The facilities where very clean, the staff was very friendly, and the location was amazing. This place is a hidden gem in Ft. Lauderdale, and we're already looking forward to going back next year!!!

The room was clean, we had a kitchen and prepared breakfast every day. The people at the office were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean. The garden area is beautiful. The hotel is located a block from the beach and a block from the water taxi. Very safe area. We will be back!!!

If you are a go,do,see,explore all kind of person then this is the hotel for you. If you are a sleep in on luxurious bedding, lounge in your plush hotel accommodations kind of person this is definitely not your place. The hotel could not get any better in location, one block from the beach and Starbucks, steps away from oceanfront restaurants and bars, walkable to Las Olas and Sunrise, and steps away from the awesome water taxi. The staff is incredible, very helpful, friendly, and accommodating. Beautiful pools, free beach chairs as well as beach towels. But our room was nothing to be excited about. It was clean but everything, especially the tile in the bathroom needed updating. It suits your basic needs, and if you're like us and dont spend much time in your room then its fine. But if you like a large luxurious hotel room this was not it. The overall experience, staff, and location help boost it's ratings.

this is about 1 block off the "adult" end of Ft. Lauderdale Beach. it took us a little while to figure out where to eat, but other than that, this was a convenient location. it's a scant two blocks to the Water Taxi (which seemed to be overwhelmed on Sunday). This place is definitely quaint, 40 to 50 years old, but has been renovated and kept clean. not a Hyatt or Weston, but a good value.

you cannot get to the street it is on without going past it and making u turns to even find the street name > there is no one avail after 6pm and we notified them we would be late and we ended up waking someone up to find they had left key in the mail box. the room was smaool and the bathroom was so small that when we first looked in we didnt even see a shower it was behind the door and it was bad. the place needs a whole update and overhaul the rooftom patio is on the next door hotel not this one. definately would rate this 1star at the most it was that bad.

We really enjoyed our stay at Casa del Mar. Our room was clean and comfortable, with a refrigerator microwave and toaster oven. The hotel is a beautiful old building and nicely landscaped. The pool was nice with lots of comfy lounge chairs around. The hotel is set back from the beach about a block and just a short walk from all the bars and restaurants. You need a key to enter the property so it is secure. The front desk staff was very helpful in giving us directions and making recommendations for meals and entertainment. I would definitely recommend this hotel and I intend to go back next time I am in Fort Lauderdale!

Great little gem in an awesome location. The desk staff was very friendly and accommodating. Although the property is older, my room was clean & comfortable with a newer mattress. Shower (no tub) was excellent w/ great water pressure. The pool is on the small side, but I was the only one on the deck, so it didn't matter. Newer padded lounge chairs which can be moved about to catch the sun. Otherwise, the courtyard is heavily landscaped & quiet. 2 blocks to the beach and Casablanca restaurant. Across the street from the Westin w/ multiple bar & restaurant options. What's not to like?

My wife and I stayed at La Casa Del Mar when having to go to south Florida to wrestle government bureaucrats. It rained constantly when we were there, so we didn't get to use the pool or sit in the nicely (overly?) vegetated garden to read as we had hoped. It seemed like a great oasis to relax with a good book in the sun, though. We were a little surprised at the staff leaving seat cushions out in the rain, which made it impossible to sit by the pool even after the rain stopped. The limited front desk hours didn't bother us much, and the cleaning staff was friendly and very service-oriented (but didn't speak a word of English). The room was okay, it was clean but it had a cheap feel to it and one could tell the furniture etc were either old or very cheap or both. Perhaps this was expected considering the low price for the area, but it didn't add value to our experience. The location is fantastic, only a very brief walk from the beach and luxury hotels and with free parking and wifi.

Extremely satisfied with the quality of service. The Hotel is located right near the beach which was exactly what we were looking for. We Loved the hotel and how cozy it was. The room's decor was very inviting and we loved it. We will most definitly come back! <3

This hotel was simply perfect! We are Miami local looking to get away and found this rustic, closed in little villa in the middle of the Ft Laudy action! We had the inetrcoastal on one side and the ocean was walkng distance. The room was spacey enough for 2-3 days, it had a fully equipped small kitchen. The bathroom was clean and new with all its little things in place. The bed itself was very big and comfortable. The pillows were clean. The tv was a flat screen tv. There's a cabana situated in the other side of the hotel, up on the third floor roof deck. Very nice view, we fell asleep up there. Overall, great hotel, i would definitely go back and recommend it for anyone!

Stayed for two nights after a loss in the family. The hotel was one block from the hotel and was just peaceful and relaxing. A real mom and pop place verses the big hotels that we are just not into. Perfect location... Staff was extremely helpful.

The staff was fantastic. Everyone was helpful and friendly. The owner came to personally introduce herself to us(how many hotels do you know where that happens). The place was set up like a mansion more than a hotel. It made us feel like we got way more then we paid for. The beach is just under a block away. Dining and shopping where also al within a block. The part that I liked was that we had a mini kitchen with pots, pans, and all utensils to cook a full meal. We took a half day fishing charter and cooked our bounty for dinner. My girlfriend loved everything about it. We would highly recomend this place to anyone looking for a romantic getaway.

Location was excellent, but room we were given was not as nice as ones on their website which was disappointing. We had no view, and room was small and dark. Woken through the night by people walking about upstairs. Reception staff did offer to move us but we had unpacked and were only staying 2 nights, 2nd night was not as bad noisewise. When we booked the website stated that there was a breakfast included, but when we asked were told they were not offering this any more, but there was no reducton in charge. Roof terrace was a mess, nothing like the pics on the website!! We booked 7 different hotels for this trip and this was the one I was most excited about, very disappointing. Upside was that the staff were very helpful and friendly and location was good, but I can not recommend and will not be returning

The La Casa Del Mar is a small, older facility only 1 block from the beach, and 2-3 blocks north of the heart of the Ft. Lauderdale beach strip. Yet it was quiet, low-key, and almost felt secluded. Room was clean and well appointed in spite of the hotel's age, but suitable only for two people. If you prefer character and quietness over the impersonality and bustle of a large national chain hotel, then you will probably be happy here. We will definitely plan to stay here on our next trip to Ft. Lauderdale in July.

Very friendly staff, nice pool and garden, on a quiet side-street and only one block from the ocean. La Casa Del Mar is a small, older hotel dwarfed by it's neighbor to the east, the Weston Hotel. Some might consider it just slightly 'funky', but it is very clean and comfortable. The location is it's high point, the thin walls and very basic continental breakfast are it's low points, as well as it's cost during the winter high season, but high cost is the norm in Florida in season. I recommend it.

Hotel very convenient. It is pretty. Here is what we faced: 1- Hotel was almost empty. Lots of nicer rroms available and they put us in a small room. The only outlet was in the bathroom. 2- Bed and Breakfast? Hardly- Breakfast canteen opened at 830am. Kind of late and what was there? Muffins and Bagles prepackaged by Otis Spunkmeyer! Like found in a cheap motel. Plastic forks, mixed fruit jelly. What a disappointment. It isnt a B&B. It is a motel with minimum services. best part is location. But better sleep in a hostel.

The room was very small. Water in the swimming pool was not very clean, so it didn't encourage me to swim there. The best plus is the location - a block from the beach and close to the stripe of beach bars and restaurants. Taxi to Las Olas Blvd where you go for night fun will cost you $10-15. Overall, I think it's overpriced.

I enjoyed my stay very much!! Close to everything , people very nice, overall nice place and would stay there again.

Fijn verblijf gehad in dit kleinschalige hotel. De zitjes en ligstoelen rond het zwembad en in de tuin waren perfect, 's avonds kon je nog gezellig buiten zitten. Er was een goede handdoekservice, je kon zoveel handdoeken nemen als je wilde. Het hotel lag op enkele minuten lopen van het strand, het hotel had stoelen die je mee naar het strand kon nemen. De bedden waren prima, de kamer was goed en netjes, de badkamer was erg basic. De restaurants lagen op 5 tot 10 min. loopafstand.

Vi var där 2 nätter i mars 2013. Mycket mysigt litet hotell med bra läge och rent rum. Det fanns kokplatta kyl mm och ett bra centralt läge både till strand och restauranger. Bor gärna där igen.

Som en grön oas bland alla stora hotell. Trevligt och mysigt men dåligt underhållet. Nära till stranden och hyfsat utbud med restauranger i närheten, dvs 10 - 15 minuters promenad.

Das Casa del Mar war zu unserem buchungszeitpunkt das günstigste im Verhältnis zur Entfernung vom Strand in Ft. Lauderdale. Die Zimmer sind alt wie das ganze Hotel allerdings verfügt alles über einen gewissen Charme. Die Lage macht jedoch die kleineren Makel jederzeit weg. Das Personal ist zudem sehr hilfsbereit und man fühlt sich willkommen.

Bra förutom att det står att frukost ingår vilket det inte gör då de ej har den servicen längre.

Wir waren über Silvester in dem Hotel und es war toll. Die Angestellten waren sehr freundlich und man war in nur 2 Minuten am Strand. Dort haben wir dann auch den Silvester verbracht. Es gibt eine Reihe von Bars, Cafes und ähnlichem, die in 5-10 Minuten zu Fuß zu erreichen sind. Einzig mit dem Frühstück gabs ein Problem. Wir hatten ein Angebot mit Frühstück gebucht, welches vom Hotel gar nicht angeboten wird.

Ankom sent og hadde avtalt at nøkkel lå klar til oss da resepsjonen stenger tidlig. Prisene varierer etter sesong og vi var der helgen før nyttår 2012/ 2013. Litt dyrere da, men helt greit. Hoteller i denne prisklassen er ofte noe mer slitt og slitent enn dyrere hoteller, men her følte vi at vi fikk bra for pengene. Reiser mye i Florida og dette var et bra sted. Hyggelig med haven og bassenget og at det ligger så sentralt i forhold til Las Olas Blvd. Bassenget er ikke oppvarmet, noe som de burde være om vinteren, om ikke er vannet litt vel kaldt. Frokost er det ikke der, selv om de skriver de har det, men masse muligheter i nærheten for en matbit og så har rommene et lite kjøkken og bra kjøleskap om man ønsker og lage selv.

Morgenmad skal man selv spørge efter, som efterfølgende bliver leveret til værelset, og består af en tør bagel og muffin.

De ligging van het hotel is prachtig, in een rustige zijstraat van Las Olas boulevard, zeer dicht bij het strand. Het is echt een rustige oase. De kamer en meubulair is wat ouder en in onze kamer ( nr 13) bleef het toilet spoelen. Ontbijt stelt niet veel voor, maar de service is prima. Erg aardige mensen die ons ontvangden. We hebben er in totaal 2 nachten doorgebracht en ik zou het zeker weer boeken.

God beliggendhed. Gå afstand til stranden samt by livet omkring strand promonaden. Super flinkt og hjælpsomt personale. Gratis parkering samt internet. Kan klart anbefales...
