We came for Coachella weekend. The hotel is old school, the service was good and the staff friendly. The rooms are outdated especially the bed linens. We went to target and bought a blanket to put on the bed.

I was pleasantly surprised at how wonderful the location was as well as how huge the rooms were. Very quaint and included a free breakfast. Nice pool and jacuzzi right outside your room. I will definitely be back!

overall it was bearable but a negative impression. Guests & employees were very friendly, but female owner (roughly 40?) was cold and seemed "bothered". Interior courtyard with pool is very inviting and relaxing, but unit/room needs serious updating. 30 year old tiling chipped and with piecemeal repairs in kitchen and bath. Bathroom smelled very musty due to old mildewed polyester shower curtain that needs replacing, but I guess owners cannot afford a new shower curtain once a year? Noisy overhead air conditioner (circa 19060) in room woke us up each time it came on and ran each night. Old carpet feels like non-existent razor-thin cover over concrete floor beneath. Bed was comfortable and everything worked, but room was dark and felt dingy. Gives impression that ownership does "nickel and dime" and "band-aid" repairs. Breakfast does not "open" until 8:00 each morning, so it is of no benefit if you're an early riser. Lazy ownership or just too cheap to pay an employee to arrive earlier? Would only stay here again as a last resort, if it was a quick depart single night, or if pricing was reduced to motel-level terms.

The 1st thing we noticed was the small parking lot. We had to park on the streets to check in. Also, there's no hotel staff after 5pm. If you need something or someone, you have to call a number for assistance. We're used to sleeping without the sound of plastic on the mattress, so it took us a while to get a good night sleep. And last, the breakfast room is too small and a very small breakfast selection. The room itself was roomy and clean. the bathroom did have enough towels and was clean. the AC worked well and was very quiet.

We loved the hotel. The service was great, and the location was very convenient. Our one complaint was the spotty internet service. We are small business owners, and must check in frequently by computer. The internet service was so unreliable that, despite the fact that we loved the hotel, we may end up staying elsewhere by necessity.

Hotel is in poor condition. Pool is cold & spa is old and feel really grungy. Room a/c is crazy and loud. Light in setting area when on make the old t.v. have static so you can't watch the t.v. & the stations are hard to get and not any stations you would want to have. The rooms are in need of a remodel as the couch has holes, curtains dirty and bathrooms need upgrading. This hotel is like a old highway truck stop, so if that's what you are looking for or are use to then this hotel will work fine for you. Not a repeat for us. If this hotel actually remodeled the entire property it has real potential to be a fantastic boutique hotel! But right now, it's in bad shape. To bad.

Enjoyed our stay in this very clean, large room. Some may consider it a littled dated but it was a great value. We have stayed at 2 other in the area that were more expensive and this was far nicer.

I stayed here in March, 2013 based upon reviews. i was not disappointed in my decision. The bed was a bit hard, but other than that i had no complaints and the staff was extremely helpful. The continental breakfast was ample and we really enjoyed our stay. I would happily return for a week long stay to bask in the sun and decompress. It seemed like several of the rooms were occupied by "regulars" that returned yearly because they loved it.

Was a little surprised by the office hours when we tried to check in at night only to find out the office is only open 8am-5pm. Luckily there was a call box and the lady was nice enough to get out of bed and come check us in. Then we got to the room and it was large but I was overwhelmed by the bad smell which I can only assume was coming from the filthy stained carpet. The beds were not to my liking as far as comfort, but I prefer a firmer mattress and my family was ok with what they had. The rest of the room was clean and nice enough, just the carpet needed to be replaced or at the very least deep cleaned. Would not stay here again.

I feel likeI found a gem. It's a no frills little place but just perfect if you need to stay close to El Paseo. I felt safe, the room was clean and it was close to where I needed to be. They also had a very nice continental breakfast. I'll certainly use this hotel again for an overnight,

I felt the hotel was quaint and the grounds (ie, pool) were superb. The room was clean but needs updating. The carpet needed to be replaced or cleaned. The staff was friendly and the overall stay was great. I would stay there again.

Our stay was very brief, but the old-fashioned quality of service we experienced was noteworthy. I would hope to stay here again when we have more time to enjoy its amenities.

Still uses room keys instead of key cards! Vintage Bed and Breakfast feel. LOVED IT! I will definitely stay there again! Rooms were VERY clean, with microwave/fridge. Spa/Pool were very nice/clean. Great customer service!

Room nice and as spacious/more spacious than others. Location just off busy streets but not noisy at all. Pleased with overall stay. Weather too cool for us to swim & enjoy nice pool. Liked the pretty gardens around the hotel.

Had a nice time. Hotel close to a lot of shopping for those who need. Restaurants and fast food nearby. Vons and Ralf's nearby.

Upon our arrival for 10 day stay, must say I was surprised that TA feedback has this property rated over 4; would give it 3.5 at most. PROS: was quiet area off Hwy 111, location fine for us (can drive & sightsee either E or W), pool was clean enough, we could tell hsekeeping kept unit clean & tidy, fridge and m/w both clean, brkfst rm (or outside) was OK, free wifi a must for us, but..... CONS: peeling grout & old flooring; no fan in bthrm; could hear people in adjoining rooms--never pleasant; bed squeaked every time sitting down/getting out of it/& sometimes even turning over; size of rm was 'OK' but thought we were getting more of a "kitchenette" & guess we only had a "standard" rm, so we used disposable plates & plastic utensils & managed on the table in the rm; small breakfast--mainly bagels & pastries, but no bread for toast nor cereal except pkgd oatmeal (but no milk out for it, so we brought our own from our rm), apples & oranges, only a couple days was there yogurt, & 3-4 times hard boiled eggs, & other times staff didn't bother to get such items from the fridge (marked with a note not to open) & we didn't realize until later about that {meaning we could have asked, but thought maybe some items were for weekends only}. We got a good rate, so it was worthwhile for us; however, we would probably look elsewhere next time. Re comments about smoking--we had specifically asked for nonsmking (allergies) & had no problems.

we really enjoyed "the inn". its run by the owner who's there all the time. room was spacious, clean & comfortable. breakfast room was quaint & "warm" with real bowls, cups & glasses! tablecloths too! parked @ the curb was a 1914 Model T! that tells U about the neighborhood.............

The front office folks were super friendly, the pool and spa were nice, and the room was clean and had a fridge and a microwave. What's not to like? The bed was a little hard but then I like really soft ones. This is a smaller, apparently family owned property, and just felt very friendly. I was happy to stay there and would stay again.

rooms very clean, well maintained, I arrived at 6:00 pm, the office was closed. Somewhat difficult to find the sign that said what number to call to reach the after hours manager to let me into my room. Had to wait about 20 minutes for manager to arrive. Breakfast had hard boiled eggs, bagels, french toast, juices, coffee. Served only from 8-10:00 am. Not much left egg wise or hot food wise after 9:30. A little out of the way from events, but the price was great online.

There was a glitch in the wiring and some lights and tv didn't work. We called the front desk and they moved us immediately to a better room. They were very apologetic and accommodating. This is a great little place to stay when visiting the desert. Also, it's location is very well situated for access to all the desert has to offer.

We enjoyed our stay at the Inn. The room was big and it was quiet there. We have a seven yr old and he loved it. We misplaced our key and had to call after hours. They showed up in <10minutes with a key for us. Will stay there again. Thanks!

Being a seasoned traveler, it is always such a blessing to stay at a quaint, friendly, comfortable, and relatively small hotel...where you leave your windows open and often doors, where it is not so large that you fade into anonymity. Such was and is my experience at this great property...perfect for those who enjoy the difference, and a bit more .enjoy

This is an inexpensive hotel, it's not the Four Seasons and for what you pay it's very fair. It has good hot water, it's clean, the staff is accommodating, the room sizes are generous, it's quiet, has a jacuzzi, great location, easy parking. I feel that this place really tries to be the best it can be. I'm already booked again for next month so I will be back.

Very economical. Comfortable and clean with a neighborhood flavor. Really nice hotel staff.

We did not pay for a top rate hotel and were satisfied with an average hotel. Very kind hotel personnel and large rooms.

It was a terrific place top stay but I wish the continental breakfast started earlier than 8!

My wife and I stayed here for a one night getaway. Got a really good rate. It's in a great location in Palm Desert right next to our favorite restaurants and shops. Very small and quiet. Room was a nice size. Big walk in closet with fridge and microwave. Bed was comfortable. Pool was a good size and open 24 hours. Really nice staff. We paid a third less than the places we usually go and it was a nice surprise. We would go back.

It was very comfortable. The rooms were large and clean. The receptionist was very nice.

Old but O.K. Swimming pool was good and fun.

Everyone was SO friendly, the grounds, and the rooms were clean and comfy, they have a large pool, and they offer a nice continental breakfast! The staff make you feel like they have known you; it is a really down-to-earth atmosphere that we plan to make our new "regular-spot" whenever we are going to be staying in the area! If you are looking for a fancy hotel, then keep looking, but if you are looking for that "home-away-from-home" feel, this is your place!

Happy with all service and an excellent value. Thank you. Will stay there again.

Very nice lodging for the week.

quiet, right on the pool, shopping is within walking distance, clean

Our room was extremely hot. The temperature outside was 114 and inside was 97. If the hotel was going to rent our room the ac should have been on.The carpet was filthy. Absolutely needed to be replaced. Staff was nice enough and breakfast adequate. Would never stay here again. The location was very good as was the neighborhood.

This was a very good find and highly reccomended for a quiet, CLEAN, and comfortable stay at well-kept vintage hotel. The grounds,pool,spa are well-kept. Good internet connection, handy location, printer for boarding passes. The staff is extremely accomodating. All the linnens were new looking and fresh smelling.Continental breakfast is simple, with breads,muffins,begals,hot cereal, boiled eggs,etc...more than I would eat at home. Look forward to another stay when passing through...or even for an extended getaway.

Older but nice hotel. It was very clean and quiet. I would stay again very soon.

The hotel was better than i thought it would be! We booked last minute and the hotel was able to accomodate us with early check in as early as 4am with no additional fee and check in is usually at 4pm. That was very helpful to us because my fiancee' and I were there to take our daughters 2 to Soak City just a few minutes away and we wanted to leave our things in the room before going there. The room was spacious and clean and had nice large mirrors over the sink and in the room area, great air conditioner too. My only complaint is that the bathroom did not have a vent, but not exactly a deal breaker! The part we all really enjoyed... A nice big pool and a jacuzzi right outside our door that we put to good use as soon as we got back from soak city and we had a great time in it with the kids until late at night! We loved the fact that the pool was open to us at any time! Heck we even had a few "BAT" buddies put on a show for us by flying over us while we swam. Not scary at all. The kids and I found it interresting and they never came really close tu us.There are even BBQ's around the pool area which is very convenient and great if you want to just kick back and relax with a couple of stiff drinks and a steak! Overall, we would deffinately stay here again!!!

The reception desk person was wonderful! Everyone that we met in the office was professional, and at the same time, made you feel so very welcome, with a family-like reception.I will stay here again.

We chose this motel to stay overnight to visit Joshua Tree. It is a pleasant little motel. The side street is quiet and fortunately we were able to park our car on the street because the motel was full and all the parking spaces were taken. It has a nice pool area with hot tub. The people are helpful.

We stayed there because we wanted to find an affordable and clean hotel that was pet-friendly. We found it. Would recommend it for people traveling with pets. All the rooms have a little balcony/terrace and they have continental breakfast. You really do get great service at an affordable price.
