Holiday Inn Express Jacksonville - Blount Island - ג'קסונוויל

This hotel was perfect for an overnight stay before a cruise. It's the closest one to the cruise terminal. I was mistakenly under the impression that the shuttle to the terminal is included - it's extra if you book through Hotels.com but not if you take one of the hotel's cruise packages. Also, be prepared to shell out a lot of money for a taxi if you flew and want to head somewhere other than Wendy's for dinner. It cost $28.00 for two people to go oneway to Town Center. Luckily this was just our return trip - on the way there we were able to share a taxi with several people. The hotel itself is very nice and we would stay here again.

Very comfortable and quiet. The morning hot breakfast was excellent! Really enjoyed the stay.

We stayed here after we got off of the ship. The stag was very friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the breakfast the following morning was more than hearty. The location and surroundings aren't the greatest, but we just needed a place to rest our heads for one night anyway. I would stay here again if we sailed from the Jacksonville port.

Everything was awesome, there was not a free breakfast but the buffett was Amazing and priced well. Pool is in the shade in the afternoon which is annoying. Service was outstanding.

We often stay at this hotel for close access to the beaches and state park north of Jacksonville. As always, we enjoyed our stay.

When we arrived at 3:45, our room wasn't ready, but we told the front desk lately we need to get ready for a 5pm wedding, she changed our room for one that was ready and was very polite and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The continental breakfast was a nice perk to have the next morning. The hotel was easy to get to. Overall I thought it was a nice deal for the price.

Hotel was clean and like other Holiday Inn Express I've stayed in. But, staff was unfriendly- too busy talking with man hanging out at the front desk. No directions were given on easiest access to parking and my room. I was asked if I was on a cruise; I answered yes, but no response or reason for asking was given. I noticed other guests had to ask a lot of questions as the clerk was not communicative. If I stay there again, it will only be because of the closeness to the Jaxport.

So it's about what you would expect from a Holiday Inn.... nothing too fabulous, but nothing bad, either. Breakfast was just okay. The location leaves something to be desired. No restaurants, besides Wendy's, for several miles. Nice place to run, though - big birms on the side of the road and long loops.

Holiday inn express at blount island was great. All employees were very courteous answered all questions we had. Since not being from rhe area they gave very good directions to retail stores and restaurants near hotel. Hotel very clean, rooms nice and roomy, excelent location near cruiseport. shuttle service drivers very helpful. Will probably use this hotel service again when we go for cruise vacation out of Jacksonville in the future.

We had a very nice time. The staff were very professional and very friendly. The room was very clean and spacious. We enjoyed a very nice full breakfast.

Great location to catch your cruise. The shuttle from the hotel to cruise terminal was worth the stay. I would stay there again.

Recently had the privledge to stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Jacksonville Florida(the one near the cruise port). The Staff handled a situation,not of their fault, with extremely great service. The cruise line (I will not mention) was late to port. Not once, but on four occations the cruise was delayed. This wondeful hotel notified us each and evey time we were delayed. They were frendly,informitive, and helpful. They did a great job of salvaging a potential nightmare and got us on our cruise. This took until 11 oclock that night. THey let us stay in our room..no extra charge......,Amazing service. Thank YOU Needless to say, I will Stay with this hotel in the future

Perfect for those cruising out of Jacksonville's port. Easy access off the interstate, cordial personnel and all the amenities needed for an eacy in and out overnight stay.

It was great to have access to the natural area north of Jacksonville.

There is nothing but a Wendys and a highway near this hotel. If you stay here, plan on eating Wendys or driving into town for dinner.

This hotel is the closest to the current cruise port and offers discounted parking with free shuttle service to the ship. The public areas were well maintained and the staff was friendly. However this is a Smoking facility. In spite of requesting a non-smoking room when I made my reservation a full month in advance, and also when checking-in at 3:00 in the afternoon, we were given a smoking room that had obviously never had the air filters cleaned. Towels, sheets, pillows all smelled of stale smoke. I won't stay here again.

This hotel was very clean and safe, and the staff was exceptionally courteous. There is not much in the immediate area, but it is very close to cruise ships and also close to the Jacksonville zoo. There is a fast food restaurant immediately adjacent to the hotel that is open 24 hours, and it is just off of I-295.

I booked this not knowing where it was and telling the person on the phone at hotel.com what I needed.The hotel was suppose to have shuttle service it did not.I had to pay an arm and a leg for a taxi. I wanted to be near the Naval base it was 25 minutes away. The rooms are clean and the staff was nice ,but the location is terrible.

The moment I checked in, I recieved great customer service...I wished I would have asked his name so I could put it here, but he was from New Orleans, that's all I remember. He gave me prompt and full attention when needed for anything, even if he was on a phone call. My check in process was quick, and the cleanliness of the room was superb! And customer service was great both during the day and night. The breakfast wasn't all that great, that was probably the only thing... BUT who cares!? The gym was very clean also! If you forgot ANY amenities, the front desk has them, but the location was in the middle of nowhere... [so it seems] because it took the YELLOW CAB taxi drivers FOREVER to come over or bring you back...but Overall stay was great!

Everything good, but the housekeeping enter the room the next early morning and wake me up.

I have stayed at this hotel before and liked it so much, I decided to use it again. On the phone, the reservation staff was kind and helpful regarding transportation. However, once we arrived, the front desk seemed chaotic. They even checked us into a room that was still occupied!! After waiting in the hallway for a room, the clerk finally checked us into another room that hadn’t been properly cleaned. I won’t stay here again.

Very nice hotel...... will stay there again.

First off they tried to charge me for the room even though I booked it through hotels.com. Everything was out of order. None of the soda machines worked and the bathroom on the main floor was out of order. The only reason we stayed here is because it is so close to the JAX Port Authority.

We spent the day at Little Talbot Island (A+) and then the night at the hotel on the way home. It was very clean and pleasant, perfect for our "need a decent place to spend the night" on our way home as opposed to a destination hotel - it is right near a highway exit. It would ahve been nice if the pancake machine worked at breakfast, but other than that it was a nice place to stay...

I have stayed here numerous times and I always enjoy the service as well as the accommodations. The staff is always friendly and there to answer any questions you may have in a timely fashion. The room is exceptionally clean and very comfortable. It is a bit on the pricey side, but if you are planning to choose accommodations around the airport, this hotel is a great alternative. Just a few miles down the road and at a savings.

We stayed here while visiting our daughter at Jacksonville University. It's on the highway between the airport and the main arteries into town -- easy access. The windows actually open and we slept with them that way without a lot of highway noise. There is a Wendy's next door and a gas station/convenience store across the main street (no crosswalk)...nothing else. This worked for us since we didn't hang around the hotel except to sleep. The staff is friendly and accommodating. We were offered chilled bottles of water and oreos upon arrival :-) A display of hot cookies was out as well. The hot breakfast in the morning included scrambled eggs, bacon, biscuits, and gravy in addition to the standard cold goodies. Our stay was 2 nights and the maid service never showed up. We didn't need the service for such a short stay, but it was odd. We only asked for clean towels and didn't bring it up with management since we weren't around anyway. We will return to this location in the future. It's right down the road from Little Talbot Island, one of our favorite Jacksonville beaches.

Very nice people. The breakfast buffet was good quality for the price we paid. Also very close to the Jacksonville zoo. Only a hop, skip, and a jump.

From walking into the lobby until our departure, the staff was very friendly and helpful with every need we had. I wish we had stayed there 2 years ago when we took our last cruise out of Jacksonville. If we ever have a reason to come back to this area, this will be the hotel we choose.

The staff is the best! We will come back!

We stayed at this hotel because of its proximity to the cruise terminal. The gentleman that picked us up at the airport was delightful. He shared information about the Jacksonville area on the drive to the hotel, waited for us to get checked in, then drove us to a restaurant. The staff at the desk was friendly, too. I would definitely stay again!

A very nice hotel. Excellent service, excellent complimentary breakfast, & very comfortable bed. We enjoyed our stay.

Great locationd, not far from Jax beaches and shopping outlets, clean and quiet. Only thing I hated was the pool and jacuzzi was not clean
