DAVES STRAW HAT INN - מאלאי

Location is hard to find and is not easily accessible from the beach. The pillows smell bad. No shampoo in the bathroom and staff said they don't provide it. It's expensive for what it is, you can get a much better accommodation for what they're charging.

Great staff, good location (quiet and 2 mins walk to beach), handy book exchange, decent room (safe and balcony a nice touch for a fan room), food ok...wish we had more than 1 night there.

Dave's Straw Hat Inn is nicely situated in the less noisy station 3. Once I had arrived, the staff made my stay very comfortable. They were willing to give me advice, help, or whatever I needed. The room was just as described in the listing with no surprises. The beach is a quick 2 minute walk, and then only about 5 more minutes walk to tons of shopping. I wish I had stayed longer in Boracay!

We loved the place. Its the sort of place that is immediately relaxing. The "reception desk" is a small area on a patio which is shared with their small dining area and a lending library. Everyone knew our names immediately and did everything to provide a comfortable relaxing stay. I deleted their email detailing the pickup details from the airport. I emailed Janet and she sent me a copy almost immediately. You don't get that kind of service from big luxury hotels It's an easy 5 minute walk to the beach. If you want a big room with all the amenities (and the price to go with it!) then this is not the place for you. But if you want a very low key, friendly place then stay here!

We stayed at the fan hut which is indeed very small.. but they do mention that quite clearly in their description.. the staff is very friendly and helpful.. the location is perfect .. overall I would definitely recommend daves.. -Deepika

Great service. Quieter location which makes it ideal as it is out of the way from the bar area. One fault, poor internet reception which was important for me during the stay.
