car you're there in minutes. The location is across from the mayfair mall and there are many restaurants in the area. We didn't have any internet issues. Didn't seem slow to me. Maybe it's received an upgrade. We felt our stay was pleasant. And we would stay again.

Long walk to down town core. Pool was not warm enough rooms smelled like cigarettes.

This hotel seemed nice via the web page and we were looking forward to a nice stay in Victoria. We were excited to find a hotel that was pet friendly for a decent rate. Upon arrival, we were checked in, although the gentlemen checking us in seemed a bit confused as to what he was doing. The room itself had a weird smell to it, and most of the smell came from the mattress itself. The bathroom had visible mold. The gentleman working the evening/night shift seemed indifferent to helping customers. He was sitting on the lobby sofas, and when approached by a customer who was having difficulty with the key instead of jumping up to help him, or taking interest in the problem, he continued to sit, and rudely said that he just needs to stick the key into the door. Several times I found this gentleman outside smoking and on his cell phone. Upon returning from supper and an evening out in the city, we entered the lobby to find the same gentleman still sitting on the sofa, with his girlfriend sitting in his lap, getting quite intimate. This is not something that anyone wants to see, especially a guest at a hotel. I felt quite uncomfortable and embarrassed for us as we entered the lobby, and we were quick to leave early that morning. Overall, I’ve received better service and a nicer hotel, for a lesser fee in Vancouver.

Very good location to downtonw Victoria. Good pricing. Pet friendly. Nice and clean & good service. Nice hotel restaurant & reasonable prices.

This Inn has a great Restaurant the food is good and lots of it, I would recommend it for food rather than Dennys down the road. BUT !! The room is in need of alot of work. There was no bathroom fan. The room is very stuffy and no air circulation. The bathroom fixtures , tub/sink toilet are all stained. The walls are paper thin and could hear the next door people yaking it up and the TV on all night. They alowed people who smoked in a non smoking room, they did go outside but we could not open our window for fresh air because the smoke came inside it. We were on the ground floor. The cleaning lady did tell us that was a issue, with staff and customers, smoking in that area. I would personnaly look for a different place. What we paid per night was too much.
